What a cozy and nice place with lovely people who take the time for you and serve you delicious breakfast/lunch dishes. The homemade lemonades were deliciously ice cold! What's extra nice is that you can also do take-away. Which of course we did. Along the way we drank oat milk latte and ate a homemade birthday sprinkle cookie. A real dessert after a nice lunch! Thank you dear people of Johannes!

After a tour of Delft, I found a spot at Café Johannes in the courtyard. You can sit in the sun, but if it gets too hot, the friendly staff will immediately set up the parasol. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The cinnamon bun is recommended, deliciously sticky as it should be!! We would love to come back!!

Super cozy café in the center of Delft! Highly recommended for coffee and a pastry! The cheesecake was the best we have ever had! The carrot cake is also not normally tasty!

The food was so tasty and a big portion. The menu had many different items to choose from. The girls who work there are so friendly! They give you enough time to make a choice. The atmosphere in the cafe is so beautiful, cute and neat! Even the toilet is excellent in terms of hygiene and appearance. I'm completely happy.

went here yesterday for brunch. Lovely little eatery, I had a bread with avocado and tomato, delicious, but for the money I think it could be a little more, it was only 1 slice of bread, and I had a jasmine tea and chai latte for almost €20. so the portions could be a little bigger for what you get, otherwise it was tasty and the service was really top notch!

Een bezoekje aanbiedt geboortehuis van de wereldberoemde schilder Johannes Vermeer heeft een zoete nasmaak. In dit historische pand lachen de cakejes en gebakjes je tegemoet van zodra je binnenkomt. Via de gezellig ingerichte zaak liepen we naar achteraan om plaats te nemen op het leuke, kleine terras om aan de drukte van de binnenstad te ontkomen. Prima service en heel lekker gegeten. PS: de viervoeters zijn ook welkom.

We passed by this place and needed a coffee. We received a warm welcome, and the first thing we noticed were the amazing-looking cakes!! We started with a breakfast and a coffee. The food and service were amazing! To top it off, we had their delicious homemade cheesecake. They make all the cakes in-house, by the way. It's slightly challenging to locate, but it's a great place to start your day and/or savor delicious cakes!

We hebben ook in dit hotel geslapen (was super) dus de volgende dag was het een feestje om hier te mogen ontbijten! Het was superlekker, restaurant is leuk ingericht met oog voor detail. Leuke medewerkers, toptent voor ontbijt of lunch of een koffietje!

Echt heerlijk broodje gegeten! Mijn moeder had french toast, ook verrukkelijk! Bediening was super vriendelijk en het restaurant super knus en leuk ingericht. Mijn broodje kreeg ik niet helemaal op, maar meenemen was geen enkel probleem. Als ik in de buurt zou wonen, zou ik hier veel vaker terugkomen!

Cafe Johannes is a perfect place for lunch. Huge fan of the tostis - best in Delft I think - and have also enjoyed the french toast. Interesting selection of soft drinks including a Bacanha Lemonade Yuzu. Impossible not to order one of the cakes - the New York cheesecake and Red Velvet cake are both very rich but delicious. Coffee also great and staff are really nice. Quickly becoming a favourite!

Good but no more than another brunch. It is served exactly what is described on the menu, no small sides in the dishes. Nice little terrace outside.

Great little cafe - especially if you snag a table outside. Coffee is okay, I came for the cake but unfortunately the red velvet was just fine: fairly dry and sweet, I feel like it could’ve used a jam or some fruit for a fresh punch. However, I was absolutely blown away by their buttermilk pancakes - so good that I didn’t even get a picture! They were truly simple - just pancakes, butter and maple syrup - but so well executed. Will come back simply for those.

Quando sono a Delft non possiamo non tornarci per i dolci. Torta di mele difficilmente superabile. Cheesecake con cioccolato bianco per golosi hard. Altri dolci buonissimi. Locale di atmosfera. Their white chocolate cheesecake was amazing! Coffee was delicious as well. The vibe was really good when I was sitting behind the window on the rainy day while working on my laptop.

The Staff and the venue are really lovely don't get me wrong, but the cakes we had were WAYY too sweet! Even with a coffee on a side (which was OK).

Very cosy place. It has a nice atmosphere. It‘s somehow alternative, somehow vintage and somehow hipster. But all in a good way. The Cappuccino was from a Porta filter machine and tasted really good. I also had a mango cocos smoothie which also tasted delicious. We had breakfast there. I took the pancakes and my girlfriend took a greek yoghurt with home made granula. The service was very friendly. We really can recommend it. Check it out if you make a trip to Delft.

Gisteren samen met mijn familie genoten van een heerlijke taartproeverij voor mijn verjaardag. Omdat ik met een grote groep was konden wij gebruik maken van een privé ruimte achterin de winkel. Alles zag er super gezellig en verzorgd uit en de taartjes en koekjes waren allemaal heerlijk. De service was ook erg vriendelijk. Ik kan deze plek zeker aanraden!

We hebben een heer lekker lunch hier gegeten, alles was handgemaakt met verse ingrediënten. de klantservice was snel en personeelsleden vriendelijk. Zeker een positive ervaring!

Lekker dat de taarten van Piece of Cake hier nu ook te eten zijn! De allerlekkerste taarten die ik ooit op heb. Het is een gezellig café, misschien een beetje te donker in het midden maar dat zijn alle cafés in die straat eigenlijk wel. Zodra het mooi weer is ga ik de tuin uitproberen. Dankjewel!

Please do not skip Café Johannes if you are in Delft. It is a pleasant, adorable coffee shop. Great atmosphere. I like how cozy and inviting it is. The hosts were exceedingly welcoming and offered top-notch service. The chai latte and red velvet cupcakes that we consumed were both very delicious. Furthermore, they have wonderful outdoors places to sit. Highly recommended. 👌

Very tasty yoghurt with homemade granola and fruits. The scrambled eggs was creamy and smooth. We loved it! Coffee is from Friedhats, approved as well. New hotspot for sure! This café is located in the house where Johannes Vermeer was born and raised… very nice details and decorations.

Absolutely wonderful! We met the owner who is lovely and has a great eye for design in this charming, design-forward and delicious space. The food was just what you wanted - fresh, simple and very yummy. We can’t wait to return to spend a night in their 5-bedroom inn.

After the already successful piece of cake business, the owners decided to open a cafe/hotel in the city centre of Delft adding yet another diamond piece of cafe to Delft’s already busy cafe culture. To me this is one of the best out there combining delicious cakes with great coffee. The cafe is well decorated and the staff is super friendly. If you’re in for a good coffee or a delicious lunch this is the place to go!

Wat een fijn plekje! We liepen hier eigenlijk per toeval naar binnen en vonden precies wat we zochten: Heerlijke koffie, taart en koekjes. Mooi interieur en heel vriendelijk geholpen. We komen zeker terug.

Heel fijne nieuwe hotspot in Delft! Hier kom ik zeker terug! Lekkere lunch gerechten, die qua portie ruimte bieden om nog wat lekkers toe te nemen ;-) Erg lekkere broodjes burrata en avocado + de koeken na ook zeer aan te raden. Qua ambiance zit je er lekker en ze hebben een schattige buitenplaats.

Mooi cafe met een fijne sfeer, alle gerechten die voorbij kwamen zagen er fantastisch uit. Wij hebben heerlijk genoten van een taartje met koffie (keuze in plantaardige melk en zeer uitgebreid).

Had a great pancake stack and bagel with accompanying delicious coffees. Setting is very stylish and overall a comfortable place to spend some time. Price is also very reasonable. Will definitely be back here!
