Really nice bar with good beers 🍺 and kind people. You’re welcome and can easy connect with other people in front of the door. Staying outside and drinking beer is the real experience 😊. Was a pleasure being there!

Cosy very little bar (three-ish tables) but the atmosphere is excellent, just do not expect place to sit in during friday and saturday night, everyone is in the street in front!

I left a review a month ago, but it somehow disappeared, so I had to post it again. My experience at this bar was extremely negative. The gloomy 1970s-style atmosphere combined with the bartender’s passivity made for the worst possible combination. They claim to offer a wide variety of Belgian beers — there is beer, yes, but calling it a “variety” would be an exaggeration. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to sit with friends, this bar is not for you. Inside there are only two tables and a bar counter, so even a small group of 3–4 people won’t be able to sit comfortably on a cold autumn evening. Not recommend

A super fun pub in the center of Amsterdam. A wide selection of beers on tap and in bottles. The cheese board (from a local cheesemonger) was also very good, paired with a tasty cured sausage. A friendly woman behind the bar made our day. Very hospitable and humorous. A great afternoon.

Great beer selection Belgiums galore! My favorite beer triple karmeliet was available. Bartender was cool loved her Britney Spears shirt. Good people watching outside too.

nice selection of Belgian beers (fr beers that felt like we were back in Belgium). Don't be afraid to spend a little more to taste Belgian beers because they are worrh the price. Nice general atmosphere and the staff is really nice (the lady went outside to tell us that we could turn on the heating light). I would really recommend even though the beers are a bit expensive.

Definitely worth repeating, the atmosphere, the food and the service there are great!! I'm normally a difficult person when it comes to choosing tents, but I'm sticking with this one. Definitely come back this weekend, but with about 8 of us and what I'll bring with me🤣😍

(Jan 2007) Did someone mention small? Very well located, perhaps only 150m from Dam Square. 8 taps inc t’Ij V’lo and ~30 bottles. Most of the Belgian big guns ex. Westy. Good range of ’toasties’ and around e2.50, cheese e4.00 and spicy sausage e2.50. Very good bar, plenty of character but not in the class of Wildeman and Arendnest.

Unpolite people depending on the night that you visit. After corona they became different and not worthy to visit anymore. Less tolerant and Important to what amsterdam has to offer.

Sweet little cafe with outdoor benches. Such a nice place to relax right off the Main Street. Prices about 6-8€ per drink. Cold beer and clean glasses -highly recommend!

Excellent small traditional Dutch brown cafe. Serves a variety of Belgian beers. Cosy setting in a side street of the busy centre of Amsterdam. Outside sitting. Very friendly bar staff. Toilet is up a steep stairway so difficult for the disabled.

La Chouffe at Café Belgique It’s been almost exactly twenty years since I had my first La Chouffe. Right here at Café Belgique. Still an amazing place for Chouffe or ”Ouf, in Café Belgique drinken we Chouffe!” Pretty sure I had my first Kwak on the same journey to Amsterdam, so here’s to that as well. A beer knurd destination on its own. Not the latest hazies, and not the greatest lambics, but loads of trad Belgian beer and history in the walls. Loving it.

Cute bar with London vibes, good music and decent drinks, homey, cosy in a small narrow street close to everything yet far enough from the shopping crowds around the corner.

Small dark bar in an alley near the Nieuwe Kerk. Outstanding beer selection. Very high turnover on the beer so it's always fresh. Definitely worth a visit just to see where it is and also taste the Kwak beer

A fabulous bar and a great atmosphere

A hiddem gem located in the heart of the centre of Amsterdam. Café Belgique is a cosy, artsy bar with a great menu with special beers and drinks, friendly staff and very nice music.

Can't really understand why I haven't rated this place 5 stars before... Maybe because I want this hidden gem to stay "hidden". People behind the counter are 20/10.

Very cute centrally located bar, with a good selection of drinks and beers on draft. This place is super casual and very small, but is a great place to enjoy a cozy drink. They also have covered and heated seats outside in front which is a nice bonus. Service is prompt and friendly. 5/5 would come again any day.

A fun little hole in the wall on a rather touristy street. An impressive list of beers on draft and poured the classic way. Staff are some friendly characters. Clearly some history in here. Worth the stop, would recommend.

Overpriced. 8 euro gemiddeld voor een biertje a la kwak of een ipa? Personeel spreekt geen nederlands dus tot zover the dutch old bar vibe. Samengevat, leuke plek, heeft potentie, maar t is een cash cow.

Great small bar with many different artworks going on. Every wall tells a different story. Excellent beers, spirits on offer but you'll need a few visits to have a good appreciation of the variation on offer.
