Perfect! You may think, small space, but they more than make up for it with the food and service! Especially the food; the chef does not use the cheaper rolls or sauces, but makes or arranges the better variants himself. If you like snacks but are sometimes looking for that little bit extra, this is definitely recommended! And the boss doesn't make a fuss about giving advice, but also lets you taste it :) Top tent, definitely worth it!

Fresh fries are no longer that good and delivery times are too long these days. Several times longer than an hour and a half. Today even 2 and a half hours. Please do not accept the order. We will order elsewhere for fast food from now on.

The Loaded Fries with fresh fries and sticky chicken were really delicious! The fries were nice and crispy and tasty, and the sticky chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy. The food was delivered quickly by a very friendly delivery person, which made the experience even better. I can really recommend it to anyone who likes good food. My frikandel was not a frikandel (chicken with pork and herbs). Here were normally delicious frikandels and hamburgers. Too bad, but I'll look elsewhere. Fortunately, the homemade fries are still there. Staff can't do anything about this, those guys are great.

Cafetaria de Koppel is a small chip shop located on a bend in the ring road through Lunetten, where the Simplonbaan turns into the Furkabaan (where I live). This chip shop is run by Roberto, a very friendly 35-year-old man, who is always up for a chat and makes delicious fries. There are two excellent reasons to come to this chip shop. The first is Roberto himself, as mentioned, a very hospitable man who always creates an extremely relaxed atmosphere in the business. He took over this business from the previous owner 12 years ago and hopes to continue for many more years. Roberto also employs a number of equally friendly employees who also fry and deliver the fries. The second reason is of course the quality of the fresh fries in particular. Roberto takes large unpeeled potatoes and runs them through a chip cutter. He does this at a good pace and there is a large mountain of fresh fries at the beginning of the afternoon. Roberto replaces the fat in which he fries the fries every third day. I think his fries are great (score 8.5 to 10, depending on the freshness of the fat and the amount of fries compared to the crumb). I think you have to look hard to find such good fries anywhere else in Utrecht. Yesterday I had my family visiting and I ordered fries at 5:30 PM and I took care of the rest of the food myself. The fries arrived right on time, which is of course also very nice. Although fries are the main focus of his business, Roberto also sells other snacks in his business. Last week I ate a generous portion of chicken satay that Roberto had seasoned himself. Tasty, but I don't like the spices that Roberto used. I find the French fries and croquettes he sells ordinary (7). Roberto's business is also a meeting place for many people living in Lunetten. Recommended!

Eindelijk wordt de belofte van 'loaded fries' waargemaakt. De friet is al heel erg lekker, maar de toppings maken het helemaal af. Een royale portie voor een prima prijs. Echt een aanrader!

Bestel hier al een tijdje en de prijs kwaliteit verhouding is werkelijk waar top! De burgers en friet zijn heerlijk en de bezorging is erg snel. Met overtuiging m'n favoriete cafetaria

4 sterren omdat ik nog niet alles geproefd heb. Heel veel ziet er te lekker uit. De verse frieten zijn super lekker en de service is top!

De Koppel, een zaak zoals je ze niet vaak meer vindt. Van buiten staren de vele lekkernijen je al aan. Eenmaal binnen, in een knusse met witte tegels afgewerkt restaurant is het assortiment divers, heel divers. Je zou er bijna 'transnacksueel' van worden. Maar met een grote glimlach wil de eigenaar je wegwijs maken. De zelf gesneden friet is een lokale bekendheid met reden. Knapperig, goudbruin en met ruim speciaal saus geserveerd. Smullen. Ruim aanbod van vegetarische snacks. Alhoewel de 'Jalapeno bites' lichtelijk teleurstellend waren (had een explosie verwacht) smaakte alles super. Al met al de 5 sterren dubbel en dwars waard. Ik kom zeker weer terug. Deze quote past bij toch even wat nieuws proberen: “I am not a glutton – I am an explorer of food.” – Erma Bombeck

Cafetaria De Koppel is een pareltje op gastronomisch patat gebied! Heerlijk vers gesneden patat en een ruime keuze aan snacks uit de frituur. Tel daarbij de vriendelijke bediening op en je weet, dit is voor herhaling vatbaar. Misschien wel de beste frituur in stad Utrecht!

Naast lekkere friet ook een sociaal punt in de wijk :)
