Always pleasant and great service

We walked the Amsterdam City Walk there and were ready for a cup of coffee at that point.

I gave some small feedback that I didn’t enjoy one of their beers, and even suggested I’d just try a different one, saying maybe it just wasn’t for me. Instead of simply accepting this, several staff members,including the owner, reacted in a rude, insecure, and aggressive way. It left a very negative impression, and I think people should be aware of how they treat customers.

Great pub, excellent atmosphere

Great bar in the neighborhood, couple guys behind the bar did a great job helping us. We ordered a couple N.A. Beers, always nice when they have a cold N.A. Guinness available. Walked by this bar several times and seems to have a nice crowd, I’ll be back in my next visit for a coffee or a beer.

Good vibes always, best bar staff in Amsterdam (and low staff rotation, always a good sign).

Unfortunately we found the service to be lacking. The staff was not friendly, at first we were rushed into ordering, asked for the server to come back in a bit. Ended up waiting quite a while. The server tried to make small talk, however we found what was said inappropriate. Overall, not a great experience

Ideal for a family stopover! Very friendly French waiter and a children's square in front of the restaurant! We had a great time as a family

Nice big patios on two sides of corner. Morning as afternoon sun and/or shadow. Common public, young and older. Next to little park whith children's play equipment.

I'm still waiting for my coffee...for your information, I was there at 2:30 in the afternoon and posted my review in the evening, which happens more often I think... The employee came at 1415 and took the order, but after 10 minutes no coffee even though the terrace was not busy.

You have to look out what you pay. 2 flat white and one glas of sparkling water 15.50 euros. Crazy

As a “local” I often and with great pleasure come to this neighborhood café that feels like a second home. Lots of tasty beers, good wine, delicious white mulled wine and a tasty small food menu. But most importantly: the warm owners and the very best, attentive, knowledgeable and sweetest service you could wish for! Whether you want to sit and read a book, chat with friends, take a fun pub quiz or just relax: this is your pub!

Great lovely bar for a drink on weekend. As tourists (a couple) we wanted to find a place to drink away from Centraal. We were recommended this place! Busy with locals!

Lots of beer variety at a good price, they also have a food menu, I ordered vegetarian bitter bowls, very delicious. The cafeteria is dark but they have a large heated terrace.

I work here. Very nice workplace. Nice to meet the neighborhood. Nice colleagues. Cat in the cafe. Conviviality.

You can enjoy a bite to eat here after work. We were lucky and were able to sit outside.

Cafe Bax is like my local now. They do nice food and the staff are super nice and professional. Jasper and Clodagh, the owners, always strive to create the best experience for the customer and always succeed.

Vriendelijk personeel, breed assortiment aan lekkere biertjes. Barfood is dikke prima ! Oh en Bart ( bediening) is echt een aardige kerel.

Fijne plek voor de buurt. Groot terras. Leuke mensen. Veel bieren op tap.

Een gezellig druk café met een groot terras op straat en een overdekt buiten terras we hebben niets gegeten. Het personeel is niet onvriendelijk maar daar is alles mee gezegd.

Week 1: heel langzame bediening op terras. Week 2: herkansing, weer heel langzaam, naar binnen gegaan om te bestellen en de jongedame aan de bar heeft me uitgelegd dat ze soms bezig zijn etc etc. Week 3: ik ga ergens anders heen....en dat raad ik de lezer van dit bericht ook aan.

In Kinkerstraat en/of Ten Kate straat winkelen of een film in de Filmhallen zien. En vooraf lunchen of daarna. Dat kan bij Café Bax vanaf 12.00. Geen speciale formule, geen groot verhaal, niet exotisch. Maar wel gewoon goed. Kies je voor gewoon dan ga je bij Café Bax voor goed.

Prachtige zaak, goede en vriendelijke bediening! Ongelooflijk bierassortiment, vele merken van de tap. Heerlijke tosti gegeten. Geweldig mooi verwarmd terras, wij komen heel snel weer terug.

Best bar ever! All thanks to this amazing waitress called Margaux!!

Such a good surprise ! The glasses here are not broken I can drink chilling with those fairy lights and those tables made of pure wood that remains me of an old forgotten time! And the plus of all is the blue eyes so the waitress Margaux is the cherry on top of the cake that makes me feel lost in the middle of the ocean !!! Thanks

Excellent bear selection, delicious food and fabulous French waitress!

Restaurant zonder spatjes, heerlijke ‘broodjes’, salades, uitsmijters en eindeloos veel water, top bediening, buitengewoon aardig. Ruim terras vlakbij de Ten Katemarkt. Aanrader.

Not one of the white tooty fruity, gotta be an Amsterdamer to be an Amsterdamer kind of bars. Nice beer selection and best nachos in Amsterdam. Or close to it.

A great place for craft beer and a warm snack

Great friendly place, usualy a bit busy, they serve excelent potato fries with mayonaise, and good coffee. i hope to visit again in the future! (they also have a number of beers on their menu)

Bericht aan alle cheesecake liefhebbers!! Bezoek dit gezellige eetcafé. Hier serveren ze misschien wel de lekkerste cheesecakes die ik ooit geproefd heb. Huisgemaakt, precies de goede smaak: friszuur, en gedecoreerd met een fruitige aardbeicoulis. Ook de koffie was heerlijk. De volgende keer gaan we jullie speciaalbieren proberen!! Tot snel 😀
