Café Enjoy in Wijk 02 Noordwijkerhout

This afternoon (Ascension Day) we had such an incredibly unpleasant experience with a catering employee, who afterwards turned out not to be trustworthy. When the waitress brought our ordered drinks, things did not go well. A number of glasses fell from her tray onto the floor, causing me to get a quantity of beer all over my clothes, including long trousers, a jacket and shoes. Nothing else was done with this, it dried up in the sun anyway. I indicated that I would appreciate a small “compensation” for the inconvenience. After all, we still had to spend several hours in the car with our clothes smelling of beer. (We had spent a few days in Noordwijkerhout.) After this, the employee in question was called in, who presented us with the bill of € 10, to which I indicated that I did not agree with this for the reasons stated. Her reaction was that things just happen and she started to act more and more unfriendly. What do you want, to which I replied that I would appreciate taking a drink off the bill. She responded, "I will arrange with your husband to pay €5" and she held the ATM in front of him. He was therefore under the impression that he was debiting this amount. No debit voucher was offered and he assumed in good faith that it was correct. Until, to our great surprise, we saw on the account statement that an amount of € 10 had been debited! This behavior of the employee in question is really not acceptable and I hope that there will still be a positive response to the situation, because a catering establishment does not want to receive negative publicity in this way. A pub with good music (rock) and friendly people. A good selection of drinks, including a beer of the week. The staff is exceptionally great. It's easy to strike up a conversation with the patrons or play games together. We were there every night and will be back.
