A nice atmosphere, welcoming staff, delicious food

It was okay. We had reserved as a group with a 2-course tapas menu. I found both courses mediocre. The food tasted as if it had been prepared well in advance. I liked the fries and olives the best. The mini hamburger was tasteless and the spare ribs were really greasy. Unfortunately, not worth repeating for me.

As excellent as the service was, the food was just as disappointing. We opted for the deluxe 3-course menu. What is supposed to be deluxe about it is unclear to me. The starter consisted of a lukewarm glass of soup and 3 small tapas that looked like they came straight from the Albert Heijn snack section. With the meat main course (which was good), there was only a small bowl of fries and a bowl of apple. No vegetables or anything like that. The grande dessert was uninspired: a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, a piece of brownie, and cheesecake in a small glass. Not worth repeating for us.

The emphasis is more on the various drinks than on the food. The food is simply good: not outstanding, but certainly not bad either. The dishes lacked some 'flavor', something that elevates the food above average. Excellent, fast service on a (noisy) terrace.

Bad food for a much too high price.

I am giving 1 star because I found the tapas menu truly extremely disappointing. Very meager (incredibly few bites for what you pay...), lukewarm, far too greasy, and the nachos (tiny portion) were completely soggy and chewy... I won't even mention the prawns... In the end, we just left it; we simply couldn't finish it. Very regrettable, but I have never experienced anything so bad (truly unappetizing...)... The price was really way too expensive... Gordon Ramsay could do a good deed here as far as I'm concerned...

We sat comfortably in the shade on the terrace. The service initially seemed quite attentive, but as time went on, it deteriorated. Also, the "bittergarnituur" doesn't deserve the name bittergarnituur. 8 cheap snacks of B-quality. 😢. A missed opportunity. Just serve tasty snacks for a slightly higher price, if necessary, but this is really unacceptable.

Had a great lunch; vegetarian nachos as a starter and beef tenderloin rolls with teriyaki sauce for lunch. Tasty, not too much, just enough. Something to look forward to next time.

Great lunch restaurant with reasonable prices.

Yesterday, we departed for Zutphen as an outing with the staff association (140 people), with De Revolutie serving as our 'base' for coffee and (delicious) pastries in the morning, an extensive lunch in the afternoon, and a buffet dinner in the evening. It was truly impressive to see how the team at De Revolutie prepared and managed the day like a well-oiled machine. Despite our group size, there was attention for everyone, plenty of food, and it was very tasty too. No run-of-the-mill buffet or lunch; they really made something special out of it. It is evident in everything that the standards here are high. We received compliments from many colleagues regarding the location. Many considered this the tastiest and most organizationally successful dining experience we have had so far during a staff association outing. Mimi and team, thank you!

It has been a really long time since I ate so badly for quite a bit of money. One tapas assortment consisting of a date with goat cheese and bacon, a toast with tuna on top, and a small soup. A bowl of mushrooms, one piece of salmon wrap. Perhaps the menu could be made a bit clearer. We thought it was a free choice of 10 dishes. But really, 10 cheap, disgusting bites. And to finish, a cliché dessert. A so-called 3-course tapas menu for 1 adult and a 9-year-old child, and then 41.50 p.p. Truly bizarre!!!

We were practically sitting on our neighbors' laps and could hear every word of their conversation. You really don't want that when you're out for a nice dinner. We chose the 3-course set menu; it tasted good. But what surprised us was that the main course came with meat and a very small amount of grilled vegetables. When we asked if fries were included, we were told that you had to order them separately; this wasn't mentioned beforehand. Okay, fine, but €9 for 2 mini bowls of fries is disproportionate. Whereas if you order the dish separately, fries are included, which we find a bit strange. To end on a positive note, tap water is served free of charge. That is greatly appreciated. Initially, I had given this restaurant 3 stars based on my findings as described above. This restaurant takes reviews seriously, responds quickly, and looks for a good solution. That is why I am ultimately giving 4 stars.

We had a delicious meal. We were welcomed very kindly. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily we still had a table. The food arrived quickly, even though it was quite busy. The meat was perfectly cooked in all three dishes.

We had a really fun and educational cocktail workshop at De Revolutie. Each person was allowed to make two, and everything was clearly explained to us. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Definitely recommended if you love cocktails.

Delicious food: mixed grill, prawn fajitas, and tenderloin salad. Very friendly staff. The devilishly spicy seasoning was (too) mildly seasoned today, though. The kitchen's open position in the middle of the restaurant is a nice concept.

The door was already held open for us, so a warm welcome. We were here for lunch and from what I saw on the menu, you can also have dinner here. The restaurant is warm and cozy, the staff is friendly and our food was very tasty. What I would have liked is if there had been a Cuban beer on the menu. If I have read completely over it, I would like to come back again to taste it, but the Duvel tasted great to me too! 😉

This weekend we ate again at the Revolution. The food tasted fine, but several dishes were lukewarm. Last year they simply forgot about us. Then waited more than 1.5 hours for the food. This weekend it took a very long time again. First we waited a while for the starter, but then 45 minutes after the starter, still no main course. The waiter asked if we would get food that evening. About 3 minutes after my question the main course arrived. Unfortunately, our experience at the Revolution is not getting any better. I hope something is done with the comment. It's a nice place to eat in itself.

Het zag er binnen wat goedkoop en donker uit, niet echt gezellig. We hadden tomatensoep met brood gekozen. Er werd ons verzekerd dat het huisgemaakt was. Maar daar leek het niet op. Geen groenten, geen garnituur, alleen de bekende dikke rode soep. Het was niet erg lekker en ook erg zout. Twee hapjes brood erbij, kosten 9,50 per persoon.

You can get the best cocktails here and this has been my go-to restaurant for a pleasant evening for a long time. The prices are between 9.5 and 12.50 euros. The food is fantastic too. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great

My girlfriend and I walked in to ask if we could sit outside. The answer was “Yes, of course”. Once outside they completely forgot about us and no one came. Very dissatisfied.

Unexpectedly stepped inside. We come from the Zaan region to shop in Zutphen twice a year and always had a different permanent spot for this evening where we stopped for a break. So now for the first time at the Revolution, which doesn't really sound like a restaurant. The atmosphere was surprisingly cozy and the staff was more than adequate. We really enjoyed the food and it reminds us of a classy restaurant in Playa de Aro in Spain. Big 9 people.....going to experience that sometime.🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had a super fun evening with some dance friends (Latin dance). This location was a perfect fit. Everyone sat happily for hours. And vegan options too!

Last Sunday we sat outside here and drank good coffee. In the evening we came back for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily there was room in this cozy restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly with a sense of humor. The kitchen is practically in the middle of the shop, so you can clearly see what's happening, which is also nice if you have a table nearby. More importantly, the food is really good. We opted for the three-course tapas menu. You can indicate exactly what you want or are not allowed to eat, because you do not like something or because of an allergy. For us it was a surprise menu and we did not regret it. The dessert included delicious creamy ice cream, real whipped cream, and super soft panacotta, delicious! My husband opted for nachos as a starter, which was a decent bite, spare ribs for the main course and ice cream for dessert. He liked it very much. Round the barrel and have a wonderful evening!

Drinks and service fine, but it's better to just stick with it, the food is simply of dramatic quality. You can't call this food. With the airfyer at home you get 3x better results...

Had a fantastic evening at the Revolution! The woman who served us did a great job, she was fast, friendly and she thought along with us. The food was really delicious, we haven't eaten this well in a long time! Had a truly unforgettable evening!

I think this is a fantastic place for good food, they serve good sized portions. There is friendly and attentive staff, the holiday feeling in your own city. Delicious! I was unlucky that my chicken (fajitas) was a bit pink and I didn't dare eat it anymore. But there was such a delicious abundance of fresh vegetables that I could fill all my wraps to the brim and go home very satisfied and full. By the way, they very nicely offered to make a doggy bag. I'm sure a new dish would have been created if I had expressed my doubts. But I had more than enough goodies on my plate, so this restaurant is definitely recommended for big eaters ;) Nice place, I will definitely come back!

Nice opportunity and atmosphere. Ate in a large group and therefore perhaps not very special in terms of the menu presented. Had a nice experience and friendly and attentive staff. It's also nice to see the chefs creating in the middle of the restaurant.

Beautiful interior. Good food. The staff politely told me that they were understaffed and that food could take a little longer, but I had no problem with that. Because if you're going to a terrace or to eat out, why should you have to leave within an hour? I hate that. Here we took some time on the terrace while enjoying a cocktail (well-mixed cocktails, corona cocktail recommended), long ice tea, a little too much tequila, but also great. In summary, a great experience. Staff was pleasant and nice, willing to go the extra mile and helpful even though they were under staffed.

A cozy restaurant in the heart of Zutphen. You can enjoy delicious food and drinks there and the welcome was heart-warming from the friendly staff! There is a toilet for women and men and also for disabled people. We will definitely come back again!

The food was really good, also not cheap so that fits the expectation! We had a table booked for 5pm, intentionally earlier due to a baby in our group of 7. We ordered as one of the first tables that night and sadly waited for ever to get the food, in the end we got our main dishes around 6:35pm. I do believe that this is not normal and we were told something went wrong and there were new people in the kitchen. As it was a invitation for family members birthday and as I said including a baby it was sadly a very disappointing visit. Would still recommend, the food was good.

Have been here before. Always good food. The mushrooms beforehand are especially delicious. Sufficient and tasty vegetarian options. Are always satisfied. Also with a terrace overlooking the shopping street. Perhaps a point, on a full evening it is very busy in the restaurant. A little more space between the tables would be nice. But for me that's the only thing. Great business.

On a beautiful and sunny spring day in May we settled on the half-empty terrace of De Rvolution. It was just under half past one, so the ideal time to look for a terrace, because from around one o'clock onwards it always gets very busy on terraces and Zutphen is no exception. The terrace of De Rvolution is located on the border of the Houtmarkt and the Zaadmarkt opposite the fountain and is much better situated for the direction of the sun than the terraces on the other side that are full of the sun (excellent for all people who later want "spots" on their skin) and where you also have to constantly look into the sun. The chairs on the terrace of De Rvolution are also much more comfortable. We were quickly helped by a friendly young lady and ordered a tripel and a cappuccino. She only had Grimbergen tripel, she said, but that was also stated on the menu + it was after 12 o'clock, so every tripel is a faithful companion for the rest of the afternoon. We also ordered a cone of fries, which were delivered even earlier than the drinks: rare, but otherwise no problem. Delicious hot fries, not that thin mess or fries with those wrinkled potato skins with their skins still on: no, no, here are thick, firm fries as they should be! The amount of fries sauce (unfortunately no mayonnaise) is always disappointing... you can easily use 3x as much. That's why we always carry a bottle of Remia fries sauce in our backpack, so we can simply top it up! Location 5 stars, fries 5 stars, cappuccino 5 stars, tripel 5 stars, service 5 stars: our pocket calculator then arrives at an average of 5 stars 👍

You pay for the location. Drinks are very expensive. Service minimal. Espresso: €3.50. Water (20 ml): €3.50. Half liter of Grolsch: €7.00!!!!!!! Paris is cheaper. Update in response to owner's comment: I pay less for half a liter in Utrecht than you do. Just outside Zutphen €5.00. It is true that almost every catering business in Zutphen charges these whipped cream prices. That does not alter the fact that they will remain whipped cream prices. Anyway, the result is that people will stay on your terrace for hours with one cup of coffee. About the service; have no idea what the cocktail of the month is, long wait for bill, unfriendly. UPDATE: Instead of contacting Google, why not improve your service?

Delicious food, open kitchen. Good atmosphere!

This is a good place to get something to eat and drink after a walk through the old part of Zutphen. I had a tosti with ham and cheese and a coffee: both were very good. The ambience is agreeable, and the service is friendly.

Dinner at five o'clock tonight. The food was excellent, the service was cheerful and enthusiastic, which also made the atmosphere nice. The kitchen is in a corner of the restaurant so you can see how they prepare the food with care. Was fun to see. All in all, definitely worth repeating.

The atmosphere is nice when it is a bit busier, otherwise the cocktails we had were very weak, as if there was no alcohol in them. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the nachos and appetizers. The appetizer portions were very small for the price and the nachos were literally chips from a bag! No fresh cream, guacamole or cheese on top. The chip itself tasted good, I have to admit
