Grand Café Pierrot in Wijk 00 Centrum - De Hoven

Just had a delicious meal. Pork satay. Nothing to fault. Really tasty. The service was exceptionally friendly, up for a chat but not pushy. It has been a long time since I ate somewhere where I was treated so casually and genuinely hospitably by the staff. Highly recommended!

Cozy location with good value for money.

After 5 years, we tried Pierrot again. Unfortunately, not a single reaction from the owners. We spent 500 to 600 euros a month there for years. One of the owners saw us, so you expect them to come over to the table and be happy that you are back; unfortunately, a missed opportunity. We had reserved for dinner but left after just one drink to eat at Chapoo. Here, we are appreciated as guests. We had a delicious meal and left a 20 euro tip for excellent service. Pierrot could learn a thing or two from this.

We had a lovely lunch at Grand Café Pierrot. Even though the terrace was full, we were served reasonably quickly, both with ordering and paying. The sandwiches were delicious. The toilet was clean. If we are ever in Zutphen again, we would love to come back!

Enjoyed a delicious meal on a cozy terrace

Drinks were fine, but unfortunately the service was substandard. Out of nowhere, we were asked to leave the terrace in a rather forceful manner. Apparently because it was 1 am (we just made that up ourselves, as no reason was given), but this could have been handled much more politely. Additionally, others were allowed to stay seated, and there were also people with full drinks. Upon arrival, a simple good evening or a smile was too much to ask, and while we still had drinks, we were already asked if we wanted to order more. Not hospitable, not worth repeating.

It was pleasantly busy. The food tasted good, but the portion size was inadequate. And the garnish? We forgot it. We had to ask for it, and it wasn't much to speak of. Very disappointing. So, not recommended for a future visit. And then the price for the small amount of food... simply TOO EXPENSIVE for that. Very disappointing.

A cozy, nice spot in Zutphen. One of the few full terraces here on a Friday evening. The meat was of good quality and very tasty. The spareribs fell right off the bone. The side dishes were somewhat mediocre, though; for instance, the small, cold quiche didn't add much. The price-quality ratio was excellent; it's one of the more affordable spots, but still offers really good quality. Finally, delicious wine! Definitely recommended if you are in Zutphen.

Today I received completely raw eggs; they were only cooked on the bottom, not on the top, and there was also a hair in the potatoes! I am not posting this message to complain, but to improve the quality for future customers! Have a nice day!

Sat on the terrace a few times with a glass of wine and tasty bitterballen. Also had dinner there one evening. The carpaccio, pork tenderloin satay, beef steak, and gambas pil pil were delicious. We really had a very good meal. The service is also very friendly. Highly recommended, and pleasantly busy too!!

We had a very good afternoon and a great meal, but what wasn't okay was that they hadn't charged our bill correctly. It was just not okay to have to check this twice. After payment, they did make a calculation, so we did get a refund, but this really shouldn't happen beforehand. So people, check your bill carefully!!!

Fine and friendly service on a cozy and pleasant terrace. The asparagus soup and the chef's sandwich (bavette with butter sauce and fries) were delicious.

The lunch special was quite mediocre. The soup was way too spicy. A simple croquette on a plain slice of bread. They could make it a bit more interesting. The service was fine, though.

Had lunch at Pierrot. Polite service, no long wait even though the terrace was full. The food was fine and plentiful. For 3 people, including 1 drink, under 50 euros is also reasonably priced.

Nice, traditional pub/restaurant. The food was good, and the prices were very reasonable. A mistake in the kitchen was quickly corrected with an apology. You can go there with confidence.

Super fun! Hot chocolate milk with whipped cream. Our expectations were high because the whipped cream costs €1.20, so I didn't ask if it was real whipped cream. WRONG! A spray can. Such a shame...how much does real whipped cream cost? Not again...

Nice restaurant and bar in the centre of Hanzecity Zutphen. The establishment is well located in the shopping area and has a nice terrace outside. The drinks were good. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. The food unfortunately was reasonable but rather expensive.

Well... what happens when something isn't bad, but also not tasty? In this case, unfortunately, it was quite bland. A panini that claimed to be flatbread (so don't order this if you're expecting a panini). The toppings were also completely uninspiring. The forgotten cheese from an average student fridge has more flavor (I think). The service was very friendly, though!

RECOMMENDED! As always, it was pleasantly busy on the terrace, but luckily there was still a table available for four people plus a stroller. I've been here several times, and as always, the service and food were top-notch! The staff was very friendly and always arrived at exactly the right time. The food didn't take long and looked and tasted delicious. Unfortunately, I don't live in Zutphen myself, but when I'm there for a day, I always stop by Pierrot!

Nice visit to Pierrot. Then on the way home. Turns out I forgot my bag! Back home in Kampen I sent an email. It was no problem at all, they sent my bag back to me at their expense. Kudos to Renske

We were able to film the products of Grand Café Pierrot in the basement, a beautiful location. The staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable! After filming we got to taste the dishes and it was a great experience. The spare ribs and pineapple carpaccio were absolute favorites – delicious and perfectly prepared. Definitely recommended for those looking for a cozy place with good food! 🍽️👏

Beautiful location on the timber market. Lovely terrace. Friendly staff. The food is fine but not special. For example, the eggs are served on a normal slice of bread. Great food, but not worth it compared to a catering establishment that puts in a little more effort.

Delicious Dutch steak with herb butter, lettuce and fries.

The food was delicious, the chicken satay was tender with a delicious satay sauce, I felt like I had to wait a while before I could order my food, but it came to the table quickly! In short, very satisfied with this case!

Beautiful, large terrace with heaters, a pleasant hustle and bustle inside and a casual atmosphere. Extensive menu with dishes for a very reasonable price. So that looks good, but what followed was quite a shock. Previously we had been somewhat disappointed by cold cherry tomatoes with the main course, which was also served on a cold plate (yes, we said something about it and would pass them on every time...), now we looked at each other in surprise when the main courses were served. served. With a main course you expect a meal that, possibly in combination with a starter, is filling and leaves you feeling satisfied. My cod on a rocket stew was (really) 3 x 5 cm in size and covered about half of the scoop of stew on the plate. On the cold (!) plate. In other words: it was a starter for the price of a main course. High personnel costs and a large terrace will undoubtedly have an impact on the company's finances, but such elementary mistakes in the kitchen and such deep cuts in the size of a dish are unfortunately the breaking point for us. Looking at what was placed on the other tables it was clear that this is policy and not a one-off mistake. Shame. I don't see how I can respond to Pierrot's owner's response, so I'll go this way. First of all, respect for taking the time to respond, but you are confusing us with someone else. It's been a while since our visit and what you describe doesn't apply to us!

Quite a nice place to sit. Food was a bit disappointing. I had the luxurious mussels with cream sauce. Never before have I had so many empty mussels that were not at the bottom. And the mussels that were there are very small. Too bad for the price of €26.95.

Very nice lunch. My wife had a brie sandwich and I had a hot meat sandwich. The service was good, friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere even though it was almost full.

Yesterday we wanted to end with a terrace after a day in Zutphen. ordered a glass of Chardonnay. when it came it was very yellow, the taste was very nasty. so no Chardonnay but something very nasty. called the waitress, but she didn't want to know anything, because they had a sommelier! no solution. we had to pay because they had delivered! yes, a failure. paid and left. very disappointing and very unprofessional.

It's wonderful to sit here, apple pie is highly recommended.

We ate outside and had a few drinks afterwards.

5 juli 2024 Grand Cafe Pierrot bezocht. Ten eerste om het concert van het harmonie orkest Excelsior, Warnsveld te beluisteren (vanaf het buiten terras), om aansluitend binnen van het diner te geniet. Wat een ambiance, wat een behulpzaam en gastvrij personeel (die ons de hele avond super snel van een drankje en een maaltijd hebben voorzien. Een aanrader!

Gelegen aan een leuk plein. Fijn terras met heaters. Vriendelijke bediening, enthousiaste jonge dame. Mijn echtgenote nam de mosterdsoep, vond ze erg lekker. Ikzelf brood met kroketten, ook lekker. Attentiepuntje is het serveren van de boter, direct uit de diepvries. Niet te smeren dus.

Cozy terrace in the center of Zutphen. Nice wines and friendly service. I noticed that everyone in Zutpen is so friendly. Delicious asparagus, beautifully al dente, served with well-baked salmon. Top.

Gezellig terras in centrum van Zutphen. Lekkere wijntjes en vriendelijke bediening. Viel me zowiezo op dat iedereen in Zutpen zo vriendelijk is. Heerlijke asperges gegeten, mooi al dente met goed gebakken zalm erbij. Top.

Pulled chicken sandwich, what a dry mess, baked sandwich, lettuce leaf and pulled chicken dumped dry on top with mango sauce stripes on the plate instead of on the chicken. No attention paid at all It calls itself a grand café, baker Bart is better!!!
