Brought my in-laws here. We had a lovely experience here! The food is well-prepared with just the right balance of spice for European tastes, yet still authentic flavor. The Madras fish curry was especially delicious, and both the butter chicken and chicken karhai had a rich, satisfying taste. The daal tarka was okay, though not a standout. One of the highlights is the open kitchen – it’s great to see the chefs at work, especially with the traditional tandoor where they make fresh naan and other breads. It adds a nice authentic touch to the dining experience. The only letdown was the aloo baigan, which had too much potato and not enough eggplant – I wouldn’t order that again. The atmosphere is superb: warm, inviting, and full of character. The staff are friendly and made us feel welcome throughout the meal.

1st time collection, everything perfect. 1 week later, same order, really messed up. I think the order was in the packaging for a long time (packed an hour too early and left on the bar?). Dahl that was thinner than soup?!... diluted with water..? Limp naan bread in a paper bag completely gone... . Additional dishes tasteless and cold. Don't do this again!

Recently ate here and left with mixed feelings. Slightly out of the center of Delft, which makes it a bit difficult to find and the menu offers nice dishes that you don't find everywhere. We all thought it was a bit expensive for what you got. 8 euros for a Mango Lassie that contained less than the other Indian restaurants. Curry was dripping with grease. Meat was fine!

Good quality food, had chicken Biryani, good portions. Friendly people, nice an clean interior, plebty of free parking spot available. Main argument for rating 4 of 5 for atmosphere: office environment so not the cosy buildings one might expect for Delft. Nice place to visit and have a dinner.

It lacks the real Indian taste in food

We had reserved a table for 7 people a la carte. When we got there we were pushed to join the buffet in an area next to the restaurant where we had to sit on plastic chairs. It looked like a canteen. Atmosphereless. The restaurant itself was not available according to the owner. To our surprise, an hour later we saw that the entire restaurant had been made available to other guests. I think it's rude how we were treated. It was supposed to be a nice Mother's Day dinner but it was a big disappointment. We will NEVER go here again!

For a birthday, a group of 15 of us went to Diya Delft for dinner, and it was a nice experience! The service was friendly and attentive, despite the size of our group. The food was delicious and full of flavour, exactly what you would expect from good Indian food. From butter chicken to biryani, everything was tasty. The cozy atmosphere made the evening complete.

A little hidden in the outskirts of Delft, but the location is great for parking. Great interior with enough room for privacy and tastefully decorated. Food came really quick and tasted delicious. Starters were a bit on the expensive side, but tasted really good. Main portions are quite big, so those are definitely worth is. Love their nan bread. All servers were really friendly and attentive. Overall a really enjoyable experience.

Always good, don't miss the pink lassi, will get it again soon! And chicken tika of course.

Apparently only for large groups. Wanted to make a reservation for 2. Was asked if I minded being placed in a corner because there are only tables for 6! A bit of a shame, but not nice.

We have had take away from Diya quite often and decided to dine in. The ambience is nice and service friendly. We have tried a couple of dishes here. I would recommend this place for their snacks which are tasty and freshly made.

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the Kadhai Paneer and Paneer Butter Masala. Unfortunately, both dishes were very disappointing. The curry in both was exactly the same, and the overall taste did not meet expectations. I wasn’t satisfied with the food and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

What a great restaurant. The place is hard to find but the food is fantastic. The service is attentive and very correct. Nice menu with many well-known dishes but also a number of specialties. The tandoori naan are amazing, crispy and buttery. The various curry options with meat or vegetarian are perfectly flavored and spicy as desired. Excellent prices for the quality. Highly recommended if you like Indian food.

Excellent Indian restaurant. In an unsightly place behind business premises in a parking lot. So more than enough parking space. Lots of Indian guests, including families, and that usually says enough.

Chicken biryani, was undercooked and had a strange aftertaste and also no taste, there was no pepper in it, had asked for 3-4. chicken masala was also not enough pepper had asked for 4 tasted nothing. Management did nothing with the complaint, WE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE BOOOH, tooehh BEEH

Delicious food. We were 9 people, booked in advance. We were a little late, but that was no problem. It is not too big, but well furnished. The tables are not too close together, there is more than enough space between the tables. Excellent service, we were helped immediately. Didn't wait too long for our food. And the food was delicious! For a starter and a main course with 2/3 drinks per person we spent just over 50 euros per person. For the quality of the food, service and atmosphere in the restaurant it was more than worth it. This restaurant is highly recommended for gourmets!

Ate here for the first time, I had a selection of various Indian meat dishes, with yoghurt and naan. It was delicious. Mango ice cream for dessert. In short: highly recommended.

Tastes differ of course. Been here today because of reviews and social media. For me personally, this is not how I am used to eating Indian food. When it comes to such restaurants, I always think they want to make it just a little too fancy. And so the authentic flavors are lost. But that's my opinion and my experience. Hence tastes differ. 4 stars for those who gave us service today. 2 ladies were very friendly and the one who helped us the most was also honest and sincere. 4 stars for the atmosphere and surroundings. We certainly had a nice seat here and had a nice chat after dinner. 3 stars for the food due to previous explanation. And a downside. That you cannot pay in cash there at all. I think they should definitely indicate this on their site or with the reservation confirmation. It is indicated in the case with a sticker. But then it's already too late. If I had known I wouldn't be able to pay in cash. Then I certainly wouldn't have been there. I believe that the customer should and should be allowed to choose this themselves. Especially during this time. My opinion again. Unfortunately, not worth repeating for us. I certainly wish the restaurant the best of luck.

This was the second time I ate here, the first being a delivery order. I ordered the vegetarian thali which did not live upto my expectations. The paneer kadhai and paneer masala had the exact same sauce. There was no difference in the taste. The mix veg was rather bland. Also, they got my friend's order wrong. He had ordered lamb biryani but they made vegetarian biryani instead and then he had to wait another 10 mins for the right food. Having said that, it is still one of the better Indian restaurants in Delft so I'll probably go here again!

Welcoming and friendly service. Menu is simple, but more attention is paid to the individual dishes. These are authentic. Spicy as you are used to in India, but not overpowering. Everything is made fresh daily and there is an open kitchen. Location is behind an office complex. You wouldn't know it from the outside, but the interior is open, spacious, and colorful. ... Restaurant has become very popular and prices have risen considerably.

Hidden Gem! Hidden behind an office. What a surprise. Easy parking. The lighting could be a little less, you are literally in the spotlight :-). Food was delicious, especially the samosa. Too bad that something like fish could not be substituted for lamb. Boris thanks you for your top service. I'll be back soon because I haven't been able to taste everything yet. Definitely recommended.

As a vegan I ate here. There aren't many options, but if you let them know they will take it into account. Recommended for vegans is the eggplant and ocher dish!!! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere in the restaurant. I would love to come back here.

This Place is so authentic, as I feel sad that I discovered it after a long tims. We tried vegetarian thali with with Paneer Kadhai, Paneer Tikka Masala, traditional Bottle Gourd sabzi, special rice and tasty pickles. As an Gujarati and Indian foodie, i would say the dishes is better and more authentic than average Restaurants in India. The sabzi/curry was extremely fresh and delicious. Also the naan were very soft and delicious. I would strongly recommend the mango lassi and Rooh Afza lassi. They were very different and were bit thinner in consistency. Which is sign of good quality for me. We also tried Dahi Bhalla. They very full of flavour. Only small. recommendation I would give is green Chutney. It felt less authentic. please try to introduce samosa dish without eggs. I would highly appreciate as a vegetarian 🙃. The staff and Chef were very friendly and supportive. They made sure we get the best experience. When chef came to talk to us, we felt very welcoming and home. Looking forward to introducing this restaurant to other friends.

Don't eat here if you have a food allergy that could kill you! The restaurant/catering indicates that it will take this into account, but does not do so. I had an allergic reaction after repeatedly saying that I could die if I eat nuts. It has been said that only the butterchicken contains nuts. But after eating a small piece of kebab and having a terrible physical reaction, it turned out that the kebab did contain cashew nuts. The manager blamed us for not going to him, but this was not the case. The story has been reversed by the manager. Luckily I acted quickly, otherwise I would probably have to go to the hospital with an epi pen in my leg. Why do people take food allergies with a grain of salt? Very negligent.

Very well received, on the threshold of the restaurant, a person speaking French took care of us. The manager is concerned about customer satisfaction and very considerate.

Real Indian food for the first time... where are you going? Just to Diya in Delft. A world that opens up but all kinds of taste explosions in your mouth. Finish with dessert? I recommend the pistachio ice cream! Service is also great! Sweet ladies and a very active sweet owner. We enjoyed it and will definitely come back.
