The menu is quite limited. Most of what we wanted to order was also unavailable. The food itself was tasty, though. A shame. We had made a reservation and were a party of 10. How is that possible? They knew we were coming. Fries are not a 'fresh' product. That was out of stock as well. When you email with your complaint, they apparently find that strange. We used to enjoy coming here for drinks and bitterballen. From now on, we will go elsewhere.

Settled down on the terrace for lunch. It started with the lack of fresh orange juice; well, that can happen. When we finally received the lunch menu, we were immediately informed that 4 dishes were no longer available and that there was no ham left. I wanted a fried egg with bacon instead, but suddenly that turned out to be unavailable too. I then ordered, among other things, 2 croquettes with bread, and to our astonishment, instead of 2 croquettes, 4 bitterballen were served. Yes, the croquettes were sold out. This place is a complete farce. Once is enough, never again!

It's a really nice little place and has a nice menu to choose from, but they really need more staff. That is really frustrating on a nice day with the terrace and such.

A very cozy and atmospheric place. The service was wonderful, with friendly and helpful waitresses and a friendly chef. We ordered coffee, apple tart, and the outstanding eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious, fresh, and served with a big smile. We will definitely be frequent guests.

There were four of us for lunch. Unfortunately, the carpaccio and salmon were sold out. So two people had to choose an alternative. Otherwise, the service and the food were okay.

We settled down on the terrace by the harbor. Lovely weather with a beautiful view. We had one black coffee and one cappuccino. Fast and efficient service with two excellent coffees. We didn't have lunch, so nothing to report there. We had to pay inside (?) and were introduced to the charming interior.

What a wonderful restaurant to walk into, the ambiance was fantastic, and I personally love it. And what an exquisite lunch I enjoyed here, very tasty, it made me absolutely happy. Beautifully situated in the fortress, and the staff are also fantastic, super friendly and hospitable. I'll definitely be back.

Excellent service, friendly staff, and good food. We were with a larger group outside on the terrace, and the service was fast, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was good. They regularly checked on us to make sure everything was still to our liking and that everyone had enough to drink.

Had breakfast here in July with my partner and daughter. Delicious eggs Benedict on brioche bread. Very fresh, beautifully presented, and a perfect combination of flavors and textures. The fresh orange juice is truly freshly squeezed, à la minute. You rarely see that in restaurants these days. The coffee is also good, with a delicious, freshly baked, crispy cookie. A beautiful terrace with sun and shade and a lovely view of the harbor and fortress of Hellevoetsluis. The service is also attentive and friendly. In short, highly recommended!

We wanted to try De Waag too. The food was good, but there's a waitress there who's rather arrogant. She couldn't say anything friendly, and smiling probably hurt her jaw. It didn't contribute to our experience, nor to the atmosphere. So, no, not again...

Bediening slecht. Club Rösti Kip lunchgerecht veel te karig, is geen lunch. Drank extreem duur bier glas 6 Euro, wijn glas 5,50. Twaalf uurtjes verdwenen van de kaart, maar die was wel goed qua prijs en kwaliteit. Voorlopig nooit meer,!!

Two months ago, we made a reservation for coffee and cake for 8 people after the wedding. Upon arrival, three large plants still had to be removed from the table. We asked when we made the reservation if there would be enough cakes to choose from, and they promised us that. Now, the choice was rather limited. Two apple pies for 8 people were far too few. One person took the order, the other brought it. It took quite a while for everyone to have coffee and cake. One piece of apple pie still needed to be baked. Congratulations from the staff after the wedding are free! Furthermore, there's a cozy seating area surrounded by paintings. There are no towels in the restroom. We've had lunch here before, and it was fine!

We were married and went to your place with 8 people for coffee and cake. We ordered this well in advance. When we arrived there was no staff and the staff were not cheerful, they did not congratulate us and there was hardly any cake. We first got the coffee that was drunk and then the cake, of which we did not have much choice. It is a shame.

There's nothing to complain about. Beautiful location and nice seating, whether outside by the water or inside in a beautifully decorated restaurant. The service was very friendly and quick. Our croissants were baked fresh, so it took a while, but the waitress pointed this out to us. Coffee is available with whole milk, oat milk, or soy milk upon request.

Enjoyed steak evening for the 8th time. 36 people maximum indoors (winter) and many more outdoors (summer). The chef Koen will cook a mean piece of steak for you at any desired level of doneness. Super tasty.

Erg genoten van de sfeer en de vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Er zijn een aantal vegetarische keuzes op het ontbijt/lunch menu en daar hebben we dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt. Toast met truffel/eiersalade was fantastisch en ook de toast met burrata en pompoenspread was heel goed. Wc's schoon en nieuw. Porties waren aan de kleine kant.

Super delicious food. Just couldn't choose from the menu. Staff super friendly. Toilet clean. Small tip hook in the toilet to hang your coat. Cappuccino is delicious. Local beer was also well received. Definitely recommended.

One of the best restaurants nearby: perfect food, perfect people, and the best coffee had ever been drunk. Don't hesitate to visit it if you will pass by.

I had lunch here with my friend. The food was tasty. What was less for me, something personal, is that it was a bit chilly inside. In addition, I found it uncomfortable that when I looked to the front, I always saw the "messy" kitchen upstairs and people kept looking into the restaurant. Food and service were good.

Beautiful place, nicely situated with a terrace on the water with lots of sun. Friendly owner with very neat, friendly, civilized and neat staff. Good menu and tasty lunches. Except for pancakes & poffertjes. Score rating 8.9 . So highly recommended!!! Yours sincerely, Rob

Heard a lot of good things but unfortunately didn't experience it. Owner comes in without greeting which comes across as very rude, bouncer is served without any garnish and service is not active. Had to ask twice for a drink. Food was also fine.

In a cozy, atmospheric atmosphere, we enjoyed an excellent lunch served in a very friendly manner. A moment you will never forget, lunch in honor of the 81st birthday of our (great) (great) father.

Always nice to have a drink, the biggest advantage is that it opens early.

The food was tasty, but absurdly expensive. 2 sandwiches in a basket with 2 (small) croquettes and a bowl of mayonnaise, 16 euros?!! Nicely given feedback that I thought this was seriously a lot for the quantity and especially the presentation, but I was simply told that croquettes were expensive and otherwise no profit would be made.

We waited 40 minutes for breakfast. Way too overpriced and then you wait 40 minutes for a toast with some avocado and there weren't even half the tables occupied. And the taste is nothing special.

What chaos, sweet girls in the service, but this does not outweigh the long wait (after waiting 25 minutes... your receipt did not go through). The chicken thigh had run out and bacon was offered in the Cesar salad instead. Rejected this but still received it after half an hour....so I left it as is. Everything around us went wrong, it seemed like comedy capers. Once again, lovely girls in the service, but there is still a lot of work to be done here in terms of organization.

Had a wonderful day with a walk through Hellevoetsluis. At De Waag we made a pit stop with a good lunch. It took a while before the food was served and unfortunately several dishes could not be ordered due to a shortage of ingredients. However, that didn't spoil the fun. The food was also very good.

Have had lunch here 3 times now. Varied lunch menu. Taste/quality was top. Friendly staff, serve a delicious local beer in an attractively decorated shop. Recommended.

We had one drink on the terrace, a bottle of beer was served with a wet beer glass, which immediately killed us when pouring it. Saw that several people on the terrace had the same problem. Don't want to sound like a whiner, but as a "special beer drinker" you expect to enjoy a delicious beer with a foam head on the beautiful terrace at the harbor. I mentioned it to the waiter, but they couldn't do anything with it...unfortunately. Furthermore, friendly service, cozy terrace in cozy Hellevoetsluis.

Mooi oud pand, 2 × luxe vislunch voor €18,50 Besteld. Qua prijs kwaliteit vonden wij het te duur(3 boterhammen waarvan 1 kale boterham met viskroket en 1 kale boterham met gebakken ei zonder garnituur. De 3e boterham zag er redelijk uit met zalm en avocade en tomaat. Voor dat geld hadden wij er wel wat meer van verwacht. Daarna 2 cappuchino dat werd gereserveerd in een te klein kopje. Personeel wel vriendelijk.

Cozy, small and cozy place. Tasty lunch/drink dishes. Wonderfully warm and cozy inside in winter. It's small but nice! And in the summer also outside on the terrace by the water (in the sun!).

Love this place! We always have great service and delicious food. Their American Pancakes are my favorite. Super fluffy and grilled to perfection. I also love that they offer an Oat Milk Latte for us non-dairy consumers. There are a variety of menu options to please everyone in your party and the atmosphere is super cute (whether inside the historic building or outside on the terrace watching the boats go by). Highly recommend!

Prachtige locatie, geweldig interieur met eenvoudig aanbod. Aardige bediening. Niets voor bij de koffie, gebak was tijdelijk op en er werd niks anders aangeboden. Geen kaart. Jammer, we hadden graag wat besteld.

Ik heb hier slechts een koffie genomen. Niet omdat het eten me niet aanstond, maar ik al gegeten had. De koffie is goed warm (bijna heet) en krachtig van smaak. Zonder bitter te zijn. De crema bovenop was mooi en bleef lang liggen. Binnen in het pand is het sfeervol. De muziekkeuze is goed, maar mag van mij wat zachter. Dat is persoonlijk mijn voorkeur.

Hebben er alleen wat gedronken de kaart is niet heel erg uitgebreid vandaar de keuze gemaakt om ergens anders een hapje te doen

Erg lekker geluncht hier, prima uitsmijter, ruime porties en de koffie is goed. Zalig plekje om even te ontspannen bij een dagje uit.

Mooie plek. Maar lunchen zat er niet in. Ondanks dat op de kaart staat dat je tot 16:00 kan lunchen wordt om 15:30 doodleuk verteld dat ze al gestopt zijn met de lunch.

Zoveel historische sfeer en gezelligheid hadden we hier niet verwacht. Een van de mooiste kleine taverne ooit... Mooi buitenterras met prachtig zicht op kade en prinsenhuis. Hier moet je gewoon geweest zijn!

Gisteren een lunch....niet ontbeten....dus naar de waag....luxe lunch op visbasis...dwz 3 boterhammen met beleg en iets van vis...1x garnalen kroket...1x met gerookte zalm op een bedje van komkommer en bietjes...🤔🤔..vreemde cominatie...niet slecht ...maar ook niet wauw...1x gebakken ei...géén vis....lekker vers brood met een knapperige korst...moeilijk snijden!!...niet echt goedkoop...maar wel goed..!!

Schönes Restaurant zum verweilen. Wir saßen draußen und genießten den Blick auf den Hafen mit unserem Hund. Essen war frisch und lecker und Brot war frisch gebacken.

We went for breakfast, arrived at 0930, it took them until 1010 to take the order, we had to leave, still hungry, for an appointment at 1045, due to the incredibly slow service. Still had to pay. Disappointed.
