The food was fine, but I wasn't even greeted upon entering, even though the whole place was empty. I had to wait a very long time to order because she was too busy throwing stuff in the fryer, which I understand, but her colleague was standing next to her doing nothing... strange atmosphere.

After previous good experiences, unfortunately, today was not such a good experience. First, it took half an hour for our food to be ready; that can happen, as it was quite busy. Then, we only received half of our order. One of the two burgers we ordered was still practically raw (see photo). The employee indicated that this didn't matter because it is 100% beef. I don't think this is true, because it is ground meat and the E. coli bacteria could therefore be present anywhere in the burger. We also noticed that we were not the only customers with problems. We are very disappointed and hope that something will be done about it! Still, a compliment: the chicken nuggets were very tasty!

You get helped quickly, good concept.

I didn't feel accepted. They made us wait 15 minutes even though there was no line, during which we called 5 times and no one answered. That gave me/us the feeling that they weren't interested. And there is a lot of shouting at each other, which is not decent for a place like this.

Just now, with a certain academic interest and a touch of vicarious embarrassment, I went through the reviews again. It remains a fascinating spectacle how an apparently trivial deep-frying experience can escalate into almost existential indignation for some. They abound in terms like “too little,” “improperly fried,” and – naturally – the obligatory “things used to be better.” The latter seems by now less of an observation and more of a way of life. In that sense, the former neighbor has posthumously grown into a culinary beacon of mythical proportions, against which no reality can stand up anymore. Perhaps a factor here is that we in Veenendaal-Oost have become accustomed to an exceptionally high culinary frame of reference and taste buds developed above average. A level at which even the most modest snack is quickly subjected to an analysis normally reserved for high-end gastronomy. Out of a sheer sense of duty (and a slight curiosity about this alleged culinary decline), I paid a visit myself. And imagine my surprise: no drama, no decadent failure—just a perfectly acceptable fried mess. The contrast with the indignation displayed here is, therefore, almost moving. One might almost think that a brigade of connoisseurs has risen up who have since raised their personal standards to a level that would make even the average Michelin-starred restaurant nervous. The suspicion arises that the true discrepancy lies not so much in the product, but in the reviewer's expectations, which have evolved over time into something best described as slightly disproportionate. Anyway—for those yearning for a culinary revelation, I recommend looking elsewhere. For those who are simply hungry and not burdened by gastronomic megalomania: it all functions properly. But then again, that will undoubtedly be a disappointment for some.

Nice talk on the website, but what you get delivered looks unappetizing. Ordered chicken shawarma fries, but you get half a serving of fries with a few pieces of chicken. It also says you get garlic sauce, but that was nowhere to be found either. The snacks served separately are good, but you can't really go wrong with those.

I was a bit surprised by the hamburger menu. The fries were limp and about a third of the usual portion size. The salad was mostly a mountain of iceberg lettuce with a few stray splashes of dressing. And the hamburger was served on a cheap bun ("luxury sesame bun"), the bottom of which had become completely soggy. The icing on the cake was that I didn't get enough dressing, even though I specifically asked for it. I never thought I'd write a review about a snack bar, but this was not good!

It's dramatic these days. Since it's been taken over by new owners, there's been an incredible amount of incompetence, the phone is constantly engaged, the food is also much worse, with smaller portions, milkshakes that shouldn't even be called milkshakes (really just a cup of foam), they forget things in the order, and the service is scandalous. When we got home tonight, we discovered our children's snacks were missing (which was on the receipt). My husband went back, and his food was cold when he got home. The snack wasn't even cooked at all and had to be remade. When my husband suggested that compensation for the snack would be appropriate, given that he had to drive back and forth again and his food would be cold when he got home, the woman (a brunette) behind the counter disagreed. After much huffing, puffing, and groaning, it was compensated. When my husband pointed out that there was also something seriously wrong with the milkshake, which was actually just a cup of foam, the brunette yelled, "What a pain!" and no compensation was offered. The blonde lady remained friendly and tried to help.

I'm a regular here and come here regularly. The staff is very enthusiastic, and for a cafeteria, the place looks well-maintained—not a dirty, greasy, smelly mess, but a reasonably well-maintained little place. The fries are delicious, and they also have a wide selection of fries! However, I often order a main course salad. In that regard, it's a real shame that they (currently) only have four salads in their selection; I'd really like to see more. That's why I'm giving it four stars instead of five, but nonetheless: great place!! 😁

We always get our fries here, and we did it again tonight. Always nice and hot and crispy! Just the way it should be. The service and atmosphere are also fantastic, thanks to Mazame, Charlotte, Toine, and Colinda. What great people!😁💪

After standing at the counter for six minutes, wallet in hand, I left. The staff was young and completely inexperienced. I didn't even look at them. I just walked away. I've never experienced this before.

For the second time, fries and snacks were fried way too hard and cold.

Last night was New Year's Eve. I got food here, and the bond between the staff and, I think, the owner (a woman with a ponytail) was very pleasant. It's just a shame that it doesn't benefit the products I ordered. Before everything was packed, while we were chatting, I already had the feeling this wouldn't be a hot meal at home. But my daughter wouldn't let me comment. When everything was finally ready, they discovered they also needed ice cream and milkshakes. You guessed it, that took a while, and the now lukewarm snacks and fries just had to wait. Now for the comments I'm probably going to get. No, it wasn't busy at the time; three customers and two phone orders while five people were "working." It's a shame about the almost one hundred euros we spent.

Got food from here again today. And I agree with others that the quality has declined with the change of ownership. After waiting half an hour, I noticed when I got home that my hamburger was black. Luckily, a new one was delivered fairly quickly...but it had a nasty aftertaste. Sadly, it was the last time for us.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has gone from 5 stars to 1 since the previous owners took over. We tried it several times, but the food quality is subpar. The fries are hard, chewy, and fried to a dark color, and the snacks aren't warm enough. The phone isn't always answered, orders are incomplete or delivered far too late. The staff runs around without any oversight and are very friendly with each other while customers are in the restaurant. It's completely gone. Such a shame, because we loved coming here.

Since the takeover, things have gone downhill rapidly. At first, we thought, "They're just starting out, let's give them another chance." Well, that was a mistake. The fries are old, and even the croquette was still cold inside! This was the last time we'll order from them. Such a shame!

The food was bad. The appetizer had a nasty, chemical aftertaste. The fries were okay, but nothing special.

Ordered delivery between 5 and 5:30. We called at 5:30 to ask if it could be delivered 15 minutes later. We told them this wasn't a good idea, as we didn't have much time to eat. Then it was delivered at 6:00.

We've been regular customers for years, and the food has always been delicious, hot, and perfectly cooked. Since the ownership change, the quality has dropped significantly; the salad I always ordered has become a cabbage salad with a single, meager tomato and a negligible amount of dressing. The dishes are prepared in a completely different way. Only the name remains of the good old Foodmaster.

Since the new owner took over, we've had several problems: soggy fries, late/non-delivery, and insufficient delivery. Now, the order wasn't delivered again, and we were treated unfriendlyly on the phone. It's a shame that a good snack bar can fail so badly under new ownership.

This foodmaster was really good EDIT: Seriously, do something about your burgers. I'm now reading about new owners, and it really shows. I had a cheeseburger chicken, what a pathetic piece of chicken it has become, more crust than chicken. And the double cheeseburger used to be truly one of the best burgers on the plate, on a good bun, now a big disappointment. You now just get plain, ah, sesame buns (just act normal), I make that better at home. The loaded fries are good, though. It's good that your products have a price, so make sure you serve decent food.

Returning to my review from earlier this year, the team has improved 90%, perfect.

I ordered overcooked fries, but they were unfortunately completely soft. The goulash croquettes didn't have shredded meat, but rather disgusting square cubes. The noodle dish was undercooked and fell apart when I picked it up. Once, but never again.

Today quickly helped. Delicious fries. Neatly packed. Special items neatly separated and easy to recognize. Very friendly help.

I was there today with my son after 55 minutes in the car we got hungry and ended up here! we ate fries with and a frikandel I chicken shawarma with a very tasty sauce. it was very tasty and the team is well attuned to each other nice atmosphere lovely people what more could you want. I ordered here 4 calf croquettes and 1 of them was goulasche, and that was also burnt. There was no cheese in my CHEESE souffle frikandel was tough and there was onion everywhere. fine for once, not more!

Quality and waiting time have gone way down compared to previous owners. Most staff very inexperienced and unfamiliar. Hopefully this will improve over time.

I can't agree with the bad reviews at all. We ate there today and everything was delicious. Simply delicious fries and just as important, well-baked. Now I hear you thinking that's how it should be. And yes, that's right. But as a transport man, I can tell you that this is simply done well here. As a dessert, a delicious ice cream in the form of a sundae and then with the special Tompouce flavour. Really simply good. Guys, keep it up.

Was looking for a snack bar in the area, a bit skeptical because of the last reviews, but excellent price/quality ratio and friendly staff. In short, if we come around here again, we will definitely come back for the stew. Highly recommended.

Since the previous owners retired, the quality here has gone downhill fast. My online order was supposed to be ready at 17:55, but after waiting an hour (and no clear communication) I finally asked for my money back at 18:55. The team doesn't seem to be attuned to each other at all, and the new owner runs around chaotically without any direction or overview. Very disappointing - this was the last time for us.

We have been ordering food here regularly for years. However, the last few months it has gone downhill dramatically. Deliveries are not a little too late but way too late. There were also 4 baskets of fries hanging above the fryer, went back in to warm up. We also noticed this with an online order. Everything was so bad that we had stomach problems (heartburn). Fries greasy and too dark. Bear bite with burnt onions. And so on. Too bad, it was always good. Delivery also took more than twice as long as usual.

Unfortunately we have to conclude that the friendly previous owners have started their well-deserved retirement. The quality is immediately not as before. We always came here with great pleasure to eat fries, unfortunately that is a thing of the past. Half cold fries and snacks... long wait... and also no gluten-free snack available. We have been ordering from Foodmaster Buurstede for years. This time the order was not delivered complete and the fries were almost cold, which can happen from time to time. We called and received a friendly lady on the phone, but in the background we heard that they did not believe our complaint. This was the last time!

Incredibly good Sparibs, I can't remember the last time I had such good ribs. Had it delivered, food was still hot and the fries looked like they just came out of the fryer. Thank you!

I was here last Friday. In terms of food, the frikandel fries and the hamburger with mushrooms and onions are very good and freshly prepared. much better than the neighbor next door where they serve a raw hamburger, and get angry if you say the hamburger is undercooked. case also very clean and tidy. toilets very small but neatly clean. The only downside is that if you order 2 fries, they ask you which fries this snack belongs to for each snack you order, and then the lady behind the cash register forgets to write down your entire order. which means you have to list everything again. quite annoying and especially because she initially interrupted you with every snack ordered. while you are ordering, therefore 4 stars and not 5 stars.
