De Koncurrent in Wijk 01 Panningen

Yesterday I celebrated my 40th birthday and rented part of the venue. Very pleased with the food and the fast service. It was just a shame about the somewhat high VAT that had to be paid on the invoice. But I had an exceptionally good experience last night and recommend De Koncurrent to anyone celebrating.

Because Tomies Bar is involved, I'm only giving them a 1*. Kind regards, Teckels van de Peelhelden. I loved coming here with my wife.

Top voor een avondje zakelijk borrelen. Ik ben met een zakelijke relatie even een avond hier naartoe en we zijn goed en snel geserveerd.

Absolutely excellent! I highly recommend this place — the staff is incredibly attentive, and the quality of the food is outstanding, congratz for the kitchen team! The cocktails? Simply fantastic! For couples, I honestly don’t find it expensive at all. The value for money is more than fair, especially considering the top-notch service and atmosphere. I’ve been living in the Netherlands for 9 months now, and this has become my go-to spot, I feel like home. I can’t go a weekend without visiting. Both the terrace and the indoor space are amazing — cozy, beautifully decorated, and full of refined, tasteful details that truly stand out. Having experience in the hospitality industry, I can say it’s been a long time since I’ve had such a positive and fulfilling experience. It’s clear that a lot of care and vision went into this project. Kudos to the whole team — you’ve created something special. Cheers! 🍸

An older couple did leave because they had to order with a tablet...not everyone is a computer illiterate

We had a wedding. Ceremony, cake, toast, buffet, party. Everything was perfectly organized, great service, and friendly staff. Very helpful. The 5 stars are well deserved.

Nice here. Cozy terrace and good food

We always drive here especially from Weert. Delicious food and a really nice atmosphere. Because you order with a tablet, you can determine the pace yourself. All tasty snacks, spread over the evening. Our favorites are always the carpaccio bonbons and the ravioli.

How awful. You get sent off the terrace because you have a small dog. You can’t even order! Small animal of 4 kg and just on a leash. My oh my…..

Komen regelmatig terug. Veel keuze. Prima kwaliteit. Mooie inrichting. Fijn personeel. Gezellige plek om te lunchen.

Ik vond het eten lekker, maar de muziek stond erg hard. Ik kon de mensen aan mijn tafel niet verstaan. Je hoefde niet lang te wachten op het eten

Zo een heerlijk restaurant, voor iedereen wat wils. Samen met de kids geweest. #genieten. Wij raden iedereen aan om hier te komen eten.

Personally, I don't like ordering with a tablet. I prefer an old-fashioned menu. you cannot ask for anything or have it changed or added. I find staff at the table more personal. But that said, it does work efficiently. The food is delicious

Lovely terraces again yesterday. Everywhere was already full. On the wsg side we saw a spot that was free. We brought our Cocker Spaniel with us. It lies down and it doesn't bother anyone. When we wanted to order a drink, an employee came and asked us to leave in a very unfriendly tone. No animals were tolerated!! Well, outside... we got up and at Mr & Mrs we were more than welcome with our dog. So it can be done that way. We will NEVER come here again!

Tijdens kerstmis werd in de Koncurrent een 7 gangen shared dining diner geserveerd. Wij hebben er van genoten. De bediening liep ondanks een vol restaurant zonder haperen. Praktisch is, dat je bestellingen kunt plaatsen via tablet. Wij komen hier zeker terug.

No service, you are put at a table with a tablet and you can figure out the rest yourself. You order dishes with the tablet, and this is all put on your table at the same time... we ordered baguette in advance, soup as a starter and steak as a main course..... the main course came first, then the soup.... later they forgot the fries and bread. The steak was TOUGH.....and I think 18 euros for a small bowl of tough steak is way too much money. We left hungry and lost 50 euros here. Our complaint was taken seriously and they tried to settle it with a free drink. But an evening that has been ruined for me (which is my problem) cannot be dismissed with a drink, which we also declined! In addition, they would speak to the staff about it... which is nonsense because they were all young boys and girls who did their very best with little to no experience who are now trying to blame them for the bad policy! I am extremely disappointed about it... if you provide top service with "cheap" and "inexperienced" staff while you want to make a lot of money easily, you will get the short end of the stick! Once and never again!

Very nice concept and especially great if you have to eat gluten-free. There is a special section on the ordering tablet with gluten-free dishes, so that they are immediately entered into the kitchen as gluten-free. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Heerlijke lunchplank, o.a. met meer dan gevulde goulahssoep. Ruime porties! Vlotte, vriendelijke bediening. Gezellige ambiance, prachtige zaak. Wij komen zeker terug.

Had a delicious meal with a group of 18. Vegan for 1 person was no problem, it was really delicious! Highly recommended!

Very nice restaurant with tasty dishes to share. Quantities are fine so you can order multiple dishes. They have something for everyone, from oysters to schnitzel. Service is very attentive and friendly. Only contact is difficult because they work with ordering via the tablet. Atmosphere is cozy but very noisy under the awning.

Small Portions dinner. Saying that it is food to share, and that it is already smaller dishes. But then these main courses with small pieces of meat are very small. No garnish/salad included, cannot be ordered separately. Ordered a bite of fries for 5 euros. And then 2 sliced ​​baguettes for the main courses, after we had already had a bread board in advance. And the stroganoff sauce with meat seemed to have just been heated up in a steamer and everything had already been prepared beforehand. Because it was cold meat and lukewarm thin sauce. Photo on the tablet does not match the dish. Had a great lunch in the summer, so the difference in portions is big. Price quality not very entertaining. Staff/owner sociable and nice.

Had lunch at the Koncurrent. Take a lunch platter where you can choose 3 dishes from the selection. Opted for a chicken pokebowl, crispy chicken wrap and the Gyros served on traditional bread. My wife had Pokebowl salmon, beef carpachio on bread and Italian toasted sandwich. In general, the dishes tasted great accompanied by a tasty sauce. Disappointment was the Gyros which was very bland in taste and also had an old bitter taste. The atmosphere is great and the interior is nice. The open space is quite noisy.

You come to the terrace and order with an app. You are busy with that with 4 people. A waitress comes and we ask where is the snow white drink. Don't answer Jenik, I don't know, okay then we'll do it differently. Another waiter comes and says that we are not allowed on the terrace with a dog. We leave with 4 people and another couple with a dog. Then place a plate at the beginning. NO DOGS ALLOWED EVEN ON THE TERRACE. We don't have any hassle and neither do they. They never see us there again, nor do the other people. Not even without a dog.

The inhospitality here is increasing. We often sat on the terrace last year, but that is no longer possible because the dog is no longer allowed as a visitor. Probably staff problems there, because the service is terrible. Hurried, unfriendly. It's also a shame that there is no Irish coffee on the menu. No, we won't go there anymore. Not fun anymore.

Wij waren met een groep van 11 personen en zaten aan een grote lange tafel met hoge barkrukken. Deze waren helaas niet voor iedereen even comfortabel. Het systeem van bestellen via de tablets werkt prima en voelt op geen moment onpraktisch of onpersoonlijk

Ended up in the Koncurrent on the advice of "the wise ones" from the East. Was assigned table 102 (right at the bar and next to the toilets in the draft from the main entrance). This was a bar table with stools. Which is not really comfortable and practical. Unfortunately there were no low tables available. This should not spoil the fun, it was ultimately about the taste sensations that "the wise men" from the East had experienced. First had a tour from a young man. In itself a nice place, neat and clean. The concept is a collection of all kinds of dishes. You can compare it with a food court in one restaurant. From bitterballen to sushi, Schnitzel to Scallops. It is all available and can all be ordered via a tablet on the table. Now I was there to experience the taste sensations that would send my taste buds into a frenzy. The love that would flow abundantly through my stomach and, not unimportantly, testing the credibility of "the wise men" from the East. Now I can say that "the wise men" from the East are no longer credible. If there were a taste bud police, it hasn't been to Panningen yet. Salt and pepper were not on the table, but they were needed to get some love into the stomach. We will soon make another attempt in the Koncurrent.

ANIMAL UNFRIENDLY. We enjoyed coffee and cake several times with an 83 year old with a dog from the Landhoes hospice. It's a shame that dogs are suddenly no longer allowed to come due to an incident. We were very rudely asked to leave. All dogs and guests are thus tarred with the same brush. A VERY Pity, especially for someone from a hospice who still wants to experience fun moments.

Ate here a while ago. I was tipped off in Venlo that it would be better to go here than to eat something in Venlo itself. This was definitely worth it. The case is new and neatly finished. The concept (the part of slightly larger tapas dishes) is ideal. This means you don't have to make 1 choice, but you can choose 3/4/5 dishes that you think you will like. And all the dishes I had were all delicious. The tuna in particular is highly recommended. Service is friendly and fast at the table once you have ordered.

A terrace and restaurant that you would expect in a city and that you don't always find there. In the middle of the village, a beautiful terrace, a brasserie with several attractive rooms in a great ambiance, stylish and friendly staff. A menu that invites you to taste different dishes (steak is recommended), not too long, so the quality is good... Once again… a pearl in North Limburg that would not look out of place in a big city.

Easter walk started from here with coffee and delicious Portuguese forest fruit (warm) pastry on a beautiful patio terrace courtyard. Enjoyed an asparagus tasting upon return (photo). Lovely on the terrace in the afternoon sun. Conclude with Food to share. Recommended 👍🏼
