I had a really nice birthday here! Was served the first round of shots with a birthday song and sparklers fireworks! :D had a nice pool and laughed a lot. Definitely recommended!!

Good atmosphere (alternative with a touch of nostalgia), excellent and very varied music (often live and regularly a now legendary music quiz), spacious and almost timeless interior, well-maintained pool table and a youthful/experienced team of beautiful and very capable bartenders. Monthly pool tournament and whiskey or beer tastings. Unique place in Alkmaar in a beautiful location. And you can even order delicious snacks that are prepared quickly and adequately for you in the adjacent Aloha, personally served by the equally professional staff there. If I could have given 6 stars I would have. Top, top, top!

Very cozy cafe where there are always nice people. The staff are fantastic. They have good special beers, shots, and other delicious drinks. Come by and experience it.

The Playlist is always the same, no longer a rock café, I paid for a drink, eventually the barman comes to me and tells me I have to pay for everything again

If you need a place to go in Alkmaar to meet the locals and make friends, this is the spot. I had a time thanks to the barman, cool as a cucumber, the pool table, very popular so plenty of people to play against, and the location, right on the edge of the canal in what seems to be the most lively part of Alkmaar. A great place to start and finish off the night, thank you Excalibur Cafe, and thanks to the barman too who looked after me when I'd had a few too many haha
