Super cozy terrace with very friendly and knowledgeable service. Afterwards enjoyed a 3-course menu inside. In short, a Wine Bar to definitely return to.

We happened upon this incredible restaurant on their 5th anniversary! What a coup for us! We were lucky enough to experience the chefs menu and wine pairing. For 4 hours, we experienced unparalleled service from Ea. She is funny and smart and knows all there is to know about the food, wine and the restaurant. We were lucky to have her attention on us the whole night! We met Rutger, the owner who also joined us for a bit. What a beautiful place with the William Morris wallpaper and crystal chandeliers.

Chef’s menu was great, the ambiance was lovely, and the wines didn’t disappoint either

We had booked a wine/food package with our company's Wine Club. Wines were described with a standard 1-minute tune and other than that it fits well with the dish, it was not explained at all why this wine matched it. Turnip turnip starter was tasty, the rest mediocre. All in all a disappointment.

What delicious food, the most beautiful wines and super friendly service from Rona. Highly recommended. We opted for the 'chef's choice' and that was a treat. Each dish was accompanied by a nice matching wine and explanation. What beautiful flavors. And what an invention, such a cutlery drawer under every table. We would love to come back here again.

The best wine bar in Amsterdam East, the staff knows a lot about the wines and the food is really fantastic. 10 out of 10!

Absolutely soulless. Complete lack of atmosphere. This restaurant is the epitome of Dutch hospitality. Rushed(not fast) and non-personal. Place was filled with either loud coked up frat boys in one side and pensioners on the other side. They don’t even bother setting up your cutlery. You can help yourself from a built in drawer in your table which is full of fruit flies. Avoid.

We had an excellent meal here. Everything is cooked to perfection. They were able to adapt most items on the menu to be gluten free and even had gluten free bread. We waited quite a while for the front of house to seat us but when we finally had our table, our waitress was very attentive. The portions are quite small so you need to order a few plates if you don’t take a set menu.

Very positively surprised by the chef's menu! Delicious food, tasty wine, friendly staff and tasteful decor. The only point of attention as far as we are concerned is the acoustics, as soon as it started to get busy it was difficult to hear each other. All in all, definitely recommended!

Came for the plat du jour which was delicious. Service was perfect - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Classy without being pretentious. I like the reasonable and transparent pricing for water. Plain water should be free really, but at least here they don't overcharge, and sparkling water is the same price. Will definitely return to try the course menus.

That place is really a hidden gem! Located in a residential area in Amsterdam, the restaurant offers excellent food and a good selection of wine.We went there with a group and the staff managed to serve our 20+ people very attentively without major delays.To start with, we were served an interesting vegetarian combination of kohlrabi and capers.The main course was a perfectly grilled piece of meat on a base of sauerkraut and sauce. The crème brûlée dessert was also excellent.The wine selection was unusual, which was nice. Next time I visit Amsterdam, I will be back at Clos for another dinner with friends.

Super nice place with a lovely terrace. Super nice service where we listen carefully to your wishes. Nice menu and delicious wines.

Really delicious food! 4 course surprise with matching wine, everything was tasty and correct. The service was phenomenal, told nice clear stories about all the dishes and wines and thought along with us. Added a cheese board to the four courses, this was a great idea!! Recommended for anyone who has something to celebrate.

New for me but beautiful place in East. Tastefully decorated, very pleasant staff. Delicious dishes and of course good wines. I think the wines are a bit on the expensive side, but that is certainly normal in Amsterdam now...

Came here as a recommendation from a staff member at our hotel in the area. And we are so glad we did. The atmosphere was lovely, food delicious, and staff knowledgeable and friendly. Great wine selection and menu. Nothing negative to say whatsoever. Also, get the gnocchi... trust me.

This is a 10 out of 10! I had the surprise menu and it was amazingly good - 3 courses for 45 EUR. The wine was also delicious. The service was great and very friendly. Love the secret drawer to keep the cutlery - it creates more space on the table. 😉

Had a very nice meal here last week. Even though we were with a large group, there was enough attention for us and the service really took the time to explain, for example, the wines. The food was also delicious so really nothing to complain about.

Did a 3-course high wine here. Very friendly staff, delicious wines, and tasty bites. The only thing that bothered me was the size of the food. I would have expected larger sized portions or more bites per glass of wine. Something you would expect from a high tea, where you have a wide variety of sandwiches and sweets. We ended up leaving pretty hungry still and having to get more food somewhere else.

Had a wonderful evening last night on the attractive terrace of wine bar/restaurant Clos. The parasols and cozy lights create a French inviting atmosphere. We chose a three-course surprise menu. The starter, consisting of three different preparations of beetroot combined with soft sheep's cheese, was both beautiful and delicious. This was followed by a perfectly cooked haddock, served with fregola and peppers, accompanied by a refined sauce with verjuice that brings the flavors together beautifully. For dessert we had a peach carton with creamy vanilla mousse and silky white chocolate ice cream. Clos is on our list to definitely visit again.

Wine bar on the Beukenplein in Amsterdam East. With a cozy terrace and a very attractive ambiance. Motivated and interested staff. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their wines. Delicious snacks that frame the grape juice. Not too noisy and also 0.0 option, for example a bottle of bubbles. Good place for a nice informal visit. Reasonably large interior space and bar.

I was speechless to see that right at the entrance. Was I supposed to be sit there? No, thank you.

Both the menu and the a la carte dishes are delicious. Not the entire team has a lot of knowledge about the wines, but if you get the right one you will get good advice

Incredible food, amazing service and great atmosphere. Had an awesome night trying a range of tapas and being recommended perfect wines. Our only complaint was that smokers were allowed to light up right next to the tables and it affected the taste of the food.

Has a large terrace served by very friendly staff. There are always (at least) 2 available per glass of all types of wine (red, white, etc.) on the menu. The range of bottled wines is much more extensive, so it is worth sharing a bottle with a group (of 4) people. The meal was very tasty.

A nice outdoor spot that will take you out of the main tourist area, which is great. Fantastic oysters and the 🍷 flowed freely. Less of a dinner and more of a grazing situation.

Randomly selected, we were looking for a wine bar. Found it!! And she didn't want to leave anymore. Super cozy. Top service. Lots of wine choice...but the service was very helpful with that. Finally went to eat. No regrets, besides the fact that they were very beautiful plates, they were also very tasty. Recommended!

Nice atmosphere, nice presentation, but in terms of taste I didn't think the food was particularly special. That's mainly why I go to restaurants. Friendly service!

Enjoyed drinks and delicious snacks.

What a nice place with a large terrace and great service. We came for a 4 course high wine. The weather was sunny and warm, so we sat down at a table on the terrace. The high wine started with a Riesling that was paired with a cod rillette. The wine was fresh, mineral and full-bodied and paired well with the dish. The second wine was a white Rioja that was paired with Dutch shrimps with a foam of celeriac and hazelnuts. The wine was delicious, the best wine of the day. The 3rd wine was a red wine (forgot which one) and it was paired with a piece of Korean-style fried chicken. Both very tasty. The chicken was crispy and was well coated in the sauce. Finally, we got a dessert wine (also forgot which one 😅) that was paired with 2 different cheeses. It was a good end to the afternoon. The wines are also poured well, so you don't get half glasses. (In some photos some wine has already been drunk from the glass) In addition, table water can be ordered and refilled free of charge. I will definitely come back here again! Recommended!

Very nice service and super tasty food for a fair price. I can't recommend this enough, you really notice that this is a place with love and attention to food. Be sure to try the spring oysters, picanha and bapao

Discovered by chance Le Clos is a very affordable, high quality gourmet restaurant. Very nice surprise on the evening menu offered on Sunday. The terrace is very pleasant and the servers are very attentive and pleasant.

I really enjoyed my experience at Clos. However, if I were to do it all over I would do it a bit different. We came for a sit down dinner, and were a bit surprised by the menu (our fault). The most important thing to note is that the food is absolutely delicious. We had the cod, fried chicken, white asparagus, and the lamb. All were prepared well and all tasted phenomenal. The second thing to note is that the portions are all rather small, this is intentional as you’re getting a selection of plates generally to share. I would definitely come back, but next time I might consider sitting at the bar or outside, having some wine and snacking on the various items, as opposed to planning a full sit down meal.

This is a terrific restaurant. Very innovative ways of crafting flavors in each offering. We were extremely impressed. Wonderful service as well.

Very nice find. The staff were so friendly and so accommodating. It is amazing to share and sample the dishes. Some dishes like the bao are larger so ask if you are not sure. The four course menu is really good and the wine pairing was spectacular. The Pfannebecker Riesling and the Dolc Mataro were particular standouts. The lamb and fish were perfectly prepared and the dessert was like heaven.

This restaurant has an extensive wine list. We chose some appetizers and a bottle of wine, all of which were pleasing. The only drawback was the noise level, but despite this, we had an enjoyable experience.

We ordered a 4-course menu (although we only took photos of 3 of them). All dishes were delicious and the chef personalized the menu according to our food restrictions. The service was also amazing and really kind, making us really comfortable during our dinner. It was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to everyone.

What a nice place this is! Staff who still walk around with a smile (and yes, that is a rarity), the chef who serves his own dishes and delicious wines. We opted for the chef's 4-course menu and the waiter chose a delicious bottle of Chardonnay for us. Exactly the taste I was looking for and delicious with all dishes. I was particularly a fan of the polenta with romesco. Delicious.

The food and wines were yummy, but totally overpriced for the amount of food we got. These prices I would wanna pay for a more high end restaurant then. For me reason to think twice if I would go again.

Had such a wine tasting on Sunday. Very nice concept. You were given a 'more expensive and less expensive wine' to drink (blind tasting), and then you observed and described the wine with the service and your companions. I will definitely come back for this! The only downside was that it was very quiet, there was another group in the entire tent.

Clos has very good dishes served in such a nice environment. It’s rather a big place compared to most wine bars in the city, yet it still keeps the cosy and friendly vibe. Food was very delicious, we took 2 fingerfood plates, 2 main dishes which we shared. The beef cheek was extremely delicious. I would go back even only for that. All in all, we had a great evening there.

Very odd place with very cool design and poor food and slow but extremely gentle and friendly staff. The 5 course menu option I took, was a mix of ingredients where one always didn’t match the others. I see they are trying to show off, but I’d recommend to focus on not blending the tastes, but to focus on the ingredients. The place that night was completely packed and the staff and/or kitchen was slow. Took me about 3-3,5h from start to end. The place is very loud in the evening. The design and interior is really cool.

Niet goedkoop. En is dan ook meteen het laatste wat ik aan te merken heb op Clos. Heerlijke, bijzondere gerechten. Ze lijken al lekker op het menu en daarin word je zeker niet teleurgesteld, integendeel! Heerlijke wijn. Ontzettend prettige, attente bediening.We hebben er een heerlijke avond gehad en er zijn allerlei mogelijkheden met wijn en eten die we nog niet eens hebben uitgeprobeerd. En voor de glimlach op je gezicht.... Hoe je je bestek krijgt. Ik heb er een foto van, maar ik zou zeggen ga dat zelf maar uitvinden...

Een van de leukste horecazaken van Amsterdam. Heerlijk gegeten en gedronken, gezellige sfeer en super betrokken personeel. Hier zou ik zeker naar teruggaan!

Wat een top tentje!!! Eten is 10/10. Zulke smaakvolle en boeiende gerechten. Super lekkere combi’s van ingrediënten. Ook de wijnen zeer goed. En bediening is heel kundig, ontspannen en behulpzaam. Echt hele fijne tent. Aanrader!

Heel erg leuk! Op de kaart weinig wijnen per glas. Vind ik persoonlijk wel bij een wijnbar horen, dat je veel per glas kan proberen. Maar goede sfeer en lekkere wijnen en lekker eten.

Vooraf het menu goed bekijken. Menu van de chef was aangevuld met bloedworst. Niet iedereen is hier even gecharmeerd van. Wijn en uitleg is top. Sfeer is heel goed.

Heerlijke gerechten die de smaakpapillen op een verassende manier weten te triggeren! Vriendelijke bediening en top sfeer! De prijzen zijn een tikje aan de hoge kant.

Super nice restaurant/ wine bar in East. They prepared a 3 course vegan menu for me, on demand. The wines are great and so is the service and vibe. Warmly recommended.

Auf der Suche nach einem netten Lokal, was von unserem Hotel aus gut zu erreichen ist, sind wir im Clos gelandet. Auf der Terrasse haben wir dann gemütlich gesessen und uns ein paar Kleinigkeiten zum Essen bestellt. Die Weinauswahl ist top und auch die Beratung war sehr gut. Auch der Service war klasse und sehr aufmerksam. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung hier mal vorbei zu schauen.

Was twice in two weeks, so tried everything on the menu and it's just perfect! Update: went for n-th time and it's still as good as before😆 It's a few months later, still great as ever and our fav water is back too :)
