Super expensive more than 10 euros per beer??? This is a robbery...

We spent December 26th there, it was amazing! 😍

We were regularly offered food without having to pay. Also very customer-friendly.

Frank was the star of the show, honestly. Such a cute, grumpy guy. But the whole vibe was lovely. The waitress named Sophie was a sweetheart, attentive, sociable and down to earth! She recommended some other great places which we also loved. Mulled wine was a bit small in portions but the decor and the atmosphere made up for it. Definitely coming back!

They served me a completely sweet caipirinha. And they charged me for it!!! Even though I had to order another drink.

Guy who runs this place is very ignorant and discriminatory based on your ethnic origin. This is confirmed if you read all the other 1 star reviews

There's no better modern traditional pub. Excellent service. Delicious and truly good wines. My favorite place in Amsterdam.

Nice little café in Amsterdam. Good selection of beer and wine. The cheese and olives were also very tasty as a side dish. Prices are reasonable. Nice atmosphere.

Wow great beers, wine and whisky selection. Quiet and slightly off beaten track but avoids larger crowds so enjoyable conversation enabled.

This is the perfect New York City dive bar with so many tchotchkes and flair stapled to the wall ceiling and even the floor. Probably fits 30 people tops and has some amazing decorations. Super cold beer and a bunch of cocktails and special shots. If you’d like to drink in a semi dark, choke laden establishment this is the place. Will be back.

Endless entertainment for your eyes. Unique bar. I was drinking water and still thought it was a great spot in Amsterdam. Greet the cat when you come in.

What a wonderful place to stop and have a drink. John the owner, Nick and Sophie couldn't do enough for you. They have cards behind the bar so we enjoyed a few games. The beer menu is fabulous and they even do gluten free lager. Can't wait to come back x

We loved this place so much we came back multiple times on our five day stay. Out bartender Sofie was fantastic and accommodating. Very patient with my sleep-deprived self haha. The bar snacks were delicious and the atmosphere was very cozy. This is a great place to stop in and hang out for a while to drink and snack. Thank you!

Good beer and atmosphere(especially from cats), must visit

ordered a couple beers, served warm beer when I raised the problem, gave me a cup of ice cubes to cool the beer down with, diluting it in the process. Overall staff felt like they don't really want to work there.

Loved the classic Frank Sinatra vibe at this bar, smooth, timeless, and full of charm. Perfect spot for a laid-back drink with cozy seating and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Not the place for fancy cocktails, but perfect if you’re after something straightforward and chill.

The two of us happened to be in this bar yesterday. We ordered four Negronis and paid €52 for them. According to the menu, prices for cocktails start *from €11.50*, which we unfortunately overlooked! The Negroni comes first, but it cost €13.50 each. Overall, the price list seems unclear and not very transparent. In addition, we were initially given two fake Negronis that had lemon juice mixed in incorrectly - a real Negroni is not made of that. The preparation was also not very appetizing! The ice was put into the glass by hand and when pouring the alcohol dripped from the dispenser over the bar staff's hands directly into the drink! That's not hygienic. Otherwise the impression was rather mixed! The staff wasn't particularly friendly. The house cat is so cute!

We didn’t eat here only had a few drinks. It was the first place we went to on our stay and it was my favourite place the whole visit! It was so cosy, lovely atmosphere, lovely plum beer & cool chilled music. Absolutely loved it!

We spent an truly memorable New Year's Eve at Café 't Spui-tje. Originally, we planned to just pop in for pre-dinner drinks, but we were absolutely delighted by the complimentary bar snacks offered—canapés, smoked salmon, eel, beef bourguignon—they were all delicious and filling. We ended up staying for five hours, enjoying three bottles of prosecco and several beers. The atmosphere was so inviting, we didn't want to leave! Our only wish was that they stayed open until midnight to ring in the New Year, as we were having the best time. John, the owner, and his staff were truly delightful and made our night special. We will definitely be returning next time we're in Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

Owner proud of the Sinatra theme! Even got the Wi-Fi password along the same lines. Stumbled upon the bar but was pleasantly surprised. All Christmas themed and good cozy atmosphere. The best pub we visited during our stay. Would have stayed longer but had a boat to catch.

You almost pass it by, but fortunately, as the bartender said, there was a large reindeer in front of the door. Very cozy and pleasantly decorated pub with a nice choice of beer. The blond beer in honor of 750 years of Amsterdam is recommended.

The owner is a very arrogant man. Saw other reviews that could also confirm this. I fear that he is simply a bit frustrated at that age, quite sad actually... He also didn't know where to find a night shop, it could be his memory, but we found one 30 meters further :)) Oh well, we enjoyed it somewhere else our evening 🤩

We stopped here because it looked fun inside. The owner (I assume) does not make you feel welcome as others have mentioned. He was almost insulted that we asked him about a picture in the wall. Seems like a guy who only cares about his closest friends or just Frank Sinatra. Nice place to hang but we will pass next time.

After a day in Amsterdam it is always nice to end the day with John van 't Spui-tje. Nice wines, tasty cocktails and good music. That John Sinatra is a fan can be found in this café down to the smallest detail!❤️🎵 You can enjoy people watching on the small, but nicely heated terrace. My favorite cafe in Amsterdam!

Probably my favourite bar I visited in Amsterdam. Very cozy, good selection of beers and they do a great Dutch cheese platter! Also great to catch an Ajax game on the TV if you’re a football fan! The guy who runs the place is obviously very proud of his presentation so make sure you’re always using your coaster!

Nothing particularly memorable, but it's a nice place to stop for a drink beer and a bite to eat! It was quick and surprisingly delicious!

I happened totally by chance in this little shrine to Frank Sinatra and rum. Loved it so much I started seriously considering moving to Amsterdam.

Cute little spot we stumbled upon!! Would 10/10 recommend. Good wine (yay! Finally!) and Dutch snacks. Huge bar menu and friendly waitress. Cute yet sassy cat just adds to the quirky fun ambiance.

I was sitting with my gf and the old man just came out and screamed at us in Dutch for no reason. Shouting at us in Dutch with racist slurs even though we were so gentle king and respectful. He gave me a very very bad image of Amsterdam even though most locals are very kind to descent Arabs like us. It was unacceptable and I highly recommend no tourist to visit this filthy tint claustrophobic ugly place. The beers are also trash. Kindly don’t go there

The waitress are mean, rude and not fit for the job. The service was awfully long and they did not allow us to pay separately. DON'T GO THERE.

If you're in the area, stop by this bar! The interior is really cozy, you feel good there, the servers are adorable and attentive. We went there twice and not disappointed at all, wine, beers, plates to share, everything is very good.

Super warm place where we were able to drink (a few) traditional beers. Perfect with a small plate of mini fricadelles! The service is simple, fast and efficient.

It's called a café, but I would call it a rustic pub. Since there is no outside seating in November, we found space inside. In the evening it is certainly really crowded and that certainly makes it even more charming.

Lovely café in a very good location. The atmosphere is the best, with plants outside, and with an interior full of Sinatra's photos. And also the people working there are very friendly and helpful! Good vibes only. It has my favourite beers (Browerij 't ij) so it's just perfect

Two stars for the ambience and the service, despite the fact that the owner clearly did not like me. I'm surprised he even agreed to serve me. He was intentionally cold to me but super friendly to other customers. I'm brown skinned and no stranger to this kinda treatment but wasn't expecting it in the middle of Amsterdam.
