Cafetaria Ugala in Wijk 06 Nijmegen-Zuid

Poor service. Online it says it's open until midnight. At 11:40 PM, I was at the checkout to place my order. As soon as the staff heard I'd paid, they started yelling at me to take it with me because they were closed. Then the salon was even worse, and it never dried out again!

Last night, a friend and I stopped by well before closing time to grab a quick bite. After ordering, we were sent away to eat our food outside like some junkie. We ended up taking the food home, it was cold. It went straight in the trash. I'll never go back. Employees want to make money but not work. SHAME ON YOU!

I don't know what kind of foul smell is in there, but it stinks terribly! And they're pretty stingy with those sauces.

This makes me happy again. A cafeteria/doner kebab/pizzeria, etc., that immediately makes you want to have a delicious meal here (or later at home). At the entrance, you can place your order on a tablet, but you can also go to the counter where various screens display snacks and even entire meals. It was quiet during my visit, but there was a lot of baking and packaging going on. Presumably pre-orders or home delivery. This recently renovated and significantly expanded restaurant looks neat and clean. Well-organized display cases clearly display fresh produce. And as I said, this makes me happy. The special friekadel (fried meatballs) tasted even better because of that. I'll definitely be back.

The food isn't spectacular. The XXL frikandel is very thick, and the fries are mediocre. The service in the cafeteria itself is truly terrible. I was addressed passively/aggressively and unfriendly by the staff. It's a real shame.

I recently had a kapsalon here, and it was absolutely delicious! Nice, clean interior! (Worth the two years, anyway). Very friendly staff, always give the kids a lollipop. Highly recommended!

Got a kapsalon twice. Worthless meat, completely burnt. Sauce nowhere to be found. Fries were dry. It's a sad situation that they see the meat and still throw it in.

I didn't like that kapsalon at all. I ordered it, it was very expensive, a small kapsalon is €9.50, but the salad was very small. There was very little meat. The fries weren't salad either, they were just not nice and dry. I didn't like that at all. I'll never go back there again.

Paid €12.50 for a large durum with extra feta. No feta to be seen, no lettuce, no tomato, no cucumber, no onion. This was exactly the same with the sticky kapsalon with limp old fries. The ice cream from Lidl was the only tasty thing tonight.

Nicely kept place with friendly staff. We ordered Durum Döner and a Pizza Marinara (fish) pizza. We have had better pizza, but Durum Döner was fantastic!

Whenever we are in the area we always go there for something to eat, tasty and quick.

First time eating there with daughter and niece. It was delicious. Service was perfect. Very clean.

Well-visited restaurant. Very tasty dishes. The guests from the surrounding area and me as a German. I recommend Kapsalon for good eaters. Huge portion. But the other dishes are also 100% really tasty. I often go there to eat. The people are so nice there.

Had a large schorma dish for 18 euros and the sauce was super small for 1.50 euros and at most cafeterias schorma is free with a drink, small bottle of drink for 3.50 euros was lost 26 euros with sauces and schorma was baked to a crisp and looked like pieces of waste, I will never go there again, it used to be a top tent.

It’s a nice restaurant with some respectable people who work there, the food tastes good, the place is clean and the prices are reasonable.

Just picked up a large hairdresser but when I got home the fries were not fully cooked. I called a few times but there was no answer. It's not the quality I'm used to and for 14 euros it could have used a little more meat, which is a shame.

What a beautiful and cozy snack bar! I am a postal worker in Hatert and have regularly cycled past this cafeteria on the way to work, but had not eaten there before and I was curious about the renovation. Last Monday my boyfriend and I decided to have something to eat here while out for a walk. We both ordered the same thing: a strawberry milkshake, a dish with four types of meat, fries, garlic sauce and salad. What generous portions! Really a mountain on top of the (already very large) board. We fought bravely, but in the end we couldn't quite finish. I then walked to the front for a container so that we could take the leftovers with us, after which the very sweet man behind the counter asked us to hand over our plates and offered to pack everything for us. Not much later we were handed a bag containing the leftovers. It was neatly packaged and we were even given extra garlic sauce! We were satisfied (and very full) customers. Fantastic atmosphere, great service and lots of (and tasty) food. We will definitely come back when we are in the area. Recommended!

Unfortunately no positive response. Yesterday at 11.50 pm I arrived at this Ugala. The door was open and I wanted to order at the counter. The man told me that they were closed, to which I said; I thought you were open until midnight. I received no response to that. When I told him that I had already called from the car 10 minutes earlier, I received the answer that he had been busy helping customers. I could make do with that. No more Ugala Hatertseweg for me

Been coming here for years and the quality here is always top notch. Döner always tastes fresh and of high quality. After the renovation it has become a beautiful place. Keep it up guys!

Very cozy, good food, reasonable prices

I just took my first bite of their döner kapsalon, and I didn't know what happened to me... It was an explosion of different delicious flavors in my mouth. Perfect melted cheese with well done döner and that perfect amount of sauce they used is delicious! Snack bar as a snack bar should be. Wide range, long opening hours and super friendly staff. Food is of excellent quality. All kinds of things are available for snacking here. And that not only makes this tent a lot of fun, but gives it almost cult status. The only downside is that there are few parking spaces. Sometimes you have to park a little further away.

Never take more than 15 minutes before they close. I always order here, good quality. However, they leave it at that.

A tip is to have the machine cut the Shawarma and kebab a little thicker so that the meat does not become too dry so quickly when fried. Everything is always tasty and fine with you, only the shawarma is often dry and that's a shame because the taste is perfect 👌🏻 the case turned out very nice.

poor customer service and a sad owner who has too big a head!! They do not appreciate their regular customers and give you a big mouthful because you want to order a hair salon with a small adjustment. If they make a mistake in the order, I tell the gentleman very politely that a mistake has been made and they react very negatively to me that I am difficult and that I am no longer welcome...huh? After having eaten with them so often in recent years, the response is like this. And that I should just accept it and not say anything. I had a lot of respect for these people and always cleaned their table after eating, but I am completely fed up with their ungrateful and very strange behavior, I did not expect this from them! Really a shame but never again!!

Was already a household name after the renovation, they played it out on all fronts, game over, this is where you need to be 💯

It takes 15-20 years to renovate your business and still not have all the i's and i's are crossed. I think it's great and the next big middle finger to the customers as long as we make money. It is even more atmospheric than McDonalds with a tangle of gray brown, horizontal and vertical lines in the interior. After two minutes you are already completely crazy. Fortunately, the fancy new ordering post does provide distance from the appearanceless staff, which limits contact to a minimum. I wonder how long it will take before they completely neglect this renovated place, it can't take as long as the renovation itself. Good luck guys.

If you have stopped using the Beckers brand, why do you still sell it to customers? As much as 2.75 each for questions that are very dirty and that you no longer even sell. The gravy of the meatballs is the same story, why isn't it tasted first before you serve it to the customer? If you had seen the camera images, you would have seen from our faces that it was dirty. If it is an incident, it seems logical to me that you refund the money, the prices are also very high and everyone has to work hard for it and if you go to a cafeteria and have to pay a lot of money, you also expect to get good food . Frikandels of very poor quality and asking 2.75 for them. They are the cheapest of the cheapest frikandels you can get. The meatballs from gravy are very salty and the satay sauce was tasteless. A mini bowl of fries with mayo for 3.30 euros. Paid almost 23 euros for this mess. Never again ugala.

The renovation is nice, but unfortunately the döner doesn't taste good!

The new store is neat and nicely decorated, but the light in the entire store is moody and too bright. This light is good behind the counter, but definitely not for the whole place. Slightly less bright or a warmer color of light would give the business a much better appearance, even from the outside it would look like a place where you want to eat and not just pick up something and then leave.

We ordered capsalones and fries specials! They were hot and very tasty! My husband and I loved the Frickendale too! The waiters were all very efficient and served us very quickly despite the queue! We will definitely use this restaurant again!

I naturally smile when I eat Ugara's food. When my wife saw me like this, she looked at me strangely, but when she ate the food, she smiled too and in the end we both ate with a smile on our faces. Thank you for all your delicious food, Ugala.

Such a screen seems annoying, but it works fine

Ugala is no longer what it used to be, the quality has deteriorated considerably and after having to pay 8 euros for 2 portions of potato slices, I'm done with it.

Very good customer service and delicious food

I happened to be in Nijmegen and decided to get a doner sandwich at Cafetaria Ugala. Upon entering I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the place. I noticed that everything looked neat, which is always a good sign. What really made my experience memorable was the extraordinary empathy of the employees. When leaving the cafeteria I felt truly understood and valued as a customer. I have not often experienced this kind of genuine attention in comparable dining establishments. In short, my visit to Cafetaria Ugala was a breath of fresh air. Not only was the food delicious, but the attentive and empathetic approach of the staff made it an unforgettable experience. I will definitely come back and recommend this to others!

Perfect snack bar with good staff, i ordered regular doner and kip doner with my boyfriend. It was the tastiest kip doner i have ever had in the Netherlands for the past 4 months. The most perfect thing about it was the chicken (kip) itself. 11/10 recommended.

The atmosphere was not great. Forgotten the coat, they were going to put it away, but they gave it to someone else and then also claimed that the coat did not belong to my son, not nice!!! Even though the food was good, we won't go there again!
