The best desserts in Maastricht. Incredible flavor combinations and top quality. Delicious coffee. Beautiful style. My favorite desserts are the basil-lime tart and the pecan tart. We've been to this café about 20 times already and we'll definitely keep coming back!

The cake and scones were excellent, and the coffee was also very well prepared. The small syrup with cream that came with it was a particularly wonderful surprise and truly delicious. The service was extremely friendly, which made the visit very pleasant. However, a few minor points did stand out to us: the €0.75 surcharge for oat milk seems a bit outdated these days, and the coffees were quite small. Furthermore, even though we were there at a less busy time, we had to wait a relatively long time for our order. Overall, though, it was a very pleasant visit, and the quality of the food was particularly impressive.

We had a lovely time. We absolutely enjoy our brunch there. The deco was beautiful. The service was fantastic. The servers was kind, helpful and super friendly. The food that we ordered was very good especially the avocado with bread. It was the best that we had so far. Definitely recommend this place.

Delicious iced coffee, and the pastries were also very tasty. All the food we saw served looked good. We sat outside, where it was nice and quiet. Inside, it looked cozy with an open kitchen. The staff was super friendly, came back several times to ask if everything was okay and to take our orders. We'll definitely be back!

Beautifully furnished place, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks and breakfast/lunch dishes. Probably make a reservation just to be sure; we came in on a Tuesday morning and just happened to be lucky they had a table for us. Great for a date or meeting up with friends.

We were with a large group and were seated separately upstairs in a room, there was some background music but it was very unsociable. The door makes a lot of noise. Also the orders did not go completely right, there was one drink too many and a sandwich was forgotten. There were options available for gluten and cow's milk protein allergy.

Today we had a high tea. High tea was fantastic, only we sat opposite the counter/cash register and we often had people almost touching our table. It was not very relaxing to eat with people walking in and out and ordering all the time. The table was close to the counter, was not fresh and hygienic when customers bent over and their backside touched our table.

The atmosphere was very nice. The cupcakes were delicious.

We ate the Toast with avocado, eggs and salmon here. Little flavor to smoked salmon and very little salmon. Not enough to completely cover your toast. The crust of the toast was inedible, it was like breaking your teeth, so hard. The girls' service was worth a 10 out of 10.

Not sure what kind of a place this is but they refuse service 30mins before closing (typing this at 17:26 and are already clearing the display items. So even when the server asks if it's for take away, we cannot even know what is on offer? Just bizzare.

Tasteful on the inside, but outside it lacks that little bit extra During an inspiration tour with a group of entrepreneurs, we visited the Piece of Cake lunchroom in Maastricht. We were allowed to choose something tasty and I went for a cake with caramel and chocolate — delicious in taste, although quite rich. The lunchroom itself is really beautiful on the inside. Beautifully decorated, nice atmosphere and a beautiful open kitchen where you can literally see the passion. Everything is correct here, down to the last detail. But outside... that's where it's just missing. Unfortunately, when you arrive via the terrace, you immediately look at containers with garbage. Too bad, because a simple door in front would greatly improve the appearance. The courtyard itself definitely has potential: you sit attractively between historic walls, a unique setting. But it felt unfinished. No decoration, empty tables, little atmosphere. If they pay as much attention outside as inside, this will really become a top location. For now the contrast is great, and that's a shame. Definitely worth a visit — especially for the inside and the sweets!

Avocado toast with egg (pic) was good. The cheesecake bit too sweet for my taste. Sitting was pleasant, even though we sat on the couch (the place is full on bfst time). The only complaint is that I asked for the coffee to come with the food, and it was served long before. Not a biggie.

Came here for the High Tea and it was fantastic. You get 3 drinks included and can choose between: tea, coffee, or cappuccino. And the food was delicious (especially the scones that are served with cream, strawberry jam, and I think a lemon curd jam).

This cafe is an absolute highlight of Maastricht! We had breakfast here as well as coffee and cake in the afternoon. You should definitely reserve a table here, word gets around about quality.. All baked goods were of very good quality. Everything looked great and tasted incredibly good too. The atmosphere is calming, a little oasis of good taste! We were traveling with our little son, and each time we were given a table that could easily fit a child's chair. The waitresses were extremely friendly! A personal highlight in Maastricht!

Beautiful - Instagram worthy place. Staff is fairly friendly. Food, just ok. Had high tea - hummus sandwich good, scones lacking - were lovely and warm but need a smidge of sugar on baked on top and dough a touch of salt - clotted cream portion was very stingy. Brownie - like all European brownies - fail, cheese cake good. Coffee cakes good. Mini cup cake thumbs down. Would be nice to have teas paired with the high tea/ recommendations. Overall nice experience.

Ordinary, didnt like the cheesecakes much

We made reservations at this restaurant twice in advance. The first time we were placed at a table that was not ready yet even though we were 5 minutes later. We got a table at the entrance which was super loud and obnoxious. Today we made another reservation and arrived just in time. They offered us a table again, at the entrance. We stated that we would prefer to sit at a different table since this was already the second time. Because there were other large reservations, they couldn't seat us in the room. The table we were offered was still not set. So we didn't stay. It is very unprofessional to accommodate reservations at the door even if it is only 2 people. There is a lot of noise from the cash register and coffee machine and 'walk-ins' who arrive with cakes just sit on top of your plate. After 2 bad experiences, I can only advise against this place if you don't want to have to share your table with random people.

Rejected rather abruptly upon entry because we had not reserved, even though at least 5 tables were free. It is neither commercial nor friendly. So I won't go anymore.

Had a delicious high tea. Staff helped surprise my girlfriend (candles on pastries). The food was delicious, seasoned with herbs and tasted fresh. You were allowed 3 teapots, but 1 was enough for us, you also get a carafe of water. The only feedback we have is that there could have been some atmospheric music. Super good value for money, we will definitely come back.

Hello I went to your cafe and I have a specific complain First when we came the lady on the cashier she was nice she said you can choose any table then we went to a table and it was free and there wasn’t any note on it We set for a 10 mins then another rude lady she came and said no to you should get of the table because it’s reserved and I said to her the lady in the cashier didn’t say anything about reservations or any thing and the guy who came for the table said it’s ok I will set any table but the rude lady said again you should get off then we went to another table We have been waiting for another 10 mins we called her and again th rude lady said I m coming in coming I’m coming in bad ways then she didn’t come I took all my things and I went out of the cafe First of all and every thing rudeness never acceptable from any one what about being rude with the customers ?! I will never recommend your cafe for any one

Nice for brunch or high tea with friends/family. Extensive range of pastries and a whole pot of tea to share that is constantly refilled. There is also a terrace to sit outside in the summer.

Had breakfast here based on the positive reviews. Upon entering there is a display case with delicious-looking pastries and further on in the shop there are places to have breakfast/lunch. Ordered 2 cappuccinos, scones with jam & clotted cream and a cheese spread. The cappuccino was not very special and the scones consisted of 2 pieces with a bowl of jam and clotted cream, just enough to coat both. The sandwich consisted of 2 slices of bread, 2 eggs and 3 slices of cheese. For the price you paid for it, it looked quite poor. Shame! A small salad or a bit of arugula or a cherry tomato could have just completed it. They will undoubtedly have delicious pastries and sweets here, but for a good lunch there is room for improvement.

Three weeks ago I made an online reservation for a high tea for 7 people. Received general confirmation back. Today upon arrival it turned out that she had not counted on a high tea and we were told that we should have understood this from the general email we received back. No apology or compensation. We could just choose from the menu was the short answer. Half an hour after our arrival, another group arrived who experienced the same thing. Please make this clear in the booking confirmation. For us, the food was tasty, but did not live up to expectations.

It is a great place for a high tea or a different experience compared to other cafes in Maastricht . It is located in the very centre of Maastricht next to the Markt. But other than the ambiance, the food they have is a different story. The sconces I ordered were very dry and it felt like eating plain flour. I also ordered a mango cheesecake, which is definitely a no go. They used artificial food flavoring it color in the cheesecake which made it taste like paracetamol and it was the driest cheese cake I ever had. I might go there for a coffee buy won't order any cakes or food at any cost

Stopped by for a piece of cake and a coffee for both of us, coffee was tasty, a cookie and a glass of whipped cream. We received cake many minutes later when the coffee was almost gone, unfortunately not much choice left. Carrot cake was tasty, mango curd was a bit too dry and firm in my opinion. But it was still enjoyable :-)

It's a cute and beautiful cake house in the center, no reservation is required, but I think you should make a reservation for breakfast on the weekend because it's a popular place. Tea parties are held, the garden terrace part is very enjoyable, but it opens at 12:00. There are options suitable for vegetarians at breakfast.

Very nice place! excellent cappuccino accompanied by a glass of water and extra whipped cream. What more could you want! And their carrotcake - a treat!
