We went to Fretz for dinner on our last afternoon; we happened to be passing by. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was excellent. The tomato soup was excellent and more than enough. Thanks, Fretz👍

The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is incredibly fast, despite the crowds and heat. After ordering, drinks were on the table within two minutes. The food was also served lightning fast. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The carpaccio sandwich is definitely recommended!

Visited here as we had the weekend to watch Andre Rieu in concert 19-22 July. This business is in a small square with numerous other restaurant / bars. They have a vast choice of drinks and all reasonably priced , as for food the menu is varied but sadly we did not dine here but will next time we visit. The way the place is managed is excellent we have traveled various countries but I would say the service provided is certainly one of the best we have experienced for this type of business. The staff were excellent friendly welcoming and great hospitality they have a large team all aged between 20 to 25 and is privately owned. The time we had with the staff was fantastic and made our weekend more memorable. Keep up the great work and will look forward to our next visit.

Took a drink and *since the kitchen was closed* I took a small portion of fries from the nearby seller. Once I got back with it (my drink wasn't finished yet) I was invited to leave since the food was not theirs. I get you have rules to follow, but there is also common sense...

Unfortunately I had a lesser evening in Maastricht. The gentlemen here made my evening completely good by a very jovial and hospitable reception. Thanks for the late coffees and when I am in Maastricht again I will definitely come here to eat!

Tuna salad was a plate of wet lettuce, tomatoes and some cucumber, topped with some ready-made tuna salad from the supermarket, bread with it was good, but for €17.50 you can expect a little more

I visited this restaurant with a colleague and ordered a glass of cava. When the waiter brought it to me, it was flat, with no bubbles. I tried it, but unfortunately, it was not good. The bartender then came to our table, and I changed my order to a glass of Prosecco. However, the Prosecco was also flat. I went to the bar to ask about the issue and why the Prosecco had no bubbles either. The bartender gave me a strange response, showing me a bottle of Lambrusco and insisting it was Prosecco and that nothing was wrong. As someone who knows the difference between cava, Prosecco, and Lambrusco, I found this very unprofessional. To make matters worse, I overheard the managers talking about me behind my back, claiming I didn’t know what I ordered. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable behavior in a restaurant. That said, the waiter was kind and professional, but I will not be returning to this place.

Nice place in a public square. Friendly staff and good food. Only item was that for the flammkuchen they put A LOT of lardons on. Bit too much for my taste but that’s personal.

Great and cozy terrace with a lot of choice on the menu. I had a nice brandy of beer from the draft, together with some fries from the house. My group had a Liefmans on the rocks, nice coffee and a Coke Zero. The bitterballen also tasted very good. The staff was also very friendly! Definitely recommended!

Excellent bitterballen. Terrace is crowded and you need to spot their chairs in between others belonging to different restaurants.

Sat in the opposite bar where the seating area is shared and one of the waitresses from Fretz just abused my daughter because her hair was resting on the fretz chair. How unnecessary.

Bad place for drinks. We ordered the vegetarian appetizer, which to our surprise was not vegetarian. We thought this was very bad and the staff did nothing about it. I definitely don't recommend this place!

If you think you would like to order a vegetarian appetizer, it still contains normal bitterballen. Shameless how they deal with this! Never come here again!

I love this place for snacks! Very gentle service. The spectacular cocktails and the finger-licking truffle and parmesan fries. What captivated us most was the beautiful story behind the name of the restaurant. In dedication to her husband who passed away, his wife continues his legacy❤️

Delicious refreshments and especially the rose is highly recommended. We have been coming here for years and especially for Fenna, who immediately knows what we like.

Our daughter introduced us to this bar-restaurant, and it's a pleasant discovery, the menu is beautiful, the prices are not execive, the dishes are good. Of course, English is essential to order well and be understood. The waitress was alone (winter period) not many people on the terrace, but very helpful. We recommend, we will return.

La serveuse/barman est adorable, très pro. En revanche le serveur ne nous a pas averti que les frites étaient en plus alors qu’on avais demandé : « les frites sont elles inclues ? » ce à quoi il avait répondu « oui ». Un peu dur de payer 5€ de plus que prévu on ne s’y attendais pas. À part ça la nourriture est excellente et les apéritifs très bonne qualité prix 👍🏼

Fretz heeft een gezellig terras op het Sint Amorsplein waar we van een lunch genoten hebben. Helaas kregen we de eerste glazen bier over ons heen door een struikel van een ober, maar absolute complimenten hoe dit is opgelost. Het bedienend team is op elkaar ingespeeld een erg vriendelijk. Het eten was prima van smaak en verzorgd. Een aanrader!

Midden in het centrum van oud Maastricht super gezellig heerlijke ambiance goede bediening vlakbij het Vrijthof

Prima eten en leuke sfeer, maar er werd onzorgvuldig met mijn allergie omgegaan. Voorafgaand aangegeven een bepaalde allergie te hebben en vervolgens zelf moeten constateren dat het ingrediënt toch in het gerecht zat. Verder, jammer dat de keuken al zo vroeg sloot (zelfs voor bittergarnituur).

Fretz is een leuke terrasje om van een drankje te genieten. Het personeel was vriendelijk. We hebben twee cocktails gehad, Whisky Sour met Amaretto en Dark & Stormy.

We actually had a problem here and at the end we didn't get what we ordered. The way the waiter told us about the misunderstanding and the way they managed it was very polite and just 5-star worthy! Worth a try!

Ein sehr nettes Esscafe/Restaurant direkt in der Innenstadt von Maastricht. Bei schönem Wetter kann man super draußen sitzen. Ich hatte eine Kleinigkeit von der Lunch Karte, Brot mit zwei unterschiedlichen Dips. Das hat gut geschmeckt. Die 7,50 € dafür sind ok und sicher auch der Lage geschuldet. Dafür war auch der weismain lecker und mit 5 bis 6 € je Glas dann wiederum durchaus günstig. Es gibt nur eine niederländische Karte aber das Personal spricht deutsch und ist sehr freundlich und hilft gerne 👍

Netter Laden mit gutem Personal. Das Essen ist gut, aber doch etwas überteuert. Man kann drinnen sitzen oder draußen unter einem schönen Baum. Die Getränkepreise sind ok. Alles in allem, ist es für einen Besuch zu empfehlen.

The ambience and location on a spring day was excellent. Had the Flammkuchen with paprika which was tasty, the beer was chilled which helped.

Ordered two beers and one plate with hummus & bread, which was ridiculously expensive for the portion we got. When we complained about the portion of bread that was to share between the people, the staff was absolutely unfriendly and unprofessional. Clearly not customer-oriented. We both have worked as waitresses before and were stunned at the way they dealt with the matter. Would not recommend, better not to try it out.

Alleen maar een kopje koffie besteld. Toen het kopje werd neergezet, kwam de damp er vanaf. Dus de koffie was veel te heet. Dat komt de smaak niet ten goede. Dat moet beter kunnen.
