Café Strano in Rotterdam Centrum

This place is NOT a safe space if you arent a gay white man. The doorman and staffs are useless and didn’t do anything other than telling the person that’ve got racially attacked to calm down and still keep the racist attacker inside the venue. They didn’t do ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! This happens in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, in 2025.

I want to say that I’m traveling in Belgium, but I haven’t encountered such a friendly atmosphere anywhere else. Even though it’s a small place, there’s a lot of love. In this little spot, the staff, security, and managers treat people so well that you’d think they were regular customers. This means they are genuinely friendly. If you want to have a good time, you should definitely visit (just my personal opinion, not an obligation).

Unfriendly, chaos bar and unprofessional

The bartender "Brian" is truly the best! What a professional and so customer-friendly, a real asset to the business.

Pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Coats can be hung for €1 per coat. Good location.

Super small space for the amount of people that always go after Ferry closes. Music is mid at best. Staff very rude at times and they ignore you for a very long time for no reason (seems to be no reason as they’re not serving someone else). They’re quite disorganised with your belongings at the check-in and not worth the money. Only nice thing about this place is that people are friendly and everyone goes there after Ferry because it’s open until late but they could really improve on the music.

People behind the bar are nice. But the guest are rude and pushy just so you know!.

The music was not bad, the service was more or less, but the worst thing about that place is that it has no space for anything, it looks like a box of sardines. Horrible, you can't even walk or dance, extremely dirty bathrooms, I don't recommend it.

Be very difficult when you ask for a glass Maternity water. This while I just order full drinks and every now and then I need a glass of tap water. They just make it difficult for the sake of being difficult, while I can simply walk to the toilet with my glass and get tap water there. But they refuse to donate it. Strange sensation... and super stupid of the person in charge.

Al jaren dé stamkroeg. Ja het is niet heel groot maar het is wat het is! Gezellig het weekend inluiden doe je bij de Strano! Ik zie recensies van mensen die dan 2 sterren geven omdat andere barbezoekers niet met ze wilden praten. Nee vriendin, die zitten daar met vrienden wat te drinken en zijn er niet voor jouw vermaak.

Amazing place to dance or simply have a conversation. The bar tenders are very friendly and will always ensure you're having a good time. Revisited this place during the pandemic and despite the restrictions staff is cheerful and the cocktails are amazing!

DJ great, crowd were fun until later when they empty out from other bars and become difficult, door staff are ineffective in managing rowdy later crowds.

This pub not many people go .and some times the people will not talk with you until you talk with them it would be the same in all of the gay pubs in Rotterdam but I did meet nice people .and the music is very good .the weekend are full nice pub .

Bar à la décoration très Princesse du genre Madonna Material Girl. C'est confortable mais c'est trop à mon goût. Le lieux est sympa, à voir. Serveur très sympa mais manque de convivialité.
