Delicious fresh food, only waited 10 minutes for it. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Would definitely come back here!!!

It is not bad, but the food would be nice to have a bit more flavor, and there is way too much sweet sauce. Unfortunately, the quality of HC is gone. The staff is nice, though.

If you're in the area I guess it's ok. But I wouldn't go out of my way. We waited for almost an hour for a couple of babi rolls.

I went back to Charlie Chui for the first time in 30 years; I used to eat at CS a few times a week. Unfortunately, not much of the original menu is left. It is now little more than low-budget Asian fast food. For example, if you used to order rice with chicken, you got real chicken; now it's a sort of dry Bidfood nuggets. I'll be back in 30 years.

Tasty food and cheap too. But the restaurant can be a bit noisy.

1 star because we had to wait over an hour for our food on a Monday evening. The times are also not communicated to the customers. Orders frequently do not match the contents, and ingredients are regularly forgotten in the wok. We will not be returning.

I'm back here for the first time in years. Unfortunately, they also have those crazy ordering kiosks, making human contact difficult, and the kitchen staff doesn't speak Dutch. The sandwich I actually came for is sold out; how on earth can a "bang" sandwich at Charlie's be gone???

It's nice to pay for fried onions you don't get, the standard vegetable mix is ​​awful. Plus, there's barely any stir-fry sauce in the dish.

Don't go here, I ordered a chicken wrap without vegetables and just got it with onion in it and when I wanted my money back I got nothing

The dinner was really good, and we had noodles with chicken toppings and a little spicy. If you want to eat nice Chinese, you can try the food here.

If you would like to eat Asian cuisine , this place is great. The quantity & taste is worth the price. I have been there a couple of times, and the food is great. My favourite is the Nasi ( make your own choice ) with black bean sauce. They also have a kids menu available.

Very rich, varied and fast several vegetarian and vegan options

I have been coming here for almost 15 years and from day 1 they have, in my opinion, had the best wok dishes in the whole of the Netherlands. Come there regularly. It is also Halal meat, so as a Muslim you can eat with peace of mind. You have a wide choice of dishes, but my favorite remains the Nasi with Talapia Fish and Spicy Soy Sauce.

There wasn't much flavor to it. But it was fine to eat. It's a shame that they give you wooden cutlery when you eat there.

We used to sit at the station in Utrecht. I then grabbed some food and liked the burgers!! Now 20 years later we looked it up again because we were in the area. Well never again!! The hotshot burger had barely any lettuce (very cheap lettuce too) and almost no sauce, but it was still quite tasty, the Burger with chicken was also okay, the fries were worthless, there was little wok and very thin meat in it, broccoli was not cut small, there were whole stems attached!. And the fish burger, oh dear, it smelled terrible and tasted very strong, I have no idea whether it was/was any good..... I didn't eat it any further........ If only I had gone to the toilet first before ordering, because someone had not made it to the toilet in time, large drops of thin poop on the floor, that was really gross, I left immediately and never came back!!!

I just found out that as a 5-year-old child I always bought the famous burger here every week (at the old Utrecht central station). Every now and then I thought back to this restaurant, but I could never remember the name, only the delicious taste of those burgers that I was always allowed to pull from the wall. Today I finally found out the name! And I know I can order my favorite burger!

I got chicken wraps 3 times today. NOT TO EAT! NEVER AGAIN, FIRST AND LAST TIME!! Not customer friendly either. And they don't normally serve a lot of fries, that's really not normal, and the fries aren't even done yet. My family is in the toilet because of this. A nice waste of €30.00. We ended up leaving it on the table. I hope they do something about it.

I've been coming here for years and the food never disappoints. There is everything and you can also put together your own wok! Employees are always friendly and customer-friendly! Enough parking space and it's also free, which is also very nice.

Quiet place. The Asian food tastes good. The coffee and tea taste fine. I miss some sweetness with the coffee and tea.

Well located, close to the shopping center. Orders are placed on a machine, which leads to less human contact. We receive a number, we then go to pick up our orders at the counter. In the evening the restaurant closes early for on-site dining (8:30 p.m.). We have been coming here for years to eat kipsate. However, this time we found that the chicken was very salty and we had to have extra sate sauce. The value for money is good and the dishes are tasty. The vegetables are fresh and the satay sauce is good. The place to eat is unfortunately less friendly and warm. There is also a terrace.

Unfortunately they changed the hot shot menu. The burger itself is just from Mecca food and is not tasty at all. I hope they start using the old halal burgers because a mecca food burger doesn't belong and doesn't fit in at all!

I think you can get vegan options through customizing but I think they put kroekpoek on top of the wok dishes, which are prawn crackers. There wasn't an option to specify not adding those when ordering through the computer. The food itself is fine.

Wow just hugely disappointed, chicken satay menu is not what it used to be, I had to look for the satay sauce. The composition of the salad has also changed, such a shame! My husband ordered a chicken curry menu and it was just curry sauce with 3 pieces of chicken... Huge disappointment! Hopefully you will get back to how it was soon!

I really like eating here, the service is fast, the food is hot, the seating area is large, there is a lot of choice, the portions are quite big and the taste of the food is really good, your food is as you always wanted.

Tasteless greasy bite, pay extra for toppings that you have to look carefully for. Only suitable for those who don't know what stir-frying (or good food at all) is.

Rude staff, shouting at each other and barely paying attention to customers. Very mediocre nasi, tasteless and wet. Chicken satay is ok. Not to be repeated.

Don't go to wok to go, eazie or any other mediocre takeaway. Charlie Chiu's really has the tastiest wok! You can order online in the restaurant.

It's horrible that you have to give order from a machine like you are in one of these cheapass MCdonalds shops. How can you devalue your brand?! And no cash!? Is this China? I wonder if they are prepping for CDBC's,too? Whats next? I wish they were more customer friendly and cash friendly. It's a shame, we love Charlie's wok and enjoyed for many many years. We had really good memories with kids, where the cooks used to make shows and interact with them, just a couple of years ago. We moved away but still travelled to this restaurant just to support the business and enjoy the food. Sadly that customer friendly and cosy environment is not there anymore. We will find another place that accepts cash and more customer friendly.

This is not about the atmosphere, but about the delicious food. Whenever we are in Utrecht, we will definitely visit here!

I have been a regular customer for a long time and always have great food! Waiting times can be long because they do takeout, delivery and dine-in. So TIP order online in advance via their website!! I think it's cheaper too. The wok noodles and chicken satay are highly recommended.

Unfortunately not what it used to be anymore. Memory wins over the present. Both the pang sandwich and the hotshot. The place was nice and clean. Had to wait a while for the order. But a large order had been placed for us. Completely understood this.

Komen vaak hier als we naar begraafplaats Daelwijk in Utrecht zijn geweest. Wel elke keer zie je andere eigenaars of ander personeel. Eten is lekker en veel.ik neem meestal de Thaise curry kip schotel en mijn vriend broodje foeyonghay. Koffie en fanta en dan terug naar huis Amsterdam

Waren hier gisteren je moet via scherm bestellen maar deze waren buiten gebruik en toen aan de Balie gevraagd of je kon bestellen Nee dat kon niet en via de app ook niet zeer slecht hier moet echt wat aan gedaan worden dit is niet hoe je met klanten omgaat

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. De sfeer kan wel wat beter.

Doorgaans vriendelijk personeel. Ik/we komen daar al tientallen jaren en kennen ondertussen wel een paar namen van personeel. Eten is OK maar sinds ze een andere leverancier hebben voor de zoet/zure saus vind ik het eten toch wat minder daardoor. Saus is meer zoet en lijkt wel op gewone Thai sweet chili saus. Bestellen doe je online of via een bestel kiosk en als het klaar is wordt je bestel nummer omroepen in het Engels. Prijzen zijn langzaamaan gestegen maar het vult wel de maag.

Ótima comida, farta refeição e apimentada se desejar.

Goed restaurant, maar ze hebben geen zoetigheid.

Het was al een tijdje geleden dat ik wat bij Charlie Chiu's had gegeten. Dit keer bestelde ik Chicken Oriental met friet. Helaas waren de kipstukjes hard en droog. Totaal overgefrituurd en kneiterhard. Tevens was de hoeveelheid friet nogal overdadig, echt teveel. De hoeveelheid groenten was daarentegen wat aan de magere kant evenals de hoeveelheid kip.

Ik heb hier heerlijk gegeten. De bami was erg lekker. De lekkerbek was iets minder, maar prima.

Glad that your typical Asian restaurant embraces technology with self order schemes. While they serve wok type dishes it is not in your usual paper boxes but they still use actual glass plates. Food is quite typical but at least has some flavour.

Vandaag weer een menu besteld, broodje kip en patatjes. Maar viel tegen, de smaak was prima maar ze geven minder patat en het broodje is meer gevuld met groente dan met kip. Voorheen was ik super tevreden maar nu teleurgesteld. De prijzen zijn ook verhoogd, maar je krijgt minder voor je geld.

Zelfscan, vette rommel, en totaal geen service die past bij de sfeer. Als eigenaar zou ik direct ander personeel aanstellen. Jammer, had hogere verwachtingen.

Op zich een prettige plek om wat te lunchen of te dineren. Maar er zijn vreemde keuzes gemaakt door de eigenaar. Waarom zou je cashgeld weigeren en klanten dwingen gebruik te maken van een bestelpaal waar je een bestelling kan doorgeven. Er is bijna geen sprake meer van een kassa. Menu's zijn steeds hetzelfde. Waarom geen nieuwe broodjes of menu's? Of een milkshakeapparaat? Om maar iets te noemen.

Charlie Chiu zit helaas niet meer op HC, maar bestaat gelukkig nog wel! Broodje Pang smaakt nog steeds als 25 jaar geleden en de service is als vanouds. Blijf alsjeblieft nóg 25 jaar bestaan!

Charlie Chiu zit al lange tijd op winkelcentrum Overvecht. Heeft ook een tijd een vestiging in Hoog Catharijne gehad. Ze hebben heerlijke wokgerechten en gerechten als saté met friet en salade of een Thaise curry. Ook is er ruime keuze uit Aziatische broodjes. Als je in het restaurant zit wordt er gestimuleerd om via een QR code te bestellen met je telefoon. Dit hoeft niet. Het restaurant is nog coronaproof ingericht met plexiglasplaten e.d.. De drankjes zijn zeer betaalbaar. Het eten is goed en wordt leuk opgediend in een ovalen schaal. Een nadeeltje is dat de tafels niet frequent schoongemaakt worden. Het is verder een drukbezocht restaurant met een gezellige sfeer.

Als ik in Utrecht ben probeer ik er altijd even langs te gaan is het niet voor een broodje hotshot dan wel voor noedels met van alles er bij, gisteren ook weer langs geweest en zo als altijd was het weer heerlijk. Top weer

Persoonlijk vonden wij het fijn om via QR code te bestellen en ge betalen. Binnen 20 minuten was ons eten klaar; noodles, wrap, bami en rijst met groente. Het eten was ruim voldoende en smaakvol. Wij zijn fan en komen zeker terug.
