A very nice Dutch pub... Very friendly service. A hidden gem for tourists.

What a great pub this is! We usually went to De 2 Zwaantjes with a group, but now we've all become fans of Lowietje. Great singers! We had a blast.

You walk in, thinking, "One pint and I'll be home," but before you know it, you're belting out a Clouseau tune. The DJ plays a varied set, the pints are well-poured, and the staff are attentive. And yes, sometimes it's noisy, but that's precisely what makes it lively. No one's fancy here, thankfully.

Awesome pub! Highly recommended for a fun night out! Great people, and the "balls" are delicious! People who say it's not fun don't know what good company is!

Cafe Lowietje is a real Amsterdam cafe where the Amsterdam coziness is still present. The people behind the bar are great, just like the owner! Absolutely recommended!

We used to come here regularly but the atmosphere used to be better...music on level 10...you can't have a normal conversation anymore...No more coffee or tea available is written on the note on the window...don't forget that some older people sometimes drop by for a cup of coffee...in short, it's become a common drinking den...anything for a quick buck...Amsterdam has much better pubs...

Heerlijke plek. Elk weekend weer feest! Grootste aanrader die ik iedereen geef. Enorm lief bar personeel en knappe portiers. Tot zondag!

The eight of us go inside. Wanted to move 2 wooden standing tables a bit so that 8 of us could stand around them! Did the innkeeper get angry? 'Back to those tables' I won't do that to you either when I come to visit! Awesome atmosphere! Paid for and partly drank the ordered drink. 'Get out of here'! Was our motto! Never again Café Lowietje! Completely over the horse! Was on TV once! Definitely invented the word 'kapsones'!

What a great company! I was there early in the morning too early for my appointment. Upon arrival, a charming lady, very hospitable and immediately felt at home. I drank a delicious cappuccino. Neat company, clean, top hygiene and everything looked neat.

Cozy pub, friendly bartender. It is definitely worth taking the walk from the center of Amsterdam to Lowietje's Café. We are from the generation that watched Baantjer and it is very nice to see this location.

We came here on Saturday afternoon with 2 couples and it was really nice. The Café was quite full, but the atmosphere was great. Very friendly bar staff. We enjoyed it and will definitely come back.

Super fun and affordable pub. A real old brown café, there are not many of those around anymore. You've come to the right place for an old-fashioned night out. Authentic Amsterdam cafe. Nice staff and Bianca's meatballs are addictive! Also nice to have sat on the stool with cee-oo-cee-kaa for a while. Highly recommended! Not the best cafe for nothing🎉

A typical Jordanian café. Hate it or love it. The first step you take inside you are immediately immersed in this cozy Jordanian atmosphere. It is therefore very nice to have a nice beer (Amstel beer of course) here. And a nice bonus for Dutch people who used to watch the crime series Baantjer: This is the real pub from the series in which the murders were solved in every episode! A gold plate hangs near the stool, the original hat hangs there and there are even more Baantjer items to admire. Everything is very recognizable! Even the windows of the buildings opposite the café are still the same. These windows were used as the so-called ramparts. There were always ladies there. Very nice to see!

Real Amsterdam Bruin Cafe, where Baantjer was filmed. Friendly atmosphere, nice innkeeper, delicious drinks and delicious homemade meatballs.

Refused for the first time in my life, security said it was too full while the back was still completely empty, probably not allowed in because I came with my girlfriend and I'm guessing they only want singles, a bit sad, but that's just how security is there. (unsure man)

Typical café in the middle of the Jordaan. Each day after a lovely day of exploring beautiful Amsterdam we ended up in the cosy café of Lowietje. To enjoy the atmosphere and a lovely beer 🍻 or two. With some “vlammetjes” or “bitterballen”.

Top, kroegentocht en eindigen bij Lowietje. Wij noemen het Nederlands carnaval zo gezellig, gemoedelijk leuk publiek en goede zangers gisteravond. Mensen bedankt, graag tot nog eens. Groeten uit Limburg.

Gezellig bende. Zondag is top. Fijne mensen achter de bar en leuke zanger. Fijne kroeg zonder geouwehoer.

Prima plek om voetbal te kijken, goede selectie bier en lekkere snacks voor erbij. Bij mooi weer kun je lekker buiten op het terras zitten.

Al jaren is dit hét café! Top plek, warme eigenaar en personeel, heerlijke muziek, vaak zangers, en altijd een welkom gevoel! Schoon en netjes en nog 1 van de weinige echte Amsterdamse, Jordaan cafés. Zoals deze vind je ze nergens meer!!!

Dé kroeg voor jong en oud, bloedgezellig personeel en zingende barmannen, je begrijp niets van het woord “feest” als je niet bij Lowietje bent geweest.

Jaren geleden ben ik hier onverwacht terecht gekomen. Voelde gelijk als een warm bad. Met enige regelmaat ga ik hier naar toe. Je word gelijk weer met open armen ontvangen.....top mensen in een top cafe.

Een echt typisch gezellig Amsterdams café die echt de moeite waard is om te bezoeken. Er hangt een gemoedelijke sfeer, het personeel is erg gastvrij. Ik kom niet uit Amsterdam, maar een paar keer per jaar houden we een kroegentocht in Amsterdam en dan mag Café Lowietje zeker niet ontbreken. Heerlijk de echte Amsterdamse sfeer proeven. En meezingen met de Nederlandstalige muziek. Ik hou ervan!

Este es un café típico holandés donde pruebas diferentes tipos de cervezas. Y la música típica holandesa nos pkayed. Bonito, acogedor y acogedor bar.

Sfeervolle muziek , goed om met een groepje samen te genieten , iets te drinken en te zingen ....op aanraden van vrienden zijn we daar geweest en gaan zeker nog terug !

Typisch Jordanees café. Werd destijds gebruikt als het café waar Baantjer zijn cognacje kwam drinken. Als je binnenloopt treft je de plekjes aan waar de Cock heeft gezeten. Zelfs de krukken waar Vledder en De Cock op zaten staan nog op exact dezelfde plaats. Check wel even de openingstijden voor het geval je er een bezoek wilt brengen.
