Café Falstaff in Wijk 00 Centrum

The dishes are typical Dutch fare, not very varied for us Italians. But everything is good. The waiters are all very friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant.

Had a delicious lunch on Sunday morning. The atmosphere is peaceful and diverse. The staff is very friendly and relaxed.

The best café in the world. What magnificent service. Everything was perfect. A lively atmosphere. A warm, cozy atmosphere. We'd love to come back.

Staff were great, the bitterballen are so good here. The outside seating is around a circular bench thing so choose your seat wisely.

Nice café in the heart of maastricht. Our apéro was delicious and the drinks are fairly priced. 8.50€ for an Aperol Spritz. The staff is attentive and friendly and we felt welcomed. Will definitely return.

Excellent service, fast but not pushy

It's perfectly fine, but don't order cocktails! We ordered espresso martinis (for €11.50), and they came pre-made from a bottle/preparation: not espresso from a coffee machine. You have a 3kW coffee machine; use it. The espresso martinis were also undrinkable. Otherwise, it's a great place, and the service was excellent; just don't order an espresso martini.

Floris is fantastic! Thanks for the hospitality, man. The server was also very friendly and kept a close eye on everything. The spare ribs in chipotle marinade were also a plus.

The location was excellent!! We had apricot Vlaai with hot drinks. If you are visiting Maastricht, I highly recommend trying Vlaai.

Cozy and shady. The food was good. But it was a bit of a luxury burger, fries, and a small salad. I had pulled beef bisket with cheddar and sauce.

Yesterday evening we had a FANTASTIC evening at Café Falstaff on the terrace during the André Rieu concert. We all agreed that Café Falstaff gave us an unforgettable evening. What a great time! The food was delicious and the service is beyond words. The staff was extremely friendly and everything ran like clockwork. What a pleasure to experience! A special word of thanks to our hostess Charlotte. What a skilled hostess and how well she knows her job! She knew exactly how to find the right balance between service orientation, personal attention and professionalism. Chapeau! Café Falstaff: thank you for this wonderful evening!

De eigenaresse is er bij altijd en maakt het altijd een feest om er te komen. En anders zorgt het fijne personeel heel goed voor je.

Had a nice drink on this atmospheric outdoor terrace. The service was friendly, there were some small things that went wrong, but I think that was because it was very busy and a bit noisy, it was hard to hear each other. Inside it also looked nice, the toilets were neat and clean.

Great place with cool staff, sometimes extremely busy. Good choices of craft beers (draft) it’s not the best choices of wine but it’s ok. I didn’t try food but it looks tasty. It’s not cheap (little bit expensive like everywhere in Maastricht).

Toiletten vies, omdat geen pas geen pintje. Slechte muzieksmaak, geen gezelligheid. Toilet stinkt enorm, pipi op de vloer.

Onion soup is highly recommended, with cloves, very tasty! Friendly service, who regularly checks whether everything is as desired.

Bad service... The waitress mainly paid attention to the group of shouting students also sitting outside. Our additional order for appetizers never came through and nothing was done with the payment for the (idiotically expensive) drinks. The beer was tasty, the company was great, so on balance it was quite fun, but that was more despite than because of Falstaff. All in all, three drinks for just under thirty euros, and they were really not special drinks.

Had a nice lunch here with my sister last Saturday. We arrived around 12 noon and there was still plenty of room, but after that it filled up quickly. The menu offers many tasty options and the atmosphere and the employees are also very pleasant. I would definitely like to come back here again!

It saved our Sunday night in Maastricht, the kitchen closes late so it really helps! Far then that, it was some amazing finger foods. Honorable mentions to de Flatbreads and chicken! The waiter really knows about beers and helps with it! Great place

Gezellig cafeetje met leuk personeel, wat ook veel over de bieren weet te vertellen. Genoten van een heerlijke borrelplank! Er werd meerdere keren gevraagd of alles naar wens was, maar totaal niet opdringerig of te vaak. Top tentje!

We konden heerlijk op de bovenverdieping zitten. Hier was het relatief rustig. Zeker als je kijkt hoe druk het was in Maastricht. De Franse uiensoep was de lekkerste die ik in jaren gegeten heb. En ook de pulled pork was goed!

A very pleasant atmosphere with more than friendly servers. I had several beers there and they were great. However, the price is too high for the quantities given! The best value for money beer is the triple Karmelite!

Although it doesn’t present as a Craft Beer bar initially, (on my 3rd visit to Falstaff) they always have something exceptional on tap. If you like NEIPA you will always get a good beer

Stop for a drink with friends and just order some appetizers . It was a lovely evening. Nice place to be before going out for dinner or after a long day shopping. I recommend.

Dropped by for a few drinks last night but what a disappointment. We ordered 4 shots, one of which accidentally fell over. We politely asked for wipes and a replacement shot, but the waiter had to first consult with the employer whether this was allowed. Serious? Even for a well-run catering business, they could not offer a new shot without adding it to the bill. Very sad. On top of that, when we got the bill, we saw afterwards that they had simply charged that dropped shot, along with all the other shots for a whopping €4 each! Even though they were mini shot glasses. I think something went wrong, but this is really not possible. Such an absurd amount for a mini shot? Really not recommended. To top it all off, the atmosphere was also lacking. It is a boring, atmosphereless place. Please don't waste your time sitting here. What a disappointment!

Very nice cafe in a central location in Maastrich. Very reasonable prices for the location. Paid €15.80 for a cappuchino, a latte and one Kaasbollen with mustard mayonaise (very tasty). Staff very friendly and attentive. When we're there again, we'll be happy to come back.

Geweldig Café waar je mooie biertjes van de tap kan proeven. Personeel is kundig en vriendelijk, zeer professioneel. Wij hebben op het plein heerlijk genoten van wat wit bier, Paulaner, La Trappe en zelfs een betty craft. Je moet houden van citrus maar best ok bier. Voor tussendoor een kaasplankje is een aanrader. Kortom goede sfeer, heel ontspannen omgeving met zeer goede service. We komen hier gauw terug.

The burger is highly recommended. 😃 The service is friendly. The seating is somewhat cramped and therefore there is a higher noise level.

Really nice cafe with friendly staff and delicious food. The only thing that was a downer for us is that we sat inside because we did not want to sit in the smoke smell on the terrace and one person started chain smoking right in front of the entrance. It's a shame that that is allowed.

Sunday July 7 evening Rieu at Falstaff

One of the waitresses was so rude, looking at your with her nose without wanting to say more words with you. They let their waitress friend group sit but not let customer sit. The owner should check if they have paid. Maybe they think mostly tourists go to their palaces so they do not care. Very disappointing.

Update 2024: yesterday we were guests again on the terrace of Falstaff. First a very tasty 3-course dinner, followed by Rieu's 3rd concert in a series of 12. This time there was also the EK24 NL-TU match and that tension and the ultimately good outcome contributed greatly to the atmosphere on the square. Rieu was extra special for us this time because Mandy and Henk played with the 400 participants in the unique largest fanfare in the Netherlands. Thank you to Door and her team for the excellent service and nice atmosphere during this evening. Definitely see you next year. 2018: Very cozy brown café with excellent cuisine. Also a good place to enjoy a 3-course dinner on the terrace followed by one of André Rieu's concerts.
