Nice local, traditional bar with reasonably priced drinks and beers. The service is quickly and friendly.

Café Frape, I don't mind this Frape, to be honest. That's why I don't advise anyone to go here anymore, purely because they discriminate medically.

Hidden gem on the Meuse River. I walked by with a colleague and took a chance. A lovely little beer café with a huge selection of (specialty) beers at a very reasonable price. After a bit of a decision-making headache due to the extensive menu, the owner (?) recommended it. We had a nice chat and enjoyed the beer. Bonus points for the bartender who ran after us when I forgot my neck warmer. Highly recommended.

Nice little café, delicious food

Visited for the first time on 01.12.24. Friendly welcome in a cozy atmosphere. Classic little old cafe. A large selection of special beers. Well-maintained toilets. The cafe is located about 100 m on the left of the Servaas Bridge. Definitely worth repeating.

Today again with Annie and Jean at this attractive and cozy café. Secret tip: innkeeper Peter has a fantastic old gin under the cork.

Nice cafe. Great owners. Authentic and old but cozy. Been there a few times and he recognized the Belgians.

Was once a nice place, now they practice discrimination. A week before you have to prove that you are healthy, they had already put up a poster stating that you are not welcome if you are unvaccinated.

Cozy brown pub with local guests and friendly service

Visited here on Saturday 20/7/24 before André Rieu concert. Nice bar, we sat outside and had a couple of beers. The barman suggested a IPA which was particularly pleasant. Good value for the location. I can see why it's so recommended.

The place to go for beers in a relaxed atmosphere. Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, and can recommend beers according to your taste. We have travelled here many times and will definitely come back!

Very nice beer bar, with around 600 types of beer. Super nice waiter who has something to say about every beer and is happy to give advice in English if it's not too busy. Gladly again. Completely justified prices and not too crowded!

Why is this review not posted? We wanted to go here for a beer. But when I read the reviews and unvaccinated people were not welcome, we decided to skip this cafe!

We didn't eat, but we did have a nice glass of wine. Nice to be back and talk to old friends and acquaintances.

Cafés that do not put people first, but their own principles. Bad service.

Frape is a good place to discover new beers. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

"Unvaccinated people not welcome!" You should be ashamed of yourself if you dare to stick this up. Not hospitable at all so not recommended. Gawd!! 0 stars is more appropriate.

Atmosphere, poor service, lousy service and overpriced

American on a trip to The Netherlands and wanted to have a beer at a local, non-tourist bar. Shared stories of America with the regulars here and they shared stories of The Netherlands with me. Had a great time! Love these people and this city!!

Great location with an excellent beer selection. We left it to the staff today and enjoyed the appropriate regional Maastricht beer specialty. When the weather is nice outdoors... there is almost nothing better.

Prachtige kroeg. Laat je verrassen voor een heerlijk biertje. De moeite waard.

Gezellig authentiek café met een bierkenner als cafébaas.Je krijgt dan ook voldoende uitleg als je een biertje besteld uit een aanbod van misschien wel meer dan 100 verschillende bieren.

The special beers cafe in town. Small, but very cozy. Over here you will meet all kind of people ; authentic locals, international students, curious travellers, old, young... The beer menu is as various as the guests are. Tell your host your favourite flavour, the preferred color and the desired alcohol percentage. He / she will "dive into" their almost sacred basement and come up with just the beer you're in for.

The best craft beer cafe around! No matter your beer preference, the staff will navigate you around their enormous beer collection. Forget about the menu, just tell them what you like and they will take you on a journey. Definite 10/10!

Leuk huiskamer biercafé met heel veel verschillende bieren en betrokken personeel dat precies weet welk bier je lekker vindt. Je hoeft alleen maar te zeggen wat je lekker vindt en er komt een hele mooie verzameling uit de kelder! Hier moet je zeker naartoe!

Voor eten 0 sterren want we hebben alleen gedronken daar. Sfeer altijd goed en een grote keuze uit lekkere biertjes.

Archetype of Dutch & Belgian pub (gezellig). Superb beer selection. Melting pot of languages and cultures. Owner, bartender and locals treated me and my party like family. Definitely recommend to visit this place during less touristic days/hours to get the genuine experience.

Good selection of beers, including the house IPA, which is great. Staff is very nice and attentive. Bitterballen are tasty and served in a good portion.

There is definitely a traditional Café vibe in this place. A ton of beers to try, speciales, abbey's, trappistes and some nice crafts. The owner is very nice and the prices are also very affordable. A very nice place to stop by to quench a thirst, or two ☺️

Beste Biercafé van Maastricht. Zeer uitgebreide verzameling bier bestaande uit klassiekers, moderne bieren en noviteiten. Een absolute must voor de bierliefhebber!

Voor de echte bier liefhebber. De eigenaar is een ervaringsdeskundige, heeft liefde voor zijn vak. Geweldige 'huiskamer'. De sfeer ademt gemoedelijkheid en warmte uit. Ik neem het mezelf kwalijk dat ik dit café nu pas ontdekt heb.

Heel gezellige café dus een echt café, zowel binnen als buiten, met heel gezellig mensen die voor alles openstaan. Dus altijd oké. Een aan radertje. Doen.
