Cafe Brandpunt in Binnenstad

The staff was definitely prejudiced against other nationalities (foreigners), at least one of them. They paid zero attention to customers. They forgot about the gnocchi, for which we had been waiting for over an hour. Despite asking for the staff to come over, the waiter waved his hand and avoided eye contact. The gnocchi were hard, tasted undercooked, and were dripping with grease.

Beer tastes like a kind of nasty milkshake

I was at that place with a couple of friends, we ordered four mojitos and it was truly awful, it tasted like juice. Tangerine acid in ice water didn't have the characteristic sweetness of a mojito, it was just too ordinary, it was terrible

Had a good meal, the price is good (especially when compared to other restaurants in the area) and the staff was super friendly. I had the veggie cheeseburger, which was very tasty, although I would have preferred it to be a bit spicier. Received good service despite the crowds on the terrace!

Aperol Spritz for €9, but after the ice, there was barely anything left Visited here on 16-04-2026. The cappuccino tasted fine, but was already too cold when it arrived at the table. The real disappointment was the €9 Aperol Spritz. It was served in a standard white wine glass, even though Brandpunt has proper Aperol Spritz glasses. At that moment, only one person on the terrace had an Aperol Spritz, so that wasn't the issue. The biggest problem: after removing the ice, only about half a glass remained. For €9, that is simply far too little. The photos actually speak for themselves. The hollow ice dilutes the drink quickly. What made it even worse was that the waitress herself seemed to see that something was actually wrong, but did absolutely nothing about it. Conclusion: cappuccino fine, Aperol Spritz far too meager. For €9, you really expect better.

Had an amazing experience here thanks to Max, one the workers at the bar. Such a nice service and was excellent at his job. Big difference maker!

Ordered spareribs; they were dry and tasteless. The service was fine at first. However, at 7:45 PM, we were asked to leave the restaurant because a pub quiz was taking place. Coffee or dessert was no longer an option. We were allowed to sit outside on the terrace in the cold. So ridiculous. They should have indicated this before we sat down to eat; then we certainly would have gone to eat somewhere else.

The food was delicious. Of course, my friend's order was better than mine, but we shared it. The staff is very helpful in making adjustments. The staff is friendly. After spilling my drink, I got a new one for free. I realized too late that I hadn't left a tip; I didn't get the bill until after I paid, otherwise I would definitely have left extra. Where else can you get a two-course meal with drinks for €30 per person these days? Well, here!

They have really nice cocktails and everyone is always polite, it's just a nice place to have drinks with your friends.

Coats get stolen if you give them to the staff. A very unpleasant experience, not to be trusted. I wouldn't drink coffee or beer anymore, and there are ants in the beer.

A great cafe for all ages. Lovely terrace and smooth service. It was remarkable that everyone was seated on the terrace.

The reason why I gave 5 star is entirely because of the waiter, who was very friendly and full of smiles on his face, which really infected me. It's joyful to have such a warm service on a cold day.

A nice menu with something for everyone. Unfortunately, it wasn't busy on Monday evening. Good food for a good price. Good, friendly service. The staff knows how to place the bottle next to the glass (not many restaurant staff do this). The atmosphere is the same as 30 years ago.

We tried their white and red wines, and like them both. The prices are fair if you consider the more expensive bars or cafes in that neighborhood. In a sunny day, their outdoor tables are very appealing!

Top! Ze hadden voor mij een glutenvrije optie, wat heel fijn was. Mijn partner en ik hadden allebei een burger besteld en ze hadden glutenvrij brood voor mij en hebben de friet apart gebakken (ivm mijn gluten intolerantie) dus ik kon het hele gerecht inclusief de mayo. Was heerlijk! Hele smaakvolle burger. De bediening was vriendelijk, snel en ze waren behulpzaam. Ons eten was er snel. Er werd in de gaten gehouden of we alweer toe waren aan ons volgende drankje. Er werd tussendoor gevraagd of het eten smaakte (ver voor het eten op was, zoals het hoort). Goede funky muziek. Prima gezeten. Kortom: zeker weten een aanrader! :D

Geweldige avond gehad bij Cafe Brandpunt! We hebben allemaal onwijs lekker gegeten en de bediening was heel erg vriendelijk en gezellig. Alleen maar pluspunten!

Were not allowed in during carnival because my friend gave me his orange/green scarf and, according to security, this did not meet the carnival guidelines.

Enjoy a drink on the terrace with patio heating. Because it was so nice, we decided to have dinner here too. Choice of a three course dinner. And that's where it went wrong. After the starter it turned out that the service had forgotten to send the main course to the kitchen. After a long wait we got the main course which was not warm. Good service that we received completely new (hot) dish and free drink. Because we went to 013, we asked if the dessert could be a little faster, but we also had to wait a long time for that. The dessert, which included two stewed pears, was considerably less than described on the menu. Three courses took us three hours, so we missed part of the party in 013. Shame! On Saturday evenings the terrace is too large to serve the public who want to dine here.

Nice place to have a drink while shopping. Delicious toasted sandwich, with a super tasty sauce. Smooth service and friendly staff. Small downside: too bad the cappucino was cold. Extra nice: the brown vitamins on the menu... funny

Middagje gezeten met een vriend en gezellig een drankje gedaan. Als je mensen wil kijken dan ben je hier aan het goede adres. De stoelen staan zo naar de straat gericht dat je heerlijk mensen kan kijken. Het was er druk, maar je merkte er weinig van want het personeel was erg attent en checkte vaak of alles naar wens was. De drankjes waren prima, de prijzen ook. Gewoon echt een gezellig druk terras.

Super cozy pub and food is good!

Stopped for a drink during an afternoon of shopping. Waited more than 15' for them to come and take the order. Stood at a table the whole time chatting pleasantly. Finally got our drink after a long wait. I think 3.50 euros for a 20cl (soft) drink is really expensive!

Nice place for lunch, drinks or going out

Went to the terrace on a Saturday. After 20 minutes we were finally helped, and then had to wait another 20 minutes for our drinks. The same boy came by again because it was so busy on his own that he no longer knew whether he had been with us.

Received the ordered coffee after 15 minutes. A coffee was in a broken glass, so we got a new one and it was cold. Had to wait 25 minutes for sugar and a spoon. The lunch we ordered did not arrive after 1 hour of waiting. We left hungry. As compensation we did not have to pay for the coffee.

We sat comfortably on the terrace under the heater. Tasty specialty beers, very good nachos and very friendly staff!

A couple of days ago I visited a friend over in Tilburg, we ended up having a drink here. The service was nice but a bit slow to my liking. They messed up our order twice, i usually don't mind. but that it happened on two consecutive occasions was a little disappointing to me. We only had a Borrel, but i wasn't convinced. I don't think i would be returning for a bite to eat. for a beer it is perfect (not the biggest selection).

We waited about 45 minutes for the spare ribs. Not sure what the reason was, until we received it, is was completely burned. As black as it can be. The waiter still tried to do his best though. But this cook should be fired. Also the steak was ordered medium-well, but it was medium-raw. First time i was here and the last time.

Gelegen aan het Puisplein. Een plein met alleen maar terrassen en cafés. Wij hebben op het terras gezeten. Bij Brandpunt zijn de stoelen zo gezet dat je lekker mensen kan kijken. Het personeel is erg goed. Ze zijn heel attent en checken vaak of alles in orde is. De kaart is prima, met veel keuze en de prijzen zijn normaal. Het eten zelf was prima. Redelijk snel op tafel en de kwaliteit goed. Di terras is zeker een bezoekje waard.

We hadden het 12 uurtje of zoals ze het hier noemen “de BP lunchdeal”… lekker maar niet heel erg warm maar dat is eigenlijk altijd overal met 12 uurtjes… Bediening erg vriendelijk. Het kleed op de tafel was niet erg fris, vol met kruimels en kaarsvet, die is wel aan vervanging toe. De toilet schoon maar de vloer en wastafel in het voorportaal heeft duidelijk een schoonmaakbeurt nodig. Maar misschien kwam dat omdat het kermis was…

2023: oei lauw bier vd tap als het 30 graden is buiten en € 7,60 voor een halve liter erdinger is echt niet ok. Vat bleek net aan de tab te hangen. 2022: Geweldig geregeld. Kindvriendelijk restaurant waar je tot 10 jaar zelfs gratis mee eet. Top personeel.

Vieze aanslag op bier en wijnglazen. De wijn is ver onder de maat en dat voor de prijs boven de € 5,- .op het terras kapotte en Vieze zittingen. Ons niet meer gezien.

Leuk personeel ;)! De nachten zijn hier altijd gezellig, altijd vrolijke mensen bij het radje. Leuke en pittige pubquiz op maandag!!!

Made a group reservation far ahead, even noted everyones orders beforehand yet they still managed to not have proper space. Waited an hour on the starter then longer till we got the main course, by the time we should get the desserts the disco music and smoke machines were already on so we left without even getting those.. For a planned visit this wasn't the best experience.. Food was good though, starter and main dish that is.

Leuke kroeg/restaurant met vriendelijke personeel. Eten was subliem en heel mooi opgemaakt (zie foto's) 🙏

Hier een privé feestje gehad. Bediening is top en er werd goed gezorgd voor een natje 😊. Ze komen regelmatig langs om te vragen of er nog wat nodig is. Tijdens het privé feestje was het café gewoon in 'gebruik' . Terras zat vol en binnen zaten ook gewoon random mensen. Café Brandpunt ligt aan het Piusplein waar de meeste kroegen langs liggen. Parkeren (tegen betaling) kan in Parkeergarage Emmapassage.

Servicetijd goed, binnen 5 minuten vriendelijk geholpen. Een aanrader is de tosti Thomas! Heerlijke bite, goede vulling en juiste portie als lunch. Deze staat al meer dan 18 jaar (terecht) op de lunchkaart.

Je zit er heerlijk,goei eten en vriendelijk personeel,dan is het goed toch?!

Prima terras! Crispy chicken pita was heerlijk en goed bier aanbod.

Gezellig bruin café aan het piusplein

Carpaccio voor gerecht gehad, was simpel, zat geen sla onder de carpaccio, jammer geeft toch die extra bite

Gezellig cafe. Er is een spelletjes kast voor als je daar zin in hebt, super leuk initiatief. Genoeg te kiezen, veel biertjes. Snelle en goede service. Diner kaart is wat aan de schrale kant, maar prima voor gewoon een hapje buiten de deur.

Aan een gezellig plein... maar dat is niet zo moeilijk in Tilburg, daar zijn er meer van! De gezelligheid kwam vooral van de eerste jaars die in grote getale door de binnenstad zwierven. Brandpunt is op zich gezellig maar op een dergelijk plein kijk je vooral naar waar er plek is om te zitten. Ze hadden COVID-19 maatregelen goed opgelost, QR-code op de tafel brengt je naar hun website, je vult je gegevens in en kan direct de menukaart bekijken. Eten was prima.
