Cool pub with frequent live concerts, delicious drinks and food, and friendly service. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful afternoon I had here. Every single piece of food was exquisite, and the atmosphere on the terrace is truly fantastic. The presentation of the dishes is excellent. The way the thick fries were served in the metal basket with a generous dollop of mayonnaise looked particularly inviting. The drinks were also perfectly taken care of. A cold glass of Westmalle Tripel in the sun is exactly what you need during a day out in Alkmaar. I will definitely be back here again.

We ended up here spontaneously and weren't disappointed. We had a very good meal ☺️

Service and atmosphere are 5 stars. The bartender is a pro. Guinness and Murphy's beer are 5 stars.👍🍻

We ate here today, 6-6-26. We had a bread board as a starter, which was fine apart from the rock-hard butter. For the main course, Ribeye, Chicken Satay, and a spicy burger. The latter two were okay. The Ribeye was downright bad. Dry, well done (requested medium), and tough. We mentioned that the meat wasn't good, but nothing was done about it. That's why we went elsewhere for dessert. The service from the young man on the terrace was friendly, but there was also a girl there who didn't seem interested. She took my beer but ignored my wife and son… very strange. We will walk past this place next time.

Nice pub. It was pleasantly busy on a Friday evening. Good to see that the bartender (owner?) also comes around the tables himself to see if anyone wants a drink, instead of waiting at the bar.

The most beautiful and coziest cafe in Alkmaar, with fun owner Dianto and staff Olja, Marley, Nick, Roy, Nesa, and Levi. I have been coming for over 5 years and I enjoy this Irish Pub.

Nik and the other bar staff were great. Even went to the local supermarket for me to get Cola as don't like Pepsi. Has irish pub feel and background music was good as well. Would recommend. Also, Guinness was pulled properly and tasted like at home

I had Irish Lamb Stew at Gunnery's on the Platte Stenen Brug in Alkmaar. It was delicious. I would recommend it.

Went here during a day trip to Alkmaar to watch the Formula 1 race. It was a fantastic atmosphere and very friendly service. I'll definitely be back!

Rally enjoyed it, live band on Thursday night , easy to get served, drink was reasonable price. Got me a taxi when I wanted one. Not sure why they take in the chairs from the area outside the pub....

I now have a local pub. It's a shame it's so far from Oosterbeek. I really enjoyed Murphy's Red, the staff were friendly, and the music was great.

We were there for Whopper Wednesday. The burger was delicious, as were the beer and cider, the music was good, the service was very friendly, and the crowd was pleasant.

Great burgers and beer. I had the Gunnery's burger and quite a few pints of Murphy's Irish Red. The staff is very friendly and just like most of the patrons always down for a chat (if it isn't too busy of course. Pick the right time for a conversation folks.) I've been here multiple times over the years and have always enjoyed it.

Went on a Thursday, live music night, bar was busy but food came quickly and the burgers were really good. Bar staff served quickly and live music was fab. This is a good bar with great food and lovely outside seating area, locals are friendly and helpful

Nice place but we weren't allowed to sit down. We got send away from our table by a server. He said the table was taken but it was empty for half an hour after which we left. This is btw not a place where you can reserve a table after dinner. It's a pub.

Loved it. Best Irish bar I’ve been to in the Netherlands. Had two poor experiences with bars In Amsterdam, but here lovely Donegal hostess, Guinness up there with most bars in Dublin & really good fish and chips with light batter. Live music, which was good fun, without being over bearing. Great city/town with a fantastic Irish bar. Can’t go wrong.

A really good Irish pub in Alkmaar. Gunnery's has great food (at least the bites I've had on two occasions), the service is also great and it has the best atmosphere for catching football matches outside the stadium.

Top place, great decor. Football & rugby bring the crowds in. Good pub food. Friendly staff.

Nice place, good service and hoog choice of drinks

One of the best Irish pubs i know. The food, the service and ofcourse the atmosphere are just perfect. Try the Guinness Stout Burger. My favourite burger of Alkmaar and maybe even my favourite ever, but you have to decide that for yourself!

We were able to spontaneously sit down and enjoy the entire atmospheric flair. The food was ok, nothing special for the money. Everyone is friendly and helpful,,,,but that is the case throughout the Netherlands. We sat outside so we didn't see much of the pub. It's very clocky in there

Nice pub. It was full, TV broadcast from the Alkmaar Football Club. Just drank something, didn't eat anything. What we saw of food looked good 🤔

A typical, lively pub with friendly staff. We were there for a few beers on two days, always at the buffet. The first time, we had to pay as we left. The second time, with the girls, we were immediately handed the scanner to pay. But the beer was still tasty 😁 We'd go back anytime 👍

It's a lovely place to sit outside. They serve delicious drinks and food. The fish and chips and spare ribs were perfect. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Dogs are also allowed. Highly recommended!

Terrible Experience. We had reserved a table for 5 people, but we got a very small table. When we wanted to order food, it was no longer possible because it was too busy, even though we had stated this in the reservation. Then we wanted to get something from outside, which we were also not allowed to do. Anything but customer friendly

It was a great night; it's always the last bar/club/restaurant open. I usually go there for the nightlife, and it was a great experience. Plus, I will forever give them props because I had a Halloween house party, and we decided to go out, and all the other bars turned us away except for Gunnerys. They welcomed us in and informed us that they would be celebrating the next day. I just found out that they also serve lunch and dinner there, so I'm interested in trying the daytime scene as well.

Only enjoyed the Murphys Red here, so I didn't eat any food and can't comment on that. Maybe next time. The atmosphere and surroundings are exactly what you expect from an Irish Pub.

I visited this pub for lunch with my in-laws visiting from Germany and had an unfortunate experience. We ordered the stout burger, chicken wings, and a bowl of chips. After waiting for nearly an hour, the food finally arrived, except for the stout burger, which was the main reason I chose this place. When I informed the waitress, who was nice, I overheard the manager (possibly the owner) saying they needed to prioritize other orders before mine. The pub wasn't particularly busy, so I can't imagine how they would handle a full house. Initially, the service was good, but this incident made the experience uncomfortable. I ended up leaving hungry, and they didn't offer anything to make up for the inconvenience or the extra wait. This showed a lack of customer service and attention to detail. It's a shame because it started off well, but I left very disappointed.

A Dutch/Irish pub with great atmosphere. Food choices simple but tasty.

We wanted to stop here with a group at 11 a.m. according to the opening times on Google. When I went into the pub the waitress said they didn't open until 12pm. I then said that we would come back and please make a reservation in the back area. She then said that the back area was already reserved. When I said it doesn't matter, we'll sit in the front area, the whole store was suddenly reserved for a private party. It's clear at noon at 12 p.m.!!! And nothing prepared at 11am!! Very hospitable. We then left our money somewhere else, there is enough choice.
