Chinese, Indian, Surinam Restaurant "Iwan" in Wijk 02 Nijmegen-Oost

I used to live around the corner and saw the quality decline. I'd often complained about the satay with babi pangang, like someone else here. Out of laziness, I wanted to give them another chance, but where a single meal costs €11.30 for pickup, they're charging €13.70 through UberEats, plus a €2.89 delivery fee. For those three pieces of babi pangang and one satay skewer, it's not okay.

This was the worst chicken curry roti I've ever had. The roti was okay, but probably pre-made. The chicken curry was a tasteless and overcooked mash of potatoes with far too little chicken and vegetables. That's no way to make roti. It was a lot...

I ordered food for the second time this week, and the food is fresh and top-quality. The delivery driver was also friendly; the food arrived within 35 minutes. Highly recommended!

My favorite Chinese takeaway restaurant for over 10 years. After not being there for a while, I got beef tenderloin with vegetables and noodles yesterday and it was delicious as usual. The prices have (as everywhere) become slightly more expensive over the years, but the quality remains absolutely top: there was a very generous amount of wonderfully tender tenderloin in the dish with vegetables.

Sorry, it's a shame, I ordered nasi Singapore 3 times and got 3 bowls of fried rice with mix meat for almost 15 euros each. Paid 42.00 euros for 3 pathetic portions and dry, then went back for a sauce but no, sorry, really bad place and cheap food sold for expensive and one myself. bowl of sauce for the dry rice for 15 euros, she asks another 5.90 for a cup of satay, shame on Julie, it's a shame And bad cutlery, see photo

Been coming to Iwan's for at least 35 years, only taking away in recent years. Previously, I would regularly eat on site and then go out. Always got and ate the same thing, Tjauw min moksie. Have lived in Arnhem for more than 25 years but come especially to get these dishes. Still absolutely TOP! It's a shame that the spicy sausage has no longer been available in recent years.

I ordered roti, it was just Chinese chicken, just slippery, potatoes and green beans, it looked like a lot, but the worst I have ever had.

Great place to get your Dutch chin ind spec leftover food. Prices are okay and the food tastes just as you would expect. Special? Not at all. Tasty? That's for sure. Unfortunately, there is too little choice in vegetarian dishes; they could look into that some more!

Order fried rice with chicken in garlic souce 15.99eur.... Received white rice with ham and chicken in vegetable souce, never saw any garlic didn't even smell like garlic so I'm pretty sure i got a totally different order. And no one speaks English there so not sure what she said but this is ridiculous, have you ever seen fried rice and garlic souce, ever?? Thanks, first and last time, definitely do not recommend this place. And for quality that i had, 16eur,waaay overpriced.

Picked up 2 roti special today. Sorry, but this should not be called roti. Was very oily sauce including the tasteless boiled chicken. Vegetables were hardly present. What I have never done is throw away roti, but today I did. I think they would be better off sticking to Chinese cuisine, it is very good there.

Ordered babi pangang with noodles and two satay. You receive this and when you call you hear a lady who does not even speak or understand proper Dutch. All she shouts is. Next time I will have a cup with satay. The service is worse and the quality is even worse.

When I am on a work visit to Nijmegen, it is a must for me to go to Restaurant IWAN to have dinner there. The variety of meals and Surinamese cuisine appeals to me. The service and quality of the meals are very good. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the meals. Highly recommended for a night out or catering for an occasion. You can also order in advance by telephone to take away. Restaurant IWAN gets a big nine from me.

Strangely bad, 3 out of 5 containers smell very bad.

I always come and pick up the combination menu here. Always a very good price for the quality and tasty amount of food.
