A truly fantastic Irish pub. Incredibly friendly service, delicious fries, and superb chicken bites. The beer is cold, and the whiskey is excellent. Highly recommended.

Wow, what a breakfast! This will keep me going for a while. Add a Guinness, and it's still noon. Great service, nice patio. I'll be back! (Based on 1 visit)

Went on a Thursday, live music night, bar was busy but food came quickly and the burgers were really good. Bar staff served quickly and live music was fab. This is a good bar with great food and lovely outside seating area, locals are friendly and helpful

Makes a very good impression from the outside. Unfortunately we were way too early and it was still closed. Shit happens...next time.

Nice place but we weren't allowed to sit down. We got send away from our table by a server. He said the table was taken but it was empty for half an hour after which we left. This is btw not a place where you can reserve a table after dinner. It's a pub.

Loved it. Best Irish bar I’ve been to in the Netherlands. Had two poor experiences with bars In Amsterdam, but here lovely Donegal hostess, Guinness up there with most bars in Dublin & really good fish and chips with light batter. Live music, which was good fun, without being over bearing. Great city/town with a fantastic Irish bar. Can’t go wrong.

A really good Irish pub in Alkmaar. Gunnery's has great food (at least the bites I've had on two occasions), the service is also great and it has the best atmosphere for catching football matches outside the stadium.

One of the best Irish pubs i know. The food, the service and ofcourse the atmosphere are just perfect. Try the Guinness Stout Burger. My favourite burger of Alkmaar and maybe even my favourite ever, but you have to decide that for yourself!

We were able to spontaneously sit down and enjoy the entire atmospheric flair. The food was ok, nothing special for the money. Everyone is friendly and helpful,,,,but that is the case throughout the Netherlands. We sat outside so we didn't see much of the pub. It's very clocky in there

Nice pub. It was full, TV broadcast from the Alkmaar Football Club. Just drank something, didn't eat anything. What we saw of food looked good 🤔

A typical, lively pub with friendly staff. We were there for a few beers on two days, always at the buffet. The first time, we had to pay as we left. The second time, with the girls, we were immediately handed the scanner to pay. But the beer was still tasty 😁 We'd go back anytime 👍

It's a lovely place to sit outside. They serve delicious drinks and food. The fish and chips and spare ribs were perfect. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Dogs are also allowed. Highly recommended!

Terrible Experience. We had reserved a table for 5 people, but we got a very small table. When we wanted to order food, it was no longer possible because it was too busy, even though we had stated this in the reservation. Then we wanted to get something from outside, which we were also not allowed to do. Anything but customer friendly

It was a great night; it's always the last bar/club/restaurant open. I usually go there for the nightlife, and it was a great experience. Plus, I will forever give them props because I had a Halloween house party, and we decided to go out, and all the other bars turned us away except for Gunnerys. They welcomed us in and informed us that they would be celebrating the next day. I just found out that they also serve lunch and dinner there, so I'm interested in trying the daytime scene as well.

Only enjoyed the Murphys Red here, so I didn't eat any food and can't comment on that. Maybe next time. The atmosphere and surroundings are exactly what you expect from an Irish Pub.

I visited this pub for lunch with my in-laws visiting from Germany and had an unfortunate experience. We ordered the stout burger, chicken wings, and a bowl of chips. After waiting for nearly an hour, the food finally arrived, except for the stout burger, which was the main reason I chose this place. When I informed the waitress, who was nice, I overheard the manager (possibly the owner) saying they needed to prioritize other orders before mine. The pub wasn't particularly busy, so I can't imagine how they would handle a full house. Initially, the service was good, but this incident made the experience uncomfortable. I ended up leaving hungry, and they didn't offer anything to make up for the inconvenience or the extra wait. This showed a lack of customer service and attention to detail. It's a shame because it started off well, but I left very disappointed.

A Dutch/Irish pub with great atmosphere. Food choices simple but tasty.

We wanted to stop here with a group at 11 a.m. according to the opening times on Google. When I went into the pub the waitress said they didn't open until 12pm. I then said that we would come back and please make a reservation in the back area. She then said that the back area was already reserved. When I said it doesn't matter, we'll sit in the front area, the whole store was suddenly reserved for a private party. It's clear at noon at 12 p.m.!!! And nothing prepared at 11am!! Very hospitable. We then left our money somewhere else, there is enough choice.

I have been coming here for almost 3 years now. There are often very nice regular guests. In addition, the atmosphere is cozy and cozy and the staff is absolutely wonderful. I always enjoy coming here and the pub feels like a second home. I have also become friends with the staff, and they always know what I want to drink. I like coming here and I'll keep coming back. I was refused service by the big lump of an owner...( who was clearly drunk) ..because myself and one of my friends are transgender....Amsterdam is more tolerant.

A brilliant pub with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very efficient. A young lady with dark hair was especially helpful and took care of my husband when he fell over. It was greatly appreciated.

Gunnery’s has been the place to meet when me and my friends go out every week. We’ve always had a good time there, the staff is always very friendly and helpful even when the pub is full. The big but comes here… while enjoying a football match, and having already spent more than a couple hundred, the owner (Sharon) came to our table and very rudely told us to buy something or to leave. She must have not seen that I still had half of my beer and that my friends were deciding on what to do next. However, she didn’t seem to care and repeated, buy drinks or leave. She did the same to table next to us. That was very rude from her. You don’t shout to your clients like that. I personally felt very uncomfortable. Very unfortunate!!! A total shame!

Always have a great time at Gunnery's, unfortunately tonight during a nice game of football the owner (Sharon?) was very pushy and said we had to order or leave when there was no beer on the table for a moment because people were taking a smoke break, this even though we had already ordered hundreds of euros. Unfortunately, it still leaves a bitter aftertaste. The waiting staff have absolutely nothing to complain about and they deserve a 5/5 rating.

Unfortunately the beer was not drinkable... otherwise a nice pub with nice people. (I didn't know how to respond, so I did it this way.) *probably because it was towards the end of the evening on King's Night, it was not possible to drink, the rest was almost gone. Very much enjoyed there. 🥳

Despite the enormous crowds, it was still very neat and well served. Lunch was fine.

Nice, neat Irish pub that is a real living room not only for Irish people, but also for Alkmaar residents. It is wonderful to sit at the front door with a Guinness in your hand.
