Had dinner here on a beautiful summer evening. Our satay was deliciously prepared. The large fries were well fried, not greasy and deliciously firm in structure. Enjoyed the meal here with gusto And very friendly staff. That's how you win customers!

Very friendly service and great beers

We (5 people) are very enthusiastic about hotel & restaurant Centraal Baarlo. The apartment on the ground floor with outdoor seating was equipped with every luxury, the hygiene was top! In the restaurant with large outdoor terrace you can eat delicious food (breakfast was also fantastic) fresh products! The customer friendliness of all the staff is at the top of the list, you are taken into a warm loving family, what a fantastic recommendation! A place where we will definitely come back.

Spent our wedding night in Hotel Baarlo. A very nice room where we could still enjoy. We got breakfast in the room and were allowed to check out later. Super service.

In one word: wow! What a great experience. The location is very nice and parking was super easy. We were welcomed very friendly and stayed in an apartment that was taken care of down to the last detail. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, complete and with lovely scented sticks – everything was arranged down to the last detail. The beds were fantastic! Unfortunately, we were only there for one night because of work and we were really sorry that we had to leave again. In the evening we had dinner in the restaurant – delicious food and a nice atmosphere. The breakfast the next morning; That surpassed everything! Not only super tasty and complete, but also beautifully presented. When checking out, there was even time for a friendly chat and genuine interest in our day. It is not around the corner for us, but we will definitely come back – and then we will stay a bit longer. Thank you for the wonderful stay and the warm hospitality!

This was a perfect stopover on our way from Copenhagen to Calais. The room was luxurious and tranquil. The staff were simply wonderful. The included breakfast was extraordinary. We couldn’t have asked for more. I will visit again in the future.

Small village Very busy with traffic

We had a truly wonderful stay at Later. The apartment was beautiful, with a lovely terrace and a kitchen. The breakfast was truly special and made us feel genuinely happy each morning. What stood out most was how the hosts went above and beyond. They offered help, really thought along with us when we needed something, gave us their full attention. You could truly feel they gave 200 percent, from the support they offered to the care in presenting both the breakfast and the apartment. Highly recommended.

Nice location to take a seat on the well-kept large terrace. Friendly, smooth service. Good strong coffee and nicely at temperature. Cherry pie also tasted great.

We stayed for one night in the very romantic Room 2 with bathtub! Everything was amazing and the staff and personal were extremely friendly and helpful and even gave us their privat Garage for our motorcycle! The breakfast was also very good and everything was freshly made for us. No buffet! But way better!

What a fantastic experience. A beautiful hotel and the photos were exactly like the rooms. We had the family room with the 'bedstee'. Huge success. Upon arrival we were welcomed very friendly and could already use our room before check-in time. We wanted to rent bikes from the local bike shop but they were all already rented out. They immediately thought along and made it possible for us to still go out with our children with private bikes. The food was also very tasty and in the morning the breakfast was also fresh and delicious. All in all highly recommended. And definitely a place where we will come back! 🌸

Recently sat on the terrace of Central Baarlo and what a wonderful experience! The food was very tasty, fresh and well prepared. The cappuccino was really great – creamy, full of flavor and just right. But what really made it special was the staff: super friendly, hospitable and attentive. You immediately feel welcome. Definitely recommended if you are in Baarlo!

We were passing through and stayed at the Centraal Baarlo for one night. The room was perfect: spacious, clean and our daughter loved her special loft bed! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and we had a very tasty, loving, plentiful breakfast in the morning! We would definitely come back if we were in the area again!!

We stopped here on the way back home from Antwerp. The visit was totally worth it, we were warmly greeted by the service and well served until we left. The duck I ate was fried absolutely PINK to perfection, with a great kunquat sauce, along with a very tasty kohlrabi prurree and Jerusalem artichoke chips. There was also a non-alcoholic Aperol on the menu. The price-performance ratio is right in all things.

Bed and bath wonderful. Spacious room, a bit dark. Hardly any view from the room. The area is very nice for walking or cycling. Nothing to do in the village itself. After a wonderful night's sleep, the breakfast was very disappointing and did not match the quality of the room. Because breakfast is brought to the table, there is no personal choice. Was looking forward to delicious fresh bread from the bakery and fresh fruit! I expected the use of typical local products. In my opinion, a missed opportunity. The food in the restaurant was also disappointing, but the service was extremely friendly.

Lekker ontspannen en genoten. We hebben 2 nachten geslapen bij Centraal en ook 2 x lekker gegeten. Fijne locatie en vriendelijke service en erg hard werkende mensen allemaal! Mooie kamer met alles wat we konden wensen. Als we iets moeten aanmerken is het, het gebonk van een deur beneden de kamer gedurende de avond. We zijn vanuit deze locatie even langs Düsseldorf geweest en dat is prima te doen. Dank voor de service!

We hebben daar vanavond voor het eerst gegeten. Onze verwachtingen werden volledig overtroffen. De kwaliteit en presentatie van het eten was superieur. Dit in combinatie met de vriendelijke, attente bediening maakte het geheel tot een heerlijke avond. Wij zullen in de toekomst deze prachtige gelegenheid vaker bezoeken.

Very friendly service and the breakfast was also very good. You had more than enough and there was a lot of variety. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this hotel without trying the restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to our expectations or the price paid. We had booked the small apartment with two bedrooms. It is nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable. However, it was very cold. When we arrived, the apartment had not been heated and despite using the radiator, the temperature remained unpleasant. Additionally, the heating cycled on and off regularly, causing noise during the night. Another negative point: during our stay, a large carnival party was taking place directly at the hotel, generating noise even in our room. We were not informed of this event when booking. For us, the hotel should have been closed, given the festive atmosphere there. Looking for peace and quiet, we were terribly disappointed. We signaled our dissatisfaction but no action was taken. This lack of professionalism is regrettable. The breakfast, although copious and nicely presented, is composed of simple products: rolls and pastries cooked on site. It is served in a small, charming room. However, the staff is friendly and the place has potential. Unfortunately, the experience does not justify the asking price. We do not recommend this hotel and will not return. Damage ...

UPDATE 1/19/25 Pleasant lunch, very friendly service and delicious dishes. The cauliflower curry soup was very tasty. We sat in the new part, attractive and cozy. Price/quality very good! Based on this latest experience, we have adjusted the rating. Nice atmosphere, but oh how disappointing (again) unfortunately. On the terrace twice in the summer, not nice service, unfriendly and a very long wait. Had another chance last weekend, because yes... we may have just had bad luck, of course. We waited a very long time after we were assigned a table for service. I think we had to wait at least 20-25 minutes. Finally I got up and spoke to an employee myself. Employees are friendly Starter came fairly quickly and was fine. Unfortunately, I asked several times for new drinks, and only received them (after asking again) when the main course was finished. One main course was downright disgusting. Was satay menu, really, never tasted such mediocre satay. Even my tablemate thought it was disgusting and agreed with me. Fries, salad etc were fine. Atmosphere was fine and cozy. We were not the only ones who had to wait a long time and had to ask the waiter several times. All in all, three disappointing experiences now. Can't be a coincidence right? Not anymore for us unfortunately. UPDATE 9-1-24 following response from owner Thank you for your message. We'll drop in again soon. I will then ask for you. 👍

Small but nice!! 5 rooms total, ideal for a relaxing stay. Room was great, everything very new and clean. Good bed, great shower! From Baarlo you can reach Düsseldorf or Cologne in an hour, or of course in the other direction towards Maastricht or Belgium. We also had a very tasty meal downstairs in the restaurant and an extensive breakfast in the living room every morning. We enjoyed it!!

The Café Centraal near Venlo/NL is certainly exceptional! Exceptionally special. Why ? It has such a coziness that surprises you when you walk in. The interior, the lighting... I don't know, but if it was made by the designer - my compliments. Nothing fancy, nothing overloaded, cozy - inviting. The operation and service are certainly exceptional! Many restaurateurs scream because they can't find staff - here you have it, and you can feel it throughout your entire stay - that the team is having fun working on the guests. Unusual the selection of draft beers - great A place to feel good! 😎

It's a small hotel attached to their restaurant. The room was large, cozy and modernly decorated. Everything we needed was there. They use quality products, which ensures a fantastic stay and a good night's sleep. The staff was very friendly and helped you well. Breakfast was prepared for you and consisted of all kinds of goodies. It was a hearty breakfast that gives you a good start to the day. It is located in Baarlo where there is not much to do, so you are dependent on a car to do activities.

We have planned a weekend in Toverland with our family and booked an overnight stay here. We are very satisfied with the spacious apartment with a courtyard. Nice interior, everything was clean and tidy. We all slept wonderfully.

We came by this restaurant around 11pm since everything was closed nearby and the service was very welcoming and caring. They could arrange smth for us even though it was late which is very much appreciated. The food is good too. We had marinated shrimps, fried chicken and truffles fries. We really liked this small but very modern and stylish hotel. Unfortunately we only spent one night but we didn't miss anything. It is super clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very nicely presented. The free-standing bathtub was an absolute highlight. The restaurant also offers a welcoming atmosphere. We recommend 100%.

Op zoek naar een aardig restaurant in Baarlo, met voldoende keuze voor een vegetariër, kwam ik uit bij Centraal. En die verwachting hebben ze waargemaakt. Ik had een smakelijke poké bowl met beukenzwammetjes, mijn partner de mooie dagschotel met zalm. Ook de bijzondere desserts werden smaakvol opgediend. Attente bediening. Pluspunt is ook de prachtige bierkaart. Parkeren kan voor de deur.

Cafe has a nice ambiance and is beautiful and well situated. Problem was, we came in and clearly stated we wanted to eat something and were told to take a seat where no cutlery was placed. We found a seat and someone came to take our drink order and we looked through the menu. Then when wanted to order something to eat the person says that lunch is only open in half an hour. I clearly stated we came to eat something so maybe inform people straight away when they come inwhen they mention It instead of giving a false impression we can eat! Really bad service like this and unlikely to return. Shame really we came heren often enough.
