Café 't Noorderke & Restaurant Noorderpoort in Wijk 00 Harlingen

I went there twice today for lunch and a cup of tea. The pea soup was delicious and very filling. The service was helpful and professional, and the atmosphere was very friendly. I have a slight disability, and one visitor was given help entering and leaving without asking. This is a bit more difficult with a walker.

Fast, friendly staff and delicious food: including home-made pea soup for a reasonable price.

The food was fine, as it should be, the service could be a little more personal so that you really feel welcome.

Nice place for a snack and a drink

We wanted to drink a coffee here, but the waitress lady was really rude to us. We sat down and she just threw the menu in front of us, like we were some kind of animals. Its deeply disrespectful torwards the guests. I never had any experience like this before in my life, so we just stood up and left without drinking or eating anything. I would not recommend this place to noone.

Delicious food. Good service. One thing I do find a bit disappointing is that smoking is allowed on the terrace where people also dine. Perhaps a designated smoking area would be an option, and smoking is prohibited where people dine.

A spacious terrace by the water. There are also plenty of tables inside. We made a reservation in advance, which wasn't necessary for an indoor spot. Delicious food, friendly staff. The atmosphere is a bit like a traditional Dutch pub. The price/quality ratio is excellent. Both the mussels and the mixed grill were delicious.

We come here often and the food is excellent, but last night the service was very mediocre. It's a shame, because you can have a great lunch and dinner here, but I don't think a little attention for your guests is entirely unimportant.

Very tasty food. The spare ribs were the best I've ever eaten. The grill plate and asparagus are also recommended. The service was very friendly.

After a nice ride 🛵 through Friesland, we settled down at cafe 't Noorderke for a fresh snack so that we can continue the journey on the Harlingen - Terschelling ferry. So we sat in the sun ☀️ on the terrace next to the canal, so we had a nice view of the pleasure boats that passed by and were waiting for the lock to let them through so that they could sail out of the harbor into the North Sea. We were approached by the friendly staff and asked if he could help us, I as a driver 😄 asked for a cup of coffee ☕ my girl ordered a Liefmans with ice cream 😋 we ate on the ferry so that wasn't necessary. But all in all they have a nice terrace with a nice cafe - restaurant and friendly staff so if you want to enjoy yourself you can go here 😄👍🏻

Great service. Top steaks... perfect service. Nice restaurant. Quality of the food excellent.

Ordered sparerib a mix grill. Spare rib was too soft and you don't really taste the grill flavor. All the meat from the mix grill were grilled too hard. Too bad, the service was helpful and nice. Not recommended if you want to eat.

They advertise as a steak house, I wouldn’t recommend steak here, We ordered the mixed grill small portions, high price burnt on the outside and raw in the middle.

Aangenaam zitten aan het water. Snelle en vriendelijke bediening. Basic, maar lekker gegeten. Je kan hier ook terecht als je enkel iets wilt drinken.

We have known this restaurant for many years and can only recommend it. When the weather is nice you can make yourself comfortable on the large terrace right next to the small marina (pictured). If the climate isn't good, the rustic interior is also very cozy. The menu is extensive enough to have something for every taste, without being overloaded. In 't Noorderke - actually that's the name of the restaurant, the restaurant is called 'Noorderport', but the two are actually not physically separated - you can find both local meat dishes, such as the Fryske Angus steak, as well as fresh fish every day. If you like to combine both, the 'Surf & Turf' (picture) is recommended. And anyone who just wants to have a drink is of course also welcome here. The staff, just like the boss, is friendly and courteous and is happy when the customers are satisfied. And we look forward to seeing you again!

hHt food was very tasty, all tables were occupied. The staff was busy.

Delicious food (including Juttersplate) on the attractive sunny terrace at the Noorderhaven. Nice address for transit to or from the Wadden Islands, but certainly worth traveling to Harlingen for this! We will certainly do this again!

The last dinner with my father before his time comes, it used to be his parents place, many memories of his were shared with me, his daughter. While we went back in time, in the present, we were served with such kindness, with such patience and grace by all staff. The food was wonderful, in fact due to my father's morphine he normally doesn't eat much but I've rarely seen him eat this well and enjoy himself this much. So for all at café het Noorderke.. My friend celebrated her 60th birthday with lunch here. Delicious food (fish salad) and 2 gluten-free buns for me. Beautiful spot also in Harlingen.

We stayed at Noorderpoort on 2 consecutive evenings. The staff is super attentive and friendly and happy to accommodate special requests. The food was very tasty and away from the everyday. Dogs are also very welcome. An extra big plus for us. We'd love to come back. Kind regards from Heiligenhafen (Northern Germany)

Bij ontvangst voelde ik mij niet prettig. Ik vroeg of ik op het terras kon plaatsnemen maar ik werd uitgelachen door het personeel. Erg onprofessioneel.

Excellent service amazing food, spare ribs/ mix grill outstanding

A traditional bar where I stopped for a few gins, a few plates of the local green soup. Friendly staff, interesting locals who (after a few) like to chat and are very happy to tell you the history of the area. It is well located near the long stay parking and the ferry to the islands (which was my reason for stopping by). A classy place to spend a few days I would have thought. Love to go back.

Heerlijke middag gehad. Smaakvolle hapjes, overheerlijk buffet en smullen van de toetjes. Vriendelijke bediening, goede service.

Geweldig eten op een mooie plek!

Heerlijk gegeten, super terras.

Heel eerlijk de jutters platen was lekker wel een beetje weinig voor een hoofdgerecht. De tonijn was mooi gegrild maar koud van binnen. De Indische kippen dijen. Volgens authentiek recept. Tip ga op zoek naar een smaakvolle recept. De kip zelf heerlijk mals. De zoete aardappel verdient echt meer aandacht deze was veel te hard geserveerd. Maar het dessert was echt heerlijk de chocolade mouse echt met veel aandacht en liefde voor de pateserie gemaakt.

Kleine diner kaart . Ziet er wel verzorgt uit . Eten was koud uitgeserveerd maar is prima opgelost door het personeel . Bediening is top.

An absolute gem, cute atmosphere and the place is so so clean! The food was fabulous, the male server was absolutely lovely - really considerate my husband ordered a coffee while I was in the toilet and he came to check with me if I also wanted something (small gesture but rare) and were accommodating with our baby 10/10

Eenvoudig restaurant, bediening wel aardig, hoeveelheid eten is voldoende, ik zie liever iets meer kwaliteit en minder kwantiteit, dat is mijn mening.

Cenamos aquí por recomendación en B&B que nos alojábamos. El local es amplío y agradable en un edificio histórico en el puerto, Pedimos pescado y los platos no nos convencieron. Quizá no acertamos al elegir

Wir waren dort zweimal essen und es war jedesmal sehr gut. Die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam , das Lokal gemütlich und gut besucht. Gerne wieder !

Na een stadswandeling met gids hier een wijntje met bittergarnituur gedaan. Vriendelijk personeel. Gezellige sfeer.

Super vriendelijk personeel waar je hartelijk wordt ontvangen wordt de hond is welkom en wordt even vriendelijk ontvangen door het personeel! Maakte niet uit wie er bij je kwam service was super. Ook het eten liet niks te wensen over gewoon super goed bereid en je proeft de kwaliteit. Ook merk je dat alles vers is. ( dat zie je tegenwoordig niet vaak meer) Zeer zeker een aanrader die je niet wilt missen.

Lekker gegeten aardig personeel en goede bediening maar een fles Sourcy rood voor €8,50 is toch veel te duur, jammer.

Great restaurant with outside & in-house dining. Great seafood dishes on offer - the sole is particularly delicious. Nice selection of draft beers. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful - overall a great dining experience.
