Café Samson in Wijk 01 Nijmegen-Centrum

Enjoyed a drink with friends and some tasty snacks. Great service and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.

During the 4 days we were helped very quickly and the staff remained friendly, pleasant and correct despite the crowds.

At least they had Zuidam. If you ask the waiter to come over with the bottle, they'll take your glass. That's a shame.

Many types of beer. We tried some really delicious beers that you wouldn't normally expect. We received excellent service. Seating facing the street, and it was very busy, even in the evenings.

Welcoming and pleasant. Service not very fast but kind, quality beers and dishes at an affordable price.

Atmosphere is mediocre. One person in a group of 10 had not yet fully consumed their drink (a soft ice cream) and had to eat it outside like a small child. Rules are there for a reason, but some flexibility and insight into the situation is also appreciated. Too bad the staff is not trained for this.

Said goodbye to a colleague, drank delicious special beers. Tasty snack platters.

Perfect. Extensive beer list. Pleasant service and on Fridays around 2 pm completely full with all kinds of Nijmegen residents. We had a perfect bowl (enough for two people) of hot and cold dishes for €15. See photo

One of the best cafés in Nijmegen for the real beer lover! Although of course they also have other good products on the menu. O.a. a good wine selection, good coffee, good food (also plenty of vegetarian options) and the service is always top notch! 100% guarantee that we will be coming here for years to come..

Café can hardly be more Nijmegen than this, they are proud of that. They regularly hang out here with their legs outside. At Samson they still have real waiters, where do you find that these days. Brown café where every Nijmegen resident has been happy to come for 50 years. Good selection of specialty beers. Indispensable in the St. Stevensstad. You can just slide in from the Houtstraat.

I went there with a group of friends to drink something and both the cappuccinos and chai latte were delicious. The café has a nice atmosphere and had an impressive (proper) italian coffee machine, if my eyes did not betray me. Would absolutely recommend :)

Review of Café Samson On a Saturday afternoon we went to Café Samson with a bunch of friends for a few (special) beers and a snack as a snack. The cafe had a cozy atmosphere and was well stocked, which added to the lively ambiance. The beers tasted excellent and the service matched this well. The service was friendly and efficient, which made the whole experience an enjoyable one. All in all, highly recommended for those looking for an attractive café with a good range of specialty beers and a pleasant atmosphere.

Samson is a brown café with very friendly staff and delicious coffee (and pastries :). Lots of specialty beers too. It's not a restaurant.

Fan of this cafe. A real brown café with a wide choice of draft, bottled and canned beer. You can also eat something there, but I didn't do that. I would love to come here again

Rude guy sees us coming in and just makes you sit there waiting while he's talking to some guy on the street, ridiculous. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN super bad service.

Classic café, good beer list (also good beer menus) and snacks, and very nice service (always in a white blouse!). The only downside is that it is often full.

Visited here during a waiting break due to shopping ladies. There was only 1 attendant in the morning so I had to wait a while. But the wait was rewarded. This establishment has an extensive beer list. And as a beer lover you can go here.

The nicest and nicest café in Nijmegen and the surrounding area. Very nice staff who are genuinely interested in you! The staff also has a lot of knowledge about the beer, you really notice that these are professionals.

One word, 10 letters; PHENOMENAL. This is the nicest pub in all of Nijmegen. The audience is from young to old. The staff are real catering staff. Pleasant, has a good conversation and is very quick with orders. They always have rotating beers on tap here. The staff knows a lot about the beers and will happily let you taste them. In any case, we are regular customers here!

We have been coming here for 40 years and it remains a pleasant pub. We hope to have drinks there at Samson with our 6 friends for a long time to come.

Jeetje wat vliegt de tijd voorbij Ik dans hier en dans aldik 15 jaar salsa. Zo geniet ik al 15 jaar van orchesta Salsabor. Een van grootste salsa Dur orkesten van Nederland en Europa. Nooit vergeet ik het concert met de trombonist Jimmy Bosch. Estupendo

Redelijk ruime bierkaart, gezellig sfeertje helaas ook een beetje aan de prijs. Wel vaak gezellig druk en wat langer open dan sommige andere kroegen dus kom er graag. Jammer dat die pelpinda's er niet meer zijn!

Wij hebben er een lekker bakje koffie met appeltaart en slagroom genomen en later nog wat fris maar mooie zaak prima service eten ook goed en er is echt heel veel aanloop opgestaan is echt hier plaats weg en weer bezet geweldig en dat is een goed teken, want is het niet naar wens dan blijven de klanten weg en daar heeft men hier absoluut geen last van💐🍷☕
