Quality and quantity for food, staff & ambience at a top location!!

Highly recommended. A lovely place to linger, right in the heart of Maastricht. The staff is friendly and helpful. The two of us shared the large appetizer platter and were full and happy. We'd gladly come back again.

Great location, friendly people

Lovely little spot on a small square in the middle of the city. It is much quieter here than on the Vrijthof, so if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while, this is definitely recommended! Friendly and quick staff and delicious dishes to share.

Great cafe near the Vrijthof, nice beer menu, updated on Untapped. Professional and young staff, efficient and friendly. We had a sharing platter twice, which was excellent; for that price, you can't get that in the Randstad anymore. The terrace was full, but there is a good place to sit; my girlfriend has a knee replacement and was able to rest her leg very comfortably on the ledge in front of the terrace.

We were allowed to charge our phones. And the waiter walked around the terrace just actively enough (so not pushy) to ask if people might want another drink. Attending to your guests, that’s how it should be.

Dear Café Falstaff, Please update your opening hours on Google! We arrived at 1:30 to enjoy a drink or two with our staff-shortage team, but nothing was being served anymore. We came to your Café specifically for your friendly atmosphere and delicious drinks. We searched on Google for a place that was still open until [time] and saw that you would remain open until 2:00. Great option, we thought. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

We wanted to grab a bite to eat before our visit to André Rieu's restaurant. But they only offered a three-course set menu for 80 euros. A shame, we wouldn't have stayed forever. And they could have phrased it a bit more politely.

Unprofessional service and poor communication. We ordered one dish but received something completely different. When we pointed this out, the waitress behind the bar pulled a clearly dissatisfied face and did nothing to resolve the problem. That left us with a very unpleasant feeling. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment.

The dishes and presentation are top-notch. The service is brilliant – the young staff are smiling, friendly, and simply professional. A must-visit during your stay in Maastricht, and if you happen to catch an Andre Rieu concert, an unforgettable experience is guaranteed.

A wonderful experience at Poco Più! The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. You can tell that attention is paid to quality and service. Highly recommended; I would love to come back here again!

Great place to sit outside and enjoy your food/drinks. Seems to be a popular spot for college students in the evenings and weekends.

Nice venue on a small square in the city centre with an extensive beer menu. Add cocktails and some small bites - a perfect student location, open to 2:00 night.

Very good service, tasty food, beautifully presented. I only found €16 for a vitello tonnato sandwich a bit on the expensive side, but it was very delicious!

Lovely spot in Maastricht and, above all, customer-oriented. We sat on the outdoor terrace for a little while, and when ordering, we were informed that it was going to rain soon. So we went inside quickly. Great place!

I love this place! GET THE NACHOS they're FIREEEE. It's a really good place if you want to sit outside and get drinks and picky bits. There's this one server guy that is super friendly but idk his name, but he's a gem! Anyways, nachos. Get their nachos - SO GOOD.

It is located in a very nice spot in the center of Maastricht and has the advantage of having an excellent outdoor space when the weather permits. Inside, it has a very nice decoration and is suitable for both personal meetings and a break from work.

If I could give 20 stars, I definitely would have! Mathias, genuinely, what a guy, unbelievably out of this world. A truly top-notch place, definitely worth a visit!

The three of us ate here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Even though it was a busy Saturday lunchtime, the service was very attentive. All the staff were friendly. We were also very happy with our food. It was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. We'll definitely come back again when we're in Maastricht again soon.

Very nice café that is very good quality wise! The service was great and the prices are a bit lower than the average in Maastricht I would say. You also have to try the bitterballen mix! So delicious! The terrace is also very comfortable

Lovely cafe in the center of the city. I frequent here usually for a drink or two but this time we tried the food also. The house and Ceasar salads as well as the baked Camembert were delicious and fairly priced. I was a little disappointed with the lack of options for gluten free (I really wanted the Ceasar salad but the chicken is breaded) but I hope more options will be offered in the future. Lively atmosphere as always, a great and extensive drinks menu to suit any taste. I always go for the cider which I highly recommend. A casual but smart location and perfect to grab lunch with colleagues or friends. Thank you for always being a good time!

The place is so beautiful but there were several problems about the place. First of all toilets were so bad no one can even enter the first hall of that place. Secondly and unfortunately there were a guy group behind us and we couldn't hear anything while chatting. We politely asked one of the waitress but nothing changed. And lastly as a recommendation, dips of nachos should be served as side dips, not on the top of nachos + These nachos need a bigger plate to be served.

We had a drink here with a snack platter. The platter was really tasty. It came with nachos, chicken wings, a bread roll, and bitterballen. The atmosphere on the terrace was super cozy and pleasant. The staff was friendly.

It's a real shame that this place isn't in Alkmaar because I'd love to pop in here a few times a month.

Today I had lunch at Falstaff. The atmosphere in the café is positive and cozy. The waitresses seemed cheerful and very friendly. Good staff immediately makes the experience much better. Besides coffee, I ordered an omelet. It was well-prepared, if a bit simple. The food and drinks were exactly what I expected and hoped for from a café-restaurant: simple, good, and well-priced (about €18.00 per person). All in all, I would definitely recommend Falstaff.

The dishes are typical Dutch fare, not very varied for us Italians. But everything is good. The waiters are all very friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant.

Nice café in the heart of maastricht. Our apéro was delicious and the drinks are fairly priced. 8.50€ for an Aperol Spritz. The staff is attentive and friendly and we felt welcomed. Will definitely return.

Excellent service, fast but not pushy

The food is excellent here. The prices are high, but reasonable for the portion size. Beware, the portions are large!

It's perfectly fine, but don't order cocktails! We ordered espresso martinis (for €11.50), and they came pre-made from a bottle/preparation: not espresso from a coffee machine. You have a 3kW coffee machine; use it. The espresso martinis were also undrinkable. Otherwise, it's a great place, and the service was excellent; just don't order an espresso martini.

Floris is fantastic! Thanks for the hospitality, man. The server was also very friendly and kept a close eye on everything. The spare ribs in chipotle marinade were also a plus.

The location was excellent!! We had apricot Vlaai with hot drinks. If you are visiting Maastricht, I highly recommend trying Vlaai.

Cozy and shady. The food was good. But it was a bit of a luxury burger, fries, and a small salad. I had pulled beef bisket with cheddar and sauce.

Yesterday evening we had a FANTASTIC evening at Café Falstaff on the terrace during the André Rieu concert. We all agreed that Café Falstaff gave us an unforgettable evening. What a great time! The food was delicious and the service is beyond words. The staff was extremely friendly and everything ran like clockwork. What a pleasure to experience! A special word of thanks to our hostess Charlotte. What a skilled hostess and how well she knows her job! She knew exactly how to find the right balance between service orientation, personal attention and professionalism. Chapeau! Café Falstaff: thank you for this wonderful evening!

Had a nice drink on this atmospheric outdoor terrace. The service was friendly, there were some small things that went wrong, but I think that was because it was very busy and a bit noisy, it was hard to hear each other. Inside it also looked nice, the toilets were neat and clean.

Great place with cool staff, sometimes extremely busy. Good choices of craft beers (draft) it’s not the best choices of wine but it’s ok. I didn’t try food but it looks tasty. It’s not cheap (little bit expensive like everywhere in Maastricht).

Toiletten vies, omdat geen pas geen pintje. Slechte muzieksmaak, geen gezelligheid. Toilet stinkt enorm, pipi op de vloer.

Onion soup is highly recommended, with cloves, very tasty! Friendly service, who regularly checks whether everything is as desired.

Bad service... The waitress mainly paid attention to the group of shouting students also sitting outside. Our additional order for appetizers never came through and nothing was done with the payment for the (idiotically expensive) drinks. The beer was tasty, the company was great, so on balance it was quite fun, but that was more despite than because of Falstaff. All in all, three drinks for just under thirty euros, and they were really not special drinks.

Super friendly and service-oriented staff, I felt like a VIP for a moment. 😉 I drank a delicious beer.
