Café 't Swaentje in Wijk 11 Weert-Centrum

My friends and I went here because we weren't familiar with Weert and it was the first pub we'd encountered. We had a wonderful time; the owner was super friendly and welcoming. We accidentally spilled two pints, and we were given two more for free. Even though we wanted to pay, he insisted it was free and even cleaned it up for us. If I ever visit Weert again, I'll definitely come back!🤩 Price 10/10, quality 10/10, hospitality 10/10, etc. Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪

Great place, been coming here for years. Never disappoints. Friendly staff, nothing to complain about! Crème de la crème.

Actually, too bad for a review. It was a funfair on Monday evening, September 29, 2025. Four women were standing behind and next to the bar, smoking and playing on their phones. When they'd finished playing, they asked if someone could take their drinks. Unfortunately, you have to order at the bar and bring your own. I walked back without a drink and was about to leave. It's a shame one of our friends went to the bar to order anyway (bock beer in a plastic cup). We've been coming to this café last for years, but this was also the last time. If I were the manager here, I'd definitely hire staff and occasionally sample the drinks.

We started at Du Commerce, but because of the noise, we went to 't Swaentje. Cozy location, friendly staff. The sandwiches were delicious, though a bit pricey for what you get. We had a lovely meal there and enjoyed the pie.

I still know the corner as -Brands Eck- Soldiers from Budel liked to visit it! Hold onto ! That was in the 60s ‼️🍻

Super friendly staff and great service

Quiet cafe with a small food menu. We opted for the luxury sandwich with ham cheese, luxury sandwich with brie walnuts honey and the soup of the day asparagus soup with bread. Asparagus soup tasted super delicious, well seasoned and still with al dente pieces of asparagus in it. The sandwiches both had a salad with a super tasty dressing, the lettuce and tomato were well cleaned. The sandwich with brie walnuts and honey was super tasty, maybe add a little extra salt and pepper to enhance the taste. It was all tasty and good as it should be, quite young service who were friendly.

What a wonderful experience every time we stop there on our way through, friendly and cozy atmosphere, full but not too busy, tasty snacks and juices

Salmon sandwich was downright bad. The bread was old and very hard. Decoration also left much to be desired. Was out of proportion to the price. Service was impersonal and disinterested. Nothing was done about the comment about the sandwich. I'll never come here again!

Received old bread that could not be cut. Then having to pay more than the price on the menu...this is not customer friendly. I feel cheated....

Cozy terrace and friendly service

Nice in the sun on the terrace! 😎 Hospitable gentleman and the glasses were always well filled. 👍🏻👍🏻 In my opinion, the carillon in the area could have been a little softer..... 😜

Cozy cafe and friendly service.

We sat on an almost empty terrace for a while, waiting for someone to take our order. The waiter walked by, but did not notice that the tables were empty of drinks. This really wasn't the first time!!

Super bad doesn't even deserve a star, just go across the street. Had to ask 3 times for someone to come to the table (while the terrace was practically empty) to take our order. Ordered 4 portions of snacks, only received 2 portions and afterwards it was said that we did these together. Now explain to me how you get 20 snacks in such a small basket. If you ask for clarification you will first get no answer, and later you will simply be told that it is correct. If you want to have a nice and cozy time, go to the other side of Du Commerce!

We thoroughly enjoyed our party that we organized at t Swaentje. The preparation was perfect. Everything was thought of and discussed with us in advance. We were able to taste drinks and snacks. During the party it looked attractive and cozy. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. A compliment to everyone who contributed to this. For us, partly because of the staff, this has become an evening with a golden edge to look forward to retiring. Thanxx👌

Good place for a beer. Fast service, a lot of beer to choose from, tasty snacks with prior tasting and a vase of free peanuts at an affordable price make this place a good place to stop and treat yourself to a moment of relaxation.

Spacious terrace with nice view. The service was nice, but made some mistakes with the order. The pies were decent, but not great. Delicious coffee with liqueur and whipped cream was a big plus.

Beautiful cafe after the renovation. Been a few times now. The service was severely substandard on both occasions. I have already experienced 3 times waiting a long time before you are noticed as a customer and waiting 20 to 25 minutes for your drink. Yesterday I saw that it happened to other customers too. It seems like they don't want to sell drinks. The table we sat at was downright filthy. We had to ask for it to be cleaned. The table was partially cleaned with a soaking wet cloth. We thought a dry cloth would agree. I do not think so. The next table was served a latte macchiato with a dirty spoon. It would be a shame if this wonderful opportunity were to be destroyed due to poor service.
