The cappuccino is very tasty and the people very friendly

This seems to be the place to be if you want to get coffee before the dinner rush. While I was in Rotterdam, I try to make it a habit to chill here after I finish work to catch an hour of reading. The coffee is one of the best that I've had in the Netherlands (in the few places that I went to). The barista also took the effort to make the picture of a cat on my froth. What a legend.

What a lovely little place with delicious coffee. Both the decaf and regular options were excellent. And I only need one word to describe this coffee: balanced. They also put a smile on our faces with the cute animal cups they made with milk foam :D. As I've read in the reviews here, the only downside is the somewhat long line, but it's absolutely worth it. Highly recommended. ❤️

Coffee was really good. Kinda felt ignored. They serve with recycled cups unless you don’t ask, but saw later that they also porcelain cups.

The only con is that the line is always quite long, and there are not many desert options. However, drinks….. Drinks are always great 😻 And baristas are always friendly! My favorite coffee place in Rotterdam!

Good coffee, but the matcha not so much. Only tasted milk and no matcha. Service was pretty slow and felt kinda ignored at the beginning. The baristas were only talking to each other about other things, and did not bother to ask me what I wanted.

Perfect place for a high quality coffee and matcha! I tried their iced latte and strawberry matcha and it was so nice. I also liked the inside and outside area.

I got a match strawberry for €7. A bit on the expensive side, especially since the matcha flavor was too weak. It tasted mostly milky, and the strawberry jam was too sweet.

I'd gotten a latte here before; the coffee tasted burnt. Still, I decided to give it another try and tried the iced matcha. Unfortunately, it was disappointing as well. The matcha was overpowering, bitter, and completely unpleasant. It even made me nauseous. Furthermore, the two employees behind the counter were engrossed in a conversation about something clearly not work-related. This made the service incredibly slow, and it was painful to listen to everything.

A very bad experience, the lady behind the counter was extremely unfriendly. So rude!

Today we got two coffees and were helped by an employee with a silver cross necklace. He was very unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. The coffee was also of poor quality. Too bad, I didn't expect this.

As matcha lovers, we ordered three matcha drinks (matcha latte, matcha strawberry and orange matcha). The drinks were not tasty; tasted like grass. The employee was more busy talking to another customer than preparing the drinks. We will not come back here.

in my opinion the best coffee in rotterdam. come here often on sundays for work and that is a fantastic start of the day. nothing is too crazy, even a 4 shot flat white is not difficult about. recommended!!

Super tasty cappuccino. The coffee is made strong. Nice that there are options for the types of milk (cow's/oat milk etc.). And nice figures in my coffee. Friendly employees. I like to come here.

Small coffee and shop. Tasty matcha. Apple and ricotta muffin was very tasty. Chocolate muffin was ordinary, nothing special.

I like my coffee a little sweeter (yes I am one of those, sue me) and from experience I know that cappuccino is perfect when you don't really need to add sugar. Really good milk is sweet enough on its own. I will definitely be back, especially if the prices remain this super reasonable

Two types of beans to choose from nutty chocolatey and fruity. Baristas are diligent. The only let down is only take away cups is available.

For a little more, but then you have a nice coffee for. Yummy matcha. Really recommended, you have to be willing to stand in line, it is very popular, it is always busy.

We came to Cafecito to try matcha and when we arrived there was a long line but in few minutes it was already our turn to order. We got a white chocolate iced matcha and a strasberry one. We went upstairs to sit while drinking them. The space was a little bit small but also very cute and minimal. The stuff were also very friendly. As for the matcha we preferred the straberry one over the white chocolate but it was our first time trying matcha in general!

My favorite coffee now in Rotterdam as well as Amsterdam! The gluten-free apple ricotta cake is also to die for.

The combination of matcha and mango is really tasty, although you do notice that it can vary a bit per visit. One time we got quite a bit of mango puree, almost a bit too much, which made the mango dominate the matcha a bit. But hey, that depends on what you like of course. If you are a fan of mango, that is a plus. The cake that came with it looked a bit industrial at first, but was more tasty than expected. Rich in taste and certainly not dry or bland as you sometimes expect with such an appearance. In short: a nice place for those who like a fresh twist on traditional matcha. I will definitely come back!

Sitting at the mezzanine while I’m writing up this review. The matcha 🍵 (with oat milk) is €5 and reminds me of the serene Kyoto. It is smooth and mild but quite authentic , as you can see how the barista prepares it. The price is perhaps on the pricier side, but quite worth it .

Wow!!! I see all those mean comments and I think that some of you are in desperate need of a psychiatrist. You target a certain person for his behavior and not about his actual work.No bad commets about his barista skills. He is a barista, not a psychiatrist. But this is what we lack as a society.. Empathy.But in this case, it is about entitlement. This barista is always super polite. You demand to be pampered. Do you deserve it though?The customer is not always right. I am a person with social anxiety and have been served by this guy many times. He is always attentive and caring.He even prepares me my customized drinks because I am not allowed to have a normal cantiny of caffeine. I go to Cafecito because of this barista. How petty you must be to leave a bad review because you didn't get the pampering you wanted. For some people, psychotherapy is not enough.. You need an exorcism. Get a life!

What can really spoil my mood in this coffee shop is the barista with dark hair and brown eyes (barista with colored eyes is friendly!), there is no smile. It seems like he gets out of bed on the wrong side every day and goes to work like that. It's a real shame, because this is my favorite place to get my matcha, but I'm considering looking for another place where I can get friendly help.

The coffee is fine, but I came here because of the name "Cafecito" (in Spanish, I'm Argentine) expecting a friendly place. Instead, the barista was the most unfriendly person I've met in Rotterdam. I read other reviews saying the same, and I get the whole concentration thing, but being focused and being in a bad mood are not the same. I don’t think I’ll come back, and it’s only because of that.

Delicious coffee and beautiful cakes. Aromatic tea with fresh mint. By the way, they offered a choice of milk for coffee.

Too much hype, the chocolate piece is highly recommended, but the coffee and everything around it (double expresso) is not. Prices are not cheap.

Delicious matcha (so hard to find in Rotterdam!), lovely welcome! Clearly a hype place (you can feel the Instagram vibe), but the quality is worth the detour!

I came for holiday and we found this coffee on our way. One of the best quality coffee in Rotterdam. The two guys that were working there was so friendly and kind. I recommended 100%.

Small coffee place in the centre of Rotterdam, loved the matcha with coconut milk! Had to wait a few minutes in line. It’s on the more expensive side but the quality of the matcha was very good. Was served by very friendly barista :)

Tuesdayafternoon , outdoorterrace , lattemachiato take away , Nicaraguan olivaserievnub . A newly opened tiny “coffeebar” visited mostly by GenZ college teens wanting to be high end and wait in line for over 10minutes for a “coffee” and it’s hype . Coffee possible made from a blend of arabica = 🇪🇹 coffee bones and the tiny store itself is pretty bland and it’s staff clearly just want you to order , pay and leave , looking at their non-intrest and interaction with customers . And the coffee itself special ? No , no different than what’s already out there in Rotterdam , and your just paying a solid price for a hype and the marketing slogans they use .

I have tried Matcha before, but three times I didn't like it until I discovered Cafe Cito. I went twice with friends and even doubled down because I liked it so much. Staff is so friendly too! Definitely recommended

Coffee is ok, but nowhere to sit inside. The space is used ineffectively with only 8 sitting spots (not tables) inside.

Pick anything and thank whoever you want that this place exists. Best matcha in NL I've had till now! Visited them tens of times since my first review and it feels better each time. Now they are doing such interesting stuff like coffee tonic, coffee and orange juice and variations of matcha. I tried the strawberry matcha drink with coconut milk and ice and it was one of the nicest beverages I've ever tasted. I'm so glad this place exists. Also they hire the best baristas who make the overall experience pop. Top notch stuff, keep it up. Tried their cold golden latte with oat milk this time around and it was refreshing. The double espresso shot was shotting and overall another nice visit.

Nice cafe. Limited seating. Very nice coffee, chai and pastries! Tip: place extra cushions/stickers under the chair legs. They are very loud.

Nice and relatively cheap coffee and matcha. The place also have some chairs to drink on the spot althought most people come for a to go. Nice toilet.

The matcha here is mediocre and overpriced. Fortunately, there are plenty of better options in Rotterdam, such as NoiAA, Lerra or Served. A year ago I came here regularly, partly thanks to the friendly team that worked there at the time. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday (06/10) was very disappointing. The barista working, a dark haired English speaking man, was very rude and stood among the customers smoking outside, while it was quite busy inside. It's a shame that the atmosphere and quality have deteriorated so much.

One of the best places for coffee in Rotterdam! Love their strawberry matcha and cute looking pastries. Interior is modern and great for work. Amazing brownie - highly recommend. The staff seems a bit grumpy 😅.

Super nice hip coffee shop. But the most important thing is that the coffee really tastes delicious. 4 stars because I think it is a shame that there is nothing vegan available (in 2024). It might be nice to also offer vegan sweets. Then it will be 5 stars for me. ;-)

A specialized cafe in the center of Rotterdam. The place is small but worth a try. They have simple seating on the floor above.

I love to get matcha powder from Cafecito for home. But when I order matcha latte to go I noticed the waitresses are very snappy which comes off as angry and rude. During extremely busy days I understand but usually I go when it is calm. Additionally, the matcha this time was full of powdered granules I suppose it was not mixed properly.

I asked for a coffee not too sour and it was one of the best coffee I've had. The shop is lovely, staff friendly, and coffee deliciously good! Wish I had a chance to go back and get another one.

Great place for having high-quality espresso drinks in a bright, well-designed interior, with friendly staff. The espresso style is slightly in the direction of lighter roast/fruitier beans, but never sour (I had two exquisite Flat Whites on different days). As you can see in other reviews, paper cup is default but you can ask for a ceramic cup; and that ceramic cup is beautiful, worthy of the great drink, especially on the pretty copper tables.

Picked up a latte and cappuccino today. This at Cafecito (Meent Rotterdam) at exactly 6 p.m. Quickly got back into the car to enjoy the coffee. Both coffees were lukewarm! Paid €12.40, including the lemon cake. I didn't have time to drive back, disappointing. I'd rather ask for my money back for the coffee. My mood immediately changed to irritated. A solution please.

Great Coffee, Very modern and nice space and good looking dessert snacks. All seemed good, I liked my first visit. However later on when I kept visiting, I felt like staffs were not so kind. I understand this coffee bar has great quality of coffee with lots of specialty but barista looked busy and little nerved, didn’t feel so much comfortable on that point. Otherwise the coffee was amazing, I liked small matcha cake. It was sweet and good. Inner space is very small, has some upper level seats only. Many visitors were sitting outdoors on the bench. For me, it’s ideal for a quick take away on the road. I know it’s hard to be always kind and smiley, but if this can be improved, shop will be a lot greater in the future.

The site is very nice. There is a double-height upper floor so you can be in the premises while you drink a delicious iced vanilla chai latte. They also have pottery and utensils for sale :)

Nice matcha latte. I had it with almond milk which had a surprisingly strong almond flavour and a bit of sweetness. That or the matcha had some flavour and sugar. Either way I still really enjoyed it! 10c discount if you bring your own cup.

I tried the espresso, cappuccino, and cold brew. Everything was decent, but their cold brew was exceptional. Try it and see for yourself.

Really really good coffee. They roast their own coffee. The baristas are very friendly and talented. It was a 5-star experience but I give it four stars because they only had disposable cups even though they've got tables inside and outside. They should have glass or ceramic cups for people who have the coffee on site. It's a bit unfortunate that's not an option despite the fact that they have ceramic cups on sale on their shelves. They have milk alternatives.
