Taco Mundo Nijmegen in Wijk 01 Nijmegen-Centrum

Definitely the last time. Picked it up, so only opened it at home. With the kids' menu, the taco looked like it had been eaten once and then thrown up again; a limp mess on a piece of paper. It lacked any element of surprise. The burrito was decent. The street taco was a joke: 2 old, chewy tacos with a bit of iceberg lettuce, a piece of tomato, 3 shavings of cheese, and a stray piece of vegetarian chicken. The best part was the nachos with guacamole, so from now on I'll get those from the supermarket. Had to wait a long time for it to be ready, a grumpy lady behind the counter, so all in all, anything but a success.

Unfortunately, Taco Mundo was quite a letdown. The tacos had little to no flavor and were incredibly greasy due to the amount of cheese. Moreover, everything was stuck to the box. I could even hold the box upside down without the taco falling out. The pulled beef was also very disappointing. The meat did not look or taste fresh, and in terms of texture and taste, it didn't really give the impression that you were actually eating tasty meat. All in all, absolutely not what I had expected. Unfortunately, no more Taco Mundo for us. The only plus point is that it was delivered reasonably quickly.

I waited a whole hour for my food. My food wasn't very hot or cold, and I asked the delivery person: "Why did I have to wait a whole hour for my food? An hour is crazy, isn't it?" and the delivery person said, "We were busy and there are only 2 delivery people today." Honestly, hire more delivery people, because I am a food delivery person too and it doesn't even take me 20 minutes, and compared to them, they need to work better.

I had underestimated this, but I never thought I'd buy anything like this again. I walked past every time, but I never dared to buy anything, but now that I have ordered... I can't even find the words to describe how delicious it is. You guys are doing a truly amazing job, but yeah, you guys proved me wrong and I like that ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region. I tried almost everything on the menu and truly everything was incredibly delicious.

I ordered food via Thuisbezorgd, it took quite a long time for it to arrive, and then when we wanted to eat the chicken pieces, they were completely raw. This was not prepared properly at all, and we simply received raw food. Especially because it took a while, I would not expect to receive raw chicken.

Delivered in half the stated time, even though we live all the way on the other side of the city. Wow! Amazing! Everything was also good and tasty, just like we know from Taco Mundo in better cities. Really top-notch!

Fine place, food was okay. To be honest, I had expected a bit more from the quesadillas and nachos. Fried chicken and guacamole were really tasty though! It is a bit cheaper than a real Mexican restaurant, so that explains it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For instance, I found the background music a bit too loud, but the employee understood and turned the volume down. It was very quiet when I was there, but do keep in mind that there are only 4 seats inside the restaurant if you want to eat here. So takeout or delivery is recommended.

The food is delicious, and I always feel welcome. The staff treats you well and takes their time with you.

The bad reviews I see are not justified, always good, tasty and usually on time, while this is of course difficult at peak times

I've gotten sick three times now after eating at this Taco Mundo location. At first, I thought it was a coincidence, but three times is too many. It's a shame, because the food tastes great, but I don't dare order from them again.

Delivery via the website. Delivered within 30 minutes. Everything nice and hot. Delicious! Loaded nachos Texan style: good portion, delicious with sour cream and guacamole. Beef burrito: well filled, well seasoned. We'll order from here again.

Ordered a quessadilla, it was delivered quickly and it was still hot and had lots of cheese and chicken, along with the delicious guacamole – in short, dangerously delicious!

I think this is truly the best place to eat, and the people who work there are so sweet! :) If you order, they're usually there within fifteen minutes (the doorbell often even startles me). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

You wait a very long time for your order despite the fact that there are no customers in the store and a lot of staff present, your order is made incorrectly, when you indicate this it is forgotten to be made again, then you wait half an hour for your order. If you point this out to staff, you are treated unfriendly.

I forgot to order a sauce, so I called to ask if they could include it and if I could pay cash at the door. This was no problem. It would take about 40 minutes, but it arrived within 10. Great, but if I hadn't been home, it wouldn't be practical if they initially stated 40 minutes. Then the delivery driver arrived, so I gave him the money for the sauce. He then told me I'd still have to pay for everything. I told him this wasn't true and that I'd only have to pay for the extra sauce. He said what I told him wasn't true. I felt like I was being called a liar. I then told him to call his boss if he didn't believe me. He then backtracked and suddenly said it was indeed just for the sauce and that he'd lost track. I then gave him cash, and he tried to leave with it. When I asked if he'd give me change (as I'd deliberately requested over the phone), he said he didn't have it. So I tell him this is their problem and that I politely called him about it. He then starts arguing with me again and finally says I "could definitely leave a tip." I finally, irritated, handed him the money, since I live above a restaurant and didn't want to get into an argument in front of their door. I do regret actually giving a "tip" because the way this guy treated me was downright antisocial.

Im not doing this often but We placed this order about an hour ago and received it about 30 minutes ago. I opened the door and there was a confused delivery person who hadn't found the house because the wrong number had been given by mistake (I had written half the directions and wrote them in the notes when ordering to make it easier to find) He was very nice, I apologized and gave him a tip. He came to the door with the kind words "it's just leaking and 100% did not fell onto the ground" because it was dark in the hallway and it only got light later when I was upstairs in the apartment; only then did I notice how broken it was and that one sauce was empty and the other was full of dirt. The condition of the bag was very bad because of the empty sauce and the bottom was completely broken and torn, everything else was soaked through by the two open sauces and the open nachos - even the cheese sauces in the box were everywhere. So we called the restaurant and explained nicely with a bit of humor and a lot of understanding how we got our order. When he said that it had been closed for 15 minutes, I apologized and offered that he could just give me a voucher and not bring the food again. Then he spoke to a colleague and said that he generally had trouble hearing me, so I put on headphones and asked if he could understand me better, which he said yes to. Then my girlfriend took over the conversation and became a bit more assertive (and because i was too people pleasing); he made it clear that he only refunds nachos and sauce. After a few long verbal battles, he said the driver said we were lying and then said he wouldn't do anything. My Friend emphasized her lack of understanding and said she could send photos and videos of me getting up, as I said please make a video. He didn't answer and became even more disrespectful. My friend said "I don't understand it at all, unfortunately, I can understand that it is difficult cause you allready closed" He interrupted her, said very angrily that he would give us a bad review of Uber and nothing else and hung up. 😭😭😭

Ordered online, delivery took quite some time. You cannot use multiple vouchers on the website; the website automatically gives you "free delivery" (2.50€) so you cannot use your "free taco" voucher; there is no option to swap the vouchers. They will gladly spam your email with vouchers however. Once the food arrived, portions were pitiful (as others have indicated in reviews here, see images). Website images do not reflect the product received. Flavour was acceptable, but a few bites is all you got. Portion size would have to be doubled or more to reflect price, at the very least matching the imagery from the website. Customer service number is unavailable. However customer service did reply via email (see response from owner) and promised to work on the phone availability, while explaining that the portions sizes is a result of the current market pressures.

Have ordered here several times. It is always tasty and often on time. I had one occasion where they were a little later than planned and I received a chocolate cookie as a bonus. Can happen :) I was happy with the cookie. Burritos and quesadillas are highly recommended! And the quacamole from here too, by the way.

I ordered here for the first time yesterday and it was so bad, we had 2 burritos and nachos, the burritos were even drier than dry and the nachos were limp and just tasted like old chips. And for that you paid 50 euros for bad food

I have ordered from here three times now and all three times something went wrong with the order. Once a forgotten drink, once the wrong sauce (I did receive a discount code for it) and now I had no fewer than 3 (!) hairs in my mouth when eating my first taco. You can imagine that I was a lot less looking forward to the second one 😅. I like the food here, but I think this is such a shame because I just don't dare order here anymore 🥲

Decided to order 3 tacos. This was not the first time I ordered here and I have previously been very satisfied with the food received, but not at all this time. Received the tacos with extremely minimal filling (see photos) and keep in mind that they charge +/- 5 euros here and advertise it completely differently (also shown in the attachment). Finally called and indicated that I was really not satisfied with this and that this was simply not what I could expect based on the website. After a while of discussions in the background, it was indicated that nothing could be done about it now and that I could receive a discount for next time. What should I do with it if it is delivered like this? I think it's a shame as it tasted great the previous times, but I simply don't think this is a suitable solution after being saddled with this measly pile of food for +/- 15 euros.

I used to be a loyal customer of this place, but their delivery service is a disaster. I ordered food at 10 pm, and the app said it was delivered at 10:42 pm, but I never received anything. The store was already closed, and I got an email saying my order will be delivered the next day. How ridiculous is that? I'm very disappointed and won't order from them again. Edit : They called me and refunded the money. The gentleman on the phone was friendly and understanding. That's why I gave them two more stars.

Tacos were inedible. Had the street tacos with ground beef. Tasted very much like cardboard, I had trouble getting rid of it. In any case, ground beef did not look like ground beef. I felt nauseous afterwards. Delivery was good, delivery time on Thuisbezorgd indicated a longer time. The delivery person was at my door when I wasn't home yet and called politely and waited for a while! Big compliments for this!

Went all the way from Uden to Taco Mundo last weekend. And it was definitely worth the trip! Cozy street food place, nice owner, delicious food! Good taste (nachos and bowl), good portion, wide (vegetarian) choice. I will definitely go back again asap! (Very few seats, but that is usually at a street food shop)

Ate nachos, very disappointing. No cheese, almost no chicken, the nachos were warm but dry. Staff is very young and disinterested. It also took a very long time for my order to be ready.

This was worst taco I've ever ate. The tortilla was flavorless. I've ordered an "grilled veggie chicken taco", i had to repeat myself 3 times while ordering and still got an "veggie taco". Black beans inside were hard and the sauces had also no flavour. For 9,50€ i consider it worst taco I've ever ate.

Had something to eat on site today. Meiske at the cash register seemed very disinterested, the music was quite loud, which made it difficult for us to hear her. I had the quessedia spicy grilled chicken. It was certainly spicy, there was too much cheese in my eyes and I couldn't taste the chicken at all. My husband had loaded fries, he said it wasn't bad but it wasn't really tasty either, he had trouble getting rid of it. The concept of Taco Mundo is good, but the Nijmegen branch scores poorly with us. We will (unfortunately) not be back. We both felt quite nauseous on the way home. So I suspect that something at taco mundo was not prepared properly.

Taste wise it was a tad bland but not necessarily bad. The portion of the rice bowl, on the other hand, was pitiful; In fact, their own packaging was only half full. Definitely not enough for dinner. There was also a lot of coriander in everything, even though I only ordered dishes that, according to the website, contained no coriander at all and, just to be sure, I explicitly indicated in the comments that I did not include coriander.
