The food was downright bad. Tasteless meat. This restaurant has clearly cut corners on meat purchasing. The meat in the chicken satay and the babi pangang was dry and tasteless; the meat in the Chinese babi bangang was limp and full of hard pieces of fat. Apart from pieces of onion, there were no vegetables in the teppanyaki. When I mentioned that I missed the vegetables and didn't like the meat, the only response was: this is how it is, so you should order something else next time. Of course, there won't be another time; I'm not eating here again!

I ordered a bami with a chicken omelet from you. At the counter, I explicitly asked if there was any other meat in the dish, to which I was told that this was not the case and that it was only chicken!! To my great regret, it turned out that there was pork in the bami after all, which meant I unfortunately had to throw the food away. I find this very disappointing and would like to ask you to pay closer attention to this in the future. Because of this experience, you have lost me as a customer. This was my first order with you, but also immediately my last.

We ordered chicken, duck and fresh orange juice. Everything was super tasty! Service was warm. The interior in this restaurant has fine dining vibe. Music was calming. We will definitely come back.

I visited this restaurant on my birthday with my family. Great ambiance, good looking restaurant, kind and friendly staff, however the food not so much. I personally did not enjoy the food for the price I paid (non-eu student pov).

Had dinner with family last night: everything was great! Food good and tasty, served quickly, and as always way too much food, but you can take dishes home in containers if you want, so several family members are eating Chinese food at home the next day too! haha. The only downside: drinks could have been requested more often; we had to order them ourselves, not a big deal, but they could generate more revenue by being more on top of things. Otherwise, a great place for authentic Chinese food.

It’s been a while since we ate there. Yesterday, March 5, 2026, Easter Sunday, we ate there again. It was inedible; we had Tipan with spicy sauce, beef tenderloin, and pork tenderloin. It looked like it had been boiled, the meat was tough, looked unappetizing, and neither dish had any flavor at all. We also told them it was inedible. We passed it on to the kitchen. We were offered a free cup of coffee later, no thanks. We paid the full price, but we don't recommend anyone eat there. All three of us had stomach aches and diarrhea afterwards. We ate there on Christmas Day 2023. The service was poor. We had to wait a long time for a drink and even longer for the next one. There was too little staff. The food wasn't much to speak of; a choice of 2 rijsttafels (rice tables). The food wasn't really warm and there wasn't really much of it. Only a big eater would like that. People left because the platter of dishes arrived first, and the bami (noodles) came 15 minutes later. So the dish was cold. They didn't want to stay and eat there, and I don't agree with them. Food much worse than under the previous owner. Far too few staff.

You order suckling pig, but you get babi pangang pork belly!!! It is quite strange if a Chinese restaurant doesn't know the difference between suckling pig and pork belly. Their soup is also virtually tasteless.

In the neighborhood where Frans Bauer was played for generations as if it were a mandatory hymn of daily life, his voice mingled with the aroma of fresh nasi goreng and sweet and sour sauce. It was as if Bauer himself, with his ever-cheerful melancholy, was a kind of master of ceremonies for this neighborhood: a man who reminded people that even in the most absurd circumstances, there's a chorus everyone can sing along to. According to local folklore, Bauer's music doesn't come from speakers, but from the shopping center itself. It's said that the melodies once lingered after a performance on the square, and since then, they wander the streets like friendly ghosts. Some claim you can hear an accordion early in the morning that no one plays. Others say it's simply the ventilation system, but they're people without imagination. There's also a persistent rumor that Frans and Mariska Bauer once sat at China Town, disguised in caps that only stand out more in Presikhaaf. At table 6, the table that always wobbles a little but never topples. According to mythology, this table brings good luck, though it's unclear for whom exactly. It's a typical Presikhaaf detail: everyone knows about it, no one knows why it's important, yet it's passed down. Inside, the menu unfolds like a bureaucratic labyrinth. Not hostile, but certainly inscrutable. Dishes numbered as if they refer to paragraphs in a law book understood only by the kitchen. Yet it feels warm, as if the neighborhood itself is taking a break to give you a plate of food. In a world where doors often close for no reason, this door stood open. And while Frans Bauer hurled his eternal "Do you have a moment for me?" outside, it seemed as if the entire neighborhood whispered: yes, we have a moment for you. Presikhaaf has its own mythology. The pigeons that behave as if they are the true caretakers of the square. The legend of the man who has stood at the bus stop for twenty years but never gets on. The stories of a concierge who still wanders the halls, though no one remembers when he retired. The elevator that sometimes goes to a floor that isn't marked on the buttons. And then there's China Town: a place that not only serves food but also collects folklore. A restaurant that, against all logic, symbolizes hospitality, absurdity, and a kind of bureaucratic compassion that seems possible only in Arnhem. China Town isn't a restaurant. It's a chapter in a story that keeps rewriting itself. A place where the world makes sense, precisely because it doesn't. And while Bauer's voice drifts through the ventilation shafts, Presikhaaf seems to whisper that absurdity is sometimes the most human form of logic.

The food is okay, except on 29-12-2025. The noodles and rice were so overcooked that they fell out of the containers in one lump. It went straight into the trash. Just what you expect from a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The customer service isn't very good. Everything has to be done fast. Pickup lacks atmosphere, but I don't think that's very important.

We used to get food there, but not anymore. Dry chicken satay, overcooked foo yong hai that tasted burnt, bami that was bland, rice barely cooked, bami pangang, greasy, hard pieces, and the sauce was just watery—absolutely inedible. And all that for €45, I was quite sick. The reception was also completely different from what it used to be.

The food was absolutely amazing, but because it was full, we couldn't eat there, so we ordered takeaway. After a half-hour drive, it was still very hot when we got home, so we packed it well.

So far, it's always been delicious, but today was a huge disappointment. The bami and nasi were overcooked and squashed in the box. The meat was dry and tasteless... a complete drop in quality.

Bami babi pangang was absolutely awful, so bad, never had such a bad experience. So soggy, bami tasteless, as if it was expired and quickly microwaved from the freezer. I'll never go back.

Disaster. No one inside and an endless wait. We only just got a drink, and even that wasn't very good. Dirty glasses, and we left without food. Once was too many. Too bad I can't give a 0.

Since the new staff took over the restaurant, it's been a nightmare. We used to go there often and it was always great! Now: dry chicken satay, duck the same. The side dishes are tasteless, and the staff arrives with a hospital trolley for five people because they apparently can't carry the plates anymore. It takes forever for anyone to come in a nearly empty restaurant because everyone just stands around chatting. My mother-in-law's birthday was a disgrace. Sorry, despite making a reservation on a Monday night when there was nothing to do, it was a disaster. Never again for us.

Since my husband passed away, and the cook is gone too, the food isn't what it used to be. In other words, nothing tastes good anymore; the chicken is just dry. The nasi and bami are inedible, tasteless. The fried plantains were inedible. In short, everything went in the trash. Never, ever, ever going back here again.

Born and raised in Presikhaaf. I always went there with my parents. Now that I live in Central Limburg and visit friends, we regularly eat out here.

Today I got food, a spring roll and 4 dishes, the spring roll was good, the rest was inedible, no taste in any of the dishes, I returned the food and got my money back.

We've eaten at the restaurant regularly, and it was always excellent. Today we ordered a takeout meal. It wasn't as good; the babiketjap was bitter and had far too much ketjap, the foe yong hai smelled unpleasant and lacked flavor, and the bami was bland. It seemed like whatever wasn't used in the restaurant was put in a container for takeout. It was a bit of a shame.

I waited 15 minutes for my takeout order, which had been waiting all that time, without a single employee bothering to ask if I'd been helped yet. When I pointed this out, I was simply told, "You should have checked in," without any apology for waiting there for nothing. On top of that, the food was dry, sauceless, and poorly packaged. A little further on, there's Folk Food, where you'll get much better food and service.

Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. Slimy chicken, diced ham in the rice, and the Chinese omelet was dry scrambled eggs, carelessly served with a sauce that tasted like nothing. What a shame! We love Asian cuisine.

I placed an order by phone today and was helped promptly. They clearly indicated the time I could pick up my order. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were hospitable and gave me a friendly welcome. The food was fresh, hygienically prepared, and incredibly tasty. I really enjoyed it. The food was good but the service wasn't up to the mark. There were bees and housefly flying around there. Also we asked for tap water but they gave us mineral water and charged us for that. The food quality and quantity was great though.

Unfortunately, the Chinese rice table wasn't good. The dishes had little to no flavor, and the overwhelming taste was almost the same in every dish. It was truly not a good meal. We won't be going back. The portions are large, though! And the staff is friendly.

One of the last good Chinese restaurants in Arnhem. Unfortunately, I have to correct this; this restaurant is also declining. I'm allergic to mushrooms, so I always ask for them without. It's always been good, but now I've had them a few times, so they're still available.

Have been here before, always with pleasure. This time the service/manner of being spoken to was extremely reproachful and unpleasant. One of the guests has an allergy and had forgotten to mention this when ordering. In order to at least find out which parts of what had been ordered could be eaten without problems, the question was asked. The answer was that it was our own fault and now too late. This was not our question. What could be eaten? Answer again without any empathy. Eventually got chicken soup without taste. Too bad. But we will not come here again.

Takeaway: Bami was greasy and not the taste I am used to from Chinese noodles. Chicken satay super dry. Babi pangang had a strange taste and is one of the worst I've had. This was a good thing 20 years ago, but this was really disappointing. From now on we will go to another one in Arnhem.

Takeaway Chinese rice table is quite mediocre, one dish was okay but mostly monotonous and little taste. And you notice that the dishes are not really made from good products. I don't know what else they serve in the restaurant maybe that is better. But I wouldn't recommend takeout.

Ate there today. Babi pangang, delicious, roasted on the outside, tender on the inside, chicken soy sauce with vegetables and bami goreng with chicken and vegetables. Delicious. If we go to Arnhem again, we will definitely eat there again. Super and still affordable.

Even though it is stated on the site, you cannot pay with a Dinner Voucher. Not a big deal, just that they only report it at the last minute. Definitely not a fancy way of doing business this way.

Enigszins verlaat vanaf het werk twee loempia's, portie saté en kroepoek afgehaald. Alleen de kroepoek bleek vers. Loempia's nagenoeg uitsluitend taugé, slap, half verbrand en smakeloos. Saté was duidelijk al meerdere keren opgewarmd, viel uit elkaar terwijl de bovenste stukjes vlees volledig uitgedroogd waren. Zoals de laatste tijd al vaker, telefonisch een klacht ingediend. "De volgende keer mag u dit gratis bestellen"; opgeven van naam en/of andere gegevens was niet nodig... Als lezer voelt u waarschijnlijk net als ik de discussie aan de bestelbalie al aan aankomen!! Al jaren reden wij, vaak voor uitgebreide maaltijden, regelmatig (graag) vanuit Arnhem zuid naar dit restaurant. Wij vonden dit ooit één van de beste Chinese restaurants in de omgeving. Jammer...!

What a bad thing... yesterday I went out for dinner with my family, me and my girlfriend both eat vegetarian (clearly communicated in advance) but apparently that doesn't happen that much here. While the rest of the family could choose from, I'm guessing, about 7 dishes, I and my girlfriend had no choice, 1 dish. After my girlfriend apparently (rightly) looked disappointed, the gentleman came back half an hour later to ask if we might also have wanted an egg. That took forever and we had to chase it again before we got it (of course everyone had already finished their food) As a vegetarian, I will certainly not return here again and I heard from family that the rest of the dishes were nothing to write home about. In short, bad business, you're better off eating elsewhere.

We used to live nearby, but even after we moved we always drive here to pick up. Simply the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I can't really call it atmospheric inside, I think the decor has been more or less the same for as long as I've been there.

Ik kwam hier redelijk vaak wat afhalen omdat ik het lekker vond maar sinds andere eigenaar is het toch veranderd… en niet in positieve zin. In hun zgn nasi goreng zat niks in .. grauwe kleur en alleen paar stukjes wat als vlees moest doorgaan.. geen groente en ei.. moest thuis zelf aan de bak om wat toe te voegen aan ei en groentes.. bij afhaalbalie zie ik wel allerlei commerciële spaaracties om korting te krijgen om klanten vast te houden maar heeft bij mij niet geholpen, want kwaliteit van eten vind ik belangrijker.. wel jammer want voorheen was ik altijd tevreden.

Wij hebben met 20 bejaarden van de Driegasthuizengroep voortreffelijk gegeten van het Chinese eten wat bezorgd werd. Wij bestellen hier 2x per jaar voor zo'n grote groep.

You can eat better at Folk Food, which is 2 minutes away at a small shop with authentic dishes. It's great there. But here at China Town I will never come againeeerrr I am very disappointed yesterday I had dinner with the kids. First a younger boy helped who apparently didn't feel like it, he was reasonably friendly. I ordered noodles with chicken and sauce separately. This is after eating here for a long time. But wow, what do they think? Quickly make tasteless food, make quick money, the prices are ridiculous compared to tasteless food, what do people think of us? That we guests who come there to order food are not taken seriously? What struck me is that they really like to give attention to random people. In addition, you got tasteless noodles next to the chicken and not even that much. I had a bowl of chicken left over that I wanted to take with me. An older man with slicked back gray-black hair comes to our table. I asked to take the food with him and if he had some containers (he arrived with 1 container). I also asked for the sauce? No, that's a shame, he said just throw it with the meat, I asked for something else and suddenly he turned around. turns around and walks away and didn't even come back! I went angrily to another employee and said, does your colleague treat guests like this? I spit my gallows out. She then gave me neat containers, no problem. I will never come here again, I spent all day on the toilet, this is no joke and the food is tasteless, the service is not professional, they certainly have people's preferences there. Please people, rather order from Folk Food, nice people and always have a solution and the food is more than 100% tastier.

Got food for 100 euros at China Town, Food is very bad!! Watery and tasteless, the sauces are no longer correct And there was a hair in my noodles!! I called about this, but the response I received from the staff went way over my head, right? Customer is king, right? That is no longer the case here! Since Mr. Man is no longer there, not only the food, but also the staff and customer friendliness has deteriorated greatly, so I have to give a star in my review, but they are no longer worth even this one star! I really don't recommend anyone to eat anything here, my daughter was hanging over the pot all evening after dinner! SO WATCH OUT!

When I still lived in Presihaaf, I regularly went to Mr. Moon Yiu Man (China Town) to get some Chinese. Nice chat with Mr. Man and a beer while waiting for my order. I hadn't been there since the Corona period, until 3 months ago. I was in a Chinese food mood again and thought: let me see what it is like at "my" Chinese food in Presikhaaf. Passed in my order, waited on the couch and looked around a bit. No Mr. Man to be seen (he was always there), no more photos on the wall of him receiving a ribbon from the mayor of Arnhem. Strange, everything was suddenly different: cold and empty. When I got home with my order, I looked to see what they had baked. What a disappointment!! Even smaller portions than before and a tasteless snotty mess for a relatively big amount of money. The shower soon passed. Later at the hairdresser in Presikhaaf I told my story and I heard that Mr. Man had died!! Poor man. With his passing, unfortunately the quality at my once favorite Chinese restaurant has also gone. I have resolved never to go there again and to cherish my memories of those good old days.

Altijd geweldig gegeten hier, zeer gastvrij, geweldig personeel, al tijdje nu in andere handen en dat merk je aan de porties die aanzienlijk kleiner zijn geworden, t is krap aan, zelfs de koe loe yuk balletjes zijn gekrompen. t eten was nog steeds lekker maar er bekruipt je een beetje het gevoel dat er vooral verdiend moet worden, jammer.

Hier eten gehaald omdat alle andere Chinees restaurants dicht zaten. Maar dat was wel de laatste keer. Eten was erg slecht. Babi pangang hadden ze tomatensaus overheen gedaan ipv een zoet/zure of licht pittige saus. De zelfde saus zat ook bij de loempia's. Koe loe kai was meer deeg dan vlees. Hierbij zat een saus die hevig naar ananas smaakte. Kon ook niet anders want in de saus zaten blokjes ananas van zeker 2 bij 2 cm. Zelfs de nasi was niet echt lekker. Snap niet hoe je die kan verpesten. Aardig bij wat verschillende Chinezen gegeten maar echt nog nooit zo slecht.
