Very nice, I came here about every week about 28 years ago. The woman behind the counter was still working there. I recognized her, but she didn't recognize me, but that's not so strange. I have long hair and a beard now. Maybe she would have known if I had said that I lived with the Den Haan family, my mother Conny and sister Nina. Now I had to pass on the hateful greetings from my sister, but I just did the greetings. I just still don't know why there was a fight, and I'm not hateful. Very nice, nothing had changed, unbelievable. Even the plants on the terrace didn't seem to have changed 😉😇🙏

Haven’t found a place in the country yet where i would leave a squeaky clean plate after eating. Now we did. The vibe of the place, the service, the food 10/10, we’ll be back❤️

Traditional snack bar with a wide assortment and surprising options, such as sweet potato fries. Prepared at a leisurely pace, very good. As a bonus, the walls are covered with beautiful, unique posters that are regularly updated. Highly recommended.

There's no Wi-Fi, pretend it's the 90s and talk to each other! Spring rolls and fries with garnishes neatly arranged on a plate. Perfect for snacking. The tent is full of all sorts of funny posters and signs.

Nostalgic snack bar atmosphere. The food is generously and lovingly prepared, and you can taste it. We had a pleasant chat, so it was a pleasant experience.

An old-fashioned snack bar, in the best sense of the word! We stumbled upon it by chance on our way home. The fries and snacks are served on real tableware, with some delicious salad on the side. Even when we ordered something extra twice, it wasn't a problem at all. In short: well-maintained, delicious food, and super friendly service!

Unfriendly people, I've been waiting for 15 minutes, just staring at you and saying nothing. Instead of saying, "Just a minute, I'll be with you soon," they say, and we'd already ordered by phone for a while! It was for takeout. They're more focused on themselves than on the customers. The food isn't very good either; it comes out of old grease. The place itself looks unkempt, everything broken and dirty. The woman behind the counter could be friendlier and smile more! Not recommended if you want a good meal without a stomach ache.

Only one can be the best. Food is top-notch. Service is truly the sweetest woman and man ever. Food is so delicious and good, so delicious. I think this snack bar is the best ever, so glad it's close by. Keep up the good work!

This snack bar is a time machine to the 90s and 00s. A Dutch couple behind the counter serves you with a somewhat monotone, friendly touch. Fantastic. You get a fair amount of food. The salad I received for free is lacking in passion, but wonderfully crispy and fresh. A generous dollop of mayo alongside my well-fried French fries completes the experience. To top it all off, I found chunks of bacon in my crispy yet juicy hogweed. I'll definitely be back.

Best snack bar in Amersfoort, and I know this from my roots in Amersfoort, having visited many snack bars. The selection is enormous, and you're guaranteed to love the quality. Seriously, the special frikandel is highly recommended—the tastiest I've ever tasted.

I've tried almost every snack bar in my area, and none were up to par. But tonight I thought I'd give Dalton a try, and I did. The entrance looked cozy, and I asked the owner, "How long have you been here?" She said, "Since 1990," and you can tell and taste it in the food, made with love. A solid 10+.

The Dalton is a diamond in the rough, a little time machine, a cafeteria like all of them once were. With a wide selection of food and drinks, they also offer two gluten-free snacks. I was able to eat gluten-free here without any problems, and the service was friendly and attentive.

After a long search in Amersfoort finally found a real snack bar. Old fashioned, cozy and super good fries and satay sauce. Just old school instead of all that junk they sell in the city center. Go to the Dalton!! Top

First of all, it's good that they have a lot of vegetarian options. Only the fries were not cooked properly. Super pale and lukewarm. The owner (older lady) is also not friendly at all! I asked if the vegetarian chicken nuggets contained milk, she didn't feel like checking to see if there was, but she ended up checking anyway. I also asked if there was milk in the satay sauce, but I could just make it at home, but she didn't feel like checking another product. In any case, we won't be going back here, luckily there are plenty of other snack bars in the area :)

Had a delicious hogweed, one that is finally as it should be, meatball in slices with onion rings and pieces of bacon in between. Finally a snack bar that understands. Keep it up... Those silly plastic screens from the corona era are still there. It doesn't exactly create a cozy atmosphere. But the food is good 😉

Great experience here, friendly owner and delicious food. You imagine yourself back in time; 80's when you enter. Despite the dated interior (not meant to be negative), everything is clean and tidy. And the prices are not high. Recommended!

Excellent quality, I didn't know this standard was achievable in a cafeteria! Limited seating space inside but there was plenty of room. The inside temperature was the same as outside. But still definitely 5 stars.

This place is how a cafetaria should be. Decent prices, tasty food no fancy stuff. Also asked if i wanted the sauce on or next to my fries, which is nice cause i don't like my fries soaked in sauce. The lady behind the counter maybe could be a bit more friendly, and the fries where a bit on the dark side which does me suspect the oil was a bit on the old side.

Serieus de beste milkshake in town en ver daarbuiten! We zijn milkshake liefhebbers en deze is de beste! Vroeger gingen we nog weleens met de Bikeshop hier eten op vrijdag avond, alles netjes op een bord, gaan we weer in ere herstellen. Leuke cafetaria!

Ik woon zelf niet in dit gedeelte van amersfoort maar vind het zeker niet erg om 5 minuten langer te rijden voor een lekker patatje. Altijd keurig netjes op tijd klaar als het gaat om grote bestelling, het eten is zoals altijd met veel liefde gemaakt en niet te vergeten de berenklauwspecialiteit. Caferia De Dalton is zeker een aanrader

Superzaak! De plek is leuk ingericht van binnen en het eten is er altijd heerlijk. De prijzen zijn ongelofelijk laag en ze bieden ook veel lekkere biertjes aan. Bonus: ze verkopen ook dingen als kattenvoer, wc papier en koffiepads voor als de supermarkt al dicht is!

Heerlijk gegeten. Eten word geserveerd op een bord met sla,augurk en zilveruitjes. Heerlijk!

Mijn naam is Henri Struikenkamp en ik kom regelmatig bij Cafetaria De Dalton in Amersfoort. Ik bestel er meestal een grote patat oorlog en een hamburger speciaal. En neem van mij aan dat de patat van cafetaria De Dalton is, zoals patat hoort te zijn in vergelijking tot bijvoorbeeld de oerdunne frietjes die je bij Mac Donalds krijgt. En dan de hamburger speciaal. Die is zo ontzettend groot en smakelijk met alles er op en er aan zoals een hamburger speciaal hoort te zijn. Dat is mijn ervaring over de patat en de hamburger speciaal. Andere snacks zullen ontgetwijfeld net zo smakelijk zijn. En dan de mevrouw die de snacks maakt, is een lieve hardwerkende dame die idd gezellig een praatje maakt en je het gevoel geeft van harte welkom te zijn in, voor mij, de beste cafetaria in Amersfoort !
