Changing the Killer Smokey recipe without any mention anywhere. Has it turned into some kind of tomato salsa now? In any case, it is not the Killer Smokey I know... such a shame. Edit: I've already received the wrong one twice with an online order. Something is clearly going wrong somewhere, considering the employee showed me the difference, but neither of them are the Killer Smokey. I'm not crazy! But something is definitely going wrong. It's a shame, but I won't be coming back here. My trust is completely gone.

Very disappointing experience, mainly because of how one employee handled a very simple issue with our order. My girlfriend does not eat spicy food at all, so before ordering we specifically asked which options were not spicy and followed the employee’s recommendation. I ordered my own burrito with spicy green salsa. When my girlfriend started eating hers, she immediately noticed that it was spicy and could not continue eating it. I tried it myself and could clearly taste the heat as well. We went back to explain the problem because we had specifically asked beforehand and relied on the employee’s recommendation. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake or offering a reasonable solution, the employee insisted that the burrito was “not spicy.” But what happened next was honestly the most unbelievable part of the whole experience. She took my girlfriend’s burrito and literally took a bite out of it herself to “test” whether it was spicy. Not a small sample with a fork, spoon, or any other hygienic way of checking it — she actually bit directly into the customer’s burrito. She then said it was not spicy, rolled the same burrito back up after having bitten into it, and handed it back to us. So, just to be clear: an employee took a bite from a customer’s food, left her saliva on it, wrapped it back up, and returned it to the customer as if this were completely normal. At that point the situation went from poor customer service to something almost comical. Whether she personally considers something spicy is irrelevant. My girlfriend had explicitly said she could not eat spicy food, we followed the employee’s recommendation, and she could not eat the burrito. Mistakes with orders happen. That alone would not have motivated me to leave this review. What bothered me was the complete refusal to take responsibility, followed by an extremely unprofessional and unhygienic way of handling the complaint. Definitely not the kind of customer service — or food handling — I would expect from a restaurant. This happened on Sunday, August 23, at approximately 3:00 PM. The employee who was serving us at the counter was the person involved.

Chiddoz has very tasty food, you are always served quickly and they listen completely to your wishes, definitely recommended!

A very disappointing experience. We ordered a €7 quesadilla and asked if they could add a little more meat because my partner does not eat salad, pico de gallo, or other ingredients. The amount of meat they put in was extremely small, practically a quesadilla with almost no filling, and we were still told we would have to pay extra to add more. What made it worse was the attitude of the staff. The guy who served us was unfriendly, had an unpleasant attitude, and showed no willingness to listen or find a reasonable solution. On top of that, the service was very slow. For the price, I expected a quesadilla with a decent amount of filling and, above all, much better customer service. I have had much better Mexican food for a similar price, both in quality and in the way customers are treated. I would not come back.

Yesterday, I ate a chicken quesadilla with my daughter. Upon arriving home, we both became nauseous and developed severe stomach cramps. I developed severe diarrhea.

A big compliment to the incredibly friendly lady who made our order today. She was patient, friendly, and at the same time busy training a colleague. And she makes the burritos really tasty too!

Waste of money I order 2 burritos one with beef and other with chicken and it was tasting like plastic not edible at all and the same situation with tacos.

One of the best burrito bowls I've had. The food was packed with flavour, there were plenty of options to customise my meal, and the staff were friendly and welcoming (thank you for the karaoke recommendations we had fun!). I'd never tried black rice before, but I'm so glad I did, it was delicious and really added something different to the bowl. I enjoyed it so much that I went back a second time and even took some friends with me, who loved it too. Highly recommended if you're looking for fresh, flavourful food in Nijmegen.

Expensive but super tasty and well-filled

Extremely slow preparation and service. The staff takes things very easy and seems perfectly fine with that. After 35 minutes, I still hadn't received my ordered burrito. Don't expect to grab a quick bite here. We won't be coming back. A shame.

Well, the food is really delicious, but the order sometimes gets mixed up, and when you pick it up, the people aren't always that friendly. Today there was a sweet young man who (I think) was on his first shift, and he was still struggling a bit, which is perfectly fine! But the woman helping him was just rude to me and to him… Also, it just took a ridiculously long time to prepare.

I ate at Chidos yesterday, and normally I think it's pretty okay there, but yesterday there was new staff and my burrito was filled so that it was as thick as a sausage roll, really! Later I couldn't believe I had accepted this! Yesterday what they served there was scandalous! So…… just see what you get.

Had a delicious meal at Chidóz in Nijmegen. The menu is simple with plenty of choice for what you want on your own burrito or taco. Highly recommended for those looking for a filling and not too expensive dish.

There must be a way they could work a bit faster. My burrito had been open for 10 minutes before the toppings were added, so the chicken was cold. Ultimately, I waited at least 30 minutes.

I was there today. The food was decent, but the service was disappointing. The man behind the counter was unfriendly, and when I tried to pay cash, he rudely told me it wasn't possible. That didn't leave a good impression.

Great burritos and easy to access location

Food was done really quick and really delicious! I had the tacos, burrito and quesadillas. All of it was really good. I ate the quesadilla the next day and it was still so, so good. The staff was really friendly, the kitchen was clean and the music was good. Definitely recommend it.

I was visiting Nijmegen for the Christmas holidays, and someone recommended this Mexican restaurant. As a Mexican myself, I can tell you it's nothing like Mexican food. I understand I'm not in my country, but what they serve is nothing like what I've tried in other European countries that offer Mexican cuisine. If you're Mexican, don't go there; you'll only be disappointed.

Well, it’s best Mexican fast food we had in Holland so far. Friendly staff, nice clean tables. Definitely a recommendation! As you can build your own Takos or Biritos, kids also get to eat and enjoy.

I walked in during opening hours, and everything had already been cleared out, so unfortunately, I couldn't get any help. I tried to order by phone well before closing time, but I wasn't helped there either. It's a shame about the incredibly poor service, although the food and concept are good. Unfortunately, the management is poor.

Custom-made a burrito, the chicken had absolutely no flavor, wasn't seasoned properly, and the guacamole sauce wasn't good either. I miss the whole Mexico vibe/taste! Otherwise, the staff was great!

All in all, it was fine, the food was good, and the delivery was excellent. But do check the expiration date on your sour cream, because it was absolutely awful.

food is fresh and delicious. (a bit small) but PLEASE NOTE, they count coins and bills in their gloves, which they then rub into your food. Because of this I would strongly advise against eating here, it is disgusting

Overall very good food and friendly customer service for a decent price. However, I recommend to order online as these orders have priority in the making. Means: when you come to the store and you see more than 5-6 people waiting it will take about half an hour until your food will be ready.

We had a burrito and the tacos. Both were really tasty and so much that we even ended up taking some home. You can see them making the food right in front of you and it all looked fresh and yummy. Definitely better quality than most other placed I have had burritos in. Such a pitty I don't live closer, otherwise I would be a regular for sure.

I ate burritos here with some friends. Some of us didn't like it. In addition, the staff was unable to prepare one burrito without tomato. However, they had promised this, but then everything had tomatoes on it. Also, half of my burrito was cold and the other half was warm.

Ordered nachos for €20 (!) for the third time and got tough tortilla chips all three times! Really absurd and for such a price. In the case I saw that they put the tortilla chips in the meal boxes without a cover, so that only toppings need to be added. And sometimes there are 15+ boxes of chips ready! No wonder that shit gets tough in the air. Picked up last time and asked if the employee wanted to take fresh chips from the bag, because last time was tough, to which she responded very grumpily. I tried again to order online, but what lousy quality. You can immediately throw a nacho bowl with chewy chips in the trash bin. Would like my money back!

Update 2024. No idea what happened to this case, but it's not good. Controls just do something or are simply not clear. From 4 to 2 stars. It can change. Excellent food here. Two years ago I would have given 5 stars, but I notice that it is starting to decrease slightly. My favorite, the Classic Burrito, has also become a bit messier. I hope they don't drop any further.

Made an order for burrito and nachos yesterday. Unfortunately, the preparations were mixed up, so my girlfriend had too spicy sauce and I didn't have it on my nachos. Sloppy, but it can happen. When unpacked, the dish was no longer very warm (but okay, delivery - again understandable). The appearance of my dish was... well, not appetizing: it looked more likely to have been wrecked and run over by a car than what I expected. The taste? Mwoah, not blown away, nachos lacked crunch, guacamole wasn't "epic" either, and the chili sin carne was very mild. The burrito, on the other hand, was much better: excellent taste, texture, nice and saucy (spicy, because of a mistake in preparation) and good. Therefore not a top score. It may be better (fresher?) if you eat in the restaurant itself, but I will no longer order and deliver here for the time being. Unfortunately!

Food was great. Large portions and tasty drinks. The music was so loud that I could not hear the employee well. She was clearly not in a good mood. Was very short and irritated. Big difference from the employee who worked 2 weeks ago, he was super friendly and helpful.

The food was okay, too bad the cheese on my bowl wasn't melted after I asked. Moreover, the customer friendliness was lacking. The employee who helped us barely communicated and reacted irritated when my friend had questions about the menu. Even when we came in and greeted her, she didn't greet back. This is the third time my friend has had this experience with the same employee/manager (I don't know exactly what her role is). Another friend also had an unpleasant experience with this employee before. I think this is a shame because I often came to Chidoz, but because of this employee it no longer feels welcome to me.

Food is incredible, but I am slightly worried about the staff at Chidóz. I have come to the one on Molenstraat 3 times and all of the times I felt as though the restaurant was understaffed and the workers were too stressed. The first time I came there were 2 workers, there was a girl who would help do the first steps of the burritos and would do the customer interactions with paying etc, and the “chef” who would do all the ingredients. The “chef” was incredible- he was quick, knew recipes off by heart and was great at getting slow/confused customers to pick their ingredients quickly as to not make the line too long. However he was also responsible for tapping in the choice of meal/ingredients into the tablet. This really disturbed his work flow and the flow of the working in general because the girl had to get out of his way and help with the burritos and then come back to let the customer pay? I couldn’t help but think that this “assembly line” way of working overburdens the “chefs” especially if there are 6 people and the “chef” has to remember each individual order and tap it into the system. The “chef” was great at his job but the fact that he had to tap everything in was weird. Also when I arrived there were 6 people in the line, and multiple Thuisbezorgd orders coming through. I couldn’t help but wonder how only 2 workers were to get through multiple in-person orders and multiple online incoming orders as well. The second time I went was okay because the restaurant only had 2 girls and me, so the staff were able to handle my order with ease. My most recent visit prompted me to write this review; there was a new girl who was an international and a Dutch girl (black hair, eye-colour changing contact lenses and thick eyeliner). Firstly, me and another customer noticed that the Dutch girl was being extremely passively mean to the new girl. The new girl clearly struggled with understanding where to fetch things, how to satisfy customers, how to manage making Thuisbezorgd orders, tapping each order into the system and making all the orders in the line. But the Dutch girl was busy wiping tables down and when she did come to help she would sigh very loudly and roll her eyes and also pull the new girl aside to whisper things in her ear. At one point she threw her hands in the air and went “great! This is SO great!” In an exasperated and sarcastic manner. This was when multiple ovens were beeping and the sound of more thuizbezorgd orders was coming in (as well at this guy that was asking for specific instructions on how to make a quesadilla that was making the new girl a bit flustered). I think the Dutch girl was stressed because the restaurant was busy with 7 people in line and multiple Thuisbezorgd orders coming in, and she couldn’t keep up with everything in time especially with a new girl who was learning everything. I understand this, but the passive aggressive, “omg I’ve had enough” attitude was so so prevalent I was worried about the new girl. I feel like all of these issues I noticed could be solved with a third person on shifts and a set duty for each worker. (For example one person takes the orders and does drinks and payments, one specific person is the topping chef and another chef is the starting the order chef/ cleaner if needed). Having workers do multiple duties with online orders as well is just a recipe for chaos. With all this being said my food has always been incredible, yummy, filling and well prepared. I can expect quality from Chidóz always and will be returning regardless of what I noticed with the staff.

Waiting an hour doesn't matter to me. It's the weekend and busy, fine. But if I pay 17 euros for a bowl of food, I expect a full portion and not a half empty bowl. Where's the rest of my meal? I order often, but this is absurd.

Worried. Great food, but for 18ekkies it really should be more than 1 burrito, guys, not so economical. So price/quality is three times nothing. But the burrito was tasty.

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. The selection is okay. The tacos were also delicious, but I missed an acidic component, usually lemon or lime is drizzled on top, which was unfortunately missing here. All in all, a nice experience. Some sauces are quite spicy 😉

The first time a friend of mine and I went there, an African lady was preparing our food and I asked him if they have hot sauce. "Do you see hot sauce in our menu? She replied with an angry poker face. The second time we went there, that lady was unfortunately serving us with the same weird toxic behavior again. It was two really bad experiences with that person serving us. You have to monitor your employees and how they interact with customers. The food itself is great; but if I see this person inside your store, I would never go in again and I am sure a lot of your customers feel the same way.

Of all the Chidoz that I’ve experienced, this one in Nijmegen prevails as one of the best burritoz in town! Everyone in the staff is super friendly and the vibe of the dining experience is great to sit around and pass through while you munch on XXL sized burritos. Healthy portion sized Burritoz and a good FritzKola make a good combo! Good luck finishing them!

Placed an order via Thuisbezorgd, after waiting 2 hours from the time of ordering, contacted Thuisbezorgd (no response). Then I contacted the restaurant by telephone, because I thought it was taking a very long time. There appeared to be understaffing, which is of course annoying and about which the restaurant cannot do anything at that time. What I, as a customer, have experienced as a lack is communication. I also told this to the employee, but he indicated that he did not have time to inform all customers. Logical, if you are busy with all the orders. However, I do believe that as a customer I have the right to be informed if the delivery time takes (much) longer. Thuisbezorgd also indicates this in their confirmation email: “The average delivery time of this restaurant is 50 minutes. Please note that this may vary depending on crowds, weather conditions, etc. In such situations, the restaurant will normally contact you to inform you about this.” The restaurant did not communicate this and the employee indicated that he did not have time for this. In some other reviews I also read that it sometimes took a long time and the expected delivery time kept changing, this was exactly the case in my case. Something goes wrong somewhere in the communication between the restaurant and Thuisbezorgd, and the customer suffers. My suggestion would be that as soon as it is known that there is understaffing, this is stated in the Thuisbezorgd app. Then I, as a customer, can make a different choice if I don't want to wait. In my opinion, it is better to inform in advance, with the risk that fewer people order, than too many orders and frustrated customers who have to wait a long time without information as to why it is taking so long. There is work to be done to improve this, I think! I would like to mention that other times the order went fine, and the quality of the food is always great! Will therefore definitely place an order again in the future, hoping for improvement.

Genuinely delicious food and cozy atmosphere. But the system for home delivery in between is really annoying. Then you have been waiting for so long and you are told that receipts will be made in between. They should come up with something about this.

The food is really nice and clean. I enjoy the recommendations of classic burrito. The staff are helpful in their recommendations. Do note the classic burrito is a bit spicy, but not too hot. Furthermore, the burrito is really huge and satisfy my hunger. Definitely would come back for more.

It's a nice place with good food that I would definitely recommend. I got a classic burrito which was delicious but a bit too spicy for my taste, causing me not to finish it. Still, I wasn't left hungry because the burrito is well filled. I'll just remember to ask without chipotle mayo next time.

The food is always delicious, but these price increases are unbelievable. I always ordered a burrito and a quesadilla for a total of about 16 euros. That same order would now cost me 21 euros(!) That is unheard of. It's a shame, because I won't order from here anymore.

The food (had a classic burrito) is tasty, but 12 euros for something so simple and relatively small is ridiculous, to be honest. This is simply 1.5 times as expensive as an average footlong sub at Subway, which is also larger and takes more preparation time. My burrito was made in 2 minutes and it is not the case that the ingredients will be that expensive to purchase. Asking 12 euros for a burrito that costs about 2 euros in ingredients plus labor is quite scandalous. I really don't understand why this can't be done for 7 or 8 euros. Again, it was tasty and the staff is friendly, but I'll stick to Subway from now on. And 3.25 for a can of soft drink is also retarded.

Excellent burritos, there is sometimes a big difference between the wraps you order in terms of size. And they suddenly became 30% more expensive this week 😱 I understand that price increases are necessary, but 30%... I order at least twice a month, but will stop ordering immediately.

I have been looking for a good TexMex place in Düsseldorf and around. My ideal is American chain Chipotle. Chidoz is very close to my ideal. Thank you guys for delicious Burritos!

Ridiculous how Chidoz treats customers. We are missing half of our order and after a phone call someone would come by with the other half of the order. You guessed it, no one has ever come by. They are suddenly no longer reachable by telephone. in other words, solve it with Uber. It's scandalous that you treat customers this way, and collect money on the backs of the customers. Shame on you !

Nica and fast service. Delicious food

Best tacos and burritos in and around Nijmegen. That being said, some of their things are overpriced in comparison based on filling tacos should be less expensive than burritos and the bowl. Their guac is good but too expensive for what they add (they should be more oriented at chipotle if you know, you know) They also started heating up the taco soft shells before starting to fill them, which is a game changer! They also have tester hot sauces to try out (ask about it), which just give the food a big level up (3 kinds for choosing) Besides that, they also have a nice stamp card program (5 stamps for a double decker taco and 10 stamps for a burrito) Nice ambiance and staff, but LOTS of orders from delivery apps, so you gotta WAIT A BUNCH if you’re unlucky Last but not least, if you guys reduce the price of the triple tacos, besides being eternally gracious I’d also give you a 5star review :P
