This is my favorite place for cocktails. I have been here many times. Every cocktail I and my friends have tried has been perfect. The staff is very friendly. The ambiance is great, and they also have a photo booth downstairs. Highly recommended for fantastic cocktails and great atmosphere in Groningen!

You can get any cocktail you want, they’ll make it for you. Customise the recipe, no problem. Anything is possible and everything is affordable! Bartenders will share their knowledge with you about all the drinks. Absolute recommendation!

It is rare that I am motivated enough to leave a review, but Cilinder earned it due to the service provided. Spent a wonderful evening with two friends and we received outstanding personal attention and excellent service from both the first floor waiter and Tom on the top floor. Learned quite a bit about Whiskey. Did also appreciate the atmosphere and noise levels - friendly laid back people, was a good environment for conversations.

Went to this place a few days ago. My husband booked us a cocktail workshop and dinner for my birthday. At first glance, the ambiance, the drinks, the food was beautifully catered to us. Aristotle was our host for the cocktail workshop. He was assisted by Oliver. Aristotle’s Mastiha won me over. A definite must try. Thank you for bartending us, Aristotle. You are the best. I must say, these guys were kind and amazing gentlemen. Beyond accommodating and welcoming when I had had a bit too much to drink. Haha For dinner, we had a four course meal. Bob gave us the best service. Thank you for your kindness and service, Bob. This place is an experience.

This gem is a true treasure. Laid-back atmosphere and warm and welcoming service. The cocktails are nice, and they've also got a great selection of beer and natural wines.

As soon as I walked in the door a male member of staff was extremely rude to myself and 3 other friends. He asked us for ids and then as we took them out he laughed in our faces and told us to get out and then when we were confused to this manner he said that they were also full that even if we wanted to get a seat we couldn’t. Will not be entering the premises again!!!

It is an amazing spot to drink cocktails at. A very relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The cocktails are at a good price according to the quality of the ingredients and the final cocktail. The staff is super friendly and asking for some modifications is welcome. The bartenders are very passionate and knowledgable about their craft. They give good suggestions to lead you to a fine experience. I would recommend this cocktailbar to anyone from ‘first timer’ to ‘cocktail enthousiast’.

What an interesting location to explore further. The biggest objection is that the different beers are served in the wrong glasses; This is unfortunate for a cafe that values ​​quality.

I exclusively experienced the cocktail offerings at this Groningen bar, and it's a vibrant spot with an edgy, youthful atmosphere. The service was notably friendly and helpful. The cocktails, diverse in selection, were consistently good. However, the downside lies in weekend overcrowding, making it challenging to secure a spot and, even if you do, space might be limited. Despite this, I recommend the place and plan to return.

Good spot to visit for cocktails if all other spots in the city are packed. Set your expectations very low and then maybe you might end up surprised.

The best place to go for cocktails in Groningen together with Stockroom. They also have natural wines, beers and great snacks. Definitely a must when going out for drinks.

I´ve been to Cilinder before and had drinks at their 'usual' bar before. But since the relaunch, a week ago, they exceeded expectations; their new cocktail bar is minimalistic and stylish, the cocktails are amazing. The barkeepers have years of experience and you can see and hear how much they know and love their craft. At the main bar, there is a wide range of wines and beers with great beers on tap with relaxing music in the background, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends. Vegan snacks are available (which I am yet to try), made fresh and an arcade upstairs with different games from the 90s are the perfect pastime.

Amazing bar with a huge (natural) wine collection. This is a place where you could bring your first date and impress them. Or your sixth date for that matter. Would also recommend for a get-together with friends before hitting the clubs. Congrats to Groningen with this new gem!

Pareltje in Groningen! Hip, tof concept en heel veel keus in bieren en wijnen. Niet de standaard drankkaart en dat is wat het zo leuk maakt! Super leuke nieuwe bar in de Oosterstraat, hier gaan we zeker vaker heen!

Deze bar heeft geen kaart, maar een boekwerk vol met de heerlijkste (bijzondere) bieren en (natuur)wijnen. De bar is prachtig gelegen, midden in de bruisende Oosterstraat van Groningen. Komt dat zien en laat je verrassen!

Niet eerder zo'n uitgebreide kaart gezien met bijzondere (wilde) bieren en (natuur) wijnen. O.a. een heerlijke oranje wijn uit Slovenië gedronken en bijzonder bier gerijpt op eikenhouten vaten van Tommie Sjef. Ondertussen heerlijk uit het raam gestaard naar het publiek in de Oosterstraat. Een aanwinst voor de stad!
