Cafetaria Meppel (Oosterboer) in Oosterboer

We arrived just before closing time, but that was no problem. Deliciously fresh (I think in-house) noodles with delicious pork tenderloin. Friendly staff.

I ordered fries with mayonnaise and a frikandel speciaal. Simple, you might think. But what I received was nothing short of perfection. The fries weren't just golden yellow; every stick gleamed like freshly minted gold, with a soft core and a crispy edge that broke like precious, thin porcelain between my teeth. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, as if texture had been elevated to an art form here. And then that frikandel speciaal. I have words, but they fall short. The balance between sauce, onion, and that perfectly prepared frikandel was sublime above all else. The sauce lay over it like brushstrokes on a 17th-century artwork, the onion provided sharpness and life, and everything fell exactly into place. Every bite was a moment of intense pleasure. This wasn't just a quick bite; this was metaphysical. This was the True, the Beautiful, and the Good speaking to me—a revelation, as if a symphony of taste was taking place in my mouth and everyone was invited. 5/5

Way too expensive, fries with mayonnaise and onions with a can of cola €12.50. And on top of that, the fries were inedible.

The best snack bar in Meppel and the surrounding area. Always good, and if there's a problem, they act quickly.

Fantastic döner baguette🔥 Cafetaria Meppel is highly recommended!

Better not order online here, you'll wait over an hour (all the fault of the chicken nuggets that take 3 minutes to fry) and then they forget part of the order... everyone's already finished their food and then finally the pizza arrives... While the staff were half-baked, the fries were thankfully not.

The cafeteria is truly a great place. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to chat and offer helpful service. The food is also truly amazing, my favorite being the Black Jack, a 100% beef burger. The menu is extensive, so you'll never get bored. In short, highly recommended.

Cafetaria Oosteboer has the perfectly fried fries! Crispy, and just the right flavor. No soggy fries, but really good quality. The selection is super extensive, so there is always something new to try. The staff is also incredibly friendly, making you feel welcome immediately. My favorite remains the loempiedel, but if you are really hungry: go for the Bereboot. That isn't a snack, that is an experience. A bowl of fries with two bear claws and a Pikanto on top. Simply amazing. In short: Cafetaria Oosteboer is highly recommended.

We ordered for 5:30 PM. It is now 7:00 PM and the food still hasn't arrived. Called again a few times and was told twice that it was on its way. It is a real shame that it has to take so long for the food….

Had a delicious meal; it was quiet but the taste was great. Regular fries, farmhouse fries, meatballs, ham on the bone, and the catamaran were delicious. Compliments!!

Next time don't fry the berrehap too black, it was way too hard. The rest went fine.

Order online for pickup before 6:40 PM. It still needs to be made, they didn't start until 6:45 PM. It wasn't busy. I asked for fried onions on my special hamburger bun, but when I got home, they ended up raw.

The regular fries were fried too long, lots of hard pieces. The raspatat was not fried accurately. The fries were stuck together. Not to be repeated.

Always friendly staff and consistent quality!

How do you manage to deliver late every time you order online? Everything can be planned, but apparently, ordering online isn't a good idea.

Nice and polite desk clerk. - We found that price-quality was not in proportion. Too expensive for what you get. We were disappointed with the taste. - Very long line, long wait for your food. There was 1 employee at the counter, while there was a long line elsewhere. We would not immediately recommend Cafeteria Oosterboer to others.

Bamischijf sandwich with satay is to be enjoyed!!!!

Lots of choice, excellent service

Every now and then we have something delivered and we like that! Always on time and well taken care of. The self-made pizza was richly filled and the fries and snacks always tasted excellent. Maybe not the healthiest bite, but tasty!

The Hogestuk beef burger is a flavor explosion in every bite! The tender meat and fresh toppings add a wonderful freshness, and the bun completes the look. This isn't just any burger; it's a true treat for the true meat lover. Highly recommended!

Weekday and takes ages to finish. Never again

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, but it's terrible, the quality is like frozen for 2.50, but maybe they are better in other dishes, by the way, this one is worth 11 euros

The food was a disappointment. It was reheated together with too dark satay sauce. With fried egg that was fried too hot. Mediocre quality of the container with old salad and a compartment with a few pieces of prawn crackers, it was certainly not in the price/quality ratio. Not recommended for me.

If I have some free time on Fridays, I almost always get a healthy sandwich here. Delicious. Started during corona time. Highly recommended.

Not normal! Great service and the best cafeteria I know 👍 The food is always fantastic, especially the pizzas are brilliant. (Big tip) It rarely happens, but if a “mistake” is made, it is resolved quickly and professionally. Like mine this week; I complained because my order (note) was delivered 10 minutes EARLY! Many customers are very happy with that, but I wasn't done with work yet. Actually too tight planning on my part, but that didn't matter. An apology was made and a new, delicious, warm order immediately came my way! What a service 👍👏 Too bad I can only give 5 stars... great tent!! 💪 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10)

Today I enjoyed a delicious cafeteria meal delivered to my home. The order was on time and still warm when I received it. The fries were perfectly cooked: golden brown and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The snacks were also very tasty. The croquettes were well filled and had a tasty ragout. The frikandel was wonderfully tender and the sauce was just right spicy. The portions were also generous. We had more than enough food for two people. The delivery person was friendly and helpful. All in all, I am very satisfied with my experience with this cafeteria. The food was delicious, the service was good and the delivery was fast. I would definitely recommend this cafeteria to anyone looking for a tasty and quick meal. Pros: Good food Good service Fast delivery Generous portions Negatives: No Conclusion: Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tasty and quick cafeteria meal delivered to their home. Only the delivery man with the curls was laughing a little too much

A delicious home-delivered cafeteria meal. Everything was hot, fries perfect, snacks tasty and portions generous. Delivery fast and friendly. Definitely recommended! So delicious that I suddenly felt like singing a frikandel song. But I restrained myself, the neighbors probably thought I was loud enough while enjoying the feast!

Fantastic beef burger and super fast delivery.

I like the snacks there, but the fries are not to my taste. The noodles are not noodles but more like thick noodles

received lukewarm fries last time. today the entire order never arrived. no longer available by phone after 8 a.m., while delivery seems to continue until half past 8. The next day we received a friendly email in which the error was acknowledged and compensation was offered. so neatly done.

Noodles not tasty, thick white strings, it looked like a pot of noodles

Great cafeteria, with good price-quality ratio, and fast delivery.

Cafeteria Oosterboer is a true culinary gem! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious snacks. The tasty fries and various menu options make it the ideal place for a tasty meal. An absolute must for anyone who loves good food! 🌟

Great service. Easy website. Hogestuk burger definitely recommended.

Fantastic pizza and delivered quickly, great!

Nice service, fantastic pizzas!

Very expensive! Especially for the almost raw (!!!) fries! Discarded at home. What a disappointment. The special frikadellen are very small in size, with little generous topping. Too bad, because you pay the top price here.

They had difficulty handling the crowds, with several customers calling to say something was missing or not good. The food was also cold.

Friendly neat service. Delicious food and cozy atmosphere

Table service is really minimal to non-existent and you have to take orders yourself.

Just picked up an order here. But when I look at the price, I think they are expensive for what you get. In addition, my pizza was still raw

Food is fine, but eating it there is a different story. People who ordered after us received their food earlier. And what if we had ordered something complicated? But for a snack bar, 2 special hamburgers, special frikadel and croquette should not be that difficult. And it wasn't very busy with takeout either. In the future, I'll eat at home again.

Top cafeteria! Fast delivery and a very wide range.

There are dirty tables and chairs outside.I’ve cleaned it myself. The worker of this Cafetaria, the tall man,was rude to us. It’s better to order food from another restaurant.

I love the fries and the satay sauce too they just sometimes forget something

What delicious fries we ate again.

The fries and snacks here are really delicious! They really excel as a snack bar! The kapsalon, hamburgers and fried chicken are also very tasty. I'm not really happy with the other meals (pizza, satay, noodles). Ordering via the website is easy. Delivery is fast and the delivery person is always friendly. Pickup is also quick and easy and you can sit down while you wait.

What delicious thick pizzas you have. Those Italian chains can't match that.. 😀👍

Good portions of fries for a fair price. Fast service and friendly staff. In short, everything you want from a snack bar.

Delicious twister fries, super fried in mega clean fat. Friendly service and people are even welcomed and waved goodbye by name. Super clean cafeteria: an example for many.

We ordered ice cream and we got the wrong cone, the soft ice cream was watery and there was whipped cream IN the cone.

For the umpteenth time the order was wrong again. When we order something, we are already thinking about what is missing or what did not go well. This happens to several customers as can be read in other reviews. Next time order food somewhere else. 2 days later... Correction of this negative review.. very nice, money back received!

De Oosterboer has few options to get a bite to eat. Cafeteria Oosterboer has a surprisingly diverse offering. Not just snack. Also pizza. Wraps. Good coffee. And everything tasteful.

Been coming there for years. Excellent quality.

Super service, an error was made with an order so it was placed on the wrong day, but this could be changed. Food always tastes good when I place an order.

Good price-quality, nice staff and usually ready quickly.

Delicious fries and lots of choice, just great!

Something regularly goes wrong with the order. Food cold!!!!

Really bad, I have already had to wait 20 minutes longer for an order with an agreed time and today I pick it up myself at an agreed time, it turns out that they still have to start with the order and then when I get home it turns out that it is not correct really BAD, they don't see me anymore !!!

Great cafeteria, nice people and also a good website for ordering online! Large portions and delicious crispy fries!! The home delivery service arrived on time and everything was nice and warm!!

The fries are really very tasty and remain very good during transport. The beef burgers are perfect and the salad is also very tasty, but in my opinion they could use a little more salad dressing, all in all a completely good meal, delicious!!

Ordered for two people.. small bag, 😠 and dirty slipper.. Anyway, back to the Haveltermade for fries

Always good food, value for money, the fries are delicious, we can't finish them for 3 people

I'm disappointed again 😡 If there is no customer in the shop, is it really that difficult to fry a croquette that is soft and not warm?

Clean cafeteria, friendly staff. Always good food.

Good food. Only occasionally something is forgotten about the order, but they will deliver it promptly.

Ordered: pizza, egg ball, croquette Pizza and egg ball were lukewarm Croquette was stone cold!! We live 3min. (by bicycle) from the cafeteria

Modern cafeteria, eaten several times. The home-made pizzas are also highly recommended!

Great cozy luxury snack bar... cozy seats.

Ordered online, did not receive the completely correct order. fries were no longer warm.

Extensive menu, good prices and nice employees

Most expensive, no salt, but great taste, low quality, only plus point: satay sauce was okay

Cozy, good food and friendly employees. Highly recommended

always good and also a nice place to sit. Busy sometimes.

Delicious food and ready fairly quickly, also a top cafeteria

Once again our order had not arrived correctly. Things went wrong right from the start in the cafeteria. I repeated the order 4 times. Unfortunately this was not enough. When we got home we received a plate that we had not ordered and there was no meat in it. This is not what we ordered. This was not the first time, by the way. So far the orders we have placed have not been good. No more cafeteria Oosterboer for us for the time being?...

Great pizzas delivered on time. Friendly and very correct.

Just a very good, neat cafeteria. With really tasty hamburgers.

Lots of choice and good quality

I am a clown and have a small business

Let's not call each other sissies. There's really nothing wrong with this. Delicious!!!! Chicken satay with rasp fries!!! Recommended

Been coming here since 2000. Always good food and top service!! Catamaran😍😜👍

Fries were not good and took a very long time and I received the wrong things than I had specified

The burgers are highly recommended

Moving, so an easy snack every now and then! Excellent friendly service here and the pizza was fresh off the press, nothing wrong with that!

A clean cafeteria with good price/quality ratio. Great.👍

Are they trying to make pizzas now...

Always quality and friendliness!

Cafeteria looks neat and the food is good
