Visited this cafe-restaurant by chance due to a visit to the theatre. What is particularly striking is the incredibly friendly welcome and guidance, as if you were visiting friends! Food was fine.

Best pizzas in Winterswijk and friendly service

Je zou het niet verwachten gezien de naam, maar overheerlijke Italiaanse pasta’s en veel keuzes in pizza’s en ook in de grootte. Meer dan heerlijke Carpaccio van runderlende, standaard overheerlijk brood op tafel. Zelden zulke dunne heerlijke pizza’s gegeten met een fantastische luchtige korst die tot het laatste stukje ook knapperig blijft. Achteraf blij dat het andere Italiaanse restaurant al volgeboekt was, deze ervaring was TOP.

Had coffee today at 't Spek-Ende. Not a positive experience unfortunately. A friend accidentally bumped his coffee to hear the groaning that didn't go down well. The knocked over coffee was charged for. All in all not very hospitable.

I ended up here by accident. This restaurant has three parts with very different atmospheres. You can sit outside in front of the restaurant. These places are located directly on the pedestrian zone and when it is busy, you are very close. Certainly nice to sit there and look. Inside it seemed a bit old-fashioned to me too, more like a traditional pub. But what's really a special gem is the rear outdoor seating area. It's quiet, sunny and very cozy thanks to the decoration. You can stay there undisturbed. The food was exceptionally good and tasty. Among other things, I had the Vitello tonnato. Not only was it particularly beautifully presented, it was also creatively prepared with fried capers and was extremely tasty. The seafood pizza was also much better than what I've had in other restaurants. The service was friendly, if a bit inattentive. Empty glasses were not cleared away for a long time, but this should only be taken as a small note if someone from the staff reads this. I felt welcome and very comfortable here.

Stoofpotje geen aanrader. Laf van smaak en leek opgewarmd. Meer kwaliteit van een wegrestaurant. Een nieuwe chef in de keuken zou verstandig zijn.

I would actually have liked to give this lovely coffee four points. It is very cozy, the interior is well maintained, everything is clean, you can also sit outside very nicely and it is an oasis of calm in a hectic place. From that point of view, recommended. What I really missed in the end was the pricing. Since there were no non-alcoholic cocktails or refreshing lemonades, we were offered the opportunity to make an alcoholic lemonade simply with sparkling water. This also tasted really delicious, it consisted of sparkling water, syrup and a few fruits. The only annoying thing is that you were charged the same price here as if you had chosen the alcoholic version. There are small differences between the price of sparkling wine and sparkling water and these should also be reflected in the consumer price. But we were then charged thirty euros for four of these lemonades. Our mistake, we should have asked beforehand, but I still think it's an unfair rip-off.

There was an extensive menu with lots of choice. Although the pizza with hot peppers had a very special taste. We also received bread with our starter (we didn't know that) and we also ordered additional bread, which meant we had way too much, which should have been stated. Our questions about the food were also not answered properly or asked in the kitchen. It also took a long time to take the order and before the food arrived, even though the restaurant was not full. Furthermore, it is a beautiful building.

As far as I'm concerned, it's the best kept secret in Winterswijk! It feels like you're walking into a brown cafe looking for a bite to eat, but what happens next... I won't reveal too much, you really have to discover this for yourself if you like Italian food (or a tasty pizza)!

Het lijkt van buiten een echte kroeg maar als je doorloopt kom je in een ruim restaurant terecht. De kaart is Italiaans gericht. Wij kozen voor de pasta: Delizioso en Vongole. Beide smaakten uitstekend en zijn ruim qua omvang. Bediening is ook uitstekend. En naast de wijn hebben ze ook zeer smakelijke bier op tap. Kortom een aanrader

Komen hier 8 jaar lang en het eten is top veel beter dan de Italiaan op het plein als je dat überhaupt pizza kunt noemen, hier krijg je waar voor je geld grote echt pizza met royaal toppings ben je in Winterswijk ga vooral een x hier heen.

Ons favoriete restaurant in Winterswijk als het om de pasta's gaat. Te verkrijgen in allerlei varianten, heerlijk! Flinke, royale porties ook. Bediening is erg vriendelijk, prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is uitstekend. Het eetgedeelte aan de straatkant is wat klein, je zit er erg dicht op elkaar.

Een pasta maaltijd genuttigd met garnalen en inktvis... Deze waren ruimschoots aanwezig. Goede kwaliteit... Zeer aangenaam vertoeven in Jugendstil achtige omgeving....

Wir haben während eines Marktbesuches dort einen Kaffee getrunken. Nettes und freundliches Personal. Draußen sitzt man mit Blick auf den Markt.

Lekker eten, goede en vriendelijke bediening en sfeervolle ruimte

De locatie is niet top, wij moesten lang wachten, het eten was niet meer dan redelijk: - de pasta was goed met veel parmesan, de stukjes varkenshaas echter veel te droog en onregelmatig gebakken (van rood tot aangebrand). - de Tartufo leek niet op de foto van de website had nauwelijks rucola ondanks verzoek hiertoe en nauwelijks asperges.

Ein sehr einladend des Lokal mit echt freundlichen Personal Kaffee ist doch sehr stark aber der Latte mit Haselnuss unglaublich lecker 😋 dafür 5 Sterne plus

Vriendelijke bediening. Helaas was de carbonara niet helemaal op de juiste wijze bereid. Het eimengel was gaar en niet romig zoals het hoort te zijn. En de knoflook smaakte oké maar de tenen heel laten vind ik persoonlijk een beetje jammer van de structuur die een romige pasta hoort te hebben.

Heerlijk gegeten, en prima bediening. Jammer dat er op het terras flink gerookt wordt. Wij zijn naar binnen gegaan om te eten.

Heerlijk eten, vriendelijke bediening. Extra broodje was ook geen probleem. Zeer grote porties en super goed gevulde pizza. Dus voldaan en zeer tevreden.

Tijdens ons weekend in Winterswijk twee keer op het terras bij dit restaurant gegeten. Pasta’s zijn echt heerlijk en ruime porties : wij hadden de pasta witvis, en een pasta met gamba’s. Ook de pizza’s zijn erg goed van smaak en rijk belegd. Aanrader !
