Nice place to stop and grab a few drinks while going from bar to bar

A lovely little café with a great local atmosphere.

I asked for my bill and the waiter refused to give it to me because I was sitting with a larger group. I insisted that I didn’t wanna add it to the tab and he ignored me. When I said it’s my right to pay my own bill he said “I don’t understand” The music was also terrible

We stopped for a beer. The terrace was super nice and the waiter was very attentive. I recommend it.

The location is great, super nice area, but the biggest issue was the terribly rude waitress. One Guinness and a bottle of water was ordered. The price of the pint was insanely high at ‘€8.40’ (drink menu had no price) and it was poorly poured and was not good quality. After ordering and pouring the bottle of water into the glass given, it was noticed the glass was quite dirty. I asked to take the bottle of water off the bill as it was not drinkable due to a dirty glass when I was leaving. This was met with disbelief and rudeness as to why I didn’t ask for another one before that point. I was told it was taken off the bill, but the prices on the older menus are cheaper around €4.50 for pint of Guinness about 2 years ago. But as mentioned, the current menus at the bar have no prices on them. Very dismissive waitress overall, she did not want to entertain the conversation. Wait times were long as it was only one waitress for about 20 full tables. An elderly gentleman also waited for so long another client offered to go into the bar to get him his drink. It is not about the €3/4 for the water, it’s about the principle of how customers are treated here. Will not be returning.

For those who are travelers and want somewhere to rest before continuing, this is an ideal cafe!

We went for beer and cocktails. The owner is friendly and we tested beers from Germany and obviously one from Netherlands. Their outdoor sitting arrangement is amazing.

Really nice cafe on the corner of a park, great people watching and really knowledgeable staff who can make drinks off menu and the service is impeccable, which is sometimes hard to find in Amsterdam to be honest. Luckily it’s in my neighbourhood which also offers great food and shopping nearby. This cafe is a great landing place during the day or night if you’re in de pijp.

The staff were extremely rude the minute we sat down to the point we got up and left. A nice central location but not worth it. There are many other really nice bars around with great service, don't bother with this one.

Super racist. I was here with a group of 5 friends, non white. We were asked how much money we would spend before we were given a table. We were treated very rudely when our order was taken, so we walked away

Unfortunately me and my boyfriend did not have the best Time. The people working there were quite rude to us. I understand that we might have upset them (by drinking from our water bottle etc), but this could have been expressed to us with a normal tone rather than passive aggressiveness and weird arm movements putting us and the people around us in a very uncomfortable position… (like why did you feel the need to behave like that towards us? We were paying customers and every cafe has different rules, so I don’t understand the initial reaction). we immediately put our bottles away and ordered a drink instead trying to ease the situation. mind you there were other people doing similar things as well but for some reason we were the only ones carefully watched…. I can only guess why..🤷🏽‍♀️

Rude Waitress... Went once with my partner to have breakfast and as we are waiting to be served, we are having a conversation while being close, nothing innapropiate and we get interrupted by the waitress who explicitly told us in a rude manner to "Get a room" and told us that we were bothering everyone around. So a perfect spot for couples or dating if you want to show no emotions and just have a sad day!

Best pint of Guinness I’ve been able to find in Amsterdam so far (also love that they have it on tap despite not being an Irish pub in the first place). Staff is exceptionally friendly and fun. My new favourite local 🫶

El restaurante tiene 2 estrellas - uno para la camarera joven dulce (cabello castaño largo) y uno para el pastel de manzana. Aparte de eso, nunca volveremos allí. Estábamos sentados en nuestra mesa en nuestros teléfonos tratando de planificar nuestra ruta a nuestro próximo destino cuando una camarera mayor pasó y dijo en la parte superior de su voz para la mitad del restaurante para escuchar: “Mirad a los tres en vuestros teléfonos... es vergonzoso”. En primer lugar, no es asunto suyo por qué estábamos en nuestros teléfonos, podría haber sido una emergencia por lo que sabía y, en segundo lugar, si no le gustaba que los clientes usaran sus teléfonos, debería poner un aviso fuera del restaurante que lo indicara. Hablar con los clientes de la manera en que lo hizo es inaceptable y poco profesional. Ella nos avergonzó frente a los otros comensales y arruinó el almuerzo que estábamos pagando.

Nice small cafe with delicious coffees and snack. Good and quiet located on a corner, but not far away from high streets. Next time in Amsterdam, I will come again drink a coffee, eat a sback and read a newspaper.

An ok place to have drinks! They have this strict policy of not moving tables close to each other, even for big groups.

The man, William is very welcoming and super nice! He even let the bar open longer for my friend group. So I just can say come here and enjoy.

Horrible service, insanely rude old man who's trying to make you order every two seconds with the biggest attitude even though you already had 2 coffees, 2 apple pies and one spring roll in the last 1.5 hours...

The cafe is right around the corner from Osterpark, the place is pleasant and nice to watch. There are not many types of cocktails, cold coffee was nice.

A nice place in De Pijp for years!

Great bar with friendly staff! The atmosphere is pleasant in a quiet area. We simply regret the muffin that we paid €4.50 per unit even though on the cards in the old reviews it was indicated (€2-€2.50). We should have asked for the card because the muffin is expensive..

I had gone here with two friends a week ago. We all ordered drinks and when they were almost finished the owner came to us and asked if we wanted anything else. When we said that we were okay, she rather unfriendly said that we could also free up her table, because it was her best table and otherwise she would sell a lot. There were other tables available and I think it really wasn't the best table. Anyway, I don't think I'll go there again.

I walked across the Albert Cuyp and ate onion soup for my lunch. Halfway through the market things started to bubble. So I looked for a place to sneak in near the toilet. Krull was the perfect opportunity. Once I was seated, everything exploded, just in time. What a relief. After sweeping, the toilet turned out to be broken and I could not flush. That is why I would like to apologize in this way. Other than that I had a nice afternoon. I'll come and have a cup of coffee again.

Sometimes the iced latte is really great and other times you just get a glass of water with coffee flavor.

We had a beer each but it was not possible to order at the table. One person from our group had to go inside to give the order even though there were a couple of waiters going around the tables. Nothing exceptional

Hands down my new favourite cafe/bar in Amsterdam. Everything about this place was great. From the selection of drinks to the amazing service, everything was faultless. Very cheap drinks, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and just a very cozy relaxing atmosphere. Definitely will return! 8 🤣

Really lovely cafe with a great selection of beer on tap and alcohol in general. Indoors is very cozy and relatively spacious for a bar in the Pijp. They have a nice outdoor seating area which is covered to protect from Amsterdam’s ever-raining skies.

A wonderful cafe bar with lots of outdoor seating. A great beer selection, nice lunch menu and the most generous cheese sandwich I've ever seen. Great staff and attentive owners/managers with a good knowledge of the local beers they serve. We were in Amsterdam for four days and visited at least once a day. By far my favourite cafe bar in Amsterdam and situated right next to a glorious park.

Great place to grab a drink and something to bite on a Krull patio. Great for people watching.

House Rose wine 💯 and the waitress was so cool

As others have said, not very friendly staff. I thought I was going to an average local place but turned out to be the most expensive coffee and pastry I had in Amsterdam, prices are not written anywhere, I suspect I was charged 'tourist prices'. If you don't want foreigners there no problem but just put up a sign so we know to go somewhere else.

Very nice people..who run the pub...we even met some of the local people who actually live there..they told us of a nearby Christmas ornaments shop too.. Near the market.

Buen sitio para comer una buena tapa y/o café y pan, precios regulares y la atención prestada buenísima aún que no entendía nada de holandés la chica me atendió y me habló en español y de muy linda manera.

Het terras is geweldig. binnen is een "zwembad-effect" Geluid weerkaatst waardoor je de bediening keihard hoort praten. En de muziek die niet per se hard staat, klinkt keihard door de belabberde akoestiek. Gekletter van borden en bestek is ook heel hard. Echt de HEL.

Non aspettatevi grandi convenevoli, lo staff può sembrare scontroso ma lo definirei asciutto e diretto, stile frequente negli olandesi. Il posto è frequentato dai locals e restituisce un'atmosfera autentica e rilassata di fronte al sarphati park e a pochi passi dalla caotica albert cuypstraat. Dispone di posti all'aperto alcuni dei quali sotto ad un riparo tattico in caso di pioggia. Si può fare una pausa con un ottimo caffè oppure di scegliere tra le tante birre (io adoro la chouffe alla spina) e gli ottimi panini ma anche i tipici snack olandesi (crocchette, bastoncini al formaggio, etc). Gli orari non sono molto flessibili e alcuni prodotti sono disponibili solamente in alcune fasce orarie. 2 Chouffe alla spina + 1 piatto con 8 crocchette 17,80 euro

Extremely rude blonde and chubby waitress! Not recommended. Food was okay, but quite expensive. You’ll find better places in De Pijp.
