Cafetaria De Markies in Huizum-West

Based on the reviews, I tried this snack bar. The fries and price/quality are better than De Coeter and Snackbar Huizem. As described earlier, don't be put off by the condition of the building 😉

I ordered 1 frikandel speciaal and 1 patat oorlog/ui. That will be €8.65, sir. I paid and thought: that can't be right. I asked if the amount was correct. The treasurer said, "Yes, of course." I said, "No way," that's impossible. Yes, you have to pay for the plastic bag and the plastic containers. I asked for an itemized receipt for my order. "I don't have one," said Ma Town. I asked: "Could you just write down my order then, including the amounts?" At first there was silence, and then came the question: "Did you order 1 or 2 frikandellen speciaal?" "Yes, 1 of course, I said that clearly!" Reluctantly, I received the money back for 1 frikandel speciaal; it almost stuck to her hands, probably without that plastic surcharge I had just paid. When the order was ready, you have to ask for the forks, because they aren't included as standard. When I got home, it turned out that there was 4/5 mayo in the container and 1/5 peanut sauce. Pure rip-off! Oh my goodness, I'm never going here again. The food was good though, except for the mixing ratio of the sauce.

The place itself might look a bit dated and could use a facelift, but those who look past that will be richly rewarded. The food is delicious and the portions are generous – and all for a very reasonable price. What makes it even better: the owners are incredibly friendly people who always welcome you warmly. In short, for a tasty and affordable meal, you are in exactly the right place here.

The food is delicious. Especially the pangang! But don't be put off by the poor condition of the building.

Always got my fries here. The quality of the food and the condition of the building are nothing to write home about, to say the least, but the price reflected that. After all, it is a Snack Bar/Chinese and not a restaurant. Price/quality ratio was therefore good. The prices have now gone up to such an extent that it is better to go to the Coeter. Also pricey, but a very clean place with good food.

eten is prima!! interieur mag wel wat verandering gebruiken, scheuren in de grond, missende plafondplaten.. en een enorme vetgeur. verder vriendelijke mensen;) gastvrij, achja soms vragen ze 20 cent meer. so be it..

Markies de goat man bro altijd na 't skaten lekker snackje geweldig chagrijnige medewerkers hou daarvan :)

De pinda saus smaakte naar Chinees, niet lekker. Patat was verder goed.

Vet geur is heel erg aanwezig in de wachtkamer! Het is omdat deze wat dichterbij is en dat ik er soms heen loop, maar snap heel goed als mensen liever hier niet heen zouden gaan.
