Served at a pace that will leave you speechless by a waitress with a perpetual smile, she'll provide expert menu information, and then deliver an exceptionally well-prepared meal to your table. This is a great place to dine. Kudos to the kitchen and especially to the service.

Don't think twice, just go straight in. A great restaurant with friendly staff. The food was delicious. A cozy terrace on the roundabout. Ample parking. I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance.

Super quality, one of the best restaurants in the Achterhoek

You can eat very well here, although they are not the cheapest, you also sit well and not too close to each other, you can still talk quietly here, which is no longer possible nowadays because of the music and/or the crowds. The staff is generally very friendly and helpful, except for one person who we unfortunately often had at the table 🙈 I had not been there for 30 years because we no longer live in Gelderland, but still very good!

I like to eat here. Classic dishes prepared with flexibility. The service is very experienced and very friendly. I recommend everyone to have a bite to eat here.

The two of us spontaneously went out to eat asparagus. Smooth service with good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

The food at the Tolhuis is AMAZING, yes it is a bit more expensive than say an eatery but this is considerably better. The chateaubriand is highly recommended. The rhubarb/chicory/potato/etc was also great. I'm going to send them an email for the chicory recipe because it was very tasty

Nice restaurant and not too pricey.

You can sit there on the terrace, but you can also sit comfortably inside. It has a great atmosphere and you will be treated kindly there. So this is highly recommended

Ordered a lunch today with 3 people. No butter with or on the bread, no mustard with the croquette, no cup of coffee or tea? It couldn't have been more shabby, and for €15.50 per person. It's not that difficult, is it?

Reasonable fish dishes. Very mediocre vegetarian option. "Various vegetarian dishes" was not explained, was a hodgepodge of snacks and poorly executed (spring roll became soggy from the risotto it was on). Nice service with personal attention.

It's always a pleasure to be here. The seats are a bit low for small people like me. But that has been counted on: they have a mountain of cushions ready for that. And I shouldn't forget the friendly ladies and gentlemen at the service.

Food was good. It looked nicely laid out, some decoration on the plate, neat. Only the Wienerschnitzel was more of a breaded piece of meat. Not a nice batter panning, much too small too (so only 2 pieces on the plate). In terms of price, it could be better! Furthermore, the food was excellent, the service was excellent, nothing wrong with that.

Atmosphere is relaxed. Staff friendly. Food okay, nothing special. You can go here for a quick bite. Schnitzel had no real taste. As a schnitzel lover, that is a shame.

Ate there for the first time. I ordered soup and chicken kebab for the second course. The soup was quite tasty, although the meat was a little damp, but since the pieces were small, it wasn’t that noticeable. The kebab was also raw, they probably stick to the idea that hot chicken is never raw... I noticed one thing, as a side dish in most restaurants. Everything is the same. Fries, and coleslaw... I would like some variety. Not fries, but mashed potatoes, not cabbage salad, but carrots or beets

Good location, accessible from every direction, excellent food and friendly service. The dog is also welcome. The atmosphere is good, although when it is busy there is a lot of buzz. For many, this will not be an objection.

Delicious food. Fish cooked just right, just like the pork tenderloin. Dessert was also very tasty. The service was very young, but very friendly and polite and also knew how to answer our questions neatly. The hostess was friendly and helpful and would take over the business a day later. We will definitely come back.

Delicious food, super friendly staff

Relax under a large parasol on the terrace. You do have to take a lot of (freight traffic) into account, but that also has its advantages. The welcome was very friendly and the same goes for the service. The food was excellent and delicious and dietary requirements were taken into account. You can also choose from the dinner menu for lunch. I chose a delicious salad with beef tenderloin tips and my wife a delicious steak with garlic sauce. What I like here is that several vegetables are always served with it. And that is sometimes lacking at other restaurants in the area. Then you'll be 'happy' with a bowl of lettuce. Hazelnut ice cream with peanuts and caramel is highly recommended for dessert. They will have game stews again later in the fall and I'm already looking forward to that. In short, they may not be the cheapest, but it is certainly worth it.

We thought we would just have a bite to eat at a roadside restaurant. Turned out to be a pleasant surprise with delicious food. We all had the main course, but that was more than enough. Pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce, fried potatoes, the tastiest chicory ever, broccoli florets and rhubarb. +- €25 pp. But so delicious! And we were treated very correctly and chicly, even though we were in walking shoes and jeans and a baggy sweater. (Day out exploring)

Op een mooi uitzichtpunt in Zeddam vind je dit aloude restaurant. We hebben er een heerlijke lunch gehad.

Doordat de temperatuur erg hoog was, besloten we buiten te zitten. Dit is geen aanrader i.v.m. het vele rumoerige verkeer wat er voorbij komt.

Wat een heerlijke, gezellige, en supervijfsterrenplek om eindelijk weer eens te kunnen genièten van eten!!! Jeetje, rabarbercompote die smaakt als een dessert! Of komkommersalade zoals vroeger oma maakte!!! Of zalige witlof, frietjes van aardappelpuree met een lekker krokant korstje! En dan heb ik het nog niet eens over de heerlijke toetjes...... Mmmmm...... jammie!!!

Restaurant waar gastvrijheid en service belangrijk is. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Eten is prima en wordt mooi verzorgd opgediend. Ligging aan rotonde maakt dat je niet voor het uitzicht hoeft te gaan. Maar van binnen klassiek gezellig ingericht.

Leuk restaurant met voldoende plaats en parking. De eerder minder goede akoestiek zorgde voor een kakafonie van klanken in het goedgevulde restaurant. Het eten zelf was goed. Bediening zeer vlot en vriendelijk. Ongedwongen sfeer. Er staan enkele streekbiertjes op de kaart. Prijs/kwaliteit ok.

Super restaurant! De kaart is niet heel erg uitgebreid, maar zeker voor ieder wat wils. De gerechten zijn goed op smaak, en zijn goed van maat. Vriendelijke en meedenkende bediening. Dieetwensen draaien ze hun hand niet voor om en denken mee in de mogelijkheden! In alle opzichten kan ik Het Tolhuis zeer aanbevelen!
