Caribbean Swing in Rotterdam Centrum

Crappy service. I'll never go back there again. You're closed. Didn't even let me know. I had confirmation. What did I drive all the way here for? The food is delicious, but the service is 0.

Awful service. I ordered online through their website well ahead of time. Got to the restaurant at 12:55 (their poster says that they open at 12:00), it looked as if the place hadn’t been used for years. I tried to call but only got answered after the 3rd try with the question “who is this?”. I explained that I had ordered, payed and got a confirmation but that it seems that they’re closed. He told me very vaguely to send the receipt for a refund, which I did. But obviously never got a response, nor a refund. Do no recommend at all.

We booked this restaurant online for dinner at 18:00 on a weekend and received confirmation for our booking. However when we turned up, they said that although they could see we had a confirmed booking, they could not serve us because they had run out of food! Hence I cannot speak for the quality of the food, but only the immensely horrendous service and booking system!!! We thought we were sorted for dinner but then had to find another place to eat at the last minute.

Great place and food overall but we had to wait around 1 hour to get our food, which was acceptable at that time but it could be a bit faster.

The food at Caribbean Swing, was nice and flavorful. However, it took us 30 mins to get our drinks and we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our food. 👎🏽

All my life living in the Netherlands, i’ve never came across a restaurant that reminded me of home. A taste of that Jerk chicken brought me straight right back to my childhood when my mother was cooking. Thank you for that. It’s been a long time since I went back home and this food brings me a little bit closer.

Wonderful food, the plantain was ripe and sweet. Pretty good sized portions, really nice staff who got the food out speedily so we could make a performance at the theater. Only getting 4 stars because it is a bit on the pricy side.

For the first time going to Caribbean Swing was a great experience. The food was delicious my son kept saying this is the BEST BBQ chicken ever and the rice he didn't wanted it to finish. Thank you very much for this wonderful food experience it was delicious. Thar spice in the chicken is awesome, very delicious.

Super druk en weinig zitplek. Wij hebben met een groep van 4 1,5 uur op ons eten moeten wachten. Uiteindelijk wel vers ontvangen. Bij binnenkomst was er veel rook, muziek stond keihard, en wij werden 2x verplaatst omdat de tafel wankelde. Eten zelf was lekker!

Omdat de Mac Donalds rete slecht is, de laatste tijd, voor wat je moet betalen, ga je toch op zoek naar beter. We kwamen dit pareltje tegen. Als je barbeque kip lekker vind, is dit echt de place to be. Super mals en sappige kipstukken. Friet goed gebakken en nog groente erbij ook. Ik was helemaal happy. Top volgend x weer :) Echt goed en lekker gegeten.

We had the goat and jerk chicken. We moved two years ago to Brussels from Canada and I swear I didn't in now how much I missed Jamaican food until I couldn't have it. Had to go all the way to Rotterdam! The goat was tender-fall-off-the-bone. The jerk chicken was really flavourful and not super spicy. Our food took a bit of time but no more than a sit-down restaurant. Think "island time". The staff was nice and efficient though. We will definitely go back for our island fix.

Heerlijk gegeten in dit kleine restaurant

Erg lekker gegeten maar er wel anderhalf uur op zitten wachten.... Afhaal en Thuisbezorgd gaan voor.

Vlak bij Rotterdam centraal station. Lekker eten en vriendelijke bediening. Dessert staat niet op de kaart, maar vraag zeker aan het personeel of er een nagerecht is. De bolo di cashupete was heerlijk en we hebben genoten van de juices. De homemade limonade was heerlijk! Ik kom hier zeker terug.

Leuke kleine zaak met super vriendelijk personeel. We moeten weer op tijd weg en dat is geen probleem. Maar niet na een overheerlijke geiten curry met als keuze bij gerechten cole sla en rijst met bonen. Flinke portie met een heerlijke pittige smaak. Een blijver voor mijn favoriete lijst.

We had very good curry goat and oxtail stew. Two sides are included. The place also has a nice vibe and they play chill music to create carribean atmosphere. We enjoyed our dinner and can recommend it.

Heerlijk jerk chicken gegeten complimenten aan de chef. Coconut rice en scallop patatos waren heerlijk!!!! Zeker een aanrader!! Kom zeker terug!!!

A genuine taste of the Caribbean … with a side order of macaroni pie and plantain you will leave happy with a full belly. Curried goat and jerk chicken were amazing. Lovely decor, friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Dus ik belde nog om te vragen of de curry geit de echte Jamaicaanse was, krijg ik gewoon doksa… als jullie echt willen weten hoe curry goat gemaakt word ga naar London of YouTube want dit was wel jammer

Go for the Jerk chicken. The marinade is delicious☺️ Same as the goat meat, banana and definitely take the gratin potato!

Amazing food, really get the taste off the Caribbean for sure, I would 100% recommend this restaurant for anyone that enjoys flavours & tasty delicious food, Caribbean style, thank yiu Caribbean Swing for the experience 😋👌🏼👌🏼

It looks like a newly started restaurant and the interior is very basic with open kitchen. The food is great but it took more than an hour to get it on the table. Also noticed that the drinks take time to serve even though it's not very busy. They also don't have everything that's on menu...only few were available as options. I would like to try it again but most probably choose delivery to avoid the idle waiting time.

Lekkere gerechten en leuke Caribische ambiance in hartje Rotterdam. BBQ kip was erg mals en kokosgarnalensoep was heerlijk gekruid. Twee gerechten besteld (daarbij kregen we 4 bijgerechten) met 2 drankjes voor 23 euro pp. Vind ik een goede prijs voor de kwaliteit. Ik vind wel dat het restaurant klanten beter van een fysiek menu of QR-codemenu kan voorzien. We konden het etensmenu alleen op een Instagrampagina bekijken (10e foto van hun profiel en dan rechtsswipen oid). Niet handig als je geen account hebt. Al bij al echt een aanrader als je het warme vakantiegevoel wil gedurende de nu wat koude dagen!

A small restaurant near Rotterdam central station, and close to the city center. They sell things like Jamaican BBQ jerk chicken, rice and beans, coconut curry shrimps, BBQ pork ribs, and cashew cake. Along with your food you can order from a variety of tropical juices. The walls on the inside have been hand painted with much detail by Marloes de Kiewit for that extra tropical feel.

Dit is één van mijn nieuwe favorieten plekken. Ik kom zeker terug! This is one of my new favorite places. I'll definitely come back !

Truly an amazing experience. Me and a friend had the ribs/chicken combi deal with rice and baked banana. The food they serve here is truly outstanding from the rest, great value!!!
