incredibly expensive drinks (€10 for half a litre) & extremely unfriendly and sexist staff!

Great place to have an adult beverage, watch sports, all with 1970s Eurovision song contest soundtrack and a disco ball! Surreal.... Great fun and highly recommended.

I went on the 23rd of December to have a drink with my family, kids included, after visiting the Christmas market. When I entered I was received with the phrase “go somewhere else you are a thief”, because I had the cups from the christmas market. After that I could not believe I was being called a thief without even questioning why I had the cups. the true is I payed for the cups I was holding (they were empty). terrible service and terrible truly terrible person the one that was in charge. Calling me a thief in front of the whole bar and my family. I do not recommend going there, if you have this values you do not deserve your business to success. I really hope you get the consequences of being an awful person.

Nice bar, but it doesn’t have many draft beer options, and the bartender isn’t particularly friendly or helpful.

It's just that I have to give at least one star otherwise they wouldn't get one.

We happened upon this bar in the heart of Amsterdam by chance. It's pleasant, with good music and a great atmosphere. But we must highlight the friendliness of the staff. From the moment they realized we were Spanish, they played songs in Spanish, clearly referencing us and doing their part to make us feel comfortable and at home. They did the same every day we went for a drink. Thank you!

I wouldn't give it a star if that were possible. The bartender looked at me three times and ignored me. I couldn't place my order. He just walked away. A customer next to me threw ice cubes into his Coke with his fingers, just disgusting. I just walked out. They don't need it.

Grumbly old bartender told us to *expletive* off after not ordering drinks within 0.005 seconds of entering and daring to use card

The old bartender was grumbly and unfriendly about daring to pay by card and we decided to leave after the 1st drink due to the bad atmosphere, when he swore at us as we left. Terrible service, go literally anywhere else

Nice atmosphere and draft beer for 4 euros. Relatively inexpensive for Amsterdam. Bar operation. Not a restaurant.

I first discovered this wonderful bar back in 1972. For the next thirty years it was my go too watering hole when in Amsterdam, which was often. My sister actually lived in the north of the city. I remember the days when Jappi and Hans ran the place. Some fantastic nights there drinking with people from many different lands And then there was James a giant of a man behind the bar. Unfortunately it has been twenty years since I visited that beautiful city. I no longer travel abroad because of age and health issues. But this bar remains my favourite of all the bars I have visited from San Francisco to New York, from Paris to Istanbul, from Stockholm to Athens. Long may it remain. 🍺😀

Average pub, Self service, pre-prepared Coctails. Fast service and Has toilet. Just it. Barmen and guys are really sad face and angry to all people. Dirty tables.

It’s a nice cozy bar with a good variety of drinks, but there were a couple of issues. The gin was served in a glass that had a weird smell, like it hadn’t been washed properly or wiped with a dirty cloth. Also, the indoor seating is really compact and uncomfortable, with wobbly stools that made it hard to relax. It has potential, but these things definitely need attention.

Enough space at this cafe. You can watch football there and it has a special interior that makes it quirky and fun. Ruin range of drinks only no hot drinks available. Beautiful bar. Greetings, Architecture Wall

The host was very hospitable to football/guest fans!

When I first entered the place, they said 5eur for the beer and then they said 8eur, I said it wrong. Don't go. Their services are not good for tourists

Nice little bar on edge of red light district. Busy place. Feels like a proper pub.The barmen we had were good but they just charge what they want. Of the four time's we ordered it was 3 different prices 🙈 A lot of different nationalitys.

I don’t understand the bad reviews because the music here was banginnn, and the bartender that served us was so nice. if you like hip-hop, go grab a couple drinks here.

Amazing old crazy stuff... Old is good, nice place to drink beer and after that to visit some ladies nearby...

Tables weren't cleaned properly. All but one of us got a drink and the owner rudely insisted that this person get a drink or wait outside. Not customer friendly, you'll be better off elsewhere

Me and my mates went in and all but one of us got pints. He kicked out the guy who didn’t order and he wasn’t even busy. Twat

Such a shame for this pub as it is located in a very prominent location in the Red Light District but a member of staff who clearly needs to work on himself is utterly rude and aggressive with paying customers. Regrettably, not visiting ever again.

Very unfriendly, we are 4 adults who wanted to drink a beer and a 9 year old child with fries. Because of the fries, we were rudely sent away from a table outside that was completely empty in a very unfriendly manner. The shop owner could also have spoken to us in a friendly manner. We won't go here again, not even without a child.

We were traveling for 3 days and we spent the nights there to relax with some good beers.... And a very good atmosphere..... Good music... Sports.... And very good service!!!!!

A cosy cafe located at the corner of one of streets of red light district in amsterdam. Good drinks available which you can enjoy inside or on one of the tables outside by the canal. No food is served here.

This is a nice little bar in Central Amsterdam. Friendly, the locals will chat to you and the bar staff are always friendly. The music was great.

Drinks at €12.50, beers at €8.50. Good atmosphere, everything was going well until we saw how they “washed” the glasses. 🤮🤮🤮 a splash of water with the pressurized water from the beer bar and that's it.

Cherchant à échapper à l'orage en fin d'après-midi, je cherchais un endroit sympa pour boire une bière. Je n'ai pas été déçu, le service était top avec une ambiance posée blues rock (fin d'après-midi en semaine). J'ai beaucoup aimé ce bar.

Haben dort zwei mal ein paar Drinks gehabt und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Jungs dort, haben Spass bei der Arbeit und der Laden ist modern und angenehm eingerichtet. Wir würden das Café Corso wieder besuchen.

Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s in the so called touristy area. Highly recommend you go and check it out yourself. You’ll end up meeting people from all over the world. The staff/owner are awesome people.

For me 5 Stars. Lovely music, peaceful environment, great vibes at the bar side, very interesting wiesbeer ( in a good way) feels like applecider ale. Anyways, we feel like heaven now, could be also the reason of the cake we have just ate👏🤣 Enjoy this place people, have a beer and get warm up, have a little chat and feel like everything is alright. Yes, because it is! It always is, just try finding the best reasons. Because you can, peace ✌️🌞🍀🧿
