We had not been to this restaurant for at least 20 years because we usually go to our 'regular' Greek for dinner elsewhere. But I must say this is really a top Greek restaurant, delicious, tender spiced meat. This is definitely worth repeating. What we thought was a shame is that we had to wait a very long time for our order, this was probably because of the enormous crowds.

The food was delicious, the gyros are always delicious and you can use the tasty salad bar. Friendly service in a cozy restaurant.

The food was tasty, but the service could be better. It seemed like everything was forgotten every time. And it wasn't that busy at all... Had to ask for taking orders several times. When the food arrived, we were not given any plates or cutlery.... Quite handy if you want to eat.... and for paying, we also had to ask several times before anyone came. So not recommended.

Byzantium is one of our regular Greek restaurants. The main reasons to keep coming back are the friendly owner and the delicious salad bar. As lovers of salad in general, Greek cabbage, feta and olives, we always gratefully use the salad bar. To be honest, the quality of the food varies somewhat. Sometimes the salmon is perfectly cooked, other times it is cooked a little too long or too short. And the same goes for the gyros. I have eaten it perfectly before, but I have also often eaten it too undercooked (crispy) for my taste. What is true is that you can always say something about it. Then the kitchen also takes this into account. So it is no problem to adjust a dish or take something into account. That makes us happy to come back. I also think that the dishes are definitely worth their price. The price-quality ratio is therefore good. The decor is very cozy. It can be very busy on public holidays or weekend days. Then it is sometimes difficult to understand each other. But of course that also has to do with the volume at which some guests talk. Reservations are definitely recommended for weekends and holidays!

Had dinner here with friends. No photos were taken, so that's a good sign! It was very busy but the food was delicious. Nice and tender meat (souvlaki). And I liked that there was a salad bar. Plenty of choice and this was delicious too! Would definitely go back here again. And all for an affordable price.

Greek restaurant Byzantium has been my favorite place to eat Greek food for years. I come here monthly and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent – ​​hot and rich in flavour. Over the years I have tried several Greek restaurants, but none compare to Byzantium. The service is also always friendly and fast. Even if we come with a large group, all the food is served at the same time, so that everyone can enjoy a delicious hot dish together. In terms of price-quality ratio, Byzantium deserves a big 10. While many restaurants nowadays raise prices considerably, Byzantium still remains affordable. You really get value for your money here and you never leave hungry. In short, an absolute must for those who love tasty Greek food and good service!

I was recently here Wednesday evening for dinner with coworkers in a mixed group, so today Saturday 11 by myself and was turned away saying that they were busy as they seat other guests passing right by me. I would make the mistake and visit here again.

after a decline in the last years... today was better again staff still needs to learn to be more attentive, but I saw the effort when we managed to grab their attention and they are polite also I will say the quality of the beef was excellent 👍

We have been here several times because we thought it was a great restaurant. Only today we were put in a corner when we made a reservation. This results in little to no operation. No ouzo at the beginning, everyone except us. Afterwards we indicated that we wanted to order dessert, but after a very long wait I paid and left. Pity.

Hier op een zaterdag gegeten, waren hier al een keer eerder geweest. Blijft één feit dat het zeer rumoerige establishment is. Bij binnenkomst ons een tafel gewezen. Krijgen menukaart, en bestellen te drinken. Hadden in de tussentijd menu's uitgekozen. Waren hier nu met een groep van 5 personen. Altijd spannend hoe het voorgerecht en hoofdgerechten zouden worden uitgeserveerd. Als hé hoofdgerecht besteld zit daar friet en salade buffet bij. Dit moet je dan zelf samenstellen op een bordje. Wij waren er rond 19.00u. Rond 20.00u kregen we de hoofdgerechten uitgeserveerd. Hadden geen voorgerechten besteld. Zaak zat wel vol. Maar zolang wachten op je eten is ons inziens niet echt prettig. Schotels waren oké. Maar het gegrilde vlees was niet echt goed gekruid, zoals je wel mag verwachten van goed gekruid grieks vlees. Viel ons dus wel tegen. Voor ons een reden, om weer eens een andere grieks restaurant te gaan bezoeken.

Prices have now risen somewhat, but the quantity of Greek rice has halved. The salad is less than half, barely more than the bottom of the container. That prices rise over time is normal to a certain extent, but this is a textbook example of contraction inflation. Unacceptable for me, so next time I'll try a different restaurant.

Gyros dish: wilted fries, food was lukewarm, Gyros little taste, just a lot of salt, very little Greek pasta, dry and tasteless, very little Tsatziki with little taste (ordered and paid for) 3. No vegetables/salad with the main course and apparently there was a salad bar to which we were not informed 4. Service asked if we enjoyed it, after which we honestly stated that we thought it was very mediocre. However, the manager shrugged his shoulders... Definitely not recommended!

Picked up 2 dishes, the taste of the food is fine. However, the rice (kritharaki) was not included and the salad was really minimal. Salads are delivered in so-called hamburger containers, but the salad came less than an inch from the bottom. Too bad for that money

Op en zaterdag avond met zes personen hier gereserveerd. Tafel voor 6. Bij aankomst konden we uit 2 tafels kiezen. Name plaats in het midden van de zaak. Kregen de menukaart kaart. Grote kaart. Zowaar ook kinder, en senioren menu's. Kom niet vaak meer tegen bij restaurants. Alle 6 onze keuzes doorgegeven. In de tussentijd kregen we ook een Ouzo van de zaak en ons drinken. Ouzo van de zaak als altijd een mooi begin van een goede Griekse maaltijd. De hele zaak zat goed vol. Maar toch kregen wij onze bestelde gerechten mooi op tijd en ook tegelijkertijd. Goede planning in de keuken. De gereserveerde schotels smaakte heerlijk. En de salade kon je hier zelf vanuit de saladebar zelf samenstellen. Wij hebben hier met smaak gegeten.

NOOIT MEER ! anderhalf uur op ons eten moeten wachten,terwijl de tent niet eens voor de helft vol zat.personeel is bang ze wat moeten doen kennen amper nederlands,bij aangeven we niet blij waren zo lang te wachten en waar het eten bleef gaven ze geen gehoor aan.het vlees kon wel uit de ah komen en was ook schaars bordje eten.schandalig

Niet te eten. Inktvisringen hadden en soort rubberen band onder de panade. Gyros uit de supermarkt is beter. Heel klein gesneden. Mijn partner vond zijn schotel ook niet te eten. Vlees smaakte vreemd.

Τέλια !! Wij komen al jaren bij Byzantium, omdat het eten authentiek Grieks is (Griekse kok), de sfeer relaxed en de bediening vriendelijk! Voor alle leeftijden gezellig! Καλή όρεξη! Smakelijk! En geniet ... 👍

Spontaan gaan eten vandaag. De menukeuze was goed. Vriend en dochter hebben lekker gegeten. De warme voorgerechten mix was matig. Niemand kwam om te vragen of wij nog iets wilden drinken of dat alles naar wens was. De frieten waren voldoende, maar hard gebakken. Het brood was hard en oud, mijns inziens. Een aanrader voor de echte vleeseter, maar niet voor de kieskeurige eter.

Goed eten en nette bediening. Zeker een aanrader.

Het eten was goed en daar kom je voor. De bediening was matig bijv. bij de frites zal geen lepel/ vork om het op te scheppen, in het kommetje mayonaise zat geen lepeltje en er was bediening die geen Nederlands verstond. De sfeer kan ik kort en bondig zijn, slecht. Wij zaten met 6 personen op een u-bank zodat iedereen moest opstaan als er iemand naar toilet moest. Er werd gerookt op het terras.

Wij komen hier regelmatig, en het eten is altijd prima in orde, en de bediening altijd netjes. Aanrader is de Byzantiumschotel.

Heerlijk rustig en lekker kunnen eten!

Lange tijd niet meer geweest, schotel was karig, het voorgerecht was zuur, dit aangegeven bij het personeel werd verder niet op ingegaan en is ook gewoon in rekening gebracht. Jammer hier is erg ingeleverd op kwaliteit.

Zeer goed eten, vriendelijke bediening en goede prijs. Echte aanrader. Wij komen zeker terug.

Heerlijk gegeten, vlees allemaal goed gekruid. Hebben ook een saladebar waar je zelf kunt opscheppen. Bediening mag helaas beter, drankjes bestellen ging lastig.

Gezellig restaurant met goed eten. Maaltijd was meer als voldoende. Bediening zou klant alleen erop kunnen wijzen dat er een saladebuffet aanwezig is. Kwamen we achter nadat we het toilet bezocht hadden. Jammer

Haren in het eten aangetroffen. Daar werd door het slechte Nederlands sprekende personeel niets aan gedaan. Verderop ligt een betere Griek.

Gewoon lekker eten zoals het hoort

Slechte kwaliteit vlees , grote schotel besteld , zeer teleurstellend. Geen rijst erbij , wel besteld , plakje feta voor €5,50 was zo dun dat het broodbeleg kon zijn. Tzatziki saus net 1 lepeltje , erg karig dus. Voor dat geld en dan zulk slechte kwaliteit en karigheid geen trek meer om nog maals te gaan naar Byzantium.

ik was er met mijn vrouw en onze dochter mijn dochter kreeg haar voorgerecht en ik kreeg een voor gerecht wat ik niet besteld had daardoor kreeg ik mijn voorgerecht tien minuten later, bij het hoofdgerecht kregen mijn vrouw en mijn dochter hun gerecht en dat van mij kwam weer tien minuten later en was niet compleet.

Kan er heerlijke lamskarbonades eten.

Lively food, nice service and nice atmosphere. Food is delicious and homemade. We had the fish for 2 wich was amazing. Will surely go back.
