Good atmosphere, cozy terrace. We ordered the 12 o'clock snack. The bottom of the fried egg sandwich was hard, almost burnt. The staff were accommodating but still had to pay almost 40 euros for an iced tea, a coffee, and two 12 o'clock snacks. Such a shame.

After sitting outside for fifteen minutes, we asked if we could order something, but unfortunately, she wasn't authorized to take orders. I asked for the lunch menu, which she was happy to give us. After half an hour, no one had come to take our order. We just left; it was a hopeless endeavor.

Chez André is a lovely spot right along the canal, with a charming view and a relaxed vibe. The service is warm and welcoming, the food is excellent, and there’s a convenient street parking nearby — perfect for an easy, enjoyable visit.

Delicious coffee and cake, and the pastries were also delicious. I even came back the next day for lunch with another friend. And that was also very good.

Good, efficient service, wide selection, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended, as it's located right on Brielle's shopping pier.

Lovely terrace and reasonably fast service. I just don't understand why one person only serves, another takes orders, and yet another settles the bill. Often, you want to order drinks right away when lunch is served, and that's simply not possible. Large portions, excellent quality, served quickly, and, especially by today's standards, very reasonable prices. Definitely recommended.

Wat een onbeschofte meiden lopen er rond een lang gezicht en chagrijnig kijken geen normaal antwoord te krijgen als je iets vraagt. Personeel dus heel slecht!!! Mensen die alleen wat wilde drinken moesten 2x van plaats wisselen te gek voor woorden. Zonde van deze zaak vroeger goed maar nu niet meer.

Heerlijk geluncht aan het water. Prijs kwaliteit zeer goed. Serveerster die alles op neemt en afrekent deskundig. Aandachtspunt jonge serveersters die komen brengen beter instrueren dat ze ook de tafels afruimen. Liepen nu met lege handen terug. Is een beetje jammer.

I emailed the following to Chez André. No response, so I'm posting it here: We always enjoyed coming here for lunch with the family, but our recent visit to Chez André in Brielle was utterly disappointing. The atmosphere among the staff was awkward and chaotic. A woman—presumably the manager—was gossiping loudly with a few young employees, right in the middle of the restaurant, audible to all the guests. Meanwhile, little attention was paid to the service. When a waitress asked for help, she was completely ignored. We were given red wine instead of red port, and even when it was corrected, we received the port in wine glasses. After that, no one bothered us, and we had to repeatedly ask for attention ourselves. The checkout was the absolute worst: my 83-year-old father had to wait a long time at the cash register while the staff were doing other things. When I raised my voice, I was treated unfriendly. Only after I raised my voice did someone reluctantly come to help. All in all, this visit was far from hospitable. We suspect we weren't the only ones who felt this way. It's a shame, because it was always a great place. Hopefully, something will be done with this feedback – but for now, we won't be coming back.

The food is certainly good and plentiful, but the service is a bit chaotic and the atmosphere could use some improvement. We'll definitely come back for the food.

The food was fine, but ordering dessert was not possible. After hearing 'I'll be with you shortly, ma'am' three times, we were fed up. After all, they have coffee and apple pie everywhere. The kitchen can be as good as it can be, it's the service that makes the picture. Really a shame.

We sat here last Saturday. We were helped by a friendly young lady. What was unfortunately very disturbing was the way in which this young lady was taught by her manager. This was done in a disrespectful and conspicuous manner. I have often noticed that the atmosphere between the staff is not so pleasant. As a guest you are not sitting there eating in a relaxed way.

Went to beautiful Brielle on May 5. Tried to have lunch at chez Andre on this busy day.. Unfortunately it didn't work... partly because we waited more than an hour for our order. These days are very busy. I took this into account to some extent, but ultimately decided to leave... Tip for the future... with days and festivities like this... use a customized menu... this will relieve the pressure on the staff... and the guests will also understand this... unfortunately not a good experience...

Worst place in all of Brielle and surrounding areas. Waiting 40 (!!!) minutes for 3 sandwiches, one piece off your plate, no one asking if you would like something to drink or whether it tastes good and ultimately an incorrect bill. No apologies or anything. (Service completely uninterested, but it also appears that they are paid ridiculously in terms of salary and even have to regularly go after their own money... not even an allowance for holidays.) Once but never again!!

Had a late lunch today, the weather was great, the terrace was fairly full. There were more than enough girls serving, which was a pity that we were ignored for more than 15 minutes. And then we had to speak to 2 girls from the service to ask if we could finally order something. Both ladies were not authorized to take an order, after some time the lady who was allowed to do so came. Fortunately, after that we had a drink in 5 minutes, and lunch again 10 minutes later. While we were having lunch, the staff complained a lot among themselves, and they also made these expressions right next to our table. I understand that the season is starting and that it can be busy. But don't complain to a customer, first consider whether you want to work in the hospitality industry... I have been coming to André for years, but you notice that the feeling is gone from your staff. Shame man! I would prefer to give you 5 stars. Because the food, price and quality are top!

Today we had lunch on the terrace of Chez Andre... Everything was right at this restaurant (lunchroom) They still exist 🙂!! Good "relaxed" service. Very good and diverse menu (and quite large) sandwiches, salads, etc. And very well maintained, maintained by the kitchen, so very fresh! Highly recommended to have lunch there when you are in Brielle!

We had a great brunch today with the 10 of us and we enjoyed it and everything was finished and more than enough. As usual, top service.

After a dip, Andre is almost completely back to his old excellent quality. The vulgar staff has been replaced by friendly staff. The food is tasty and well prepared. Nice that we can enjoy ourselves at Chez Andre again.

We have been coming to Chez Andre every week for years, but lately we have been annoyed by the service. We even walked away from the terrace for the first time because we were completely ignored. We know that there is a staff shortage, but if there are 5 tables occupied on the terrace, of which we are one, and there are 2 girls walking around, you don't want to wait fifteen minutes without someone coming to you to take your order or at least someone letting you know that she has seen you and will come to you. André, your employees really need to do this better! This has been happening for a long time now. It's a shame because the food and the fresh pastries and cake with the coffee are fantastic. (3 stars for the atmosphere, because inside it is cozy but very dated)

What a cozy place to have a cup of coffee and of course with cake I had the apple pie with it and that was a great pleasure just like my mother used to make them. Staff is also super friendly and hospitable and the place itself I love these kind of tents cozy old-fashioned atmosphere with a modern touch and super nice sitting.

The food arrives blackened, and then you have to ask what is wrong with it... The lady behind the cash register thinks it is normal to shake her head no at her customers when you indicate that something is not edible. All in all, not worth repeating.

A friend and I had lunch here on Thursday. Upon entering you will immediately receive a friendly welcome from the staff. No pushing at the table, not ready yet? This was no problem. We ordered a pea soup and the Chez Andre 12 o'clock. I took the latter myself, it was more than enough for lunch and tasted delicious. I would love to come back here again.

Atmospheric restaurant in the beautiful city of Brielle. It was (not annoyingly) busy and we enjoyed it. There was a lot of choice from baguettes to salads. It's not too expensive. 65 euros for 4 people

Delicious lunch for my daughter's birthday I made a special reservation because she really wanted to have lunch here, both had a delicious club sandwich with salmon. But unfortunately no table had been reserved, but luckily there was still room. Because it was her birthday, she ordered a small bottle of prosecco, the intention was secretly, but the waitress didn't fully understand that, but that didn't make it any less delicious and enjoyable.

I regularly come here for lunch, but now I was there for high tea. These are given in the attic. The location is great, beautiful building and along the harbor. Unfortunately, the attic is not equipped with air conditioning. We were here on a fairly cloudy day, about 23 degrees, so that was really impossible. We drifted out of the tent. Very unfortunate because that made the experience a lot less pleasant. How much effort is it to provide air conditioning? The food was great. However, the snacks that come with a high tea came in courses, which meant that we were already completely full during my favorite course (the sweets). Also a bit of a shame. On the other hand, we did get everything to take home with us, so I could enjoy it at home. And the quality of the food is fantastic, really good.

Leuke zaak aan het water waar we al 2x met de boot makkelijk aan konden leggen. Veel jong en onervaren personeel dat super hun best doet en uiterst correct is. Huiswijnen rose en wit zijn van prima kwaliteit als ook het eten dat we hebben gehad.

Nice terrace on the water. Extensive lunch menu with excellent food. From pancakes to luxury sandwiches. Hamburgers and eel sandwich. Salads and waffles and pastries. The choice is huge. Only sitting indoors is not possible due to a shortage of staff? That's fine, adjust your tables to the available staff, not to the occupancy. More restaurants should do this.

I have been a loyal customer of Chez Andre for many years. It was the best restaurant in the area. You could have a delicious lunch or dinner there for a small price. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. The quality has deteriorated a lot. The friendly staff has left. The last time my 65-year-old wife was addressed with "listen, bitch," that was the famous last straw. It's a shame that the quality of the food and the staff cannot be kept as high, because I sincerely wish this hardworking Andre. But I won't be there anymore.

Tosti chez andre with too little minced meat, no sauce and if you ask for it you can pay 1.25 for a drop of chili sauce. Ordered fries 3.25 reasonable price, ordered peanut sauce and mayonnaise: paid 4.50, sauce more expensive than the fries…. Laughable and antisocial

Busy place in the heart of Brielle, reservations are a must, even during the week when it rains. Extensive menu, I think you will be helped fairly quickly (given how busy it is). The dishes are as described on the menu. I would have preferred Spa to Chaudfontaine. The three of us had lunch for €50 (1 dish + 1 drink for everyone).

Vervolgens bij de eigenaar geïnformeerd waarom geen gehoor aan mijn toch vrije simpele verzoek was gegeven. Deze antwoordde ijskoud dat het te druk was om een flesje olijfolie naar ons tafeltje te brengen. Uiteraard was het niet te druk om de rekening - waaraan niets werd gedaan - uit te serveren. Mijn advies? Vermijden deze lunchroom! Loop een stukje verder en eet een hapje of doe een drankje bij De Hoofdwacht of bij Momenti. Daar word je tenminste correct behandeld door vriendelijk personeel!

Sandwiches are delicious. It's always very busy. The atmosphere downstairs is cozy, but there are few places here. The atmosphere upstairs is a bit less.

Just been treated quite inappropriately by a grumpy employee behind the counter and cash register. This is really not possible! The food is always good and I am normally very positive about Chez (and also about the other employees). But this experience is a reason for me to look a few doors further from now on. Shame.

I ended up in this case more than a year ago, by sealing the purchase of our house, Always been fine until about 8 months ago, haven't been for months, let's take a look. Upon entering, we sat at the back of the store and had to immediately provide first aid to a person who became unwell. After the ambulance arrived, we sat down and with the hope that something of service would come our way, we came for coffee and lunch like in the old days. ... Unfortunately, the staff is very poorly trained, they walk around uninterested and pay no attention to the guest. In the end I had to order the coffee at the cash register myself, then sat for 45 minutes and no menu was offered, very sad that the staff walked around so blankly, probably from the King's Day before, what is also striking is that the staff looks very young, good advice put in a skilled person who will steer the entire group in the same direction, there is sufficient turnover in that store, so the service can only improve, which you will then see in rising figures. Service zero point zero, catering technically zero point zero, we were weekly guests, always once a week and sometimes twice a week.. Ultimately, we went to eat elsewhere where the attention was paid to the paying guest. Average 50 euros per time.. Don't get me wrong, the food is of sublime quality, so much is made 'in house', but the catering service to the 'paying' guest is far below standard, and they could use some guidance there. Check back in a year.
