Cafetaria van Lier in Wijk 13 Venlo-Oost-Noord

Frietje ala was delicious!! Went all the way to Venlo especially for it!

For the umpteenth time, the order is incomplete.

Received the wrong order Received thin fries instead of thick ones Received chicken fingers instead of chicken nuggets

Unfortunately, the order was incomplete (frikandel speciaal) and my preferences regarding the burger (without tomato and without onion) were not taken into account. Unfortunately, there was still tomato on it, which I could not eat due to an allergy.

Delicious fresh baguette sandwiches. Tidy place, clean, and good, friendly service.

We were here for the first time today and will definitely be back! Delicious snacks and great ice cream! Friendly staff and a fantastic selection! Highly recommended!

Very tasty fries and snacks, lots of choices. We come here regularly for takeout but also to enjoy a nice portion of fries inside. Great place, something for everyone.

Quality has deteriorated significantly Ordered shashlik platter and satay platter Unfortunately, no chicken breast anymore, just pressed chicken A really cheap version Tables were dirty and the tablecloths were a bit messy It was busy, but that shouldn't come at the expense of quality A shame

Carefully check the order to ensure it is correct.

Ordered 5 items, 2 mistakes, 1 not delivered. Charged for 1 even though not used. To file a complaint, you have to drive back because the phone is dead. Staff respond uninterestedly. Poor service.

Perfect location for a delicious dinner.

Delicious fries and good service. Staff very friendly.

A must-visit for us every time we're in Venlo! Fantastic and delicious gluten-free options (celiac-safe!!!). Excellent service and very convenient parking. Highly recommended!

One of the best cafeterias in the wider area. Many unique dishes.

Always delicious food and friendly staff.

Best fries in Venlo. Top service.

Had a tasty vegan croquette, fries with homemade gypsy sauce, and a blueberry slush puppy. Nice modern chip shop, very spacious. It got quite busy after 4:30 PM on Saturday.

We have already eaten there three times, but the frikandel speciaal has been brought out wrong three times; really very bad.

Despite the crowds, you are served quickly and friendly. You can enjoy a nice meal there, but of course, takeout is definitely a good option too. The selection is huge and the taste is perfect. Crispy fries and delicious snacks.

Good food, and if you order a set menu with schnitzel, it is highly recommended, and at a good price too.

New owner or not - great fries and awesome zuurvlees

The food was okay, but the staff has been so unfriendly since the place was taken over!! We're done with it!!

A delicious snack bar with a great atmosphere. Located in a quiet area, not too far from the hustle and bustle of Venlo's city center. A must for anyone wanting a tasty snack before or after shopping. Very friendly staff and a wide selection of food and drinks. The soft-serve ice cream is also highly recommended.

I have gotten food a few times, but since a new owner, the quality of the products has declined.

A regular chip shop we love going to; ordering in advance is always on time (possibly a 5-minute margin, but nothing bad at all). The snacks are always top-notch, but I feel like it's not only getting more expensive, but the fries are also getting worse. Normally we would order fries for 3 people, and now we're quickly at 4, which might be too little. Plus, the fries need to cook longer; lately I've been getting raw fries and even fries that aren't even properly cooked. Quality has gone down a bit in that respect… The snacks are always good though, so that's great. It all sounds very intense, but as the first sentence said; I love going there.

We've been getting fries here once a week for years, but lately they've been dripping with grease. Almost inedible! What a shame, they used to be the best fries in Venlo!

Simply top-notch, highly recommended 👍🏽

Nice owner, friendly staff, very tasty food, highly recommended 👍

The order of 35 euros was not satisfied very bad

Picked up fries and such. Ordered quickly, ready quickly. And delicious! Good!

Simply the best snack bar in Venlo, delicious fries, tasty schnitzel, or Dutch specialties like frikandels or kipcorn. The price-to-size ratio is also excellent! My wife and I usually share a portion of fries and then each order a few bitterballen or a meat croquette.

Large selection of tasty snacks

Good snack bar, when we are in the area we eat something here

Webshop is a bit clumsy = could be better

Unfortunately, no fries again....

The black chicken was next to the container in a paper bag, just like the pickled meat. It was cold and didn't look appetizing. It looked like the fries and sauce had been thrown in. I don't think that was the intention, but everything costs a fortune these days. My viandel was rock hard and overcooked. I tried calling, but they didn't answer, which is a shame. Update: I was contacted, and everything was resolved properly and more! They take you seriously and don't just apologize, they actually do something about it. That deserves respect. Thank you for the excellent solution. See you soon!

Great cafeteria in our neighborhood!

We have been coming here every week for over 15 years. The service is great. Ordering online is easy and it is usually ready on time. Unfortunately, we notice that there is sometimes a difference in the quality of the fries. These are then fried too hard and it looks like old frying fat. The funny thing is that this is not always the case. We also had a fries special last week and there was hardly any sauce on it, while the week before the frikandel special had far too many onions and sauce. Too bad because this has been better in the past. Nevertheless, we continue to come and enjoy the fries snacks.

Above all, excellent food, exceptionally friendly staff, and excellent value. Compliments to Tom, keep up the good work.

New owners are doing their very best, keep it up guys!

Very nice ambience, delicious food, would love to come back

I'm amazed at how well this snack bar is doing. The food was delicious. The hamburger was perfect, as was the black chicken in sauce. I'll be eating this black chicken from now on; I've never had it this good before!

Beautiful snack bar and lunchroom Everything was well taken care of.

One of the better chip shops in Venlo.

The number 1 cafeteria in Venlo

Delicious fries special eaten here. New owner is doing well!

Fries as hard as concrete, refried at least 3 to 4 times, a mountain of satay and mayo on top, you can't say U against that. In addition, a snack upside down in the container with 700 liters of mayo on top, the snack almost floated out of the store. How this store has deteriorated since Peter left, very unfortunate! Immediately got food here for the last time

Fries are soggy and hollow inside also the fries are lukewarm. Too much sauce poured over the fries. Last time I went there. Since the takeover the business has gone downhill a lot.

Nice Restaurant with delicius dishes. I can only recomend this.

Top snack bar! Always worth a stop for delicious Frikandell and fries. 😊👍

The decline in quality is disappointing

Tasty fries and lots of choice in snacks. This was a review from 2013. I don't like the factory fries here anymore. Often floury. A while ago they also had artisan fries, but that was short-lived. Those tasted good. The snacks are tasty.

Worthless, sitting around scratching their hair with their hands, dirty. Hair not tied together. Expensive and long wait. Don't like the snacks. Shame

Been coming here for years. Recently taken over, brown fries and a mega soggy, limp croquette. Faded glory.

I had, among other things, fries with mushroom sauce, fries, cold, with a few teaspoons of sauce and half an old mushroom cut into 3 pieces.... so rubbish bin unfortunately for 4.80 euros. Knaked sausage for 2.80 euros but given to dog, he normally likes it, but now he looked at me and said he would eat it himself... so ditto rubbish bin... don't say anything quickly.... but it was a shame! Fries war from stepdaughter sent to Russia, can wage war there🤮 Never again

Apparently taken over just like Gashoes. Fries fried brown. Old fat, we think. Very disappointed. Snacks were reasonable but probably also fried in old fat. The last time we order fries houses in Venlo. Back to decent and fresh frying at home!

Fries were really cold and my daughter had to throw up from her chicken nugets and frikandels and her sauce was open everything was gone and my corn rod was not a rod it was just cut into pieces and that was a whole day's work. (Never eat at a snake bar again the 2nd time)

Unfortunately, the order is also not ready at the agreed time for the new owner

Once again, of course, we had a delicious meal 👍

Very nice place with delicious food and friendly staff.

The food is tasty, especially the pickled meat fries, there is a lot of choice, the staff is friendly, so nothing to complain about!

Super tasty, fair price and very, very friendly. The store itself is clean and modern

Large selection and very friendly staff.

The fries were double fried (hard), too bad, the rest was fine

Delicious food, fries were fine. Even though it was busy, we got our food quickly.

Very nice place, delicious food

It is quite a popular chip shop. But unfortunately it wasn't the first time that the snacks were burnt or that the fries were tough (old) and lukewarm. Not recommended. Unfortunately I was able to throw the special fries in the bin. Bah bah.

Ate here several times, simply good and tasty. Still.

Tasty food and good service. Nice seating areas where you can eat. You can order online or simply.

Ordered a Frikandel Batavia and you get a frikandel special (mayo, curry and onions) with satay sauce and bean sprouts, which is not stated in the order list. Way too much sauce and a cold frikandel because of the toppings. Never again!

Whenever I'm in the mood for authentic Dutch snacks, my top choice in Venlo is this friture. On my latest visit, I indulged in a delightful assortment that included frietjes special, satekroket, kaaskroket, and filet americain. Each item was delicious, highlighting the quality and freshness I've come to expect here. The parking situation is also remarkably convenient, which is a significant plus, making it easy to stop by whenever the craving strikes. This friture is definitely my go-to spot in Venlo for a quick, satisfying bite that never disappoints. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I highly recommend dropping by for some of the best traditional Dutch snacks around.

Super efficient ordering service, both online and on site very extensive range Friendly staff

Super tasty food and easy to order online, always ready on time👍👍

Very neat and tasty fries place

Delicious snacks Highly recommended

Very nice cafeteria where you can eat or get food. Ordering online via mobile is a bit cumbersome. Order on site at the counter or via an ordering column, which is easy. Recommended

Super chip shop, tasty fresh stuff, friendly staff

To put it mildly, the best chip shop in Venlo. Always good fries, good snacks, good portions of onion and sauce with the frikandel special. Simply great.

Got fries yesterday, unfortunately the fries were limp and not well done. Pity. This is what you would expect from a cafeteria that has a good reputation.

We ate very well here and were served very friendly. When we are back in Venlo, we will definitely stop by here again. Better than in the city.

Best cafeteria in Venlo and you will see that from the crowds. If you don't have the patience to wait a while on busy days in the evening, you should just make fries at home. It's definitely worth it. It is convenient that you can also order your order online and then pick it up at an agreed time.

Good tent food is available in rush hour with at least 10 people on the table!

Large Portions Hoorrrr, and Delicious.

Fries with goulash were great. A truly exceptionally modern facility for a fast food restaurant.

Very nice thing It's just a pity that the order is not always correct and that everything is just thrown in a bag or box. If you order fries with a sauce on them, a bag of fries will be thrown on top. I personally don't find good services. I've experienced this a few times now. SHAME

The best food I have ever tasted!! Especially the halal frikandelen😍

The best halal frikandel I have ever tasted!!!

Fries are more than obvious here.

I was in Venlo's best chip shop. 5 🌟 in all areas. Great ambience, great food, large selection and friendly staff - would be happy to come back!

Super modern. Nice facility. Lots and lots of choice! Really great chip shop. Unfortunately you didn't have any kibbeling.

Thank you for other reviews that brought this restaurant to our attention. Quite inconspicuously located in a residential area. Very nice staff. Very clean and well maintained. Frikandel speciaal, bitterballen and fries with mayo. Everything fresh and super tasty. Also a recommendation from us.

We had a lovely meal tonight and the staff was very friendly

Clean and tidy, friendly help Price was a bit on the high side, but that's okay, I'll definitely come back again

Good price/quality, friendly and tidy

Delicious and lots of it! (Delicious fries goulash!)

It was tasty and very big. The Frikandel XXL is 35cm long. Extra mayonnaise is also a large portion.

Order by telephone and always fresh rolls! A big 10!

Great chip shop! The Frietei and the hamburgers are particularly outstanding. If you are very hungry, you can also try the Frikandel XXL.

Top chip shop. What was once a small shop has now become a large one. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Fries and Frikandel special are simply great 😋 located in a remote settlement. It's worth a visit! Card payment possible.

Not friendly employees, order was made incorrectly, it was not arranged and we had to deal with it. Was rudely shown the door because I wanted my placed order. So the customer is certainly NOT king here.
