The food is good, but very expensive. I thought I'd have a drink there, but it suddenly turned out to be 12 euros per drink.

A real hidden gem in Valkenburg. Anyone who loves excellent ice cream and fantastic cakes should definitely stop by. The little shop is full of Spanish delicacies! The owner, Marta, gave us a very warm welcome. Definitely 5 stars. We're going back again right away!

We really looked forward to eating Paella on our holiday in Valkenburg, and Casa España didn't disappoint! It's a very cosy (tiny) place, but that just adds to the atmosphere. We absolutely loved the fish balls! The paella was also an experience. We loved sitting on their terrace, although there was airco inside on this very hot day. It was quite pricey for a lunch, and the alcohol-free sangria was also quite pricey. So it was a very indulgent lunch. Unfortunately, they had a lot of pork on their menu, which we don't eat, otherwise we would have loved to have had a sandwich.

The cake was super tasty and the homemade hot chocolate was delicious. It was a real treat!

We ate the alioli, morcilla, and the seafood paella, and everything was delicious. The paella was absolutely the highlight: large prawns, super fresh ingredients, and incredible flavor. We really ate everything. My boyfriend lived in Spain for years and said that this was one of the best paellas he has ever eaten, even better than at many restaurants in Spain. The restaurant is cozy, atmospherically decorated, and is within walking distance of the castle and the caves. Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic Spanish food in the Netherlands. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful experience in the heart of Valkenburg - it felt like being in Spain - the quality of products is exceptional. We highly recommend this place - the prices are very reasonable and the variety of products outstanding. Will definitely plan to come again if we are in the area. Unmissable, and a must try!

Small but lovely eatery with delicious cakes!

I tasted the croquettes; they were fantastic, especially the chorizo. Quite pricey though, well over 2 euros each for one bite. I would have loved to taste everything; the pastries look delicious too. The lady is friendly; I was able to practice my Spanish. Unfortunately, she doesn't speak Dutch despite having lived in the Netherlands for over 20 years? I would love to come back to Valkenburg whenever I am.

We ate here last night and now we're back again! The tapas were delicious, the ham and cheese platter was top-notch. The churros and the cakes were great. The sandwiches and the pinxo this morning were also amazing, and I haven't even mentioned the lovely people and the beautiful place!!

Its a sweet little Spanish cafe located near the caves, serving great and hearty meals. I wanna give a shoutout to the nice plates lol I really love them! The churros were great, crispy and light too. One minor downside is that the sitting area is really cramped if you’re planning to dine in

It’s a must visit in Valkenburg. The Spanish owners are really friendly and genuine. The food is amazing: paella, cakes, bread and much more. It’s a little bit Spain in the Netherlands.

Lovely place, with very kind staff who sell authentic Spanish food (they are Spanish themselves). The food is delicious, and they offer gluten-free options. In fact, it’s probably one of the safest places to eat gluten-free, as they are very knowledgeable about cross-contamination and ingredients. Definitely a little piece of Spain in the Netherlands.

Now this is a TRUE hidden gem! Valkenburg is the last place I expected to find an authentic Spanish bistro ran by the loveliest Spanish couple. It’s a little small but I would highly recommend sitting down and ordering a paella. While we were eating we saw them prepare some sandwiches for other customers and those looked fantastic too! You can also get take-away tapas or some fine spanish wine here. If you’re in Valkenburg, definitely swing by!

Amazing quality food, we felt like we where back in Spain. The staff where kind and helpful. The prices where very good and the Sangria tasted like happiness. I also had the best olives of my life and it made our day trip too Valkenburg.

We had a really good meal and time at Casa Espana. The food was really tasty and the portions were generous. The hosts are a lovely couple who were very inviting and courteous!

You immediately feel at home. Unfortunately, we were only there for ice cream, which is a unique experience. Treat yourself to a chocolate. It's so authentic that I was reminded of Holy Week as a child when I first tried hot chocolate in Spain. The food served by the guests and at the counter looked so delicious. We saw some people on the terrace and the iberico looked so good, we had to have it as well. Wow is my first thought. It was amazing. 100% iberico. The man in the shop was so helpful and nice. Too bad we couldn't drink a beer of wine on site. He also made a cheese platter. It was waaaay too much, but also super good. We ate some bits and then took stuff home. Definitely recommend. I can understand their 5-star rating

I stumbled upon this tiny Spanish shop during lunch and was absolutely delighted! I ordered the Iberian sandwich, paella Valenciana, and churros with hot chocolate — everything was incredibly delicious. The owners were extremely warm and welcoming. They even offered us some complimentary appetizers before the meal and kindly split our sandwich into three portions for easy sharing. It’s a small place, but the atmosphere is cozy and full of heart — it truly felt like dining at home. This restaurant totally made my day! I’ll definitely be coming back.

On my birthday my wife brought me here. Small terrace with 2 tables on the street. Inside a shop with all kinds of Spanish delicacies. Sat outside and ordered authentic Spanish tapas (shrimp pancakes, ham croquettes, patates bravas and punctie chorizo ​​BBQ). Everything very tasty and well taken care of.

Food was delicious and great service, also you can find some of Spanish products here. I highly recommended this place.

this is SUCH A HIDDEN GEM. Had the Sobrasado toast for only 6,95€ (such an affordable price for the taste) and it was DIVINE 🙏 the owner is so friendly and warm, and this store is stocked full of the yummy Spanish pastries and hams and cheeses and chocolates that I missed so much from my trip to Spain. Don’t miss this store!! The Churros absolutely blew my mind — fresh and piping hot, these were better than the ones I had in spain. The hot chocolate was thick and so healing to my soul

Wow! I ordered a pistachio ice cream and ham sandwich and both were the best I’ve had. The gentleman who served us was great and even gave us a surprise of warm Spanish chocolate to dip our ice creams in. If you’re in Valkenburg you need to try! You won’t regret it.

We were looking for a hot chocolate after a long winter day, and to our surprise, Casa España's hot chocolate was really thick and delicious with whipped cream on top and Spanish biscuit. I'd definitely suggest this hot chocolate for anyone who's visiting the Valkenburg Christmas Market.

Super friendly! Seems like a family running here. The shop is tiny, but tiny is not the word to describe how welcoming they are! Ordered paella, and it was reheated not cooked on site. Yet, it still tastes good. Pudding was Ok. But when it comes to drinks or Jamón Iberico, I believe this is definitely the place you can count on in this area. Love the atmosphere. But they charged me aioli was the only unpleasant.

Never found horchata in the Netherlands until today. Local Spanish cuisine and kind people: just amazing!

Fantastic! We unexpectedly settled here and enjoyed various tapas and two different types of paella, both of which were delicious. Deserts were one by one sublime. The two small tables are very cozy, with a view of a beautiful gate. It's as if you imagine yourself in Spain. The host and hostess are incredibly hospitable. The prices are more than reasonable. I wouldn't know where you would be served so hospitably, get fantastic food and not feel like you've lost a leg. "It's not a restaurant, it's an experience" we (three friends on holiday) decided. Definitely worth five stars!
