Cafetaria Mercurius in Wijk 03 Twekkelerveld - T.H.T.

I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation for an outstanding establishment where I have purchased food on several occasions. I believe that when someone prepares food for us, proper thanks are in order. Although I am generally not a proponent of eetcafés, I am making an exception in this instance to highly recommend this place to everyone. The staff employed here are exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. My personal recommendation is the cheeseburger served with French fries. They offer very reasonable prices and maintain high standards in everything they do. Should you find yourself in the area, I strongly encourage you to try their cheeseburger. May God bless you.

The food was really tasty, banana milkshake a bit too sweet. We arrived at 12:10 and the table was just filthy, dirty windows, dirty doors. For me, a reason not to eat there again, too bad!

Entered in this cafe to charge my phone since I'm traveling. After reading the reviews online, wanted to try the famous homemade burguer everyone's saying good things about but it was sold out. Went for the fries with the stew. Smelled delicious and tasted homemade. Lekker!!

Had a large order delivered for a party. Great communication, and the food was absolutely delicious!

I waited over an hour and a half. The first time I called, they hung up. When I called back, I was told my food was on its way and would arrive. I had fries with a frikandel (fried sausage). I wouldn't recommend ordering from here; it's better to pick it up. But the fries were delicious.

We order regularly because they're relatively close and deliver super fast. The homemade fries are delicious, and the snacks are also very good. Always satisfied, and the people are super friendly!

The tastiest burgers in Enschede! What a great place! This cafeteria prepares without a doubt the tastiest burgers I have ever eaten in Enschede. Every bite is full of flavour and you can tell right away: here is someone with passion and knowledge of his trade in the kitchen. The young man who runs the place knows exactly what he is doing and you can taste that in everything he serves. Fresh, well-seasoned and prepared with care. Simply class - absolutely recommended!

A messy business, there was business everywhere There was also a cat or cat walking through the shop, which was not really hygienic The fries were edible, but the croquette was not

I love this place. Eccelent flavors in the burger, great sauce for the fries. The fries are prefectly prepared and cooked. The chicken sandwich is incredible. The in house made buns are out of this world level good. I cooked for twenty years and this place blows my mind. I'll probably eat here again tomorrow.

Had a delicious crunchy chicken burger

The “homemade” brioche bun could be squeezed with fat, the “chicken thigh fillet” was tough and dry, it had no taste, the mayonnaise was sour, the guacamole was neon green. I took a small bite of the chicken and then walked away. Furthermore, I do not assume that I will receive a compensation/refund. *Update: they indeed refuse a refund and do not agree to a refund on behalf of home delivery, lol.

It was delicious. 😊 Just what we needed.

Worst stuff ever, if you want food poisoning order here

I've ordered dinner from here several times and it was always a great success. There is a wide range of snacks and the homemade fries are the best in the area. Even if you have some leftovers, they are still super tasty straight from the oven the next day, which is very rare in cafeterias.

Waited 2 hours for our order. We called them to be told it was ready and the delivery person was taking it. Finally 10 minutes later we were called back to be told that the order was still there and the delivery person should be almost on his way. Unfortunately they didn't offer any extras to make up for the wait, it could have been something small like a can of coke or something like that.

They told me to come in 20 minutes, when I arrived after 20 minutes I had to wait another 30 minutes. they forgot again….

Chicken satay menu with home-made fries instead of fries. 1 euro more for a small amount of fries with the skin completely soaked with frying fat, very dirty. Tough chicken, 4 skewers and very little salad. Luckily I didn't get sick from it. Never again

Modest place without too many pretensions and close to the stadium for a quick sandwich and a beer. It has the advantage that it is open late, a rarity in these parts.

Best fries in Enschede (get the homemade ones). Snacks well prepared, and the Mercurius vegetarian burger is very tasty (the vegetarian fake meat one is better than the veggie burger). My go to place to order from. The people there work very hard and the delivery staff is friendly. I have visited once on location and it was clean and hygienic. Though it is clearly a delivery/take-away place you can sit if you need. Order from this family run snack bar and you will be pleasantly surprised. (get the home made fries I swear) Edit: Omg, after a lot of orders they give you personal messages. This time I got a free ice cream too

Kipsate war zart und die Soße sehr lecker , süß -würzig. Pommes war auch sehr gut im Geschmack, Salat frisch. ❤️ Het eten was goed, vers en van goede smaak, graag nog één keer ...😉 Bezorgtijd was snel en de Bezorger heel vriendelijk 👍☺️

Burger was duur, maar opzich wel lekker. Lever tijd was 1uur en 20 min. Frietjes waren okay.

2 sterren voor de vriendelijke en snelle bezorging, maar ik ben misselijk geworden van het eten, kipsate smaakte echt slecht, patat was veelste vet en gewoon niet lekker. Ik bestel hier niet weer.

Altijd top, ook snelle bezorging via Thuisbezorgd, en heel fijn dat ze ook een uitgebreid veganistisch assortiment hebben, maakt het makkelijker samen lekker een patatje te bestellen

Cafeterias are supposed to be simple. Simple foods, wide variety and cheap prices. This place is all that and with homely happy faces. It is set a bit away from the road so there's really no sounds. I found the place very cozy and the food delicious.
