Worthless reservations, but they're bankrupt now, trying to figure out how to get my money back. Phone already turned off, no websites updated, just sad.

What's it like there, does it taste good, is the service good? We can't tell. Our reservation was canceled twice. Poor business practices. The first time, they forgot they were closed for the holidays. It was a deal. The partnership was terminated. That's the reason for the second cancellation. I read in the media that they will be bankrupt as of July 31, 2024.

Did you make a reservation on Sunday? You're faced with a closed door. They didn't even open that day. Strange.

Waardeloos, hadden voor zondag 28 juli gereserveerd om 17 uur. Helaas de zaak was dicht, geen leven of bedrijvigheid. Wil je een teleurstelling voorkomen reserveer dan niet bij dit restaurant.

Delicious food, nice relaxed atmosphere.

We had a deal to book a meal at Carpe Diem today. Upon arrival, it was closed. There was no sign on the door, and no one answered the phone. We ended up eating elsewhere. What a terrible experience!

We went as a group and it was our third time here. They serve yummy cocktails and amazing Mediterranean food. We only made it to round 3 of ordering food as the way it works is that every individual orders four lots of dishes from their menu per round and you only get 4 rounds. So there was 4 of us and every order there was 16 mini dishes that was served. The serves are not huge but just enough to fill you and wanting more. Would definitely recommend.

The food was good, and the service was good too. I just don't agree with the extra charges: 3 small pieces of scampi and an additional €2 for a few other things. It's doable with SD, but I won't be buying it without further ado.

Mijn inziens heeft het restaurant vanaf het begin tot heden flink ingeleverd op service, kwaliteit en het arrangement is aanzienlijk uitgekleed. Achter veel gerechten staat tegenwoordig een bedrag dat je moet bij betalen. Het is een all you can eat concept, maar met veel uitzonderingen. Het bij te betalen bedrag staat klein omschreven achter een gerecht, terwijl het licht ook nog beperkt is. De heerlijke gyros heeft plaatsgemaakt voor knarsende shoarma die hetzelfde smaakt als de shoarma uit de plaatselijke supermarkt. Tapas is doorgestreept, omdat het er niet is. Voor ons was dit de laatste keer, dat we zijn gegaan. De vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid dat is en blijft wel optimaal. Maar na het verwijderen van mijn recensie op een andere site en het laten staan van de goede recensies is het geheel nog misleidendender. We waren met 6 personen en hadden allen dezelfde mening. Jammer.

Food was good, service very poor, they didn't know what they were putting on the table. Had to wait a very long time for the drinks or didn't get anything at all. Very chaotic.

A lot went wrong, some courses were served again, a lot of young staff, i.e. boys aged 13-14. Spacious inside. Quite a nice atmosphere, a bit of a wrong corner of Heerlen. Food was okay, not to have again. So the social deal was great value for money. Young boys not really socially skilled yet, the older ones kept the super vision. Wrong plates were very common

People are surprised when they do not get fresh sea fish in Limburg with a Social Deal. Hello: we are in LIMBURG. And for 19 euros you can eat until you burst: where do you get that? So I didn't expect much from it. Of course the kalamaris came from the freezer and so did the fried mussels: but they were so tasty! Fresh salads, tasty sauces and delicious bread (Pitta yummy). But for me the icing on the cake was the LIVER (you love it or not). I have never eaten such tasty livers in my entire life! I wanted the recipe, started diligently taking pictures of the name and guess what? Homemade, marinated in advance with olive oil, wine vinegar and Greek herbs (plus cross nail which I subjected to microscopic examination) and the onions. Flambéed with (I forgot the name). After eating this, many questions were answered and I absolutely wanted this recipe: it was so delicious!! Sweet, patient waiter too. Our evening was great! Greetings from Anja (mom) and Karoline (the eternal child) / or was it the other way around? hihi. Thank you for our nice evening! Will recommend you!

Reservering was niet verwerkt, sfeerloos, kantine gevoel, luide muziek, geen verse tapas, personeel vergist zich telkens....geen kans op herhaling.

A beautiful business with an industrial look. Looks promising when you enter. It was our first time at Carpe Diem. (We eat Greek twice a month and always choose the tapas and meze at the competition). However, at Carpe Diem the quality was not that good. Lots of onions. Vegetables cut too coarsely. Not lovingly prepared and not great in taste. It had a home-garden kitchen look. The olives looked like they were from a can. The bruscetta didn't look anything like it (it wasn't bad in taste, but when I ask for bruscetta I want to eat it and not something that looks like it). I can keep going on about everything that it just wasn't. Also not entirely unimportant was the price and content (ratio) of the bitter lemon. Served without a bottle in a 200 ml glass and for an absurdly high price. The service was also not great. Well, the reception. But after the reception I was often surprised at the turn of events. Anyway: no second time for me.

De kaart is al jaren hetzelfde. Alleen de lekkere dingen zoals carpaccio en vitello tonato stonden er allemaal niet meer op. Dingen zoals garnalen met aoili moest je 2 euro extra voor betalen. 3 rondes gehad en alleen het brood was goed te eten. Bakjes vol met saus. Vlees erin was niet te vertrouwen.. Jammer. 3 x gevraagd voor een tandenstoker. Pas gekregen toen ik het weer vroeg bij afrekenen. Jammer

Delicious food and very good treatment. Also the staff is very nice and funny:). They mark the gluten free food for you.

Excellent and delicious food. Especially for that price. For my wife, who has lactose intolerance, they made a nice list of what she could order. Entirely right. Unfortunately, all desserts for her were crossed out. Tip: lactose intolerance is very common. Make sure you have an alternative such as sorbet ice cream. Can they also eat dessert? Everything else is well organized.

The food is really bad. We had already eaten after 3 rounds and half an hour. Tastes anything but Greek.

Quality of the food is of low standard. Also the reason why they keep the kitchen shutters closed. Toilet is very unkempt.

Nice concept. You can choose 4 rounds of 4 (small) dishes/tapas each. However, some come with an additional payment of €2, such as Gambas. If you are not full afterward, the waiter will allow you to do an additional round. Dessert is also included afterwards, as well as second helpings. Drinks have to be paid for. There are offers on the internet so that it only cost €18 per person (without drinks).

We had a package deal via social deal for 18 euros. The food often arrived at the table lukewarm. That was the only bad thing about the evening. The service was very friendly and helpful.

It started well, waitress very friendly. After 45 minutes the waitress was no longer so friendly She was with a large group that was obviously busy. She said to us my colleague will be here soon. Had to repeatedly ask if we could order. So in the end we didn't get the amount that WW was entitled to because we were done with it after 2 1/2. Concept is great Atmosphere fine But extensive is mediocre At checkout I received a completely different drink Bill offered which ultimately amounted to a difference of 15.50. Probably a mistake, but very difficult to get out of those costs. Prove it😁 luckily I don't drink alcohol.

We were really looking forward to tapas and we had been there before. We waited at the entrance for more than 10 minutes before an employee came, after which we had good service and we were helped well afterwards. For the large portions you don't have to go to the very small one for tapas. And too expensive, 2 euros extra is charged for this and it is not prepared properly. It is better to come up with a social deal. The atmosphere is nice here.

Could detect few Greek influences. Food prepared without taste, love and soul. Often too salty and tasteless. No next time!!

Super friendly and helpful staff, but the food didn't make me feel warm and often it didn't even though it was intended to be that way. All-you-can-eat turned out to be 4x4 which also included desserts. Nevertheless, I ate more than enough, even though an entire order had been forgotten. If you wait too long, the hunger often disappears. Nice big place with unfortunately poor acoustics. The music was way too loud. We paid €18.50 per person via social deal and that fits in nicely with the offer. The weekend rate of €31.50 would have been too expensive. Drinks not included. Rivella at €3.75 in a 20 cc glass without a bottle is on the high side.

Food/meat was most dry. Sauces and feta often salty. Moussaka was tasty, but the 1st round was a nice square cut block, the 2nd round seemed like an exploded dish and didn't look good. Drink prices are high in comparison. For some dishes you have to pay 1 to 2 euros extra. The portions are quite small each time. In the end it was quite sufficient for us. But a big eater won't make it. The store is large and spacious, but slightly industrial and cold. Light is very dark, you have to turn on the flashlight of your phone to read the map. Service was fairly smooth and helpful. Once but don't think again. Still available in terms of price via social deal. Full price is really too high for what you get.

Despite a promising start where we were neatly led to our table and served promptly with drinks, our evening in the restaurant was disappointing. Although the first round of dishes were served quickly and generously, things went wrong with the second round. We waited so long that we had even ordered the third round before we received the second round dishes. After an hour and a half of waiting, we were still waiting for a significant number of dishes from both the second and third rounds, despite repeated requests for clarification. All this while we were asked three times if everything was to our liking, and each time we had to indicate that we had already been waiting an hour and a half for 8 missing items from the total of 30 dishes ordered. This experience ruined our evening and detracts from the restaurant's reputation. The attached photo also shows what they call a bruschetta, bread with a piece of tomato???

What a mockery. We arrived at half past eight. The wine we wanted was gone, there were 5 dishes left. The brushetta is a slice of bread with a slice of tomato and 3 pieces of grated cheese. The mushrooms in cream sauce are just like mushroom soup, all dishes that are supposed to be hot are lukewarm. When ordering for round 2, the pita turned out to be gone again. We stopped after 1 round and went to eat somewhere else! The Carpe Diem of a few years ago is really hard to find.

Cool principle, Greek tapas all you can eat! You order different Greek tapas in up to 4 rounds. You can order a maximum of 1 dessert and 4 different tapas + salad and bread per round. The location itself is nice, but still a bit noisy. It's a bit chaotic, some waiters were very friendly and attentive, others seemed a bit absent and inattentive. Some of the food came very quickly they are small portions = tapas. The potatoes always came very quickly, dishes from the oven take a little longer. That was completely okay for us, we always had something to eat on the table and spent two lovely hours here. You shouldn't be here too late as the restaurant closes at 10 p.m. Unfortunately, 3 dishes and a few drinks were already sold out on Saturday evening. Most of the tapas were very tasty, a few were “just” okay. Given the variety of choices, it's really very good :) The concept isn't quite 100% coherent, it's Greek but also Spanish tapas, the music gets a bit lost due to the noise level, so you don't get the right Greek/Spanish/tapas atmosphere. But we enjoyed it and can only highly recommend it.

Very amused at this restaurant. After we received a brief explanation of what tapas is and were asked if we really wanted to eat here, we were given a nice table by the window. Before I went to eat here I was afraid that I would eat too much, but fortunately this was not the case. The meat dishes were very dry and tough, if you want a better jawline I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The pita was definitely the tastiest dish of the evening, this dish was so popular that it was no longer available after ordering once. I also noticed this with many of the other dishes, 15 of the 45 dishes had an additional cost or were not available. If you find it difficult to make choices, this place is very suitable! It was also nice that there were several heaters in the restaurant, coincidentally they were all broken, which can happen of course. All in all we had a very nice evening, not because of this restaurant but luckily the snack bar around the corner still sold a frikadel. It was also priced a bit cheaper than this place.

Bigger is not always better, it used to be much better and cozier.

Very nice restaurant. Depending on the weather, it can sometimes be colder, especially near the windows. But this is partly compensated for with a patio heater. The service is very nice and friendly, but also very stressed and overwhelmed at times. The food (tapas flat) is very tasty and plentiful with 4-5 servings. You should speak Dutch or English, German is difficult to understand here. We'd love to go there again!!

We used to come here a lot and were always very satisfied, except for the occasional overly busy evening. Now the price has gone up, half of the dishes on the menu have disappeared and you also have to pay extra for a quarter. Unfortunately the last time for us. Too bad the old concept is gone.

Nice informal eatery, attractively decorated. Reception at the counter: excellent and helpful. Enough choice, tasty, it food was tasty. Some dishes were better prepared than others. For certain dishes you pay 2 euros extra, which is understandable, but is not in proportion to what you get. The disadvantage of being served at the table is that you have to find out for yourself what the dish you ordered is. After 1-2 rounds you will get used to it. Service is friendly and customer-oriented, but depends on the person. It is worth experiencing this way of eating out. Great to do once in a while.

Some warm mezes were served cold, and quite dark inside. You can't see what your eating.

The food was good. Only point is we came with 4 people and love to share and try things. For that the portions are too small. But that was our own doing...first round we ordered all different things but couldn't share. If you simply order tapas for you that you want to try the portions are good. What they serve is good...for the price maybe fresh calamares would be nice and same for the tenderloin steak, 2 euro extra for that tapas makes it dissapointing what you get, specially since mine was totally cooked well done. The dessert could be a bit bigger or allow people to order 2 each would also be great. So all things considered 4 stars overal experience. The service was 5 stars, fast and friendly.

Today we had an all-you-can-eat tapas dinner at carpe diem. The restaurant itself has a modern industrial style that looks really nice and atmospheric. The lighting also gives it a modern touch. It was certainly not too cold, but just a fresh air that never smells stale and can never get too hot. Perfect for the catering industry. Beautiful seating areas where everyone gets their place. The tapas were all really delicious. They also all arrived warm. We were able to take 4 courses in 1 hour. The service was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately I can't say anything negative. It's neat and tidy and the music really wasn't too loud. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Came here often. Sufficient choice of various small snacks. I had the impression that the map had been changed. Various meat meals had to be paid extra. The choice was very small: an amount of €1 or €2. So pay close attention. I also thought drinks were on the more expensive side. Service fast. Worth a try

If you like lukewarm food in a cold room (I was there in January) you've come to the right place.

Upon entering we were kindly received and guided to our table. Ordering was easy and fast. Food was on the table quickly and was at the right temperature. The food taste was TOP. Staff was very helpful! Price/quality ratio is excellent.

Very slow before someone came to the table, and also explained in English, I received a glass of wine, I gave it back and asked if they could fill the glass for 5 euros, cold and still cold inside, heating off only that brass, that is not possible in a large room, a lot of noise, also in terms of music, we had things on the bill, we had not paid, that was always for the table behind us, and this was much too noisy in November, food was okay, there are better matters in terms of tapas, and ambiance and where it is warm inside, no longer for us, Super friendly and helpful waiter Maggie.

We had not been there for a long time, but unfortunately it had deteriorated considerably, 4/5 dishes were no longer available and I thought that was a shame. Gyros was very dry everywhere, I thought it would be a shame to add a dollop of garlic or mayo curry on the Spanish tortilla, put it next to it in a container or something.

19012024: first introduced to Carpe Diem via Social Deal. We were kindly received and guided to our table. A menu is available for each guest where you can choose from various Greek tapas dishes. There is also an extensive cocktail menu, which is technically well priced. Dishes taste good, service friendly and fast.

We had a really delicious meal, but there was one point that really bothered us. The music was way too loud. I had to shout to make myself heard. I got this dinner as a gift, so it wasn't fun for whoever gave it to me.

4 dishes were not ordered. Had to wait a long time for 1 dish. Fresh in the dining room.

Super goed geregeld lekker eten vriendelijke personeel top

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Es war EISKALT. Da hätte man auch genauso gut draussen essen können, da wäre es wenigstens nicht so laut gewesen. Es wurden zwar Heizstrahler aufgestellt, die haben nichts gebracht. Sollte die Heizung ausgefallen sein, hätte ich mir vorab eine Info gewünscht. Service war auch eher Mittel, man musste zwischen den Runde lange warten. Das Essen war oft kalt und ließ auch bis auf wenige Ausnahmen geschmacklich zu wünschen übrig

Lekker gegeten, vriendelijk personeel.

Afgelopen week zijn wij met ons gezin gaan eten bij Carpe Diem. Het eten was lekker, alleen jammer dat het soms wat langer duurde voordat het eten daadwerkelijk kwam. Wij waren vooral onder de indruk van Maggie (een jonge-dame die werkzaam is bij Carpe Diem) wat een super serveerster! van entree tot het verlaten van het restaurant heeft ze ons super geholpen! Bedankt voor de goeie service Maggie!

Ligt aan de drukte hoe snel je de gerechten krijgt, grote zaak met vriendelijk personeel. Je bestelt met potlood en papier vier tapasgerechtjes per ronde. Eten is goed. Prijs is redelijk: aanrader boek via social deal

Wij waren er de eerste keer. Zeer jong maar zo vriendelijk personeel dat hard werkt en niks is te veel! Eten was erg lekker! Wij komen zeker terug!

Onze ervaring bij Carpe Diem was onlangs niet zo fijn. We waren met vrienden via social deal daar gaan eten. Ik kende het restaurant van een andere locatie en was daar destijds tevreden over. Nu zijn ze verhuisd naar een soort van grote loods die de gezelligheid heeft aangetast wat mij betreft. Toen wij binnenkwamen werden we naar onze tafel gebracht en viel het ons op dat veel mensen met de jas aan zaten. In eerste instantie viel het wel mee maar na een uurtje hadden ook wij het steenkoud en bleek (na navraag aan de tafels om ons heen en aan het personeel) dat de verwarming stuk was en het was echt koud die dag! Wij snappen dat dit overmacht is maar het was ECHT koud (het voelde alsof je buiten zat zonder terrasverwarmer) en ik vind dat ze ons op z’n minst vooraf hadden mogen inlichten hierover en ons de keuze hadden moeten geven om het etentje te verplaatsen voordat we aan tafel gingen. Ik heb letterlijk met de handschoenen aan gezeten. Ook ging er met het eten veel mis. Tijdens de diverse gangen werden er steeds tapasgerechtjes vergeten… kan een keer gebeuren maar dit ging meerdere keren mis. Toen wij als toetje slagroomsoesjes bestelden waren deze allemaal bevroren; keihard! Toen we hier wat van zeiden werden de schouders gewoon opgehaald. We hebben diverse keren aangegeven dat het wel erg koud was, dat er eten vergeten was en van de soesjes maar we kregen nog geen excuus of bijvoorbeeld een kopje koffie ter compensatie. We hadden behoorlijk wat gedronken dus ze hadden, ondanks de social deal, best aan ons verdiend. Ik besloot later toch het restaurant onze klacht nog voor te leggen maar daar werd al niet beter op gereageerd. Ik kreeg wel netjes excuses maar ter compensatie mochten we voor hetzelfde bedrag nog eens langs komen zodat zij het goed konden maken 🤔 Dus eigenlijk komt het erop neer dat wij hen betalen om hun fouten te compenseren; beetje gek! Toen ik aangaf dat ik dat niet echt een juiste compensatie vond kwamen ze nog aan dat we de meerprijs van enkele gerechtjes (1 of 2 euro) niet hoefden te betalen. Ik voelde me echt niet serieus genomen. Toen ik dit aangaf kreeg ik een brutale reactie terug dat ik gewoon uit was op een gratis etentje 😳 Dat raakte mij want ik ben iemand die eerder teveel dan te weinig betaald en als iets goed is ben ik ook razend enthousiast en deel ik altijd positieve recensies en tags op mijn socialmedia uit. Maar dat ik als klant nog eens terug moet komen en nog eens voor hetzelfde mag gaan betalen zodat zij kunnen bewijzen dat ze het wel kunnen vind ik geen compensatie. Ik verwacht echt geen gratis etentje als er een gerechtje vergeten wordt maar hier ging zoveel mis en de kou was echt verschrikkelijk; het heeft echt de sfeer van de avond voor ons verpest. Helaas voor Carpe Diem komen wij niet meer terug! Jammer 🤷🏼‍♀️ ❣️ Na het plaatsen van deze review besloot ik de andere reviews te gaan lezen en zie tot mijn verbazing dat er enorm veel geklaagd wordt over de kou…. Nu voel ik me nog meer in de maling genomen nu blijkt dat het niet eenmalig overmachtsprobleem was maar dat ze gewoon de verwarming niet aanzetten!

Met een social deal is het eten oke. De service is prima. De sfeer is wat minder omdat de ruimte groot en leeg oogt.

Door de grote vind ik het ongezellig zitten.

Nu meerdere keren geweest. Gezellig service is goed, serveren redelijk snel en lekker 👌

Ik vond het erg tegenvallen. Veel producenten die op de kaart stonden waren “op”. Verschillende gerechten waren lauwwarm. De inktvisringen was sompig en de garnalen waren taai. De ambiance, het restaurant was steenkoud. Verschillende tafels zaten met de jassen aan. Het brengen van de gerechten was snel. De bediening was over het algemeen vriendelijk. Het server en afruimen kan beter. Conclusie zeker geen top restaurant . Ik begrijp goed dat ze het van de socialdeals moeten hebben.

Gezellige tent en vriendelijk personeel, eten was ook heerlijk.

Jammer… Meermaals wezen eten bij Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem is niet zo heel lang verhuist naar een nieuwe locatie en het restaurant heeft een nieuw jasje. Qua sfeer nu moderner en ook wel gezelliger, ziet er leuk en netjes uit! Personeel is ook erg vriendelijk. Maar het eten is er op achteruit gegaan helaas. Laten we zeggen het is oké, maar erg simpel en gewoontjes. Zo eens in de zoveel tijd met een Tripper of Social deal wel leuk om te doen, puur ook voor de sfeer. Maar wil je echt lekker (grieks) uiteten, dan is dit niet het juiste adres. Daarbij worden warme gerechtjes te vaak uiteindelijk koud gebracht, heb ik toch liever warme gyros… Maargoed, waar ik echt van schrik is de prijs aanpassing. Blijkt sinds kort zo te zijn dat er voor bepaalde gerechtjes zo’n €1-2 euro moet worden bijbetaald!! Vaste tarief van Carpe Diem is al veel te duur voor wat het is, en nu betaal je voor één brokje vlees met wat pepersaus €2 extra?!?! Belachelijk en het alles behalve waard. Wij zullen nu zelfs met een tripper of social deal actie geen klant meer zijn.

Eten is lekker, alleen is er geen sfeer. Je zit echt in een open hal, en het was er ijskoud. De mensen zaten er met de dikke jas aan. De prijzen van de koffie heb ik nog nooit ergens zo gezien. €5 voor een cappuccino en als topper een latte voor €7. Bizar. Porties eten mogen af en toe wel iets meer zijn.

Slome keuken maar eten was prima

Qua atmosfeer een leuk restaurant, maar dat is ook eigenlijk het enige positieve wat er te zeggen valt. Het eten was echt matig tot slecht; uitgedroogd vlees, koude tapas en het leek totaal vaak niet op hoe het gerecht er uit hoort te zien. De service was echt enorm langzaam, waardoor er flink wat tijd tussen de rondes zat. Ook werden vrijwel iedere ronde gerechten vergeten of kregen we verkeerde tapas. Het zou ze goed doen om wat meer personeel aan te houden. De drankjes waren aan de prijs, maar voor Nederlandse begrippen redelijk standaard +3 euro voor een flesje cola, water etc. Het eten zelf was via SocialDeal wel goedkoop voor 17.50, maar de reguliere prijs voor 29.50 p.p. in het weekend daarentegen is het het echt niet waard. Daarbij was het menu behoorlijk klein en waren een handvol gerechten niet gratis (2 euro extra per gerecht) waaronder de garnalen... Als met al een toch wel nog leuke avond gehad, maar ik zou hier vrijwillig niet meer terugkomen.

Social deal die het dubbel en dwars waard was. Lekker eten, leuke bediening. Grappig punt, we zijn beide vrij klein en vonden de stoelen wat laag. Dit werd meteen opgepakt dmv kussens en checkten later of we ok waren, echt heel attent. Veel keuze, allemaal even lekker. Enig minpuntje was de vrij luide muziek

Het eten de service en de sfeer een voldoende maar de prijzen van de drank een dikke onvoldoende. cappuccino 5 euro, spa rood 3,25 euro glaasje wijn 4,00 euro en als klap op de vuurpijl witbier 1/2 liter 8 euro. dus als je graag iets drinkt is dit restaurant niet aan te raden.
