Favorite restaurant in Brielle. The food is reasonably priced (cheapest of the Brielle restaurants, I think). Beer is a bit on the expensive side. Cozy terrace, the only real terrace in Brielle. Friendly staff.

Cozy and beautifully decorated in a beautiful location right in the heart of the city, I received a wonderful welcome. I enjoyed lunch here, including delicious soup and bread, and it was excellent. Compliments on the hospitality and service, and it's a wonderful place to come.

A very cozy, modern, and bustling bar. There are lovely places to sit both indoors and outdoors. Whether you're alone with a partner or with a group, you can find a spot for any size group. A cozy bar. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

We waited over an hour for our lunch. Everyone was served, but we didn't eat anything. We only paid for our drinks. One person responded, "We ordered 25 snacks," while another said it was busy, and I don't know how they work in the kitchen. The food we ordered was served next to us, so after paying for our drinks, we left. It's a shame the last time we were here; we were well served and the food was delicious. We won't be eating here again anytime soon!

Had lunch with colleagues today. There was something wrong with the dish. It happens, of course. The complaint was taken seriously immediately, and a new sandwich appeared shortly after. It was neatly resolved, and the service was excellent.

Super Food! Super Beer! Super Drinks!

Het terras zat bom vol ( gezellig ) , de bestelling van mijn vrouw en van mij was er binnen No time ongelofelijk en het was heerlijk. En ….. de prijs gewoontjes te betalen heerlijk, personeel vriendelijk. Wij komen uit Den Haag maar de horeca bij ons kan hier wat van leren .

Maybe it was the wrong day, the wrong time, but we were disappointed with the food. It started with an incorrect order at the table: rum, coke, and white wine, while we'd ordered beer and coke. Luckily, we were able to resolve this with the customers next to us. However, my beer was lukewarm and had gone flat in the glass. Our appetizer arrived quite quickly. The bread board was excellent, but the tomato soup was cold and lacked any heat. The taste was otherwise good. We had to wait a very long time for the main course, and both plates left much to be desired. The flavor was good, too. However, the fries were greasy and, judging by their color, fried in old grease, or they were cooking more than just fries in the grease, and were cold. The satay was cold, the meat was cold, and the schnitzel was also cold; the crust wasn't crispy. The mashed potatoes and fries were cold, and the toppings on both weren't fresh either. We rarely eat out, so for us, it should be a pleasant experience, but the price-quality ratio was downright poor.

Good food and top-notch service. Reasonably priced and portion sizes, considering the location. 😉Unfortunately, I don't know what remoulade is doing in a poke bowl...

Met 6 personen wat gedronken smerige lucht van vuilnisbakken door wankel tafeltje viel drankjes om gemeld evt doekje of misschien drankje van het huis voor de geleden schade , nee ze reageerden er niet eens op , je staat toch 50 euri af te tikken nee volgend keer lopen we hard voorbij

In de omgeving van "de hoofdwacht" zijn nog een flink aantal restaurantjes maar De hoofdwacht ligt wel het meest centraal en is ook de enige met een beetje groter terras. De naam is niet uit de lucht gegrepen want van hieruit werden de verschillende wachten voor de poorten geregeld. Wij hebben een dubbele espresso een een ice-tea genomen, waarvan de ice tea meer ijs dan ice-tea was en de dubbele espresso prima en dat allemaal voor wel een vriendelijke prijs.

The food was absolutely incredible!! I had the gnocchi with mushrooms. Others had the mega burger and the fried shrimps, which were also amazing! The service was very good and the atmosphere was very clean, professional and cozy.

Wat een gastvrij personeel ! We waren met een groep in Brielle en zijn voor de eerste koffie van die dag bij de Hoofdwacht terecht gekomen . Meteen viel de hartelijkheid op en hoe attent het personeel de terrasgangers in de gaten hield . Onze serveerster had geanticipeerd dat wij een groep ' ongeregeld ' waren en had de rekening al gesplitst . Zeer attent . Dus het was geen wonder dat we voor de avondmaaltijd ook weer bij de Hoofdwacht aanschoven. De bediening was weer zeer adequaat en snel . Ook de keuken liet zich niet onberoerd en leverde een heerlijke maaltijd . Zes maal Schnitzel en 1 eenzame kip met spek . Het smaakte allemaal even goed . Maar de meeste lof gaat toch naar het attente personeel , allemaal even klantgericht !

Zeer slechte klachtafhandeling! Met 2 vriendinnen geluncht en ik heb op deze warme dag een broodje brie besteld. Fris en romig dacht ik, lekker. Op de kaart staat niet dat het broodje met warme brie is, want daar had ik helemaal geen zin in met die warmte, maar de brie was gesmolten. Ik zat er tegen heug en meug wat happen van te eten. Volgens de dame van de bediening die er door een meisje was bijgehaald, wordt het broodje inderdaad met warme brie geserveerd en kunnen ze er niet aan beginnen allerlei details extra op de kaart te zetten. Omdat ik al van het broodje gegeten had (2 happen) kon ze het bedrag niet van de rekening halen maar kon ik wel een ander broodje bestellen. En dat zou dan gewoon ook in rekening gebracht worden. Ik was perplex. Wat een geweldige oplossing had deze dame verzonnen, wat een gastvrijheid en service!! Ik zou zeggen, mocht u hier een broodje willen eten, rap doorlopen of u laat zich het gerecht van A tot Z uitleggen, want je weet maar nooit welk detail er is weggelaten !

Pleasantly surprised with dishes presentation and taste which is sorry to say not so typical to have both qualities in Dutch cuisine ; ) always considered this place as a typical beer pub , but for sure menu is worth to try not to mention beer variety

A very cozy location for a drink or a delicious meal!

Disappointing with last year, burger was pre-cooked and then prepared but was not completely hot, and the cheese on top had not yet melted. We spoke to the waiter who said it was normal to pre-cook otherwise we would have had to wait too long.

Nice and cozy restaurant located in a beautiful old historic building in the heart of Brielle. The building itself dates from 1789 and was designed by lieutenant engineer Johannes van Westenhout. It is not a Michelin star restaurant, but an excellent choice for the price. In addition to a nice menu, they have a particularly wide range of specialty beers. The staff is also super friendly and hospitable. I ate an excellent carpaccio (👌👌) and schnitzel here. Recommended if you are in Brielle!

Last weekend a young man came to deliver my order. He said that it was already a chaos and that he would then bring the rest. I indicated that I didn't mind this and that he could take it easy. Later he brought the rest and placed it loudly and irritatedly on the table.

Took a bike break here because it was raining. Perfect location on the shopping street, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Very friendly and quick service. We sat outside under a large umbrella overlooking the square and buildings. We had coffee (unfortunately not hot), apple pie (small but very tasty) and beer. Clean toilets in the very nicely decorated restaurant.

A bit of “we know us” and service pays little attention, at least that is the experience I have had twice, for guests outside Brielle. It took quite a while before we were helped. Little coordination among themselves. Hygiene in the men's toilet leaves much to be desired (end of the afternoon). In short, a somewhat disappointing experience.

Ik vind de nieuwe menukaart net een tijdschrift, niet handig.. De bediening ongeïnteresseerd. Wij hadden oa de ossenhaas puntjes met stroganoff saus. Wat waren ze taai en zenerig zeg. Heb ik gemeld aan de bediening maar werd niets aan gedaan.. Vorige keer konden we ook uit Tong kiezen en was de kaart beter.. Daarnaast, ondanks dat we gereserveerd hadden zaten we bijna tegen de wcdeur aan... We komen hier nooit meer!

We are completely lost here. Celebrate Remembrance Day as a liberation festival on May 4. With all the additional noise. This was not indicated in advance when booking. We skipped laundry, dessert and coffee. Communicating with each other was not possible. Tip for the owner, choose a restaurant or pub.

Had a very bad experience this time. We had made a reservation for dinner. But upon arrival there were not enough staff to service the upstairs restaurant. Then downstairs near the bar. Something we don't like, otherwise we would have reserved an Eetcafe. And once we found a spot we weren't allowed to sit there because it was already reserved. Strange, we had already made a reservation three days earlier. We then left and went to Eus in Oostvoorne where we had a delicious and enjoyable meal. Too bad, maybe the main force is not our place to eat.
