Just like last year, we came specifically for the mussels; they were delicious again! Upon request, we even received a small bowl of curry sauce to taste how that version tasted. Unfortunately, the price for this specific dish has increased enormously compared to last year... I fear that for that reason, we won't be coming back often anymore...

Cozy terrace in a prime location. Beautiful view of a lovely square. Friendly service and delicious food. Can sometimes get busy because it really is a beautiful spot. Arrive on time.

We got a little hungry in the late afternoon and a table outside had just become available in the lovely weather. The menu was small but excellent, with many bread specialties. We ordered a nut and raisin bread with warm Brie. It was beautifully presented on the plate and tasted delicious. The service could have been a bit more attentive. For me, it felt more like a pub, café, or bistro than a restaurant. Overall, it was okay.

Wow!! What a fantastic restaurant. We arrived "late" for dinner but they made room for us, 8 people. Flexible attitude, super nice and cheerful, and the food exceptionally good! Labeled by our foreign friends as the best restaurant of our tour of the Veluwe! Go give it a try!! And don't forget dessert!

We ordered a carpaccio salad and 2 Aperol Spritzes here. The carpaccio salad was really very small. The carpaccio was so incredibly thin that you could barely find it under the tiny bit of lettuce. For a lunch dish, it was really far too little. We had to pay almost €60 for the 2 drinks and the 2 salads. That is ridiculously expensive. The service was okay.

We have been coming to Chapoo with great pleasure for years. After a day touring in our Mini, or for a cozy lunch during a shopping day with the girls in Zutphen — it is always good here. So good, in fact, that we chose to celebrate our wedding here as well. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail: a delicious set menu, a cozy atmosphere at a long table, and service with humor and a smile. To us, Chapoo has become a place where beautiful memories are made. Highly recommended!

Have had a delicious meal several times. Superb quality meat, prepared nicely.

The food was truly worth more than 5 stars! Absolutely top-notch. But… we sat for over 2.5 hours just for a quick bite to eat. Three courses, admittedly, because the dishes leave you wanting more. The seating area next to the entrance was not recommended. The chairs are far below par for sitting for 2.5 hours, and since the terrace was fairly full, the outside door opened very often and, more importantly, slammed shut with a huge bang! It would almost make you aggressive; what a massive slam every time. A tip for the owner: just spend a few hundred euros and have a professional install a good door closer that properly slows the door down before it crashes into the frame. A real shame, because we would certainly come back for the food.

Ugh, so positive just a few months ago, but oh, what a shame that new menu is. Where the tuna panini used to be a delicious sandwich with tuna, apple, onion, and some lettuce, it has now been turned into a tuna melt. What a soggy mess; nothing special, lots of half-melted cheese over some tuna, just like being in a snack bar. No lettuce anymore either. Very, very disappointing. It’s probably cheaper and easier, but oh dear... real fast food. Unworthy of Chapoo, I’d say.

The food was great. The service was poor, though friendly, but we waited an hour for a starter. We also asked if the main course could arrive sooner...not recommended.

Nice seating and certainly good food—nothing to complain about. However, the service left much to be desired. We were there from 11:00 AM, even though the kitchen didn't open until noon. In that time, we only had one drink and had to ask for the menu ourselves. Five minutes before noon, our order still hadn't been taken. The service was minimal, but the attitude wasn't very welcoming. A more friendly atmosphere and a bit more attention to the guests would make a big difference. There's clearly room for improvement here.

Yesterday we tried to get a table for lunch at the restaurant. My mother-in-law suggested a table, but the man at the door refused to let us in. We asked how long the wait was, but he didn't answer. We saw people leaving, so my mother-in-law tried again. The man then said to her, "Don't be so rude!" We were all shocked, because my mother-in-law wasn't being rude at all, just a little playful. It goes without saying that we will never go there again.

It's been a long time since we've had such a delicious meal. I took my time eating the carpaccio and the plaice, but the shellfish sauce was especially delicious.

We were on vacation nearby and stumbled upon it when we wanted a cup of coffee. The terrace is lovely. Two days later, we went there for lunch, even though we had to make a detour. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, and the staff is super friendly.

Yesterday the two of us had a wonderful meal at Chapoo. Ribeye and diamond tenderloin, a beautiful piece of artisanal meat and wonderfully prepared! Really chapoo! Service friendly and attentive. We will be back soon!

Spent two days with the camper in Zutphen. After the bike ride we ended up in Zutphen at restaurant Chapoo!. Really delicious food. Quality food but very tasteful. An explosion of flavors. Also very friendly staff and owner. A must for those who appreciate quality. CHAPEAU

The two of us sat upstairs in peace and quiet. Still 1 portion of asparagus left in the kitchen. DELICIOUSly prepared with salmon, sauce and a crispy side. The pearl barley was so delicious that I have to come back again! For desert we had decaf with white chocolate mousse and madeleines (still warm from the oven)! We requested dark chocolate, but that was not possible. That's why there was a chocolate truffle as a bonus with the coffee. The service was therefore very personal and pleasant. Until next time!!!

Had dinner in this quiet restaurant for the 3rd time in 4 months. Once again well cared for and very tasty. The fried salmon, the chicken supreme and the sea bass (menu of the day) were very good. Ordering fries again was no problem. I go here more often.

Asked if the Orange juice was freshly squeezed. Yes, that was the case. (delivered via the greengrocer, the waitress said) Do you get it? so not fresh. Weird mixed juice. Not tasty. And that for 4.80.

We were taught a long time ago that you eat with your eyes first. Well, then dining at Chapoo is a party. The dishes look beautiful! And the test comes to the end. Is it as tasty as it looks? No, it's not. 'Tasty' is an understatement. Delicious comes closer, but the title 'taste sensation' does much more justice to reality. How they know how to spoil you here! We didn't know Chapoo yet and when you arrive you don't expect to be received in this way and to really be a guest. The atmosphere is good, the staff wonderfully informal, but very alert. Went into Zutphen on spec to have a bite to eat. We were on time (early) and could choose from the tables on the terrace. While our food was being served we saw the terrace filling up. And I understand that, delicious food, friendly hostesses and a beautiful terrace. And if the weather wasn't good, it looked cozy inside too.

Coffee was lukewarm. Apple pie was cold, just out of the freezer? The cookie was hard. Were there around 10am, cleaning was still taking place. No judgment on the food, it was very good on previous visits.

On a rainy afternoon I tried to get a sandwich and something extra here, but were attacked on this terrace by another customer because my brother was calling home. We were sent away, but we did get our money back.

Yesterday we had lunch with a friend on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We were able to park nearby (free), delicious food and a nice atmosphere. I had lunch for one and my girlfriend had a carpaccio sandwich. Delicious!

It was very busy when we walked in, but one of the waitresses was able to offer us a table. Furthermore, we had a delicious lunch in a pleasant atmosphere.
